So disappointed not to have a wardrobe in my room - not even a few hooks on the wall to hang my suits / shirts .
When I enquired about it at reception, I was told that ‘ my room rate does not include a wardrobe’. I travel the world on business for over 30 years and have never encountered this before . My freshly pressed shirt I took from the suitcase this morning, looked as if I slept in it .
I did not air my grievance with the receptionist as it wasn’t her fault but Management should know better . I would definitely not stay again .

Was very excited for my stay and was disappointed- the staff were nice and helpful however the cleanliness and conditions were not up to par. Stains on the couch so i was not able to use it, chips on the wood table, makeup smeared on the phone, stains on the bed sheets and mattresses. Just gave an icky feeling overall. Be aware that the tablet used to order room service is not up to date and now has a completely different menu -you make it easier on staff to order directly from the restaurant. Again beautiful room and great people just need to update cleaning standards for the amount you pay for certain rooms i shouldnt run my finger and have it covered in dust. Nice restaurants nearby and metro stop in walking distance.

We booked one night at the patio suite to celebrate our anniversary, and we find the experience rather underwhelming. This design hotel could have had many ways to stand out but just misses quite some points. The room is smaller than the pictures shown, air-conditioning doesn’t work at all, patio area is huge but needs a bit of cleaning, shower heads are chalky…
We didnt try the bar or the restaurant as it doesn’t seem to justify the high pricing given the hotel experience we had.

I wish I could rate it 1 star .

This hotel does not have AC on 5m2 square rooms as advertised. Called multiple times and they told us to open the room as there is no AC in the building during the winter time . It’s spring , 17 degrees outside on a room tinier than a closet . You can’t sleep in the room This is above insanity . Not even a tiny desk on the room or a closet where to hang a shirt .Oh, did I mention a naked man knocking at my door at 7 am for about 1 hour and reception that took about 90 minutes to answer? Also Swears they aren’t affiliate with Marriot.

Just spent a week at this property . Was fantastic venue . Great dining and drinks. Staff was absolutely perfect. Especially Victoria at the front desk . She was a great piece for helping and advice for our stay in Berlin. Flow, the bartender took care of us also every evening we decided to have drinks and relax . Room was nicely designed/deco was fun. On the small side though with only just enough room to get down either side of the bed...bed was very comfy though. Couldn't get the bedside Marshall speaker to connect via Bluetooth with was a shame, but the Provocateur switch is fun, just a shame I could find a way to turn the music up! Was worried having read previous reviews that the room may be noisy from the bar below, but happy to report no noise was heard.

Ok place. It looks like a bordello but I was comfortable, the room was nice and clean, and I’m grateful it was blue velvet instead of the red. One every strange thing is that I wasn’t allowed to read the newspaper on my iPad in the bar after 6. I was eating dinner. No one was there…ended up in an argument. Also, the bedrooms tend to be…easy to lose things.

Fantastic room with comfortable bed, a soaking tub, wonderful shower, enough power outlets and very romantic bedside lighting. Great location near U-bahn and steps from glamorous Kurfurstendamm. Fantastic breakfast served in the morning and a charming old world lift. Wonderful liquid hand soap near sink.

Pillows could have been more substantial, very late night guests checking in could have been told to keep it a little quiet!

The good:

The design is fun, the front desk staff were very helpful, and the room designs are solid overall.

The bad:

The staff who works the restaurant/bar were annoying and pushy and this negatively tainted our entire stay at the hotel. We just wanted to sit at the bar and grab a quick drink to kick off our first night, the place was empty, we walked in and were about to sit down when these pushy gatekeeper women came over and said that we \"needed to check in\", ok fine, so we said \"can we sit at the bar\" and they said \"sure anywhere you like\". We went to the bar and grabbed two seats and then a few mins later they came over and said \"can I have you move\". What? Why? What's wrong with these empty seats? We reluctantly moved and then proceeded to have a lousy night. It killed the mood and at that point, we didn't even want to stay.

The rooms are noisy. We heard toilets flushing and sewer water running past our room every 15 mins or so. The bass from the music downstairs didn't stop until 3:30am each night. We were on the 3rd floor and there was nothing we could do to drown it out.

The location is pretty dull overall. I think if you're in that location, you're there to experience the hotel itself and with the lousy restaurant experience, we were forced to venture out on our remaining nights. The hotel was just a place to sleep...poorly.

Love the styling of this hotel. It’s very glamorous & luxurious. Lots of red velvet & black & gold furniture. Has a beautiful old lift too.
The area is nice and there is an underground station almost outside so you can get anywhere in Berlin easily.
The staff are efficient and very friendly & helpful.
Breakfast is served in the stunning restaurant and is a la cartel which makes for a much more relaxed breakfast than a buffet. Food is cooked to order and was delicious.
This was our second stay at this hotel and we are planning a third visit.
This hotel is perfect for a romantic weekend away.

This hotel was not in the centre of town as we had expected and we had to get 2 trains to the centre. DO NOT stay in this hotel over a weekend if you want peaceful sleep, particularly on the lower floors, as there is a VERY LOUD disco in the bar which goes on until 3am! We had to ask to be moved to the top floor. Suggest this hotel is not suitable for children. There was no wardrobe, just a pole sticking out of the wall with 5 coat hangers, obviously stuff fell off. The rooms we were in (category 3) were VERY SMALL. There are 8 categories so presumably the larger ones shown on the pictures are the higher categories, which we were unaware of. Positives - rooms were beautifully furnished & staff were very pleasant.

Good standard of accommodation, the staff were helpful and our room was comfortable.
We didn’t know there was a love theme to this hotel so that was a bit of a surprise!
The food and drink are rather expensive so we tended to eat out.
Good location as it is close to the U bahn.

While checking in,(on 10th June) the lady at the reception informed us that they need to charge us the amount of 50 euros per person per night as a guarantie for any consumption from the room minibar; so I gave them his card and the lady charged me the amount of 300 euros. In the next minute, she told me that she had to \"pass\" my card again as she couldn't see the charge in the first place and so she \"passed' my card again.As a result she finally BY HER MISTAKE, charged me the total amount of 600 euros!!!! as it appeared according to the alert that I received from my bank. When I told her what she has done, she comfirmed and informed me that she will release the money of the double charge; however she imformed us that she couldn't contact the bank call center since it was Sunday (!!!) and that they would take care of it \"first thing on next morning\" (monday).
On the 13th June, we checked out and there was no consumption. so the total amount of 600euros should have been released anyway.
To make long story short, up to now (15th June), the money (600euros!!!) have not yet been released despite the fact that we have checked out since the 13th June (!!!) and despite all our relevant complaints during our stay and despite that we have even talked in person with the hotel manager, who promised to take care of it!!!! Every time we reminded the hotel about the problem, as we needed the money -charged by mistake-released, the hotel's answer was that they couldn't contact the bank!

Amazing stay, unfortunate experience after

Everything about this hotel was amazing. Room was clean, comfy and the \"Provocateur Mode\" was so cool. The bar staff were incredible and we ended up going there every night.
The only thing that ruins the experience for me a bit is the fact my card was charged by accident (although I eventually had the payment refunded) and the fact I never received my security deposit back which now means I have to do the last resort and lodge a transaction dispute with my bank. My stay was back in April so there's been enough time to get it back by now. Overall though a great stay :)

Was really impressed from the moment we walked in. We had booked to stay there for our mini moon and called ahead to let them know. When we arrived at the hotel they offered a glass of bubbly in celebration and when walking up to the room they had decorated it with flower petals. They also offered a complimentary bottle of champagne. All of it very nice touches and made the start to our marriage special. Throughout the stay they were accommodating and helpful, letting us know the best places to visit in Berlin.

We used the bar one night and I have to say, we were served by the best bartender I’ve ever come across.

It was great to have nespresso in the room and if you wanted milk you just call reception and they bring it up.

It was right next to an underground stop making it 10 minutes to central location. Also a 1/2 hour walk along the main shopping street of West Berlin is 5 minutes away.

Would stay there again and thank you so much for the stay Provacatuer.

My room was quite small — once a large suitcase was opened on the floor, there was barely space for anything else. The bathroom was fine with a good shower, and the bed and bedding were comfortable with a double duvet.

Es sah spannend aus auf den Fotos bei Hotels.com, und wahrscheinlich war es vor 20 Jahren auch schön und spannend.
Aber leider wurde ich enttäuscht, ich bin öfter in Berlin, wir werden uns sicherlich nicht wieder sehen!
Kleines verschlissenes Zimmer, gänzlich ohne Sitzgelegenheit, vermutlich alter Kaugummi auf dem Kopfkissenbezug, Deckenlampe kaputt, keine Kofferablage, Bad schmutzig und vergammelt, Fön völlig verdreckt/verklebt, Handbrause ging überhaupt nicht, ich (190cm.) konnte kaum unter der dusche stehen.
Das ganze Haus ist auch in einem schlechten Zustand, befleckte Sitze, notdürftig reparierte Wände, usw. Am ersten Tag war auch noch einen deutlichen Klo-Geruch im Haus.
ABER....das Frühstück war sehr lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam!

Die Mitarbeiter und der Service sind 1A. Lisa und Frieda haben mich zu Beginn sehr herzlich empfangen. Hier herrscht nicht die kalte Kettenhotel Art. Das Hotel hat natürlich ein Konzept, welches sehr gut durchdacht ist und sich in vielen Details widerspiegelt. Drinks und essen sind dort auch hervorragend! Frühstück a la Cart.
Man muss das Hotel garnicht verlassen.

Great hotel with a very welcoming staff. The rooms are… inspiring. Do not forget to go the hotel bar, it’s a must. The only downside is that the neighborhood is a residential area (noting to do or see around) and it’s far from downtown… so unfortunately a bit unpractical.

Das Hotel und die Zimmer haben ein außergewöhliches 20er-Jahreflair. Besonders schön ist der alte Aufzug. Die Preise in der der Hotelbar halte ich zwischenzeitlich für leicht überteuert und die Spache ist dort nun auch Englisch.
Das Personal ist sowohl am Empfang, als auch in der Bar sehr freundlich. Wir können das Hotel für ein romantisches Pärchenwochenende nur weiterempfehlen

Generell sehr interessante Unterkunft.
Allerdings extrem hellhörig, wodurch man Gestöhne durchgängig in der Nacht hört. Und die eigene Bar ist extrem laut am Freitag gewesen.

Ich denke für das entsprechende Publikum (Partypeople) das Richtige. Für jemanden der einfach schlafen möchte am Wochenende abzuraten.

Wonderful hotel and LGBT friendly

Absolutely wonderful stay, the hotel is beautiful and the service was great. As a gay couple we felt very welcome. The room was clean and well equipped, great mini bar, spacious bathroom.
The bar is lively and apparently popular, highly recommended to try it out.
I will most certainly stay here again.

Originelles Designhotel mit exzellenter Bar

Bildhübsch und stimmig gestaltetes Designhotel im Burlesque Stil / Art Deco Stil mit liebevoll individuell ausgestatteten, komfortablen Zimmern mit Samt, Kronleuchtern, Beamershow etc. Exzellente, stilgerecht ausgestattete Bar und Restaurant, sehr angenehmes, unkonventionelles Ambiente. Alle unsere Sonderwünsche wurden berücksichtigt. Nur der starke Geruch nach Airfreshenern im gesamten Treppenhaus und dem Rezeptionsbereich störte uns etwas. Zum Glück nicht in der Bar und im Zimmer.

Great stay, highly recommended

We had a fantastic stay at the Provocateur, staff was super nice and the room was beautiful and very comfortable. We recommend this hotel. The bar is great and apparently very popular.

Super lækkert hotel og cool værelse, top morgenmad og baren har alt. Bedre kæreste weekend fås ikke.

Das Hotel ist eigentlich toll, wenn man es denn auch pflegen würde. Negative war zum Beispiel der defekte TV, die nicht sehr saubere Dusche, die Wände wo die Farbe abbröckelt, langsames und teilweise unfreundliches Personal an der Bar obwohl man ja Hotelgast ist. Das waren nur ein paar Punkte die negativ waren. Wie gesagt die Idee des Hotels ist cool und es gibt viele Kleinigkeiten die das Hotel besonders machen.

God atmosfære

Et spændende Berliner hotel med god atmosfære både generelt, i baren og i morgen restauranten. Fantastisk morgenmad. Meget venlig personale overalt. Hotellet ligger 50 meter fra U-Bahn og 5 min fra Kurfürstendamm, så Berlin Mitte og Kreuzberg er indenfor 20 min.
