The staff was excellent. The free breakfast was something I missed everyday except the last day. I wish I had eaten breakfast everyday.
My only complaint is that the bedside reading lamp in my room 214 did not work. In hindsight, I wish I had said something about this, because every night I had difficulty reading.

Under different circumstances I probably wouldn’t rate this a 5. But we were able get a room here on February 22 during the cartel activity that delayed our flight home. The staff were very kind the room was clean and the breakfast was included. We felt safe because we were put in an inside wall room.
The only negative was the sewer gas smell in the bathroom.
The place is unique being made from shipping containers.

The hotel advertises that they have a restaurant. Unfortunately, the restaurant was only open for breakfast! Unfortunately, you had to drive or take a taxi to find a restaurant because the hotel is in an area with very few amenities. The reception was great and the young man that worked behind the desk was excellent in finding us a way to get some food.

The staff were wonderful. The photos in the advertising were not a good depiction of the property today. it needs some renovation/repairs. Breakfast was a nice offering. When walking around the area, one does not feel the safest. I would not want my parents/children to walk there alone.

Great breakfast but no television - they moved us to a suite which was great as the room we first were in was tiny. The suite however also had a non- working television. Neighborhood was lacking any amenities however we did find a taqueria and a small local shop to buy some food. Don’t look for a great restaurant though.

My wife, me, and my son, three people but only two towels in the bathroom. One towel went on the floor for when you get out of the shower, the other towel was used for all three of us. No hand towel or floor towel. First day one small bar of soap. No bars of soap for the remainder of the days. My wife was the only female that I observed as a guest. Everyone else was construction workers that were staying there.

The room itself was ok. However, the elevator was broken for 3 days and I had a cast on my foot. We had to use the stairs. They upgraded our room to a bigger one on the 1st floor to help with the stairs. The hotel advertises \"free parking\", but there are only a dozen or so spots. Once the spots fill up, they block the cars in and you have to wait for the other people/cars to leave before you can get your car out. If you don't get there early enough, there is no place to park. Breakfast (such that it was) was the same as parking: limited tables that seem to fill up by 7:30.

Two many tripping hazards. Just within the room were three different levels. having the shower and bathtub right in the room with the bed was really weird. Check in was very slow. 3 people behind the desk and only one doing the work. Worst of all was the Water pressure. if two of us used the toilet we had to wait for a while before flushing the second time. The shower was ice cold and water in the sink wasn't even strong enough to clean my toothbrush off. How would the maids clean the room with ice cold water? The layout of the containers was nice and the people were friendly. Breakfast was just okay. Not as described in reviews. The man who took care of the breakfast was friendly.

Reconsider if you are a light sleeper

Do not stay here unless you are ok with noise coming from the parking a garage underneath. You can hear everything. From a motorcycle starting up to the vehicles sounding their horns. These containers are not insulated well enough so you can hear people walking and talking outside your door. Won’t be staying here again.

When getting Uber it was not a lot of parking area in the front of the building, high traffic area, the outside surrounding area looks scary. The customer service was excellent, free breakfast, a few free alcoholic drinks at 6pm. The room was a big kind size mattress in a small room which was okay as I did not plan on spending a lot of time in the room. Had to jump over the mattress or walk with my legs crossing to get to the other side. This place had good pillows and blankets, a lot of hotels have pillows that are to soft and thin or too big and hard these pillows were great I wanted to steal the pillow as well as the wool blanket because it was light weight but kept me warm. I miss the pillow.

Never book this place!!

We booked the room through Hotels.com and it said it slept 5 which it did. However, upon checkin, the person working at the hotel charged us an extra $85 since we had more than two people in the room. After arguing over an hour I was able to talk him down to $35 but the point was we booked it through Hotels.com and no where does it say that we would have to pay more upon checkin. I felt like the hotel was just trying to find ways to rip us off. They kept saying that the Hotels.com price was too low and that they needed to charge us more. Typical Mexico thing to do!

It was a new concept for me and I liked how the containers were put together. There were open spaces and a roof top deck. I felt safe in the area. The breakfast area met all my needs.
The staff were very friendly from the people who cleaned the rooms to the office staff. I was helped by the office to get taxis and for information of the local area. The hotel was clean and friendly.

Pretty nice place.

Interesting place with a variety of container configurations. Our unit was near the main street but the noise wasn’t too bad. Accommodations were comfortable and our only complaint was that the king size bed was almost as long as the container was wide so it only left a few inches to walk or scoot past the end of the bed.

We like all the staff working on the FRONT DESK like Elizabeth. all of them and forgot their names. Hector is good in the breakfast area. All breakfast are all almost the same every day but it is okay. Running out of hot water almost every day shower. Other than that, everything is good and will be back again. One thing is very noisy you can hear people walking and someone working during the night using power tools.

I was only there for one night on business; however, the price was only $55 USD through Expedia for an excellent stay! Comfortable king bed and pillow, clean, quiet room, unique building, friendly, professional bilingual staff, enjoyable Mexican breakfast included (Chilaquiles),Easy access to airport (I went by taxi for six dollars – – It was cool enough to walk but I have a bad knee). It’s a bit far from the center of things And might not be great for families, but for an affordable short stay for one or two people I would highly recommend the Container Hotel in Puerto Vallarta. (Also notable: I am female, traveling solo, and felt safe)
