A few things about this place. The food was bland and they need to have something different than hot dogs and hamburgers. It is in Mexico so tacos and taquitos or even quesadillas. The buffet was just ok. The restaurants offer foods that you can pay for too but they were not tasty either. The staff was amazing tho and everyone was so friendly and helpful. I wished I would have known about the bar at the top of the hotel before we left it was nice. get there early so you can get a cabana. Have to say that Adult only was pretty nice too.

Hotel was ok - needs updates badly - along with main floor pool. Pool on 7th floor was nice. Food was average but food temperature was awful… tepid at best…otherwise cold. Coffee was warm..except in the area that had cappuccino and coffee/snacks.
Staff was exceptional in all aspects. Always asking if you need anything and always cleaning.

Beware! I booked the honeymoon sweet for me and the new misses, when we arrived we where given our room key and taken to our room to be met with another couple in our room. Went back to main desk and was told someone gave them our room, but they are leaving tomorrow so we went from our honeymoon ocean view 980sq feet booking to a regular room with a street view and where told to come back tomorrow and they would fix it, came back the next day and was told our actual room would be ready by 4pm so had to wait for most of the day to get our actual room, when asked what would be done about this or reinbursed they told me there was nothing they could do because i booked through expedia and on there end the room difference was only a few dollars difference not hundreds of dollars as advertised when purchased, had to call for many thing in this room to get fixed or looked at like lights and fans. After the staff could tell i was anoyed after this mix up so seemed like they totally avoided us for the rest of the trip. Great honeymoon experience.

the room we had was ocean front and of course loved the view. the bathroom was a bit dated with narrow tubs and short shower heads, great if your under 5\"! the staff was great and there was souvenir shops within a block as well as a pharmacy like shop and a grocery store. 2 malls within a short walk as well as a walmart/sams club. sandy beaches for miles u can walk and beach activities to use/play

The room and view were beautiful, but we had some trouble checking in (key didn’t open room) then the next day we tried to make a dinner reservation, eventually the concierge said that we were in the wrong room (we were in the room on our check in papers), this issue stayed with us until we checked out. Not really bad, just odd.

Angel the bellman, and the front desk manager, female , glasses awesome attitude, made my overall experience. She held my hand literally to my room. I had expectations and upon arrival there was co fusion, the bellman took it upon himsepf to take prder and accommodate my request along with front desks help. I got a baller patio (3408) down side my ac wasnt pushing to be as cold as i would have liked it. Their tech was out for the evening , they pffered me another room but i didnt want to give up my patio. Lol so i asked for a fan and they got me 2 instead until the next day. Very kimd staff. I would return and even ask for the same room becuase of the view and space it had to offer.

Our ocean view was a bit of a distant view with other hotel units in front of us but we did still see the ocean. We ate at the buffet & burger snack bar most of the time-my husband didn’t like to put on long pants!! The breakfasts were the same each day but you could have an omelet made & there were enough items to switch it up. Seems the dinners revolved around a theme like Chinese or such-it was all pretty good.
I’ve always heard about subpar alcohol at all-inclusives. Unfortunately, this place followed suit. They specialized in their own “specialty” drinks however I found them to be way too sweet but very pretty as the mixes were heavily colored. The drinks were also weak-I had to request more alcohol. Only a couple of non-well alcohols if you wanted to make your own concoction. Ended up getting a bottle at a liquor store.
The housekeeping staff was superb-had clean towels & made bed every day.
Overall, I would recommend the resort.

Staff is amazing! Our room was not very clean, there were water rings on the jacuzzi from drinks from the prior guest. When showering, the shower would stop and you would have to wait for it to flow again. The worst part is we got food poisoning that lasted several days. Their pool side food court had a large pan of cooked hamburgers setting out and they would placed them in the grill to warm up a bit, not enough to melt the cheese. I should have known better than to eat one because I’m pretty sure that is what got us all sick. We came 8 years ago and it was much better then. Will not be come back.

The staff is the biggest asset to this resort. Front staff are incredible. Daniel who first greets you, Caesar who helped us every single day of our 28 day stay with reservations either on or off the resort. Portofino, Ivan, Antonia, Ricardo, Alonzo among the many bartenders and waiters who were so attentive. The front day needs to upgrade their system oxo as not to ignore the requests of returning guests ( some over twenty years).

4.5/5 Staff at CPG were outstanding. Always very helpful and courteous. Even during the events of 2/22‐2/24, they worked admirably. Rooms were well kept. There were only a few areas that could use some attention, but nothing was dirty or unsightly (the a/c in our room was a bit loud). The food was better than I thought it would be. The buffet always had enough variety that everyone in our group was satisfied. Location is good. We walked 10min to the marine terminal for our excursions. There is a pharmacy and a MedExpress of sorts just outside the resort. A taxi to Old Town is about 200 pesos. Even considering the events of 2/22-2/23, I would absolutely visit PV and stay at Crown Paradise Golden again.

The room was always clean- thank you Veronica! Our needs were met - thank you Daniel and staff. The bar and Breeze were always ready -great job to the staff. Special shout outs to Virginia, Carmela, Magdalena, Antonia, Ivan, Portifino, Luz and everyone else was awesome always making sure we were hydrated. Juan , Alfonzo, Oscar at the buffet always hustling managing to keep up with seating us making sure we have refills. We can’t forget Donna and Luiz at the omelette bar. Each and every one made us feel like family. We appreciate you all!

The Crown is such a great place. The staff are friendly, helpful and so gracious. They went above beyond during our last trip due to the cartel violence. They had to stay at the resort since the city was shut down and worked long hours but still made sure we were taken care and all our needs were met. Daniel was so great to work with. He did everything from taking our luggage to our room, checking us in for an additional night, to making change to helping us book an excursion with a taxi driver. And he is always willing to help with whatever anybody needs no matter how many people are asking him for something. He is like family and such a great person. He has agreat group of bell boys too.
Edith was our chamber maid and was spot on everday. Our room was clean and she provided everything we asked for. The head of the buffet and his crew deserve a big Thank You also for working so hard to get all the guests fed the whole time we were there. Especially during the shelter in place since it was the only restaurant open on the Golden side.
We can' t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay and all of the staff. They just make us feel so welcome and at home on the resort. We will be back next year.

1/5 – Overbooked, Unsanitary Conditions, Unprepared for Capacity

We booked a Suite Crown Plus category room (with either a partial view, sea view, or oceanfront — as confirmed by the receptionist at check-in). Based on the room tier and pricing, we expected an elevated experience. That was not what we received.

From the beginning, the resort appeared significantly overbooked and unprepared to handle the volume of guests.

Restaurant reservations opened daily and were fully booked within approximately three minutes. Despite attempting every day of our stay, we were unable to secure a single dinner reservation. At an all-inclusive resort, dining access should not feel competitive or unattainable.

The buffet experience was also disappointing. Food was frequently cold, quality was inconsistent, and overall it felt as though the resort was not adequately prepared to support the number of guests on property.

The property was severely overcrowded. Guests were lining up around 3:00 AM each morning just to secure pool seating, with lines forming daily. This level of overcapacity made it impossible to enjoy amenities that are advertised as included.

Room conditions were unacceptable for a suite-level booking:
•Dirty sheets upon arrival
•Mirrors covered in visible splatter and streaking
•Mold growing in blackout curtains
•Large hole in the balcony wall
•Broken, unstable bedside table
•Refrigerator barely cooling
•Toilet paper holders detaching from the wall

The room - even roadside - was actually great - good size, very clean, with good beds (although we did ask for an extra blanket, which was never provided). Cleaning staff were great - coming at different times, though, and we were in the room (ill), once. Overall, all staff were excellent. We did have significant concerns about the restaurant booking process - quite cumbersome, unnecessary, and every day with tables available but not booked (or bookable). Buffet food was - acceptable. Very few fresh whole fruits (only apples and bananas, on 1 day in 10, and no avocados). No guacamole on the menu, in any buffet or restaurant. Please remove the fake plants above the eating areas (buffet and beach bar) - gross and dusty and falling stuff into the food / tables. Hotel always full, but not enough beach chairs available. No signage available for the 7th floor pool / bar area. Paper maps of the area should be available. We did enjoy our stay and have recommended this resort.

Some of the staff members were courteous. The facility is really run down. We had problems with the shower faucet falling off into bathtub. Supposedly they fixed it but it still continued to fall off. The refrigerator did not work. They replaced it and it still did not work. They had to replace it again and it finally worked. The buffet food was the same with little variety from day to day. A majority of the buffet food was cold. The food was good in the restaurants located within the resort.

I’m not usually one to make a negative review, however, I would hate for someone to be dissapointed like we were. Our first ever all inclusive experience, and we are not picky/fancy people…however this stay was NOT worth the price tag.
The food was consistently disappointing, always cold and extremely bland. We even made it into a game to try every dessert to see if any tasted even slightly different or slightly better than the last. They must have all been made at the same very mediocre factory. The drinks were also extremely mediocre and inconsistently made. I had one amazing Paloma, but other than that the drinks were generic and either very strong or very weak.

The staff at the front reception were not welcoming at all. Upon our arrival we were given a bracelet and a confusing map, and left to fend for ourselves.

Our room wasn't ready for check-in for several hours. We paid for a room to check-in on time. We also had to wait in the check-in line three different times to check if our room was available. You aren't able to book a reservation for dinner the first day, so you have to eat at the buffet regardless and it was not good. Our room was dirty and not cleaned around the toilet. There were issues throughout the hotel like broken things down the halls, etc. There was a very drunk person who fell which is due to the bartender over serving. The buffet for lunch had foods that were more for a dinner buffet, which were really heavy items. I was looking for more traditional mexican cuisine and it was not that. All of the meat I tried was fatty and chewy, not good quality. The AC in the room did not work very well. Had to use both fans on full blast to be comfortable.

We loved our view of the pool and beach...gorgeous! Room always seemed just a little dirty. We didn't have hot water until day 3; staff didn't seem concerned when we discussed it with them. Towels...no bath math/towel, hand towels or wash cloths; had to ask concierge every other day. Food was good but entrées were never hot; just warm at best. Order omelets for breakfast...very good! Wait staff was always AMAZING! The bartenders were prompt and friendly! The pool entertainment crew were funnn! Very nice beach area! Plenty of boats and yachts to view and cruise ships come in every couple of days. IDK if I would return to this specific resort but would definitely return to Puerto Vallarta.

Room was clean with a good ocean view. AC was good enough (read in reviews that others had problems with AC in rooms but ours was fine). Food was mostly good. Bbq in the buffet restaurant every day. Salads, veggies and fruits were plentiful and varied. Liked the fact that there was a minimum of theme nights at hotel, assuming that’s because it’s adults only! Really enjoyed no screaming kids! Did not attend any of the entertainment in the evening nor did we visit the à la carte restaurants in resort.

All the staff on the resort were very nice. The buffet was quick to be seated never had to wait. The food was usually the same, sometimes left over options from the other restaurants. Main pool was heated which was nice, never full. Chairs were usually all reserved by 7 am. The roof top pool was very cold and usually crowded with people just taking pool pictures or pictures of the view. The rooms were a bit dated but I did see they were updating the furniture in rooms daily. The housekeeping of the rooms were subpar, they usually did a quick clean. Bar service was great they were fast and always serviced the pool area.

When I complained about the noise, they did nothing, and they didn’t even have earplugs. The motel six by the airport has earplugs.

Thankfully, the spa was amazing and I highly recommend going there.

The room was in physical decline ! We had trouble with communication from the time of our arrival. Ceiling in bathroom was leaking! Front door had large gap, privacy was compromised. Toilet was stopped up. When addressed with the front desk. Little to no action was taken. We left the property early, due to these and other problems, I believe that the pictures on your website are misleading and a false representation of this property. Please have a customer service individual contact me : 602-390-7368, at their earliest opportunity. I couldn't even stand completely up in the bathtub-shower. Beach was nice; property old and in need of service.

Room was old and battered. No handles on some drawers. Overhead light would flash at one setting rather than stay lit. One lamp was crooked. The door to the patio was hard and noisy to open. Bathroom had a very old fashioned short toilet. No place to hang bathing suits to dry. On high setting, the hair dryer smelled like it was burning. Sink leaked and took 3 days to fix. CNN was the only English speaking TV station. Roku and Firestick would not connect. Staff and buffet were great. Pool had insufficient seating and umbrellas. Jacuzzi jets did not operate. Onsite restaurants were mediocre. Eighty percent geriatric crowd.

Thw oceanfront room was great.
to go to the beach or pool, you had to put towels on the shaded beds & chairs before 7 am- often beds sat empty for hours.
Food was mediocre at best. could inky make reservations from 9 to 12 for restaurants but usually booked by 9:05 am.
lots of choice of drinks.
staff service was great.
they tried to charge $1000 pesos extra on checkout with no invoice, explanation or notification.
