Very basic but comfortable. Lots of dents in walls and fridge and couches need updating. Bathroom was good. Bed was comfortable. Got a bit loud in corridor after midnight then my door handle was turned with sonebody trying to get in. Remember to lock door when you get inside! Dodgy people in carpark, unsure if its emergency housing..

From the moment I entered M Central Apartments, the experience was unpleasant. There was a very bad smell when I arrived, and the lift was extremely dirty and smelled even worse.

When I opened the apartment door, the smell continued inside. The apartment itself did not feel clean, and there were visible stains, which was quite concerning.

Another big issue is that there is no air conditioning. During summer, it becomes unbearable to stay inside the apartment. On top of that, the location is directly in front of the station, so it is very noisy, especially at night.

I also did not feel comfortable with the environment or the people around the building — it felt unsafe and creepy at times.

Overall, this was a very uncomfortable stay, and I would not recommend M Central Apartments to anyone.

Absolutely Disgusting – Worst Stay of My Life

This place is beyond unacceptable. The room was filthy the moment we walked in. There was rubbish already in the bins, the entire room smelt like a toilet, and the sink was broken. The floors were stained, the kitchen was dirty, and the drawers were broken with no handles. Nothing was clean. Nothing was maintained.

The so-called air conditioning was a portable machine with a tube hanging out the window, and even that was broken. It was completely useless. This is not what you expect when paying for accommodation — it felt like walking into a neglected, unhygienic dump.

I could not let my children stay in that room. It was unsafe and disgusting. Because of this, I was forced to sleep in the car with my two kids for the night. No family should ever be put in that position.

Reception was absolutely no help. When I tried to explain the situation, they cut me off and hung up the phone. No apology. No assistance. No care at all. I ended up crying in the lobby with my two children because of how badly this was handled.

Every single thing about this place was bad. Cleanliness, maintenance, customer service — all of it failed. This was not just disappointing, it was distressing and humiliating.

Do yourself a favour and DO NOT stay here, especially if you have children. This was hands down the worst accommodation experience I have ever had.

The experience was a disaster, beginning with the central air conditioning not working and a portable one was a temporary fix which did not do its job, then at about 11pm we lost all power and most of our lights. In the morning I went down to the reception desk to call for assistance and found the three numbers that were on notices to call in an emergency had been disconnected. This situation left us sweltering through the night with no air conditioning, no fans, no power to our perishable that was in the fridge, no television and cold no charge our phones, on top of that your mattress was like sleeping on wire springs.
All in all a terrible evening that we paid for.

The rooms were not as described. The room had aircon vent going out from the window. The rooms were very tiny and not enough space to put my bags In.Toilet pan had stains and no one bothered to clean our room in pour 6 days stay there despite telling them
We needed our room vacuumed . They were meant to change our sheets nothing was done. I went to complain to the person at reception however the person there said he will check with the cleaners. There were cockroaches there in the room. Would never recommend it to anyone. Rate 1/10

The couch in the room was in very poor condition to the point where we just didn't use it. No AC apart from a noisy mobile unit but you had to leave the window open to use it. No city views only Manukau bus stop. I paid $12 a day for parking in the risky lot out back but every time I went to use it someone was in it. Overall I wouldn't stay again.

Room 505 the first room has a small window with a blind on it.I would suggest blacking out this window because the light on the outside turns off and on continously making it hard to get a good nights sleep.Otherwise very good services.

The person on reception was incredibly rude. He checked us in before we even said we are checking in - he was unhelpful and disrespectful. A lady who was sitting outside wasn’t allowed entry as she wasn’t aware of a bond due to not booking it - it was through a third party person (her work officer) therefore she was having to sleep on the street. I paid her bond so she has somewhere to stay. The guy was more worried about other stayers too. I’d never stay here again. It felt very unwelcoming and people parked in the wrong car spaces when we paid therefore couldn’t park - the only option was to get other peoples car spaces towed.

The people in the morning were helpful.

The rooms had some cockroaches as well. I do not recommend.

Range hood doesn’t work makes loud sound only, slow elements. No coffee table (other rooms the as ours same do) 5 switches on a wall, Only one worked. Aircon floor unit only so window constantly open equals loud planes all night.
For 4 people: 1 breakfast bowl, 3 forks, 2 drinking glasses, No tea towel. Said serviced apartments they just put new towels on dining table. The dishwasher looked like it had been in a train wreck.
We booked with friends for two nights, 3 dbl apartments. I booked a single apartment for the 3rd night based on a promise over the phone for a 4th carpark for the full 3 nights, paying $12.50 per night for carpark. I wouldn’t have booked the extra night if not. No language barrier, I asked several times and spelled it out. Arrived to be told no he didn’t tell me that, I am a lier and they don’t have a carpark for us. I just got lied to, spoke over, rudely treated ended up having to park 5 min walk away costing more. I got lied to again when given the managers phone number, wrong number! Then when given the right one he didn’t answer, the receptionist said he went home for the night, so why give me his number?! I phoned and txt, no answer. Then I go back past reception 10 mins later and who was there, the manager?! Lies after lies. we ended up cancelling the 3rd additional Night and stayed somewhere much better and safer. And mostly out of morals.
A lot of weird going’s on, people coming and going too. Won’t be booking here again.

The room furnishing and amenities was not to the standards for the price we paid. It felt cramp from the time we enter the room and right throughout the bedroom to the bathroom. The aircon equipment made a lot of noise, with the hose hanging out the window. There is no vent in the bathroom. The complete finishing of the entire room was not of great standards. The closet in one of the room had no rod to hang clothes especially with the length of stay we booked (5 nights). We only stayed the entire time because we will not eligible for refund. Location was great but the facility was not so welcoming and will not stay here in the future.

Room was definitely not ideal; dishwasher doesn't work, shower head holder isn't secured properly and came off after first shower. There was a weird red paint like stain across the carpet. Kitchen had zero frying pans and bathroom had zero soap - this one could've been me misreading what was provided but soap is an essential.

The room smells soon as you enter, it has that uncleanness smell from the carpet from the rooms to the living room, the couch was very smelly, went to the reception and complain, promise they will clean but nothing change instead they, bring towel everyday but the smell is syill there and they dont always do your room maybe just once my room was clean but the smell of the carpet and couch still there. Its a good location but owner needs to renovate or do a good clean up.

Could smell smoke seemed like people were smoking in the forgers, it had very strong smell.

The sliding doors in the bedrooms were very hard to open and the lock of the door was from outside 😳.

Shower door didn’t close properly when showering the water was all outside the shower on tiles.

Hope they get all looked at, otherwise it was ok near to our activities.

Amazing Views and Accomodating Staff

Good price point for a two bedroom apartment. We were on 10th floor so minimal noise. Location is so convenient with bus interchange and train station less than 3 minute walk. Room serviced everyday. Really enjoyed having wash machine in the room with laundry powder provided.
Staff were very friendly and helped us swap out worn out items such as iron, fry pan and oven tray. They even provided an air dryer for clothes when we asked.
Amazing views of Mount Eden and CBD Skyline.
Only let downs were the chairs and couch were a bit awkward to sit on. One bed had it so the wire and coils could be felt.
Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

There was some damage in property to dishwasher ect this had a big footprint in the bottom.

The room was equipped with a portable heater/AC unit but due to no window kit setup this caused for cold air to circulate back into the room causing the living room space to be very cold. The windows did not fully close either so a draft could be felt in evenings and mornings rooms was very cold.

Bathroom had what was needed.
Washer dryer combo didn't work very well causing a dry process alot longer then it should have.

Clearers attended daily sometimes made bed other times didn't, replaced towels.

The kitchen was basic but usable for breakfast ect.

The apartment was very very poorly supplied with cooking utensils causing cooking to be difficult if at all was an option to cook a meal.

Easy enough to get around from close to Manukau and across from bus station

Dont be fooled by the photos! Its run down and walls need cleaning! Not welcoming at all. As a heads up for everyone, if you want to check in before your check-in time, $20 an hour will be charged. Parking 12.50 a night and a $100 bond, all not mentioned when booking! Lesson learned, will NOT be back!

The beds were hard, the bedrooms too small with no side tables or drawers, no coat hangers. Nowhere to put suitcases. Had a problem with parking. Someone was in our allocated parking space so we were told to park in the next one and the caretaker said he would notify the occupant of the next one to park in another spot. Her obviously didn't tell them as they banged on our door at 11pm, when we were sleeping, asking that we move our car (after the caretaker gave them our room number). Easy check in, good location near shopping mall. Very clean.

The reception was good welcoming and helpful. However there was a woman on her phone arguing loudly which didn’t give a good first impression. This was in no way the fault of the establishment but maybe she could have been asked to go somewhere else to complete her phone argument. Lol
We got up to our room at 2:15pm and the room was still not prepared. We didn’t have to wait too long so it wasn’t that bad.
The room was spacious. We had the 4 bedroom apartment. The 2 bathrooms was really good to accomodate 5 of us.
It was warm and comfy and clean. It surprised me how quiet it was.
Extra bonus for the vicinity Westfield Mall Manukau a 5 minute walk away.

Dislikes bathroom fan not working.
No vacuuming done for 8 days.
No central Air-conditioning, portable one having so much problem to heat the apartment.
Bathroom not clean for 8 days, each time we came back to the apartment for the day, bathroom was everything was same as we left, only rubbish emptied and new towels left.
Not worth the money we paid for.
If the charges are so high provide the service high as well.

I didn't have high expectations, but it didn't even meet those.
No heating or blankets supplied. Shower flooded for no reason. Room hasn't been well maintained at all.
We were meeting family at the same hotel, we were all on the 10th floor. It seems we were lucky compared to them. They room had a broken window, resulting in they room's mattress being soaked with rain. They alerted reception repeatedly and still nothing done even after they 7 day stay.
The management/ owner just doesn't care by the seems of it.

Not even a star. The person at the reception was very arrogant with attitude. Charged for outside car parking which is not even safe. It’s an emergency house when there is any dispute among family they keep in this apartment. There was a dehumidifier with a window open for the ventilation which makes lot of noise which had turn it off but the room became soo cold. There was lot of fighting where the car parking also told by local that how many times police had shown up and arrested people from there. Room had a very unpleasant smell will not recommend as we checked in another hotel they also said how many guest had same issues from this property.

The photo of the double room on your ad is not the same that we got. The ad showed a living area with full window with a view of the surroundings, we got a small high window as if we're living in a basement. The furniture was not the same either.
The bathroom was nice and clean and we appreciated that.
Reception was ok, darkly lit and felt like a courier lobby. Receptionist's matter of fact attitude relayed MCentrals indifference to their guests. I would like to think we were the exception but the guests infront of us left unsatisfied after an animated discussion with the receptionist.
Our location is the best in Manukau CBD. Safe and secure parking. Has so much potential in terms of customer service and a minor things to improve on.

Property area was convenient to Manukau Westfield, Rainbows End etc. The reception host was lovely and had everything ready on our arrival. The room was like a university hostel with a kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom was tidy and clean, however, the beds were not maintained very well. There were blood stains on the underlay of the sheet which was clearly seen and because we were so incredibly exhausted from our trip, we ended up sleeping on top of the bed without any blankets. Pillows were very well used, luckily we had our own pillows. The kitchen was missing a lot of utensils, the fridge shelf was cracked, dents all over the fridge, dents in the walls throughout. The aircon was a huge washing machine looking thing with a large vent hanging outside the window, the noise from this was incredibly loud. The following day we hoped it would be cleaner, tidier after we got back but the beds were still the same so we booked into another motel. I'm pretty sure the beds had bed bugs as well because I itched really bad after sleeping on it. We tried to contact the host of our dissatisfaction but they were conveniently unreachable.

Myself and my partner booked 1 night for us both and it was top tier almost like paying for high quality hotel in auckland city we had 2 double sized room with a single bed in the lounge area, the room provided everything from utilities , washing machine iron full kitchen with all kitchenware clean linen and bedding . Was absolutley outstanding and right in the heart of manukau city i look forward to my next stay as the view just topped the icing on the cake

Property was very well used and in need of some TLC, bedrooms were very small, the bathroom was ok, and the living area was good.
A few cracked floor tiles in the bathroom and 1in the living area.
Price reflects the accommodation and if you expect the Ritz, you'll be disappointed.

They checked my reservation and then directed me to the back parking lot where a parking space was assigned to us for extra $. There were 3 of us, but not enough spoons and no bowls to use. Waste of money! Never again!

Worst accommodation I’ve stayed at (7th floor), rooms are very different from the images they portray on the app. Major downfall is no air conditioning, rooms are super hot and very small, hard to sleep at night with heat, window openings are minimal, the warehouse branded fans were broken, shower was faulty and didn’t stay upright, shower door wouldn’t close properly and banged against toilet bowl (Minimal room), cracks in the floor tiles. Basically a very run down subpar property with minimal maintenance done. For the cost you expect reasonable amenities, not broken, run down, budget amenities. Highly recommend paying a little extra for simple comfort! I wouldn’t even dare to look back twice! Only upside is the location is A+, but this hotel Z-! Do better.

Photos are nothing like the property. Extremely hot and the “air conditioning” unit they provide doesn’t have an outlet so the hot air it blows out just fills the room with heat instead of cold air. No dish sponge and even though the property says the rooms have desks none of them do. All shelves in the fridge were practically broken and some of the handles on the cupboards are falling off.

Convenient place to stay near the airport.

Very convenient place to stay on arrival at Auckland Airport. Spotless apartment. Kitchen equipment adequate for simple food preparation. Maintenance was an issue: The shower rail was broken and the hose leaked so that water pressure in shower was not adequate. Carpet strips not fastened down properly - a trip hazard.

Good for the price and location. Worn down with blotches on the couch/walls. No A/C and only one fan but luckily neither needed.

No one at reception when we arrived and was locked. Rang the number and left a message. Manager arrived 10 mins later so didn’t have to wait too long. When we went inside the room there were a few maintenance issues. Hole in the wall, red spray paint on the carpet and broken window blind leaned against the window.

Appropriate accommodation for a night before flying in or out of Auckland at budget rates. Great beds and good cleanliness and shower facilities. Could have done with some black out blinds on the large windows and rather warm without air conditioning.

Shower head is broken and its conditions is a major OHS noncompliance issue. The drainage is so bad that the cover is never attached, rather floating all the time when used. Vaccumming needs to be everyday instead.

Very good location. Clean and bright rooms. Got a great sleep! Bathroom was great! Good shower pressure. Quick lifts!
