This hotel was an extended stay and needless to say there was a lot of people smoking around the property and throwing their cigarette butts on the ground, even though there was an ashtray and signs. Some people are just plain rude. The room was nice, but had cigaret burns on the sheets, which were changed once I made management aware, but this should never have been allowed. Also the towels we were given had old stains on them like some one used them to mop the floor with. The room had a kitchen with a full size fridge which was nice, but most of the dishes and cutlery was missing. The coffee pot in the pictures was a regular coffee pot, but the one in the room was a tiny one that used pods. We were given extra pods, but it seemed that we had to ask for things which should have been there. Management was very accommodating and friendly and even saved a parking for us during our four night stay. I did not feel very comfortable. The location was the best part of our stay. Close to Walmart and restaurants, and very close to highways.

This place is absolutely disgusting. I booked 2 days and checked out after the first night!!! I couldn't wait for the sun to come up!. Roaches and dirt stains everywhere! I DO NOT recommend. The board of health should come in and shut this place down

What really made my stay here great was the staff. They were incredibly down-to-earth, helpful, and quick to respond to any concerns. When I first checked in, the room I was given looked worn out, especially the couch and carpet, which were clearly due for replacement. I brought it up to the front desk, and they immediately changed my room without any hassle.

The second room was excellent and had everything I expected from an extended stay: cooking utensils, a clean and comfortable setup, and a welcoming atmosphere. Parking was easy, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout my stay.

The only hiccup was being overcharged at checkout. Thankfully, the manager handled it promptly and professionally. Every time I called to follow up, someone answered the phone, apologized for the error, and provided updates on the refund.

Despite the rocky start, the service more than made up for it. I’d definitely stay here again.

okay here is a genuine review. we travelled to jersey for an event. the hotel is used as some sort of homeless/voucher program that is obvious from the start . you need to know that going there. yes there are people hanging around , there was a woman nodding out on the sidewalk, and the tenants who live there aren’t very respectful to their “home”. we had no idea that was the case when booking because it does look like a nice hotel.
that being said , the staff was kind to me and my family , we had no issues with anyone on the property , we weren’t hassled and it wasn’t loud inside or out. we slept well and had a fine stay. it’s not the cleanest and it’s not the nicest place and there are busted cars in the parking lot and cops do patrol the lot but it did the job and we got a good nights sleep and moved on. the manager and staff did the best to make it an enjoyable stay..so make your decision as to what you’ll accept at a hotel .

The moment we checked in and opened the drawers in the bedroom roaches came out. We then walked around the bathroom to see the previous tenants clothing hanging on the back of the door. The shower wasn't cleaned, we saw people's hair in the shower. The bed in the master bedroom was broken. if you sat on the left side of the bed the right side went up in the air. Behind the door had blood on them and numerous fingerprints as if they were never cleaned. The doors didn't close all the way. We even went to Walmart to buy roach spray because it was disgusting. Downstairs in the lobby and outside there are numerous suspicious people walking around and roaming, making it very uncomfortable/ especially to stay with a child. When bringing these concerns up to the hotel, they never offered an apology or anything to fix our concerns. We could not stay the night with these conditions and had to book another hotel because it was just that bad.

We had the 2 bedroom suite and we loved it the beds are queen size and you still have a nice size sofa bed. Full size fridge and stove and a microwave. This room is great. The staff is polite and willing to help you. The only downside is no pool or breakfast.

The door to the outside old not lock. The inside doors had no handles. The room had holes in the walls. The sink was held together with duct tape. The drawers were broken. We left when we saw the cockroaches on the walls. We did not stay and had to cancel some of our plans since it was 830pm

The room needs attention. The condition was poor. The kitchen area had an odor, the walls in the room were marked up, the doors were scratched, the were 3 remotes for the TV’s and only one had batteries, there was a screw sticking out of the door. I wasn’t asked to provide a credit card for incidentals, thankfully I’m not worried about me and my guests destroying the property but maybe consider taking incidentals from the other guests you let stay there. Overall, needs a lot of attention and maintenance. Thankfully the beds were clean. The parking lot and clientele were sketchy. Witnessed a drug deal right in front of the front desk outside. Probably wouldn’t stay here again but it’s sad because the property has potential.

Mainstay had the best employees ever. The managers are the best and completely reasonable. They make sure all of your needs are taking care of at all times night or day. The rooms are extremely clean and beds are comfortable. I would recommend mainstay to anyone for any occasion. They are equip to handle all your needs. Business or pleasure. Horrible. Got a refund and left within 30 mins. Gave me a key to someone else’s room initially. New room smelled awful, stains everywhere and blood splatter on the door. Prostitute in the lobby was not what I needed my kid to see.

Checking in to this establishment was a nightmare. There are homeless people sleeping on the lawn outside, police arrived as we were checking in because someone had placed a 911 call but nothing could be done about it. As we went to our room, it was filthy. 4 families were leaving and getting refunded right after checking in due to the deplorable state of the hotel. There was an extremely unpleasant smell in the elevators and also in the hallways. There are a lot of low income families that have been displaced or cannot afford rent and they are being placed here. This hotel is not for families. This location was chosen due to the option of having multiple bedrooms within the suite. I can say you get what you pay for with this one... the halls smelled, the rooms were unkept, the furniture has stains and the parking lot stayed dirty. We were in town for a funeral so didn't have to stay in the room often, but when we did we just wanted to go to sleep and not be reminded of the conditions.

The window didn’t shut all the way causing the room to feel humid and damp, and the bathroom door didn’t shut properly. This property houses people who are homeless, and in the throes of addiction. The atmosphere around this property is terrible. In fact, all of the hotels on the south western side of Route 73 all have this problem do not stay here you will not feel safe.

The room I was given had someone in it who was working on the television. There was no warning of it the second room I was given in a supposedly quieter area. Also had a man inside working on the TV television there’s too much going on at this property, and the young lady who works the desk had her hands full, she doesn’t deserve to work in a place like this. They were pamphlets for the covenant house, which is a center for people who need help with addiction on the same counter for local restaurants in the main lobby of the hotel. I’m stating this, so no one feels surprised when they arrive and discover what it’s really like there.
I refuse to allow my family to stay at this hotel. I’ve been working on trying to get a refund ever since.

Very disappointed, I got there in time to get ready to meet friends, while getting ready, I found trash under the bed,and sofa that filled a shopping bag, stove top was dirty and not cleaned and food left over from the last resident who stayed in that room!! I brought the bag of trash to the front desk, all I got was \"I\"m sorry\" the least they could have done was knocked off half the price! Won't be back~

Broken locks on entry door, ceiling panels akimbo, or missing, carpeting torn out,….

This was a subpar hotel. Service required you to get stuff at main lobby like there was never a blanket on my bed both times I booked here. And little to no shampoo or body wash to use. Other tenants seemed to be a bunch of crackheads and was sketch to be in. Doors to hotel was held open by things people grabbed outside to hold door open so they didn't need the key so I felt not very safe. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to be honest.

My reservation and check in process was ok. I was not expecting to pay a $100 pet fee but was offered a discount by one employee but was still charged the $100. Then upon getting up the next morning my kids went to use the microwave and found food left in it with flies around it. We needed towels, washcloths, blankets and pillows and remotes to all tvs and we had to constantly ask for more than 1 item. My husband asked about washcloths the morning after and was told 2 different times that they were not ready, so bought some just to have during our stay. Upon encountering the staff (,maids) they were very pleasant and helpful but did not speak any English. I think that in this field someone nwwsa to speak or at least understand some English as far as the public is being dealt with it would help with communication breakdowns. My overall stay was ok, I give it a 5 outta 10. The property was very nice, the rooms were descent, but could use some work or remodeling, and they could use a pool for the guests especially if children stay as well. We really enjoyed the area and the location if everything.

This property was very dirty. The couch had large stains all over it. The carpet was shredded in spots like an animal dug at it. The doors had dirty fingerprints/hand prints. There is no hairdryer in the room. The smoke detectors are covered with plastic and wash clause. When asked for additional towels, the clerk at the front desk does not speak or understand the English language.

This hotel is a dump. From the check in to the check out I would not let my worst enemy stay here. The whole place smelled of weed. They let people rent out rooms for parties. Then lets talk bout the room. Stains all over the place, I think someone got shoot or thur up on the sofa which smelled like old eggs. The sink had no stopperthe wall had a hole in it to the next room, kitchen floor was sticky and the best were the roaches in the toaster. NO USB, NO TISSUES NEVER AGAIN.

Hallways smelled of marijuana. Cleanliness was lacking particularly in the bathroom and kitchen. Rotten smell coming from kitchen sink drain. Smell of cigarette smoke coming from bathroom. Had issues with the toilet flushing. Gave us two towels for a two bedroom suite with four guests for a four night stay. Stopper on bathtub broken, toilet paper holder broken. Beds had a top sheet and \"blanket\" that was thin like a sheet- we ended up asking for extra. No breakfast- not sure if this was a listing mistake? There appears to be a pool but must not be in working order. Could've been worse.. but could've been much better. Would not stay here again. You get what you pay for.

They did not have breakfast buffet as Hotel.com stated.
Their kitchenette missing some dishes, tableware, frying pan, etc...and no coffeepot. Bathroom sink stopped did not work.

Night front desk man was nice. Other then that not much to say. i can see why marriott pulled the plug on this property! Dirty, unsafe, door locks look broken into. crack heads in parking lot smoking. No and i mean NO service what so ever. Not saying i was forced to stay here but it had a kitchen and i wanted home cooked meal, but that was not possible as they have old rusty dirty pots. No pan. NO DISH SOAP!!! not enough towels. Fitness room only has little boy size weights. MOTEL feel. i’m very disappointed!

If you like druggies, hookers and bad management then this is the place for u! this has become the crack head inn. General manager needs to be replaced. Don’t ask for soap or towels or cleaning supplies because they will call the cops on you and lie and act like you are in the wrong! young black front desk worker should not have a job! She called the cops and also told me that her “Sargent ” dad was gonna come. lol not sure what that meant but what did show up is her mom that looks like a man and started screaming for no reason like a lil @itch! They don’t have anything in the rooms as far as, clean sheets, SOAP!!! coffee. forget about asking a housekeeper for anything because all they say is” we don’t have it” General manager doesn’t even greet customers. Gave me a very bad experience! i WARN you all to stay away! if you don’t believe just go sit in the parking lot at around 11am. YOUR WELCOME!

Only decaf coffee was available and no creamer or sugar packets. Advertised with a free breakfast but nothing available. Wouldn’t be an issue but it was listed on the website as such. Don’t stay here unless you absolutely have to

Would never stay here again. Noisy, dirty, and the place is pretty much falling apart (pictures falling off the walls or just laying on the floor), paint coming off everywhere and the furniture is FILTHY! I wouldn’t allow my kid to sit on the sofa at all! And I wouldn’t take off my shoes the whole time either.

Very nice property, I stayed here with my two younger children and they loved it as well. We were very comfortable, felt safe, and this location was convenient to restaurants and things to do with my children. I would definitely stay here again

Room was very dirty, Hal cleaned. No utensils in draws or cabinets only towels no wash cloths, asked for wash cloth they gave me a dish towel. Tommrw had good all over floor in refrigerator, no comforter on bed, just thin blanket, complete noooooooooooo

Taking the elevator to our room, someone had pissed all over and no one to clean at 10pm at night.
Online advertisement for complimentary breakfast but was told that was not true. They don’t do this again. Sign at the welcome center also still has this same sign all over.

So where do I begin? First off… this is no longer a Marriott property, and it shows. There is literally no staff, no amenities (pool, WI-FI for the TV) & no housekeeping. They didn’t even Have trash bags for the rooms. It’s filthy, inside and out. The few staff members that we did see informed us that the property changed hands and the new owners are dirt cheap & money grubbers. I selected the “pay at hotel” option when booking, the morning of our trip, I got a call demanding that we pay now or they will cancel the reservation, which is unheard of. They charge $25 dollars if you check in before 4pm. Service is so scarce that we had to go into the store room ourselves to get sheets, towels and cleaning supplies (we had to clean our own room). It’s sad because the place has potential and the few staff members were really nice and apologetic of the horrible management issues. We would have left that night, but we needed the two bedroom suite because we were traveling w kids. We made the best of it: but beware when booking this place. You’ll have to be your own staff. Shame on the new management/owners.

I thought my daughter would be able to swim for her 10th birthday because the website said there was a pool on site but when we arrived they said it wasn’t with no remorse !!! This hotel ruin my daughter 10th birthday

Says breakfast available which is not true
Says coffee maker in kitchen which is also not true

Room wasn’t fully clean but I was exhausted after my 10 hour drive so I dealt with it

I hate to leave negative reviews but I would have stayed in a more convenient part of town if I knew it was like this and definitely would not have paid this rate - should have been far less for having no available food on premises no vending no breakfast as mentioned
Also no hair dryer I know some of these things seem small but it’s false advertising and I wouldn’t have paid this much for a room that didn’t have the amenities it said it did ..

I did not like that the microwave in my unit did not work. The door into the build I was in was partially broken. One area of a wall in my unit was in bad condition. Another wall in my unit had some kind of marking on it. The couch was stained and dirty looking. The shower drainage was very poor. The microwave did not work. There was dinnerware but no utensils.
