The pools were great, the staff were friendly, the only complaints i had were that the room had no fridge or coffee maker and no coffee on site, they have a restaurant the we found was below average, there is a little store nearby that you can get coffee, drinks etc.. if you book heŕe i would recommend getting the suites and not the standard rooms as they are very small and lack basic amenities, also the beach area is very rocky and not ideal. Overall a very average experience at this hotel.

We loved our stay. We stayed in the newer tower, amazing views of whales and sunsets. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff was accommodating. Three pools to pick from. Beach has some rocks but I thought it was nice. Good beach chairs. I would stay there again. Area not busy like the city, I loved that. The restaurant had good food but needed more drink selection. Amenities close by. We will miss being there🤗

We had a great room in newer area on top floor looking over the ocean. Everything was clean. Pillows were excellent. lol. The restaurant / bar wasn’t very good. Too expensive compared to what u could get elsewhere. Service was not very good there & it was not even busy . (Restaurant only )The three pools were amazing !! We would go back! Short walk to town.

Check-In was a bit slow and the lady looked a bit disorganized. I guess my expectations are high but I thought the mastery of English would be a little better than it was considering it's a tourist town. We had quite a bit of trouble with our safe and also the door key. Response to our complaints was pretty good
Now on the positive side. The hotel, rooms and grounds were very clean and the staff was very friendly. The 3 pools were very very nice and I saw them clean them everyday. Only one restaurant but it was good and on the ocean front. There is an Oxo store about a quarter of a block away. Great for picking up snacks, pop, alcohol, and just about anything you need. The beach had a few rocks but it was still nice. I would go back in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay here and would come again. We so appreciated overlooking the beach in a relatively quiet neighborhood, where we could easily walk to a few spots, and take a short taxi ride to town. Our suite and the property pics were just as advertised. We spent a lot of time in the pool and on the veranda outside our room. Staff was nice and helpful, and tolerated my rudimentary Spanish. Restaurant on site was good for a couple meals.

Good location, nice beach and infinity pool, pools are a bit rundown as was the room (lots of water stains on ceiling, bathroom door knob about to fall off), room cleanliness varied based on who cleaned it that day and some days it just wasn’t good, the restaurant on the beach is okay but the good thing is you don’t need to eat there because there’s lots of great restaurants and coffee shops within easy walking distance. The air conditioning was great and there was lots of hot water. It’s an okay place in a great location, most staff were very nice and friendly but most likely won’t stay here again.

The overall stay was good. Room and property was clean all the time.
My only suggestion will be the bathroom. It was old with rusty shower head and keys and the mirror was broken. We also didn’t have any place to hang dry towels.

Loved the pools. They were always clean and heated. Lots of chair options both around the pools and on the beach. Sun or shade, whatever you wanted. The staff was helpful and friendly. I stayed in a suite with a kitchen. Basic appointment but enough to make meals. Bed was comfortable and there was plenty of closet space to unpack. Gorgeous view from my balcony to the Bay. Good proximity of the hotel to the Golden Zone. Very walkable. Room had a fan and air conditioning for the really hot days. Would recommend Los Picos.

We stayed at the 6person suite with the “tobogán” pool view. The room was terrible. Both of the showers that were in the suite were really old so the shower heads on both were spilling water all over the bathroom. The air conditioning unit (mini split) in both rooms were moldy. One of them didn’t turn on and the other one was spilling water onto the bed and pillows when turned on. In the kitchen, the faucet was very old so the water would come out at an angle and not straight down like normal. There was also a significant leak under the sink when we would open the faucet so there was always a big puddle of water on the floor by the sink. The fridge would tilt when we opened it and it was scary because it felt like it was going to fall over every time. There are no blackout shades in the living room, so people can see inside the living room area when walking by. Our biggest concern was the moldy smell and malfunctioning air conditioning units. We asked for a different room and the staff said that all of the suites were the same. We went to look at another suite and it was worse than ours. I would not return to the hotel if the rooms are dilapidated. The pools and beach were very nice. The towel service was terrible. Staff said they were open from 10-6 for towel service and I went several times during that time frame and they were closed.

It was unfortunate that our Balcony was shared with neighbors so there was no privacy out there.

Only real problem was our room. When we checked in there was water on the bathroom floor which is pretty slippery on tile floors. I tracked it to a drip coming from bathroom sink. I complained about it, a maintenance guy came spent a few minutes and said all fixed. It wasn’t.
Luckily I had I frisbee which I put under the sink and it caught most of the water. Next day I told them it wasn’t fixed, showed the guy where the water was coming from and he said he could not fix it. They offered another room which was down a dark corridor with only a 2ft x 2ft window. We turned it down and counted on the frisbee. Also the door to the room was sliding patio door. The locking mechanism would tak up to a minute at times to get in. We had 2 keys and staff asked for our key to get in because theirs didn’t work. It wasn’t the key, it was the lock. Toilet had trouble flushing even small duces sometimes, not to mention the chain falling off. Something I could fix but left it for them along with a nice surprise. Not my job to fix the toilet.
The rest of the property was fine including communal washrooms throughout the property, clean and reasonably modern.

Our room was a studio suite on 3rd floor. Our air conditioner was dropping such much water that there was a small pool on the floor. On the third time to try to have it fixed, we finally agreed with the maintenance guy to shut it down and not use it. The kitchen area, stove top (greasy)and appliances blender and coffee machine were NOT clean. Had to leave a note for housekeeping. The bed was comfortable but there should be night tables and lamps instead having to use overhead lights. We had to share our balcony with the next room. Luckily it was not a smoker or a loud person. However the person on the other side of the wall, their smoke was not pleasant. The location of Los Picos and price per night was very good. We would definitely return.

Be careful when booking your room. If staying for 1or2 nights the queen room has just a bed and bathroom. NOTHING ELSE!! We were booked for 2 weeks so thank goodness we were able to be moved to a king room in the tower. Our friends on the other hand weren't so lucky and got stuck with the tiny bedroom for 2 weeks!!

I was disappointed at our room, compared to what was shown on Expedia’s website. The cost in Cdn when the room was booked was $135.00 Cdn, actual cost $198.00 Cdn.
The room was extremely small, no fridge, no coffee maker.
However it did have a safe…

We enjoyed our 21 nights in the new building on the 4th floor. The ocean view was awesome from the balcony. The balcony had a nice patio set and large drying rack for clothes. Room was a good size with comfortable beds and pillows. Enjoyed the pools—three to choose from.

I paid for ocean view and a private balcony. Got neither. The room itself was exactly as advertised. Staff were excellent. We enjoyed our stay but every day we were disappointed as we had coffee every morning and a few beer every evening on the balcony looking at the back of another building. The view was the reason for picking the suite.

Bad communication in English at front desk and restaurant!! It took 4 days for someone to fix our tv and the 3 English channels didn’t work good!! And no Canadian channel!! No phones in room! No towels given in room a few days! Had a terrible room to start with!! And no activities or entertainment!! No boogie boards to rent!! I won’t go back!! Worst stay ever!!

During our stay there was violence in P.V and the staff at Los Picos were amazing to keep us safe, informed and fed during lockdown. We had a great stay at Los Picos. My family stayed in a suite, pool view. It had everything we needed, including a blender to make those blended drinks!🍹
The only complaint would be the bed and pillows. They're hard.
On day 4, after we returned to our suite from an excursion, there was a major flood coming down from the floor above. They were quick to accommodate and move us to a new suite. It didn't impact sny of our belongings thankfully. We appreciated the quick and kind service!
The infinity pool and beach is the best part! It can get busy, and the best sun loungers fill early, but we always found seats somewhere

I should not complain, because the room was inexpensive, but will comment for future guests and the hotel management. The resort is mid-size and mid-level. It also has several levels within the complex. The room I had was a decent size, with a bed, and two bedside tables, and two lamps. AC and and TV on the wall. No chair, and no decoration whatsoever. Walls high and all white. Bathroom ok, but fan didn’t work, and toilet seat was broken. Bedding threadbare, and overall, not terribly clean, but not terrible. Worst thing was not really a window. Small thin, about 14 inches by 6 inches. Felt like a cell.
Nice beach, and pool, and little restaurant and bar, some green space. Lots of families, and seemed good for kids. Water slide, but needs maintenance. Wouldn’t take much to significantly improve the hotel rooms. Most people in suites.

This is a great, quiet, family property. Walkable to all the fun in Bucerias, but you can get away from the action as well. I stayed in the tower, my room was clean comfortable with a great kitchen. Staff and property are great! I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in our clean hotel room at Los Picos. Staff were friendly. The restaurant has great food but just needs to address the wasps that come around. One got in my coffee and I took a swig and it stung the roof of my mouth! Luckily I am not allergic and pain went away fairly soon.

We like that we can go in a pool or on the beach. We also felt safe. Our AC worked well. Only 3 English TV channels but that’s ok. The rooms are small but not an issue when you are out most of the day. We hope to be back!

The room had no view, the bed was a sofa bed, there was a thin door between the adjacent room and there was a serious fight happening in the next room. My wife and I felt very threatened by what seemed to be a violent confrontation next door. There was no other rooms available so we never stayed the night we found other accommodation.
The staff were as helpful as they could be under the circumstances and did all they could to help us. Hotels .com was excellent in their support and we were able to enjoy our holiday at another location.

The resort it self was ok . The room was terrible, the only window was 12” across and about 3 ‘ high. It was unsecured and unlocked at ground level for 2 days . When they fixed it they screwed it shut! Room was very small not even a place to put suitcases.we had to take a chair from around the pool into the room for luggage and a place to sit . I asked everyday for the first 8 days of our stay for an upgrade and also offered to pay , they would not even consider it ,told no every time! If you stay here never stay in the hotel side with the water slide ! Rooms ALL suck! Extremely disappointed.

Check in was brutal. When we arrived at our assigned room - after first being taken to the wrong room - we discovered there was a leak in the ceiling by the air conditioner. We asked for a different room but were told none were available. We had to wait for a couple of hours while the maintenance guy repaired the leak and the water was cleaned up, There were 4 of us staying in the room. Had to ask for a larger coffee pot(which we had to find a creative way to work because it had the wrong size pot) and more coffee. Only 2 cups so again had to ask for cups. Also didn't have enough towels for 4 people so constantly had to ask for towels and face cloths and toilet paper. Coffee maker and cups were never cleaned by staff. Sliding door did not lock.

The view from our 6th floor room was amazing and loved the patio table and chairs on the large deck - as well as the clothes rack for drying our bathing suits!
Staff was super friendly and the breakfast at the beachfront restaurant was excellent!
It was about a 15 minute walk along the beach to Centro and the resort was clean, and felt very welcoming!
In our room was a large wardrobe, coffee maker, microwave and large mini fridge - everything we needed for our stay! Mucho gracias!!

They didn’t give us the room we booked and refused to make it right so we got a refund from Expedia-minus one night. The bathroom was very rundown & dirty and it took over twenty minutes of running water to get lukewarm water. The pool was missing so many tiles that it looked unkept. The restaurant on the beach was pretty good and had great prices.

The room was advertised as a one queen bed full kitchen. It is not a bed. It is a pull out sofa bed. BIG difference, especially for someone with physical issues and a 10 night stay. The room is also connecting and you can hear EVERYTHING, including your neighbours entire conversation or them using the washroom. They may as well have been in the room with me. Hotel staff were nice. However many requests like a simple wine glass, they were not able to even provide. The restaurant serves wine so this was a simple request. Housekeeping was not consistent as I asked for facecloths and they would be removed each day and not replaced. There was old soap from the previous guests found behind the sink, so housekeeping definitely needs to step up their standards. The floors were never cleaned properly and I had to wear sandals all the time, or be cleaning my feet constantly. The restaurant I was told had good reviews. However the first day they said they were out of cappuccinos, and the 2nd day out of guacamole. After that I did not return. The pools were nice however the temperature needs to be monitored as it was like bath water, and not exactly refreshing. There was plenty of pool loungers. Nice property and far away enough for town that it was quiet at night. However very basic.

We had a clean room, loved the pools especially one by the beach. Loved the pool slide- what a great feature. The restaurant was excellent.
I didn't feel as safe as other places because the windows were not real quality. I didn't have a view but got over it since we spent most of our time either wanting privacy or were outside. They could improve their service if they offered water everyday for the rooms AND coffee- at least by the receptionist. But we did get some relaxation in.

I paid for an upgraded room and the room and view were amazing. Got to see whales every afternoon from the balcony. Service wasnt great but also want terrible. The room was clean enough, front desk checked me in but no explanation of anything so thankfully I rode the elevator with a fellow Canadian and he was helpful.

We loved the pools and the beach. The 1 bedroom with kitchenette was perfect for us. Close walk into town as well. One improvement I would like to see would be a more comfortable bed/ linens

The room didn't meet all of our expectations. We had a kitchenette. The refrigerator was very noisy, the kitchen utensils were of poorer quality with rust spots on some of the cutlery and rust spots in the some of the pots and pans. Although it was comfortable, the sofa bed wasn't as convenient as a real bed. We didn't ever use it as a sofa.

This was our first time staying at the property and I was very pleased by nearly all aspects of our visit. I requested a room on a higher floor in the new tower, and we were placed on the top level. Street noise can be a concern when travelling to Mexico, but with all of the rooms in that building facing the ocean, we heard little traffic noise even though we were very close to the highway. There was some carry-over noise from the adjoining room, which only had one door between the suites. Our room was clean, if a little under-supplied. A second facecloth and hand towels are the norm, but not here. Water bottles were not replaced after check-in, but filling stations were available. Of the three pools, the beachfront option is certainly the most popular. It is stunning! There were plenty of poolside and beach loungers available, though we were visiting at a low-occupancy time (Jan 7-12). One afternoon, a very entitled man refused to heed the rule of no music being played at the pool. I asked for staff to intervene, disappointingly, no one did. The on-site restaurant has a good reputation, and the one day we visited for breakfast, service was quick and friendly. Food was only fine. There is an on-going wasp problem. Their solution is to put syrup and jam packets in the planters to divert them from the tables. It isn’t working. Go to Rinconcito across the street instead! I would stay again, but it’s farther from town/amenities than I usually like. 10/10 value and staff.

Room and pools etc were clean. The staff was great.
Only problem was no hot water in the shower. Great view from room, was overall good spot. I'd stay again.
