Upon check in we were kind of underwhelmed. The hotel is dated - the rooms are dated but clean. After further inspection - we realized the grounds were beautiful and well maintained. First we went to the bar to get a reposado shot. Unfortunately they didn’t have any. And we soon realized that the bar was quite under stocked. But they were so willing to bring in almost anything that we required. Then we went for dinner at the buffet - the food was just okay. But once we realized you could order almost anything and they would accommodate as best they could - we thoroughly enjoyed. We spent two weeks - all inclusive at this resort. During this time we fell in love with the area - the staff - the grounds - everything. We honestly will return often. During our time here we felt a part of a family. We were treated amazing!! We would like to mention some of the service staff who made our vacation exceptional - Misael our favorite mixologist!!! Jonathon, Caesar, Carlos the most attentive servers. The omelette lady was outstanding everyday!! If we had one negative - it would be nice to have a small fridge in our room - apparently some rooms do. The pool temperature was perfect everyday and well maintained. The shuttle to the beach was a nice added feature. We highly this affordable hotel.

The location is keeping this place a float. Right on the marina, so pretty, the pool area and garden are very nice and the lobby has old classoc mexican charm. The kitchen didnt have all the ingredients for the items on the menu, and you habe to go to the lobby to pay for drinks at the pool bar. No wifi in rooms, or coffee, or a fridge. The staff was rude when we left because we took our manatory braclets off ourselves the morning we checked out, and they all have different instructions for towel distribution at the pool. The gym pictured doesnt exist, there is no gym. We stayed 2 nights as we had an event all day, easy for us, wouldnt stay for a vacation.

In the main staff were friendly especially Ruby the coffee lady and the facilities were fine just badly in need of an upgrade (especially the rooms). The room was always kept clean with friendly staff. The grounds were nice and clean. The pool was very clean, only issue was lack of loungers. The restaurant food was border line at best, service was very slow.
The bar was atrocious no good alcohol, almost seemed when you would walk up , the bar tender would leave. Ran out of vodka, didn’t have any for 4 days.

Hotel is clean but tired. It needs some TLC. If you want a bed its ok but for a longer stay its lacking. No fridge, coffee maker,anything. As always the staff were wonderful. The restaurant was actually quite bad. Only one, expensive and food was not good. Little to no vàriety and mostly dried out pasta .

Rooms and property are a little dated. Wi-if does not work in rooms. Was fine for two nights but would not want to stay longer. Limited loungers around pool and appears you can leave a towel early in the AM and not be there all day to claim a chair. The music playing out of the bar and around property is awful. The area is decent and there are lots of fun restaurants in the marina. Close to PVR airport

Most staff were wonderful, but they were working with garbage! The towels were stained and falling apart. The resort needs a lot of TLC, like a toilet seat in the women’s bathroom in the lobby. Food in the all inclusive was poor quality with little variety. The bar ran out of beer, white wine and their version of Bailies. There was no orange juice or cappuccino unless you purchased it separately, for far too much. Too bad such a lovely place is so poorly run. We won’t be back!

Reserved King bed and was not available only 2 double beds. Room was very clean but hasn't been remodeled in years. Luke warm shower any time of day and hot water handle came off in my hand. Lots of imperfections in room and shower tile. AC mini split worked but no swing mode. TV would only get 1 channel.

This is a great location to enjoy all the Marina has to offer. The grounds, pool, rooms, restaurant, and especially the staff are all fantastic. The chilaquiles for breakfast were really good! I was very satisfied with this hotel, it is exactly as it appears in the listing.

Pros: Excellent location and beautiful colonial-style grounds and landscaping. Quiet, peaceful, no noisy kids or families. A/C works wonderfully and beds are comfy, if you like soft beds. Great views from any room. Very good housekeeping and staff service. Free bottled water restocked daily in room.

Cons: Even deluxe room felt dated. Shower pressure is nonexistent and hot water takes a long time to heat up, Bathroom had an extremely off-putting smell and shower window didn’t properly close. Lack of towel hooks. Bathroom needs serious work all in all.

We recently stayed here and overall had a decent experience.
Check-in went smoothly, and the staff were helpful and courteous throughout our stay — we really appreciated the friendly service.
The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. However, there were no hand towels or face cloths provided. The rooms are starting to look a little tired and could use some TLC and updating.
The location is excellent and definitely one of the highlights of this property.
We chose not to eat at the buffet. The food was uncovered and there were quite a few flies around, including on the chicken, which made us uncomfortable.
With some updates to the rooms and improved food safety practices, this hotel could be a much stronger option in a great location.

The grounds were very pretty.
The room was old, stinky. The couch was stained nothing left of the cushions. You could almost see through the linens they were so old. Bad odour coming from the bathroom drain. Only five hangers in the closet. No where to put our clothes. Drinks at the bar were terrible. Glad we didn’t have the all inclusive. Heard bad things about the food. Never again.

Hello, we did enjoy our stay, thank-you. The staff was most courteous and helpful. There were a couple of concerns, however, when we arrived it was late in the afternoon, most likely the housekeeping staff was gone for the day. The floor in our room was not clean, as there were crumbs and hairs visible. We went out for a couple of hours, returned, and the floor was the same, so I took care of it myself..... Also, there was a fairly strong odour of mildew in the room, perhaps because the shower head was leaky, and the room was always wet. These sorts of things seem like they are preventable to me.... To end on a positive note, however, the Flamingo Hotel is very beautiful, and the location was very convenient, and the bedding was of a good quality... Thanks again.

Bugs in the beds. No instructions for the air conditioner or TV. Only two working electrical outlets. The walls were thin enough to hear our neighbors talking. Towels are old and ratty. The dresser drawers were very loud when pulling them out. The hotel staff were fine.

Yes, the large room was clean and i found the mattress comfortable but lacking soap, only one little bar, no hand towel. Beautiful property! And great location!

It was difficult to get a poolside lounge chair, some without cushions! Place was dirty. Nice gardens though. Had to wait until 4 pm to get a room, and out at 11. Had to change rooms - first one was impossible. Bed mattress was very old and gave me a back ache for days. Most of staff were helpful, especially Pedro who changed our room, but the TV there never worked either. Great location in the Marina. The storage areas in room were nailed shut. Why? Pool is small. There was something in the pool that looked odd and some sort of wire hanging out in pool, but staff maintenance had it fixed. We had to let maintenance staff know a few times about the odd floaties in the pool.

Breakfast was okay. Lunches and suppers not. They continually ran out of white wine and at times red.
The drinks from the bar were very watered down.

Tv didn’t work in our room, only watched minimal. Cleaning staff were fine, they tried to accommodate.

On a different note, staff tried hard to please.
This is a management t issue, not the staff.

This is not a 4 star.

Staff worked hard and this review feels like \"punching down\" but if 1 person avoids here (or better yet, management changes things as a result so people don't have to avoid), it's worth it.
Not enough cooking staff to distribute food (ex: burgers were served by only 1 person to guests 1 at a time, same chef put fixings on each burger 1 at a time, then after all 13 people had a burger, then that same chef took plates 1 by 1 and put other food on the plates). So inefficient!!! Meal times took far too long and often were 15-30 minutes late starting to begin with. Too often, no one behind the bar to serve during the day until 3-4 people were lined up waiting.
Absolutely ZERO soundproofing in the hotel rooms; you WILL be woken up at 6:00 am whether you want to or not by just normal volume conversation. Regular volume discussions by the pool area feel like they're broadcast directly into your room.
Gym is unusable regardless of what their ad says. Extra room keys are unavailable.

Room is ok (a/c works, bathroom and bed are fine) and you won't starve, though not once did we finish a meal and say, \"wow, that was delicious!\" The pool area is good enough; don't have to get up at 6:00 am for a chair, although we could've as we were awake. Marina area and the restaurants around are great (we used them often to avoid the disappointment of the hotel restaurant).
It's a 3ish star so expectations should be low, but they shouldn't have to be a tripping hazard in hell. Very disappointed!

Clean hotel, front desk Rubí was very helpful and courteous, Ruby the girl selling coffee in a cart next to the restaurant was a sunshine and a great employee, offering coffee and pastries in the morning.. this hotel feels like home to me. Mind you the pool could be warmed up.

The room was extremely unclean. The blankets had visible yellow stains, the floors were dirty, and small bugs were crawling on the walls.

Food: 2/10
The food quality was very poor. The meals resembled institutional food in both taste and appearance. Pasta served at lunch was re-served at dinner, spoiled, and had a strong odor. The only exception was breakfast, which was surprisingly decent.

Amenities: 1/10
The room was extremely bare-bones. While the air conditioning functioned, there was no mini fridge, no coffee maker, and no sense of comfort or convenience.

Room Security: 1/10
Room security was a serious concern. There was a large gap in the door frame that appeared wide enough for someone to easily force entry using a plastic card, which did not provide peace of mind during our stay.

Cost: 1/10
At $290 USD per night for a family of four under an “all-inclusive” package, the value was extremely disappointing. Alcohol was served in very small glasses, making the “all-you-can-drink” claim misleading—unless you enjoy two sips at a time, infrequently served.

Final Thoughts
This review is not intended to be harsh, but rather an honest account to help future guests manage their expectations. Ours were already set low, yet Flamingo Vallarta still failed to deliver.

This hotel is rated as 4 stars but it’s a 2.5 at best. Threadbare towels, water in sink sputters and shoots out soaking you each time, shower head and water supply are also poor and the shower curtain is too short and flimsy so the floor and bath mat get soaked. There’s only one bar and the pool is small. The proximity to the marina area is nice. We wouldn’t stay there again.

A man started calling me names because i sat in a seat and an hour later he told me it was his seat. There needs to be staff that manages the seating or a large sign thats says \"no reserving seats\"
