We have stayed here many times due to its location & access to shopping. The service is great. The staff is friendly & helpful. The outside of the property could use a good \"refreshing\", but it is a good stop if you need some extra space & you're staying for a week.

The breakfast menu was ok. Food was good enough…the room could definitely be cleaner and updated. We stay here because the whole family can be together instead of getting multiple rooms but I would prefer to stay in one of the nicer hotels in the area. Nothing about the hotel is exceptional.

Nothing is perfect but overall a nice play to stay. Staff are all very helpful and respectful. I had an issue with the 1st room and they quickly helped me get a 2nd one without any issues. Amenities are nice. Breakfast is decent. Pool is nice. No pool towels available so bring your own. Beautiful property. Overall very nice. Will come again.

The overall quality of the room was far less than I expect from Hyatt. Air conditioning vents were very dirty, carpet stained and dirty and the room smelled of smoke. Other guests were smoking (both cigarettes & marijuana) outside of their rooms with smoke drifting into our room.

We got there, got our room key, and entered our room (2nd floor). Opened the door and the room looked like someone just left. Towels on the floor in the bathroom, a bag of trash on the bed, the bed still disheveled like someone just got out of it. While I went to the desk to get another room, my family noticed bodily fluids (that will not be named) on the ottoman. It took about 20 minutes before we got another room. Had to lug all of our things downstairs, then up stairs, as the new room was also on the second floor. The room was sweltering. Took a day to figure out the thermostat, as all of the directions for use were worn off. I went to the front desk to get towels, and linen for the pull out sofa which was not in the room. It took staff at least 15 minutes to find towels and a blanket. Meanwhile the phone was ringing at the desk, guests were coming in (one of which by the sound of it) also was having an issue with their room not being ready. The staff that dealt with breakfast were wonderful. They went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. Overall, for a hotel that aligns themselves with the Hyatt name, I was EXTREMELY disappointed.

The continental breakfast was good. There was a nice variety and the gentleman in the kitchen kepted up and kepted it full.

The bed in our room was not comfortable this time as it was last time. It felt like I was sleeping on a brick and the blackout shades were not as good as our last stay.

I liked the area but honestly it wasn’t anything I would recommend or stay at again. I got this place because I was wanting to swim at the pool it was in the 90• during my stay and the pool was closed the two days I stayed. Staff did really seem to have any answers that made any sense. It was full and it didn’t look like anything was wrong with it. The just said it wasn’t going to be open. I heard other guests talking about it it also.

The property was very quiet and safe. Shopping areas were also close by.
I would recommend that management does a more thorough check of the rooms because we had to switch rooms. There was a strong smoke odor as soon as we entered, and the coffeemaker was missing. The staff was very apologetic and did not hesitate to offer us another room. I wish I remembered his name. He was very accommodating. He was doing everything: \"check-in, repairs, answering phones and questions, just to name a few.\" I really liked our new room.

So the area was nice but off rip the guy infront was just not helpful . He was just trying to get me out lol . I was asking questions about the area and not communicating at all . I asked about the pool he said yeah that not happening today the storm made us close the pool . I said oh it not raining anymore so maybe later . Mind you it is 3:45 . He said maybe tomorrow . He said they don’t sell any beverages here only during breakfast that it . I went to the room it was nice . Still a bit dirty lol we found a person earring in the carpet my 2 year old stepped on it . Smh the bathroom cieling has mold as well . Other than these things everything was good . Room was spacious

The kitchen and living room area were very functional. The lighting in the reading area was poor. The air conditioning was hard to manage and it was either too hot or too cold. Overall, it seemed that the Hyatt house bought an inferior property and tried to make it look like their brand. We'd rate it 7/10.

I was completely disappointed in the deceptive advertising of a restaurant/lounge that showed pics of all kinds of food. There is no restaurant/lounge at this hotel! It literally does not exist. That was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. I will definitely never stay here again.

Was disappointed that the microwave wasn't working and when brought up to hotel staff nothing was done about it. We had to throw away all the food we had that couldn't warm up quickly. Also, sink kept backing up in one of the rooms and had to wait for it to drain. Other than that, everything was good.

Front desk was awkward, no eye contact. Seem to bot like to talk. Dis not hive info about bfast times. Bfast attendant started clearing out by 8:45 no refills as early as 8:30. Very poor service. Room kitchen had 1 plate and 1 fork. This place is not good.

Continental breakfast was good, concierge was very friendly and polite.
The hidden $250 hold fee was distasteful and uncalled for, the pool not being opened was not a good thing. What if we did not have that $250 would we of been turned away from our room we had paid in full in advanced and then been told no refund.

This was the worse place I ever stayed in my life. We paid over $200 a night and it was the most filthiest dirtiest place… Could not even get another room on the first floor due to us being in handicap was very disappointed. Will also post this on yelp. They did offer a place on the second floor, but due to My Sister’s bad knees we were not able to take it, but that was a little cleaner…. I could not even get my money back because I booked it through you guys. disappointed. They did try to send an Girl to clean, but the place is just so filthy from not keeping up maintenance and not having a clean on a regular basis. I have 28 pictures if you need more unbelievable!!!!! I forgot to tell you the carpet was filthy too had to leave shoes… could not walk on carpet outside the room was stains of gum and cobwebs all over in the front.

I booked this hotel to attend my daughter’s graduation. Since her time in Camden I have stayed at many local hotels when we visit. I booked this because it was a HYATT and didn’t check the reviews. I prepaid. After I booked I looked at the reviews as we have had some sketchy hotels recently. I was horrified to see some of the reviews and was panicked. I couldn’t cancel. So on way we went. From Canada. I was pleasantly surprised. Property was wonderful, room spotless. 2 bedroom suite. I called to ask where to get ice and FD said in our freezer. I explained there was no ice maker in the freezer. They then gave me 4 bags of ice for our stay. (Not sure where the ice maker went but things happen) I was very grateful. Towels great, bed comfortable great breakfast. Not sure what the bad reviews are for we will definitely book here again when we come back to NJ.

Issue with early check-in request

The only issue we had was regarding our early check-in request. We requested early check-in (three times with three different phone calls) and seemed to get a different story with each phone call. The first on-site person I spoke to claimed there were no guarantees, but he \"noted the reservation\" with the request (it was the day before we arrived). The second on-site person I called mentioned that there was no note on the reservation, so he \"noted the reservation\" and said I would get a text message as soon as the room was ready (it was early in the morning the day of our check-in, he felt confident our room would be ready at least a little early, but I never received any text messages or automatic updates). My third request for an early check-in was upon arrival, just one hour before check-in (we arrived 2:00pm for the 3:00pm check-in). Once again, I was told there was an automated early check-in system, but our reservation was not \"in line\". Our reservation was added once again (or so I was told) and we waited in the lobby until 2:45pm, when our early check-in was finally ready (15 mins early). We were verbally notified, but still never received any text messages or automated messages. Throughout the process, all we wanted was a realistic idea of the possibility of an early check-in, but felt as though we were mislead and our requests were never properly recorded, despite our efforts.

It was nice to find a hotel with two bedrooms. However, once we got there our room was NOT ready. Check in is at 3pm and our room wasnt ready until almost 7pm. The front desk manager could have cared less, not his problem. Acted like we also would not get a double bedroom like we had booked (but we did). I called as we ran to walmart to wait and asked if they had a restaurant or bar and he stated yes but it was non-operational. I have a 5 year old and its time to start winding down for the evening and we cant even check into our room. This is friday evening. Sunday I called to see if we could get some clean towels and nope. None available. What hotel doesnt have extra towels to give when your literally staying 4 days? Every single time we walked into our room it smelled as if someone just smoked the biggest blunt ever, but there were signs everywhere about not smoking-anything. Just an all around crappy hotel. I have no idea how it got the ratings it did. Oh and the manager said he would discount our room from the late check in but when we left he was nowhere to be found and I left my name and number and never received a call from him. He never had any intentions to make things right.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING A ROOM HERE.

I read the good reviews and saw the reasonable rates, so I took a chance and booked a week at this hotel. It was the worst lodging experience of my life. The rooms and amenities are nice enough. The problem is that this place contains a basketball court in the center courtyard. I don't know who thought this was a good idea, but kids (and young men who look like they really should be at work or school) are constantly bouncing basketballs throughout the day, and the hotel does NOTHING about it. On April 26, I heard the sound of basketballs dribbling from 8:48 AM until 9:09 PM. If you want one iota of rest or peace of mind, avoid this place at all costs. You have been warned.

We arrived to the property around 6 PM on Friday and at the front desk while checking in we were never informed that our room was downgraded because of an issue with the original room being booked. We had 4 adults staying with us and they placed us in a 1 bedroom with a bathroom in the only sleeping area. Our friends that were joining us checked in around 9 PM and they were the only ones staying in there room and only required one bed and were placed in a TWO BEDROOM that we were told was unavailable. They were told their room was upgraded because they no longer had one bedrooms available. We went back to the front desk and complained since we were a larger party and required the larger room and was told it wasn’t available. The place isn’t terrible but their communication with their guests is terrible. They charged us $30 more than what I agreed to on Expedia and also charged $220 deposit when it stated $100 in the original email. Overall the rooms aren’t worth the price and it needs a lot of maintenance and work. Stay at the Hyatt Place if you must stay anywhere, they seemed much nicer and accommodating to their guests.

It was quiet and private. Except for when little kids in other rooms were having melt downs, the noise levels were not loud at all. I loved the direct access to our suite without having to walk down an interior hallway past other guest rooms. Because of this, we didn't have to worry about people loitering. I also liked that there were only three levels and about 8 units per level. So, it wasn't overly crowded. I liked that they served turkey sausage and other options for non-pork eaters.
