A wee bit of confusion about what room I had booked when I arrived, but that was quickly sorted out.
AC was quick and very welcome in the humidity, Beds were comfortable, and the in-room Spa Bath was fantastic! However, there was no fan in the bathroom to help steam escape, so the bathroom window (which went out to the main landing) needed to be open… the lack of security stays on this window did leave me slightly concerned for my privacy while in the bathroom.
Location was handy to places I needed to go, and was easily the best value for a room with a Spa in Auckland!

The room had limited cooking facilities, and the two-element hob didn't work properly. The unit I was put in faced a main arterial road, so traffic noise was an issue. The staff requested my credit card details at check in even though I booked online with my credit card and the expense was deducted when I booked even though other motels only deduct the expense when you check in. The bed was comfortable and the until had full SKY available. Only the windows in the bathroom and toilet could be opened so ventilation was an issue.

The room was great, big, clean, nice beds and linen. Service friendly and pleasant.
I had the room closest to the road, loved the room but dear lord the noise 😖
The planes I get, it’s near the airport so all good but somewhere close by was a nightclub and the non stop boom boom boom from the bass until about 3:30am made it impossible to sleep…maybe that’s not normal?
Add to that the regular boy racers blasting their music as they speed down the road and sleep was never going to happen.
It’s a shame, it’s a well kept and run motel, I’d go back but would take earplugs or noise canceling headphones!

Our room looked like it had just been refurbished. We had the executive studio with a King bed. The room was very comfortable, very modern and had everything we needed. I loved the beautiful gardens and patio outside area, the grounds and motel are being well looked after. Great hosts! Would definately stay again.

First of all they don't have any staff, so no customer service and the guy he is so rude, room was not cleaned as I stay with my family and a baby. We were bitten by the flees and the room has cockroaches and other insects too. When I gave them feedback about the room, they both were so rude with us.

I would not recommend this motel to anyone.

The windows had no fly screens so we had to deal with flys coming through open windows. Cobwebs on the kitchen curtains. No fan in the bathroom or toilet so open windows were essential. Not an area I would choose to stay even though I didn’t feel unsafe. The building was old and needed refreshing, draft proofing and definitely fly screens and fans. The host was pleasant and helpful and made every effort to be helpful. The main supermarket was a good kilometre walk away and decent cafe and dining options were very limited. On a four lane highway!

I felt the hosts didn't welcome their guests and my first impression was this man yelling at me with an angry face saying \"Close the door I have cats\" I didn't hear him properly because I am hearing impaired and wear hearing aids. That was my welcome to this Motel and I was extremely polite. His mannerisms were inexcusable. Also I felt for the price I paid for one the night that the shower was hard to use and the toilet was dirty when I entered the unit with toilet paper still in the toilet and brown stains. I wished the stay could of be pleasant as I was attending a family reunion and I felt upset at this behaviour towards me. I did bring it up upon checkup as I felt this establishment does not give respect to the people staying here.

The room was good and spacious, with an excellent modern bathroom. I also liked having a door between the kitchen and bedroom/lounge area. It made it a little more private.

Just some suggestions:
- a luggage rack would be helpful.
- the portable plug in elements were rusty so not usable. They really do need to replace it.
- a hook or rail to hang the tea towel on would be good. However, not many apartments/motels have these.

Overall, I had a really great stay.

We started our trip a lot later than planned, only stopping once for petrol and toilet break, yet still weren't going to get to motel before the office closed. After contacting the owner, he agreed to wait for us to arrive with no additional charge.
for the late check-in.
Btw, the office hours shown on line are incorrect. It closes at 9 PM not 9 AM 🤔.

The beds were among the most comfortable we have slept in.

When went to check in note on door saying back in 30 minutes but not when from. No toaster in room. Couldn’t work microwave. Paint flaking. In need of modernisation from the 80’s . Shower over corner spa bath so harder to access for older people. Bed comfortable. Sky channel selection good.

Pros. Beds were clean. Room was somewhat clean. Outdoor area was nice.

Cons. Dirty towels and hair all over floor. Specifically booked the bath room - room had no bath. Complained to reception about above guests stomping upstairs after hours (continued stomping the entire time).
Dirty cooking utensils.
Stained seating in room. Very hard beds. Old amd unkept.

No warning of fire alarm testing. That would have been nice to know at check in. Our ears rang for the entire day.

Overall stay could have been better. With a few adjustments here and there, this place would be lovley.

Lost n Not Found!

I left a water bottle and an expensive angora wrap, which I’d bought in Niagara Falls, behind and didn’t discover it until I returned home two days later. Rung the motel and was told that they hadn’t been handed in. I checked everywhere else that I’d been with no luck so I can only conclude that the cleaners at the motel are not very honest about that sort of stuff. I’ve left stuff behind before and was always able to arrange its return so I’m really disappointed with the service.

I double paid and I am still waiting for my refund, the Asian man said I didn’t pay but I had in fact paid online at time of my booking prior to staying. The English man was very nice to talk to and he said he will process my refund, thank you for your kind service and hospitality, you are an asset to the business, without you, I would be in an argument with the Asian man as he did not understand that I said I paid.

A trip back in time to 80s retro style, not much has been updated. Bed clean and comfortable, and although everything very 'tired', it seemed clean enough and did not smell. Wifi good. Don't be fooled by the nice photo used for advertising taken at the front! A 2.5 - 3 star old fashioned NZ motel.

The rooms were very disappointing and not value for money. There was poor ventilation in the bathroom area, no extractor fans. Very unsuitable bedding, pillows of a poor standard and uncomfortable bed. We found areas of the room that had not been vacuumed and sweets had been eaten during the service clean while we were out for the day. As we had 2 units, 1 unit was less than appropriately cleaned with rubbish still on the floor. While the hosts were very friendly and accommodating, our overall stay was less than satisfactory. We would not stay there again

The studio kitchen had no toaster, and little to no cooking containers for the microwave. Although clean, the bathroom looked like it had been painted over peeling paint. The shower was over a large spa..very hard to get into for older people.We would not stay there again.

I've stayed here many times, I keep coming back because Michael and David give a good friendly service and will always go the extra mile to make your stay a good one. Plus they have 50 Sky channels so it's home away from home. Only downside is that if you are really tall some of the showers will give you cramped knees. Luckily I'm short!

Service and accommodations were great. We really appreciated all the wonderful service. The only thing that we could recommend is that they install a chain lock on the door at least. The only lock for the door was key door handle lock.

The overall motel was fine it met with our requirements for our stay. The downside that the vehicle parks were very narrow which made it very difficult for bigger vehicles to park. Guest Laundry was advertised as available from 8:00am to 8:00pm, this was not the case. One instance when the Manager/Owner asked to use Laundry, was told it wouldn't be available until after 3:00pm on the other occassion at 9:00am asked when the Laundry would be open was told that they were busy using the Laundry and it wasn't available and to go across the road to a public laundry. One other guest was also told this. If they advertise a Guest Laundry and hours it should be available during this time - the Laundry facility was a reason we booked this motel
