Entire resort super clean . Staff amazingly friendly . Shout out to our butler Josue for always going above and beyond for us ! Food was always fresh and sooo good ! Only thing to be aware of is there are lots of stairs .. everywhere . Pool was always super clean .

The rooms were very clean. The staff are amazing, very friendly. The food/restaurants were fantastic. The beach was incredible, the water was calm enough to swim. We spent hours swimming in the ocean everyday. We will definitely be back!

Great beach for swimming, great staff, food and restaurants good.
Could have more restaurants open at the same time which would allow a person being able to get a reservation as needed. Some hatd to get a reser during the stay. Also more beach chairs and punt the people off the beach chairs that think getting up at 6am to reserve a beach chair for the day with a towel is acceptable. Then the chairs are not used for half the day.

Beautiful views, excellent food, and great pools. Most of the staff were very courteous. However, a few were quite pushy about getting me to sign up for the travel club, and on a couple of occasions I did not receive the correct amount when exchanging for smaller bills. I caught it once, but missed it another time. It wasn’t a significant amount, so I’m not too concerned.

This was our second time staying at this resort in the Family Selection with a large group and lots of kids, and both visits were excellent. A huge part of that is thanks to Josue, who truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay.

The Nest is fantastic, and Carlos at the pool was an absolute joy every single day—his energy and care made our experience exceptional. The pool bar bartenders were also consistently fantastic.

We will absolutely be back, largely because of the outstanding service from Josue, Carlos, and the incredible bar team.

We’ve been to many resorts over the last few years, and this was our first time staying in Family Selection. It quickly became our favorite—not because the resort itself is wildly different from others, but because the service was truly exceptional.

A huge part of that was Josue and Isáias. From before we arrived to the moment we said goodbye, they were on top of everything we needed and made the entire trip feel effortless. Their attention, kindness, and consistency turned what could’ve been “just another resort vacation” into the best experience we’ve had.

We can’t wait to come back—mainly because of them. Thank you again Josue and Isáiah!

Our family of 6 had a wonderful week! We had three different rooms, all in Family Selection. In my opinion it's definitely worth the extra money to stay in Family Selection. Check in is so simple as this section has its own entrance/ lobby. You are provided with your own family butler, who can answer any questions, call bell boys, make dinner reservations for you, or arrange a taxi to wherever you may want to go (we actually ubered quite a bit it's much cheaper). Family selection has its own pool, which we didn't use much but the snack bar and restaurant right there are great. We found the main pool to be a lot more fun - get seats early or you won't have one all day!
Rooms are great and actually quite spacious.
The beach is gorgeous, there's a swimmable area which is nice and many tide pools surrounding which we loved to be able to see all the sea creatures. The bar down on the beach is very convenient.
The food - for an all inclusive the food is very good. We especially liked the Nest and Portofino. We didn't get to try Adelita or Bamboo since we wanted to eat in town a few times. The kids LOVED the 24/7 room service as well as the Xtra Time sports bar. They have a a kids area with Xbox, pool , ping Also basketball court and pickleball / tennis.
What really sets this resort apart is the customer service - it's truly top notch . All of the staff are fantastic and go out of their way to be friendly. Beautiful grounds .

EVERYTHING stood out! Above all, the staff -- the family buttlers. Starting even before the trip started - our family \"Buttler\" contacted us way in advance, asked for some info and by the we arrived we were greeted with a totally customized welcome package. Had a great stay at family selection. Highly recommend the family selection side in stead of grand palladium. We had a butler, Elliott, who was amazing and he went above and beyond to ensure all of our needs were met. The pool server, Carlos, was one of the hardest working person I have ever met. He made our pool days fantastic by ensuring drinks were always available and food readily accessible. The room service could use some work as they didn’t answer to take our order one evening and the wait times to receive food was 90 minutes on one occasion. Rooms were clean, little dated but overall I would recommend. Bus stops right outside the resort for easy access to downtown puerto Vallarta.

We had an amazing time ! There’s lots to do on this beautiful property. The nightly entertainment was great. Food and drinks were really good. The kids didn’t want to leave.. they had a lot of fun in the pool, beach and the kids club.What really elevated our experience and what will bring us back - was the staff ! Great hotel has everything you need. High end restaurants but you don’t have to worry about the bill. I enjoyed all restaurants. Great atmosphere, family oriented. My concierge was Eliutt he was great. He made our stay very enjoyable and we were very happy. We were treated with kindness.
I have visited different all inclusive hotels some a little more expensive and others less expensive but this one is the best of all. The concierge’s supervisor was very beginning. They even let you enjoy installations before they have your room ready and you can also check out late, enjoying all the amenities and your luggage can stay in the lobby.
I recommend the family selection you won’t regret.

Our stay was good overall but we really didn’t find the food at some of the restaurants very flavourful. I was disappointed with the Bamboo, Italian and the Mexican. There were some good things on each menu but nothing that would make us want to return.
The service and the staff were excellent at the resort and we had no complaints with how friendly and welcoming they were. The Nest & the International were our favourites but sometimes the food was inconsistent and not always hot. Drinks were good but I found the bar ran out of certain things often & we would have to order something else. Also, the coffee bar in the Family Selection only opened at 11 am and there were no instructions on how to use the equipment so we never went back.
The resort was a good size for our family and we enjoyed the spa and my kids loved having room service. The rooms were a good size but a little outdated and with 2 teenagers the pull out bed was too small. I had asked our Expedia rep about options and the manager was supposed to contact me but that never happened. For these reasons we would likely not return to this resort.

Resort is great. Can tell it’s older, but every single day someone was working on maintenance things like painting, etc. Great to see. Family Selection side was totally worth the upgrade. The pool was so much quieter and access to The Nest made meal times calm and relaxed as opposed to trying to get to the buffet before a rush. Elioot was one of our butlers and was fantastic. Having the Butlers book al la carte restaurants meant we had one booked every night we were there. Japanese and Mexican were highlights. Mexican was my kids favorite as they made fresh guacamole right at your table. Kids club activities weren’t communicated about well at all but the activities themselves and the team were great. We had a safety incident with a hairdryer without a proper guard catching and pulling out hair and overall their reaction/response to it was good. They comped us 2 passes to the hydrotherapy circuit at the spa. I would not recommend paying for this as the experience wouldn’t be worth the cost. There were also massive numbers of bees coming out of the drains at the spa pool and no one seemed to be dealing with them. The performers at the evening shows were very talented. Would recommend this resort for sure.

We stayed in the Family Selection with 2 other families. The staff was amazing, especially Moses who was very friendly and helped calm my son down when he tripped and fell on the morning we were leaving. We ended up upgrading to an ocean view suite as the first room we were assigned looked onto construction of a new building next door. The entertainment for the kids was great and the Family Selection pool and restaurant were perfect for families travelling with children.

When we arrived, we’re welcomed with drinks and an Expedia concierge (Eliutt) to guide us to the room, as well as telling us a little bit about the hotel. We got a room with the view of a construction site, which was not the greatest. The pools were not very clean; it might be due to spill of drinks. They have a beautiful beach and many activities such as surfing lessons. The only restaurant I would recommend is The Nest. The Nest has so much good food. We would like to thank Expedia concierge Eliutt for his excellent service during our stay. He kept in touch with us on the very first day and until the day we checked out.

Overall, our family, and group of 11 total had a good time. The food at all of the a la carte restaurants was fantastic. The Bamboo Japanese restaurant I could have eaten at every night. The pools were good, but the activities that were scheduled for kids were often late or didn’t happen at all. The rooms were okay, our A/C didn’t really work and was never fixed, our room was missed for cleaning once, and the toilet ran non stop which was loud. I attempted to order room service one night and it just never showed up which was disappointing. Obviously we didn’t spend a lot of time in the rooms but they definitely need some work. The bartending staff was great and made delicious drinks for both adults and kids. Beach access was easy and lots of activities there like body boarding and surfing. It was a good place but not one that I’m going to book repeatedly.

Friendly staff and awesome bartenders.. the butlers were very nice and helpful.. Elias and Luis at lobby bar on family side were very knowledgeable! This property is beautiful BUT limited AC in certain areas only.. most restaurants and buffets didn’t have AC 😳 food was ok at both restaurants and buffets.. drinks were on point.. nice swimmable and walkable beach, but pools were warm and very packed with families.. not enough entertainment for older teenagers and sports bar had alot with small kids ..adult pool was nice but far walk..the timeshare people at check in lobby were a bit aggressive but we finally quit talking to them.. valet service guys were nice and fast!

This was pur first time going to an all inclusive resort stay. My 77 year old mother joined us as well. The staff was amazing and helpful. They used a wheelchair to move her around and were really nice about it as well. The pool, beach, natural pool, and the natural landscape were amazing. We hope to be back again!

Overall it was a good stay. Property could use some upkeep. The gardens were dusty from construction next door. The pools did not feel clean. The property needed better signage/directory to get to places. Staff overall were nice but we noticed a change when we wouldn’t accept a discussion on their travel club program. Right away they hit us up on this and after a long day of travel that was the last thing we wanted. They rushed our greeting/explanation of amenities so found ourselves guessing the entire time. Food could be better, I wanted more authentic Mexican food. I get they want to provide a luxurious experience but as an American I want to experience Mexican culture. Once we turned downed the travel club we were never offered any type of experience or excursions. Nightly entertainment is great and the area where it’s set up is great, lots of seating and kids entertainment was fun and age appropriate!

This was an great option for our family with two younger kids. Staff was very attentive and clearly prioritized the guest experience. Was not impressed with the beach at this resort. Thankfully we had a rental car and drove to Puerto Vallerta and San Pancho on separate days where the beaches were big and beautiful. The restaurants at the Palladium were good, but the buffet was average. The staff was absolutely amazing and we liked our room. The grounds were well cared for and nice.

That’s not my first time in Mexico, usually I don’t write bad reviews, but this Property everybody have to know about it. Let me start from beginning as soon as we walked into Property. It looks like a junkyard, all broken car all around , very poor customer service they have only one receptionist to take care of all the guest, you’re going to wait two hours and a half just to get ur room. there is one person by the door. He’s not leaving you alone. He wants you to sell you timeshare what a noisy guy. we got the room , after 2 1/2 hours,omg room, smelly, unbelievable how bad was, very old furniture, smelly mattress, and smelly blanket, I called customer service this room smells so bad. They told me open the window for half an hour is gonna go away because you are on the beach. I couldn’t stand the room. I told my family let’s walk area till the smell is gonna be gone. everything was close. Everything will open 6 pm, we walk in by the beach, I swear to God i never ever my life seen dairy beach like it they never ever clean front of the beach, I went to the shop to buy some chips and drink for my kids one chips one soda, $25. please everyone do the homework before go to this properties. You will be sorry. by the way, you are not close to the beach. You have to walk in 20 minutes. I wish I could do -5 star.

This sprawling property offers ample space to explore, with beautiful beaches and inviting pools. Tip: Be sure to grab your towels early in the morning.
While the rainy season in August can bring power outages and occasional flooding, the property's natural beauty still shines through. Unfortunately, the property's hilly terrain and numerous stairs may pose challenges for guests with disabilities.

The on-site baby care was a convenient feature for families with young children. The food was enjoyable, though we found the menu a bit repetitive after a week and a half. Overall, this property is a great choice for those seeking a spacious getaway, but be prepared for potential weather-related inconveniences.

El precio del Family selection era más económico que del hotel regular, probablemente por un tema de fechas o ocupación. Haciendo que no fuera esclusivo, llegan personas en camiones de tours, o en grupos que hace parecer un balneario popular. El hotel gran Palladium (a un lado) tiene muchas más amenidades sin embargo de menor calidad los alimentos. Del lado del Family selection los alimentos y bebidas son muy buenos sin embargo es muy pequeño esa sección del hotel lo que te obliga a ir al otro hotel

We stayed in several different hotels between Puerto Vallarta- Punta de Mita and this was our favourite!
The others were Riu Vallarta, Marivel Emotions, Delta Marriott La Cruz, & Velas Vallarta
The food here was fab & we felt it was the best & it was the only place we were able to get blueberries, blackberries, strawberries & raspberries for the baby (though we skipped the raspberries as they were covered in flies as the food was uncovered which is 1 improvement that could easily be made) the service brilliant, the staff very helpful & even cooked a plateful of asparagus for the baby. The Nest restaurant food & service was great. (Though they did somehow forget to bring kids breakfast but there was plenty of other stuff to eat whilst waiting so no big deal)
We did a night in the main hotel in an ocean view room which was nice (but couldn’t see the ocean from the bed which we had been able to in other hotels that used glass screen/metal railings etc on the balcony instead of a wall) and a night in the family selection side.
It was nice to get some little gifts in the family selection like bucket/spade, top etc.

The beach was better on the main side with some soft sand areas (also some rocks & lots of beautiful shells) the food in the main restaurant was really good too. We were just disappointed we couldn’t get a space in the Japanese restaurant.

The pools were warm except the kids pool with the slides (would have thought the kids pool more important to be warm) baby

It was also nice to have a host located in our building that we could ask questions and get help with reservations and connecting with other parts of the hotel outside of the Family Selection area such as the spa and restaurants.

The staff was incredibly nice. We honestly couldn’t have been happier with staff. Be aware lots of stairs. if you stay in in the family selection and you’re in building four, you’ll hear the loud music at night. Didn’t bother us but it may bother young kids. Beach area pool everything was awesome.

From the moment you book family selection they make it seem like you get a great service. The host we were provided didn’t do anything for us. She never helped to book any restaurant reservations or provide any services. She lied about a lot of things and the staff lied about stuff as well. The host said she was there to help with anything but she did nothing but say no to everything. Supposedly all the restaurants were booked prior to us going. That means we have to eat at the buffet everyday. We traveled with other friends as well but they were able to get a reservation (even though we were there before them and after them). We were given grand palladium gift card but when we tried to use it they all lied and made up stories. I would never go back to this place due the lies and deceitful of some of the workers . Only people that were good were servers at the pool and some of the restaurants. It might be possibly the host we had but she was horrible . She lied and the front desk workers lied about everything.

I thought we were paying for a 5 star hotel but these one is more like a 3 star one. We were in the family select sector which it is supposed to be the best. Well, it’s not or in other words is the best they have. Our room was supposed to be garden view but instead was a wall of mud and a fence. The jacuzzi was broken and dirty water came out. Room service never cleaned our shower. In family select there is only ONE restaurant and every day and night they offered the SAME menu. The second option is the pool bar with limited hours. The pool is small but at least water is warm. The staff of the kids club make you feel like you are bothering them if you leave your kids when there is no activity plan with them (and they insist that you go to their activity in the pool area). Every time I picked my kids they were watching a movie.
The service especially at the restaurants is VERY slow. It can take you 1.5 hours for lunch or dinner and you will be lucky if the appetizer arrives before the entree.
Cocktails are poor qu. Not real fruit or pulp. Just the cheapest option they could offer you.
Nobody informs you what the hotel has to offer you. On our last day we learnt that there are free boogie boards but you have to go to the other hotel beach to use them. Everything is in the other hotel, connected to family selection so prepare to walk a lot. Even if you want a snack at 5.30 pm because the pool bar/ restaurant closes at 6 but they (servers) don’t allow you to order after 5.30 pm.

We have checked into the hotel at 4pm. Now it’s 9pm and we have no food or drinks. All of the restaurants on the territory of the hotel are closed. No mini bar in the room. Nothing. My kids 2 and 4 yo are without snacks, water. We were not notified prior to checkin that this is the situation. Horrible experience.

Staff was very nice but the property needs a lot of work. Very dirty around the pool areas and bars. Air conditioning very weak in room. We had to change rooms 4 times due to AC not working or shutting off. Maintenance person fixing the AC told my wife the hotel was to cheap to properly fix the AC. The food was not great. Everything is mostly buffet or premaid so no modifications on certain items you order. I eould never stay at the hotel again

Stayed in the family section and it was horrible! The restaurant the nest and buffet are closed at lunch times and only options to eat are cheeseburgers which were always rubbery overcooked or quesadillas no healthy food and not baby friendly or go to your room and wait for room service. I have a one year old who is a very good eater but I don’t feed him junk food he eats healthy not processed foods and these options just were not acceptable. You have to make reservations for restaurants for dinner the Mexican food at adalita was not good and the service was beyond terrible I asked for a plain tortilla for my baby to hold him over while he waited for dinner and they never brought him one nor did they check on us or bring us water- the waiter had an attitude like he didn’t enjoy his job or working and it showed.we are very friendly and no matter the circumstances we were never rude and we have never been treated this way in our entire lives! As for the room- It says on the description for the room on the website that you get robes and slippers in your room and we did not. Our room was supposed to be restocked daily with waters and snacks and beverages and it was only restocked once and we stayed 7 days!Our room flooded there was water leaking down from the ceiling and you can tell this wasn’t the first time. They didn’t do anything about it! A room change should have been offered but nope they did nothing.

In the Family Selection area, our butler went above and beyond!! SPEEDY IS THE BEST!! He anticipated all our needs (and that was 10 in our group, including four children). Everyone had their own wants and needs, and any time we needed help or questions he was there for us. We have traveled many places but never had this type of attention!! It’s so worth staying at the Family Selection with these special butlers. We were so fortunate to have “Speedy” as our butler! Efficient, speaks English very well, friendly, always helpful. We ended up staying an extra week in Family Selection—we felt like “family!!” Definitely would go back, quiet beach and also great food at The Nest!

The kid pool with slides had poop my son went down the slide and came out with his hand full of poop. I brought it up with a staff member and he said nothing can be done until the pool closes at night - After that we couldn`t trust using any pool.

Our check in was a mess the guy who attend us was not good , they mixed out reservations , they gave us 2 singles beds for a room of 4 people , Food and shows were good as always but overall you could notice a big difference on the personal from this years than the previous year , I stayed with 13 members of my family , we were able to have a wonderful time but at the beginning we thought it was going to be the opposite

Llegamos bastante tarde a hacer el check in (pasadas 10 pm) y ya no estaba abierto el lobby de la sección Family Selección por lo que tuvimos que hacer check in en el lobby general y el servicio fue malo, lento y no nos dieron ninguna indicación de que teníamos incluido o las instalaciones nada. El hotel es grande, tiene bastante cosas para hacer yo recomiendo acercarse con el concierge y preguntar. Se nota en algunas áreas que el hotel tiene sus años pero en general todo bien, la comida y bebidas son buenas, las habitaciones amplias y cómodas.

Everything very good, but the welcome bottle of wine never arrived to the room, we needed to request the family boss pack for my daughter instead of having it at the room and also the nursery services for 0-3 year old was not available; otherwise everything was great.

This is our second time staying at this resort and our last one. This time was a total different experience. We stayed at the Family Selection side of the resort and there was a lot of noise in other rooms between 2am and 7am. We couldn't sleep well. I had to call twice because the noise was unacceptable. This time, it was not all inclusive. They were charging for the lobster. It wasn't included in any of the restaurants. We also had to ask for them to reclean our room because the lady that came in didn’t change the sheets, didn’t restock the toilet paper and fridge. So many unfortunate things happened this time.

This hotel is perfect for family who has small kids.
Less stress for everything since family selection is the concept of this hotel. I have 2 kids, one is 2 and the other is 5. Never felt such a relaxed time during the stay at a hotel before with kids. I will definitely stay again.

Food poisoning. Not only myself but several others at the resort. The food was bad. We found ourselves taking the taxi the last few night to Punta Mita to eat good food. The beach was very nice, and the kids pool was fun for the little ones. Also, with the restaurants the wait times could be up to an hour and the service was poor because they were too busy to support that many guests. I will definitively take my money elsewhere in the future.
