The property definitely shows its age. It was so loud at night. They do maintenance at night and they were moving ladders and banging metal outside our door until four in the morning. The staff was wonderful, sweet attentive, but I don’t think I’ll be going to another hard rock. There are much better ones out there for the price.

Property is definitely older, rooms need an upgrade. The floor we stayed on had a strong sulphur smell.

The good news is they are undergoing a complete renovation this year.

Beach is great… soft sand.

Love the size of the property. Not too big, easy to get around.

Food was great.

Staff was excellent! Very kind and always accommodating!

This is a perfect hotel for people who enjoy a lively atmosphere. There are various parties and performances every day, along with enthusiastic staff and delicious food. However, it’s not suitable for me. I just want to spend my vacation quietly. The hotel’s soundproofing is not very good—every night, even past midnight, I could clearly hear singing and party music. Even though I stayed on the top floor, I still couldn’t fall asleep. So I personally prefer quieter hotels.

The resort is very nice, rooms are a bit dated but clean and comfortable. The staff was all very nice and great at their jobs. The nightly entertainment was fantastic and always had great tunes playing in the restaurants and around the pool. The food was good at the buffet as well as all the restaurants. Will definitely go back in the future.

El hotel esta muy bien, la comida y la bebida tambien. Todo el personal es sumamente amable.
Ahora bien, tiene algunas areas de oportunidad:
- La habitación super humeda, nada se secaba y el baño no tiene extractor.
- No hay reservaciones para los restaurantes, ni ponen tiempo de estancia, asi que hay gente que se queda horas y los tiempos de espera para conseguir lugar es de mas de una hora, o vas a las 18:00 como gringo, o esperas largos tiempos.
- La alberca principal fría.

Front desk during checkout are very rude. Once you’re leaving they don’t care. Late checkout impossible.

Rooms are clean as to be expected, maids visit once daily, ensure to put the signage on your pillow for sheet change.

Restaurants average. Avoid the Mexican as food isn’t great and staff seem overwhelmed.

Pool facilities amazing for all ages. Keep in mind people place towels at 4am to ensure they get poolside beds.

Gym facilities excellent.

Nos atendieron muy mal, tenían el hotel lleno y muy poco personal, se les acababan los insumos, las estaciones de comida tienen horarios limitados, y si quieres comer algo después de las 17:00 hrs tenías que ingresar a un restaurante

Hicimos una reserva para el evento del Súper bowl y en el check out nos querían hacer dobles cargos pir este evento porque tuvieron un desorden con las listas de asistentes, nadie tenía control m de nada

Al parecer el hotel entrará en remodelación muy pronto y su servicio e instalaciones solo sobreviven, sin embargo el costo del hospedaje no se alinea en absoluto a sus deficiencias

Prepaid for a round trip private hotel transfer only to stand in the heat for 45 mins while a hotel rep positioned himself in the taxi queue on our behalf while we watched from a few feet away. Upon arrival we were offered an ocean view upgrade, we declined and the front desk agent said “I’ll still give you the room”. She had already written the room number down on the card she handed us. Sad attempt to upsell. We were promptly harassed by our “vacation planner” who was really just trying to get us to attend a 90 minute sales presentation to join their vacation club. Every subsequent walk through the lobby, we were met by this agent offering to incentivize us with whale watching excursions and massages. It got to the point where we avoided the lobby at all costs to prevent awkward exchanges with him and consistently having to turn down his advances. We walked the property excited to indulge in the dinner offerings and were promptly disappointed to find that only two of the restaurants were open, as the property accommodated a large group hosting a sales award ceremony. This party was located outside in the event space directly below our room and the music and cheering didn’t subside until 10pm. The room was significantly smaller than advertised online as they had renovated and turned part of the room into an outdoor balcony with a single person bathtub. Not the private jetted tub inside the room as advertised. Prepare for sectioned off areas for “members only”

Do NOT go to this hotel. It was dirty, poor service, our whole bathroom exploded from tiles up and poop was every where. Both my kids and I got skin infections from their dirty sheets and dirty pool water. Don’t be fooled by the pictures. Rooms are old and dirty. Even hallways dirt. The whole hotel looks like it has been through a beating and then someone pooped all over it. This is not exaggerating, it is the simple truth. DO NOT go here if you actually need to go on vacation. They changed our room 3 times.

The hotel was fine however the sales mentality of the staff was atrocious. They give you a colored bracelet that is also your room key that you can’t take off. The bracelet color ets staff know at a glance if you booked through Expedia, CostCo travel, etc. and they hound you about buying a vacation package directly with them. They offered me free tickets to a show if I met with a representative for no more than 45 minutes. It turned into a 5 hour ordeal AND they called me the next day to see offer another vacation package! The packages run upwards of $20,000 by the way. I felt like I was buying a car and not taking a much needed break from work. Not what I wanted to do in my vacation and I am very disappointed. The experience soured the rest of the vacation. I’m disappointed.

Quality of food was horrible. Basically middle school cafeteria food. Lack of a la carte restaurants was disappointing. How can you go to a resort in Mexico and not have tacos at a restaurant? The pool chair game was so frustrating and not \"policed\" by staff at all. You basically have to demand to speak to a manager to get someone to remove towels from an unoccupied chair (unoccupied for hours!). Too many seats reserved for the Time Share guests. Regular guests get relegated to the second and third rows of chairs.

The staff was alright. But it had a weird setting like it wasn’t clean , the rooms were not dusted , the sheets were just yellow coloured, the diamond deluxe ocean view was a small room considering it’s one of the highest. We went there , had no like nice welcome . Everybody was just wanting to sell you something or upgrade u to legendary which costs more: we were black wristbands but we didn’t know what was included or not , nothing was spoken of. There was one hostess from the restaurant Umo at dinner time named Alondra who was not very accommodating, she was not nice to our waiter, she did not like the way we placed our food orders, and very unfriendly. Alondra ruined our whole group's appetite! Because of her, I will not rebook the hard rock vallarta again. All of the other employees on the property were all very kind except Alondra!

The staff at the resort were all amazing - pool staff, entertainment staff, etc!

We found our room to be very humid which left it with a musky smell. It is in need of some upgrades - jetted tub was dirty and bathroom small for a family of four.

Other similar rooms we saw from our group appeared to have been upgraded and had the sink separate from the shower/toilet. Those rooms where definitely better!

Nuestra estancia fue de 5 noches
No hubo agua en todo el hotel por 10 horas. con esto las condiciones de higiene de todos los huéspedes terrible tanto en restaurantes, baños etc
por 2 días la alberca principal contaminada por una tubería de aguas negras, y no tenía señalamientos visibles que diera aviso a la gente que el agua contaminada!!!!
Después de dos días abrieron la alberca pero se podía ver el fondo de la alberca sucia y por consiguiente el agua que era un foco de infección y perdieron entrar gente

Un día no había agua caliente en nuestra habitación .
Muy mala la experiencia!!!

Dinner restaurants were great. Buffets in the morning were not so good. The whole resort lost water the first day we got there and our beg had bugs they had to change to different room. One of the main pools was dirty and closed the second day my son went in the pool not knowing that it had been treated with chlorine until a staff told us to wash his body all they kept saying was sorry for not having signs in the pool area.

Overall the experience was good at this resort, the pool and beach areas were nice and service was good at both, although the poolside can be a bit loud with music and activities from the resort entertainment staff. Most restaurants were good, although the Zen asian restaurant wasn't good food and made everyone sick after eating there. The room was nice, spacious and well kept, bed was a bit soft and uncomfortable. Staff were very friendly and available. There was some overall noise during the day as they are doing some renovations to the exterior of the building.

Las instalaciones muy limpias, la atención de todos los empleados en general, magnífica. Manny del equipo de animación es muy simpático, servicial y amable. La comida deliciosa aunque cabe recalcar que la oferta del buffet es algo limitada. Los restaurantes si tienen más variedad. El chef Juan Carlos del restaurante Ciao e Israel del restaurante Oriental maravillosos y pendientes de cada detalle!!! Como sugerencia diría que deberían reservar un espacio para que los huéspedes que entran y salen puedan dejar sus pertenencias, cambiarse y/o ducharse mientras esperan a que su habitación esté disponible en el caso de la entrada y puedan ducharse en caso de salida tardía ya que el check out es a las 12 y el check in q las 3:35 pm. Resulta un poco incómodo no poder cambiarte hasta que recibes la habitación y no poder ducharte antes de marcharte del hotel cuando tu vuelo es por la tarde. Si disponen de este servicio, no se nos ofreció.

Staff at restaurants always go above and beyond and the room was cleaned to perfection daily! Only complaint would be the hard sell vacation staff, we went for the meeting. Actually considered investing in the vacation club but they would not allow us time to think about it. Please reconsider your hard sell and pestering tactics. Leaves a bad taste for an otherwise fantastic experience.

Entertainment felt low-effort — no real DJ, just a playlist and a worn speaker. Silent Disco was the highlight, but they cut it short even when guests wanted more. The beach is just okay, and there’s nothing to do nearby. If you plan to stay strictly on property, it’s fine. But if you want activities, shopping, or better food, this isn’t the place. I wouldn’t return, and I wouldn’t count on the new AVA next door to be much better either.

We had a great experience at this hotel! My favorite dinner spot was the Brazilian steakhouse absolutely amazing. On the other hand, I wasn’t a fan of Frida, the Mexican restaurant, as it didn’t feel authentic at all.

We’ve never been comfortable leaving our daughter at a daycare, but the kids club here completely changed that. Fernanda was wonderful so kind and caring with our daughter, who loved spending time there. This gave my husband and me some much-needed alone time.

Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we would definitely come back!

Incredibly good experience, we would return. The only challenge at all is the crowds at dinner time. If you go during a busy time you can wait over an hour to eat dinner.

However on the plus side the staff are incredibly gracious, the facility is very nice, there's a lot of fun Hard Rock themed stuff, there are cool activities for the kids and for adults, and the entertainment team is top notch. It's just a great place to visit.

We had an excellent stay, the staff is very attentive, they went an extra mile always. Great for families with kids.
