Some of the gym equipment was not working, and the shower curtain was dirty. We also had to go down to reception to ask for dishwashing liquid because there was none in the cabinet.
The reception staff member who served us was okay, but the lady behind the counter was very rude. Her attitude was unnecessary and it ruined my happy and peaceful mood at that moment. She kept arguing with me about the drink voucher. She said I only had one voucher, which meant one drink. However, I explained to her that although it was one voucher, it had the number 2 on it, which meant two drinks. The reception staff had also told us that the voucher allowed one drink each. I even told her I could go back and get the reception staff to confirm it. In the end, she gave up and asked what drinks I wanted. At that point, I was extremely frustrated and felt like telling her that if she doesn’t want to serve people or do her job, she should find another job.

Rooms are very small but temperature was fine, we were able to control the A/C. Bed was comfortable . There is no ice available in the room or anywhere on the floor. You need to go into the restaurant on the ground floor where they only give you a glass full and not a bucket to take to your room. Soap products in bathroom seem very cheap but the water pressure was very good and water gets hot!

Just don’t. Maybe a 2 star on a good day. Staff was unhelpful and sometimes rude. Arrived at the restaurant at 8:29 looking for a pizza. They were premade, sitting in the display case. “Kitchen closes at 8:30 and it takes 10 minutes to cook”. Restaurant hours are 9m…. Room was supposed to be “deluxe “ and paid extra for it. Tiny and dingy. At the “free” breakfast coffee is $8. The food looked nasty and tasty nasty, what little there was. . Wife resorted to corn flakes.

Comfortable bed, good shower, friendly and helpful staff - that's the end of the good. I started off in a room on the first floor, but after I had seen four small cockroaches in the bathroom and kitchen on the first evening, I asked to move to a different suite, where I fortunately did not experience any further insect problems. This hotel has an odd design with support struts on the inside of the building - I had one in the bedroom of my new suite, which restricted access on one side of the bed, and so I did not want to sleep on that side - unfortunately that was also the only side with a light switch (and there are no bedside lights in the rooms), so I ended up having to get in and out of bed in the dark, which was not ideal. Good value, but I would not stay here again!

Staff was supportive however when we checked in it was very cosy and small room. I want to say worst than standard room what other 4 stars hotels offer. Also worst breakfast experience. We didnt end up having breakfast for 4 days of my stay. We couldn't even get compensated for that offered anything else. Please let us know which morning continental breakfast doesnt offer any short of coffee. All coffee is cahrgable at cafe and it was expensive. I wouldn't recommend this hotel stay for family.

The room was very clean. It is near many things for families to do - water park, amusement park, shopping, etc. It was about a $47 NZ uber ride to downtown for 4 of us. We had a top floor suite with 2 separate rooms. They didn't have 24 hour desk service, but I found the check in process to be easy even though we didn't check in until about 2 a.m. due to flight issues. The next day they accomodated us with a late check out of noon and allowed us to store luggage until our flight out later in the day.

Compared to all other receptions in New Zealand, Ramada has worst reception. Not welcoming at all. Will never book again. They claim King Bed in all room but we had only Queen bed. How i know,? I am 183cm. So i know exactly which one is king bed.

My friend and I requested a room to be earlier and pay the extra cost, due to our flight being early from a flight cancellation and rescheduling (18+ hours and no sleep), we were extremely tired (arrived at the hotel at 8 AM, checking in time was at 2 PM). The Lady took our info and said she would prioritise us. We ended up trying to sleep in our car in the parking lot which was not the best, and the lady never called. My friend used the bathroom once around 11 AM and she let her in but didn’t have a room for us. Then, at 2 PM, our room was set up wrong. we requested two twin beds not the queen (even asked a few times), so check in took an extra hour. This is very frustrating when all you want to do is just pass out. I’m now concerned my check out request didn’t get submitted when we left at 10 AM because I received this “complete your checkout” message from the hotel. I give two stars because the other staff were great, but this was an awful experience considering we just needed a place to sleep and they clearly couldn’t help us rest a bit earlier or even on time (and yes we would have paid for it).
As a side note, not so much a complaint, the gym treadmill and bike don’t work.
