The Hotel was located in a great spot. Walkable to beach and the down town Sayulita. Covered garage parking that locks down at 10pm. If you come back from driving after 10pm they will open the garage for you. This is a very rare find in Sayulita. The staff was very friendly.

Our stay at Casa Lotería in Sayulita was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were completely captivated by the beauty of the hotel. Every detail feels thoughtfully designed — colorful, vibrant, and full of charm — perfectly capturing the spirit of Sayulita while still offering a peaceful and relaxing escape.

The breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious and something we looked forward to every day. It was the perfect way to start our mornings before heading out to explore. And the location truly couldn’t have been better — close to everything, just steps from the beach, shops, and amazing restaurants, yet still peaceful and relaxing.

The staff was so warm, welcoming, and attentive. Their genuine hospitality made our stay even more memorable.

This trip was even more meaningful because we got engaged during our time there, and Casa Lotería will forever hold a special place in our hearts because of it. Celebrating such an important moment in such a beautiful setting made it all the more special.

We are already dreaming about our next visit and can’t wait to return to Casa Lotería. It will always be a place filled with the most wonderful memories for us. 💛

Wonderful stay! Very clean, ample space in suites, great staff, tasty breakfasts, quiet a/c, refreshing pool, kiddy pool and hot tub. Yoga! A filtered drinking water tap. Lovely and quiet although being very close to the beach and bustling town centre. I would 100% recommend as well as stay there again. Great for families or couples.

The staff were generally helpful and it's a really charming spot in Sayulita. The hotel was near everything and we got the free breakfast add-on which was very worth it!

There were a couple of things that were less than satisfactory:
- The shower consistently didnt have hot water
- If you get back later in the night (after midnight) the front desk is unattended for a while and you have to wait for someone
- one of the air-conditioning units did not work

But they were all pretty minor things for us ! So overall we had a fantastic stay :)

When we come back to Sayulita, we'll definitely be staying here again. The villa feel is amazing! They offer free yoga which is a plus! The lication also can't be beat. It's not even a block from the ocean, and a 2 min walk to all the downtown restaurants. This place is perfection!

This property is really lovely, it’s in a questionable area of town but once inside you can appreciate the beautiful rooms, the pool area and the decor. Lots of tropical plants and the staff were wonderful. There is a soccer field right across the street and nights were very noisy til quite late.
The bar and food at poolside was a plus. I stayed with many family members and we had 10 grandchildren enjoying the pool at times. It was down season so they had the pool almost exclusively to themselves and had such a fun time here. Quick walk to the beach and they have golf carts to rent to explore the town.
I had a two room suite with kitchen, bathroom and a little terrace right next to the pool. Comfortable and clean.

Check in was nice and easy.
Breakfast (which you have to buy separately) it’s good but options are limited, something to keep in mind if looking for a wide variety.
Rooms are not sound proof and we stayed in the first floor with access to the pool but you can literally hear people talking.

We stayed as a family of five at Casa Lotería in August of 2025. It was WONDERFUL for us! We ate breakfast everyday at the cozy restaurant by the pool, then chips and guac for lunch. Alan and Jonathan ended up feeling like family. Our boys, ages 15, 14, and 9, were in the pool a good amount of time (as were we). The staff was incredible. There is parking on-site. Rooms were clean, cozy, w nice, cold AC. We would recommend this little hotel to couples, singles, families. We are a bit homesick for Casa Lotería in Sayulita, and we WILL be back.

Un excelente lugar para descansar y pasar unos días, el hotel es pequeño pero agradable, nos encantó que el cuarto tuviera dos pisos con dos cuartos, dos baños y además cocina, comedor, sala y balcón.

El personal siempre muy amable y atento en todo momento. La alberca siempre tranquila y la limpiaban diario por las mañanas.

El servicio de desayunos muy bien y rico, quizá le falta algo más de variedad pero la verdad siempre desayunamos bien. El horario de comidas me pareció un poco corto (hasta las 4:00 pm), tenía un mini bar cerca de la alberca, pero me parece que también tenía el mismo horario.

The property was acceptable. Room cleanliness was fine. When we were there, what seemed to be a large extended family arrived on a bus. There was constant yelling, smoking, drinking, and some vomit. I'm glad they enjoyed themselves, but I wasn't making use of the pool with all of that going on. If I had been in the mood, maybe I could have crashed their party and had a good time. I've never heard so much whooping in a pool.

My room was broken into on my second week with my wife after being out at night for a few hours. They stole a baseball hat, my cologne and all the pesos my wife had in her purse. Conveniently the manager did not share the video footage with us after he reviewed it personally. We were forced to call the police, and were offered no assistance or compensation from the staff. The maid we were assigned doesn’t clean unless asked is dressed like a lady and acts sketchy when approached.
The wifi is poor quality, next door is under construction so it’s very noisy early in the morning. You can hear kids crying and screaming throughout the stay. Expedia charged me for breakfast and all I was offered for this cost was coffee. There are many nicer places than this, I would not recommend this spot to anyone you care about. Very badly in need of renovations as well, seedy business. Stay somewhere else better options throughout the beautiful little town

This was a great place for my family holiday. We had 3 rooms altogether and the hotel was accommodating with having rooms next to each other. My kids LOVED the pool and we spent more of our time there than at the beach (which was a five minute walk).

The place was really clean and the restaurant was good, though only open for breakfast and lunch. The hotel is near lots of restaurants and pharmacies etc.

I really enjoyed going up to the roof to do yoga with the friendliest and multilingual instructor.

I would definitely recommend Casa Lotería to friends and family and I’d stay there again in the future for sure.

Were do i start, the pool was very dirty and not well maintained. Check in starts at 3pm arrived like at 3:30pm and went in the pool around 5pm. The pool was very dirty when i offered to clean myself with tools, was told maintainence was closed and there was nobody to clean or hand me a tool. By the way the pool closes at 9pm and maintainence is gone by 4. The jacuzzi was not functioning. When i asked if its not working or its off, they said its off and dont know how to turn on. Supposedly only maintainence knows how to turn on and they were gone. They should then close the pool at 4 when maintainence leaves, since apparently no one in the hotel knows how to turn on a jacuzzi. In the morning they only offer free coffee, which by the way you have to drink it black, because there is no milk or creamer. I booked 3 rooms for 12 people, and was charged 200 pesos extra because i had an extra 3 year old in my party. Were apparently there was enought room for my toddler to sleep in my king size bed, which they assign king beds for only 2 people. The service is mid, but theyre too many rules and the service is not up to par.

We had a wonderful stay! The staff was friendly & responsive. We loved the pool, as well as the poolside restaurant. Our one bedroom suite was very convenient for our family of three. Loved having a kitchenette with (fridge, stove & microwave), plenty of space & quick access to the pool. It was an easy walk to town/restaurants/stores. We visited during the low season, so the hotel was quiet. But even then, I didn’t hear noise from the street or town.

Casa Loteria has several things going for it! We loved the pool, especially the kids pool. The breakfasts were wonderful and the staff, in general, were very friendly, attentive, and helpful. The location is great as you're close to everything. Free yoga class was wonderful on the rooftop.

However, I cannot recommend this hotel and the next time I go to Sayulita, I will be staying elsewhere. From the moment we arrived, we had problems. There were blood stained sheets on one of the beds, our safes were closed and not operable for a night until they had to be opened, and the A/C could not turn off for two nights due to terrible remotes and batteries. It was freezing in our place. The next morning after we arrived when we wanted to go to another town, our car was blocked in for about an hour as they searched for the driver of the truck blocking us. To top all of this off, when we shared all of these grievances with the manager THREE TIMES, he did nothing for us. He had said he was working on it as they normally don't give any compensation, but he never followed through. It's really too bad, as the staff is wonderful, the place is beautiful, but the management is terrible. These were all issues that were simple and should have never been problems that we had to deal with on our vacation. I've never stayed in a hotel like this where the management wouldn't make up for their mistakes with the customer.

Beautiful little hotel, we will absolutely be back! Our room was clean, spacious yet cozy. I have a high standard of cleanliness and this place surprised me, in the best way! Such a great space for families, felt very safe and welcoming. The photos of the hotel do not do it justice, it is such a gem. Only issue we had was the hot tub kept running cold, besides that, the place was 5/5 stars. We did some yoga during our stay as well, that was a very nice little treat. It is a quick 5 minute walk to down town Sayulita, 3 minute walk to the beach.

Casa Loteria was a great choice of accommodations for our family on our trip to Sayulita. The hotel is within walking distance of anything you could possible need, and the grounds/staff were excellent.

Pros: property was great, breakfast was well worth the extra fee, staff was friendly and helpful, parking accommodations were great, and the pool/hot tub were clean and well maintained.

Cons: Pool was a bit cold, and due to the property layout it was tough to get enough sun to warm it up. On the Saturday night during our stay there was an impromptu concert at the soccer field across the street that played until 5am the next morning which made sleep pretty difficult for the kids. I understand this isn't on the hotel at all, and I understand that the local community is well within their rights to have a good fiesta, but it did affect the trip a bit.

Overall, Casa Loteria was great, and I'd love to return in the future!

The hotel has really high potential. It’s in an incredible location and the rooms are beautiful, big and extremely well equipped. A couple things that were a bit frustrating - the hot water didn’t work ever in our showers. At the very most it was luke warm and they tried to fix it once for us. We also weren’t told we needed to put a sign on our door handle for cleaning service so we didn’t know it was available until the last day which was a shame. If you’re a couple or with friends, know the pool attracts a lot of kids which can be really loud in the morning and detracts from using the pool in the day. The hottub was also never hot.

The people who work there are super friendly and accessible and helped me organize the shuttle to and from the airport which was great!

Loved the “Loteria” ( a popular Mexican bingo game), theme, free early morning Yoga, and a VIP complementary bottle of fine wine. But, the real stand out for me was the fantastic staff, including Luis, Adrian, Enrique, and Betsy, who did EVERYTHING to ensure me and my partner’s safety. comfort, and enjoyment. If something needed improvement, the staff did EVERYTHING to make it right. In fact, we left a couple of belongings in our room. With one call, our things were located, and the front desk sprang into action to get our items directly back home to us. That’s the definition of service to the customer ! The surrounding area provided everything a curios traveler could want, including great food, fun shopping, a gorgeous ocean, and that laid back Sayulita ambiance we all could use more of. I know that with such a glowing Expedia hotel review, Casa Sayulita will draw many new travelers, and that’s just fine with me, because this hotel deserves a ton of compliments! As for myself, I look forward to the next time I come to beautiful Sayulita and especially the soulful and caring staff which makes Casa Loteria, by itself, such a special hotel destination. Great boutique hotel. The only thing I would recommend is adding hair conditioner, tissue and more bath towels. Also the pool water is way too cold, and the jacuzzi was not fixed.

Breakfast was great. Staff is all nice.
