Well property was being worked on quite a bit around the lobby, around the restaurants, and quite a few places other than that all was good. Just super loud. We also where sappose to get a gift from expedia but dodnt receive anything. This is 2nd location that jas happened to us at. Food was great and so was room service

I love how friendly the staff at el patron restaurant and our housekeeper were to us. Big excellent rating given to Sra. de la mora (housekeeper) she was super good in cleaning our two bedroom suite.
The waiters Ernesto, Eduardo and Martin at el patron restaurant should receive high performance evaluations for their supreme service to our family. They always were so attentive and made sure we were well taken care of at the restaurant. My son needed a special smoothie made with my supplied protein and they made it very well.

Also the restaurants close down for dinner and you are never informed of the closures. We had to do room service twice for dinner.

The check-in process was the worst part of our experience. We arrived around 4pm and got in line, expecting someone to help us. The front desk staff member was assisting another guest, but once he finished, he walked away without saying a word and never came back. There was no communication at all.

Going to Villa Del Palmar Flamingos feels like going \"home\" and seeing all of your favorite people. Every employee from bellstand and front desk to housekeeping and wait staff are exemplary. My personal favorite is Augustin. He works the beach area and does everything to make beach days the best days. He even remembered me and my husband's names from our trip there last Christmas.
In addition to the people, the property is perfect. It is immaculately landscaped, clean, calm, and has everything I needed for a perfect week.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I can't wait to go back myself!

There seems to be a shortage of staff around the hotel at times. From a simple check in taking around 20 mins to room service taking about an hour for a simple coffee and cake. Also, there was an illness outbreak when we were there. My family along with other guests had what seemed to be food poisoning. There isn't a lot to do in terms of activities and they don't pllay any music except from 1-3pm by the pool. Food options could be better as well. Lunch time at El Patron restaurant will take about 30 mins from the time you order to the time you get your food. Lastly, I was very upset to know that the staff doesn’t stock up your fridge with beverages the same day you arrive. The receptionist mentioned that it happens the next day once their beverage runners return in the morning. Unbelievable that they would say this seeing how expensive this hotel stay was.

You can’t make reservations for dinner for your family but when you show up to have dinner they tell you they are all full and come back in 1.5- 2 hours. Unbelievable!!!! This happened to my party at least half of the 8 days we stayed there. They claim to have 5 restaurants but most of them close most nights and they tell you no reservations but most of the tables are empty when they tell you to come back in 2 hours. They food is mediocre at best… we will never go back to this resort.

We have always gone to Villa del Palmar, Los Arcos in Cabo, and we went to this one thinking it was the same, and unfortunately we realized it wasn't. The workers seem to be in a bad mood all the time. The patron, the girl who serves you, Michelle, treated us very badly, and one of the waiters told me that I am not the first to complain about this. Honestly, I wouldn't go back to this hotel, not a chance.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Villa de Palmar Flamingos! It was myself, my wife and infant daughter. I was worried based on some reviews I saw prior to my trip but from the moment we arrived it was a 10 out of 10. The trip into the Puerto Vallarta airport and taxi to the resort was quick and easy. The folks at reception kindly upgraded us from a studio to a one room bedroom and it was great for our family needs - not to mention the view of the resort and beach was breathtaking. We also had a warm welcome from the reception team. The pool and fellow guests were so friendly. The beach water was refreshing. Lastly, the food was incredible (which is rare to say about resorts) - we always left our meals satisfied. More importantly, the staff at each of the restaurants were exceptional made our experience with their exceptional service and kind spirits. I highly highly recommend it.

Great location/beach/pool. Great restaurants and wonderful restaurant staff. Pool-side service was too busy and hard to get a hold of, but the restaurants were easy to get seated/service. Check-in/check-out was painfully slow and frustrating, took nearly an hour to properly be credited for a spa discount that I had not been given at check-out. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Despite warnings about not being allowed to reserve pool chairs all were reserved w/ towels by early morning. Frustrating that staff never actually enforced their policy of removing towels after an hour. Overall good with just those few small issues.

Excellent stay at the resort. Everything went great while staying at there from the start of the stay up until the last day! The food was incredible and there’s different restaurants to choose from that made it even better not having to eat from the same restaurant every day while we stayed there. All the waiters were so friendly and welcoming and especially Enrique at El Patron restaurant made the experience all that better! The vibe was so great for the whole family that we had a blast! The hotel had different entertainment events there almost every night that made the hotel stand out! Great place to have a vacation and relax!

Overall we had a nice time at Villa del Palmar Flamingos. However, a couple of nuisances:
1. Expedia VIP status amenities were not granted. Only a few days in, when I had let Expedia know, the hotel offered us a room upgrade. The 'free' tour and spa service were not free but rather a 'discount'
2. Our first room had a bad smell - glad we were eventually able to get the upgrade
3. The check-in line is way too long. Even worse, the front desk put the wrong check-out date on our room key and I got locked out in the middle of the day. Had to stand in line through the check-in process again to activate the room key.
4. Staff is generally not knowledgeable but just sends you to someone else. Asking the concergie about the 'free dinner', they sent me to the restaurant hosts at dinner. They in turn sent me to the host at breakfast, who said that the VIP status 'free dinner' is not included
5. All in our group experienced issues from the food
6. They don't allow throwing balls in the pool. It's a large pool with several areas - why not allow it in one of them?
7. On several nights, there was very loud music until at least 11pm that made it hard to sleep

The property was clean and it appeared all of the rooms including ours had a good view of the pool area and ocean. Most of the staff were friendly and they didn't push too hard for the time share or membership purchase which we declined at check in. Food was mostly good with all of the restaurants having something we enjoyed, with the only drawback being an occasional hour or more wait for a table. The guys at the poolside bar were awesome as was the woman who normally worked the lobby bar. Kids club was more run down than the pictures advertised, but our daughter still had a good time and the staff were always friendly. The close walk to Bucerias allowed us safe and convenient access to non-resort food and activities.
Don't pay for the shuttle from the airport, it's 3x more expensive and a hassle compared to a cab. The listing says you can use the outdoor pool at the neighboring resort which is incorrect, security wouldn't let us on the property. The taco bar was so slow we walked out one time without ever getting an order in and another time left after waiting forever but not receiving a check. It was really well run and managed. Clean very nice rooms. Well maintained. Food was excellent. The only negative is maid did not restock fridge water or coffee etc. They did not have it in their cart. I would go back. I loved every time we came back from excursion the lobby bell boy would say\" welcome home\". It always made us feel welcome. If you are all inclusive do not write any tip on the bill. Our safe battery was low and asked to fix they and they did it right away. Beautiful views and comfy beds. Very nice area with walking path across street to go to bucerias. Taxi's everywhere. I like the fact they have food safety designation. You wont be disappointed here. Kudos to management.

Computer system was down, so things were a little slow and sometimes frustrating. The resort staff handled it like no other and did the best to not let the lack of technology disrupt us too much. I will say the ‘investment property’ sales presentation was way too much. It was so high pressured I found myself feel bad by the end of it.

5 stars is not enough for this amazing place. From beginning to end, we've never experienced such an incredible vacation. Everything from the property, the service, food, music, location, amenities, care and attention, with just the loveliest and happy staff who all appear to just love their jobs. Even the vendors on the beach are super sweet.
