Very very nice staff very polite. Clean room, nice beach front resort, very clean garden, clean pool. The only downside was as my husband and I walked in, we were tricked, I mean side tracked into thinking that the lady that was in front of hotel with bellboy was actually checking us in and she mentioned she was going to tell us about the amenities of the resort. And bang! We fell into the 90 minutes conversation about buying into the Sheraton timeshare. We told them we weren’t interested after talking to 6!!! Six different people. That’s a little too much. I felt my vacation drifting away. Then we had to talk to another person in regards to rebound transfer to airport next day and then she starts telling us about another buying option, then we did a tour that was given to us for the 90 minute timeshare and there again another person approached about a new resort. Basically as soon as we got off the airplane, people shouting out to go with them, so overwhelmed with all of that. But the actual over all stay and staff at the Sheraton, bartenders, cleaning lady, extremely satisfied. I would just recommend, that the resort be mindful that some people just want to vacation. We were tired, and to still have to talk to people. That was not what I was looking for on my vacation. I must say they did give us a good price on tour, Los arcos. And 2 complementary massage at spa, which Evelyn and I can’t remember the other lady’s name. But they were great. Nice Spa but expensive!!!

Pros: Every staff was amazing except two which we spoke to the on duty Manager about and he apologized and sent us champagne and food and treats to our room.
Pools are perfect, restaurants are great food and presentation of food is on par.
Rooms are updated and beautiful and they always stock fresh bottles of water for drinking.
Cons: Two staff members were awful in treating us as guests, one scolded me for buying another suitcase and the other one said because I wasn’t a single parent I wouldn’t be buying a time share when in actually my plan was to buy one because I enjoyed the resort so much.

There was a paint or solvent smell in our room for a few days. We had to open the windows instead of using air conditioning.

We asked the front desk about it but they could only move us to a ground floor room. We wanted to keep the view so we stayed.

I also called and emailed the Tennis Office several times but no answer.

The hotel was in decent condition. I would have expected more for the price of the hotel. It was very frustrating that every restaurant kept telling us that they were full and no reservations were available and it was not true. Every restaurant was almost empty but they kept rejecting us. We have stayed in Puerto Vallarta and I would recommend other hotels more than this one. The spa was very nice and some staff were very friendly.

Beautiful resort hotel. Convenient location - 15 minutes walk to the Malecón boardwalk. If you don’t want a timeshare presentation, don’t sign up for any free things offered after you check in. We did not do all inclusive. Often took Uber to restaurants. Enjoyed the quiet pool, ocean view and sunsets from a nice room, comfortable king bed.

We preferred the “time share” pool to the hotel pool because it was a little quieter than the hotel pool. From about noon on, the music at the hotel pool was unnecessarily loud.

The mattress on our bed was well past its prime and our pillows should have been tossed years ago.

Worst part of our stay was the aggressive time share sales tactics. We were not even out of our cab when it began. People masquerading as helpful staff were in fact trying to get you into a time share presentation. This experience practically ruined our first couple of days at the hotel. I felt suspicious of the friendly staff for fear I was about to be pitched some other service. It was extremely off-putting.

The location is good and the staff we encountered at breakfast and the pool were truly lovely.

Mother and teen son trip in Nov 2025 for five nights. We had the all inclusive option which was well worth the few hundred dollars extra we paid when booking a package.

The location is very nice to walk to and around PVR. We really enjoyed running to town in the mornings and walking around town in the evenings.

We loved our room on the main floor. It was spacious, convenient and quiet with a nice outdoor patio (no privacy from people walking by but that didn’t bother us).

The quiet pool was absolutely beautiful. It’s large with a bridge to a large island in the middle that has a huge hot tub surrounded by plants. It made the resort very special.

The drinks are amazing but we were very disappointed with the food. The buffet is okay for breakfast but no bacon during our entire stay. It has a very poor selection for lunch and you are much better off ordering from the small but good pool menu, which is a very nice service to have. Dinners were also mediocre at the buffet. We tried the Mexican restaurant one night and it was very fancy Mexican with small portions and incredibly slow service. It also doesn’t have a typical Mexican atmosphere and no fajitas, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, etc. By far the most outstanding meal was the outdoor fiesta night, with an extensive buffet that had an incredible range of amazing options.

The gym is very nice and well equipped. We did not try the spa.

The beach is very disappointing and we saw no one on it our entire stay.

Location is good in terms of airport proximity, I am not sure that I would stay here again though due to the load music. I stayed on the 13th floor with a terrace and nightly there was music that I could feel the bass playing with noise cancelling headphones, it was a bit extreme to say the least. There was a night where it played until 1am. My hotel in Vegas was quieter. I am all for music but let’s be reasonable with the hours of the night please. If you find a good deal and don’t care about sleep this place is for you.

Rolando and Carlos were awesome! Friendly, and made great drinks. The restaurants that you had to reserve were a little disappointing. All inclusive except for the menu items that had stars next them which was almost the entire menu besides tacos. Food was delicious tho at least. Room was awesome, pools and areas were beautiful. Pros: great restaurants, friendly staff, amazing views, lobby bar fun and staff super welcoming. Very central location
Pool and swim up bar are fun. Nice design private outdoor jacuzzi tub in the center of rock fountain. Beautifullly placed in middle poo with fun cascades.

Cons: inconsistent quality /standard some rooms need maintenance: room 1920 and 1715 mattress lack support, sunken, old creaky frame, shower head not working room 1920.

A suggestion for public washrooms would be useful to post signs near sink for people not to rinse and wash their feet as the sand can clog the drains. Despite the shower faucets outside I noticed some people doing and I was concerned.

I'd like to report an unpleasant incident from members of the Club Bonvoy. My husband and I had our towels on the beach loungers neat buffet entrance. He went back to the room to get something and i went to the beach to take photos of the beautiful scenery just to come back to our lounger occupied by two strangers and our bag and towels tossed over on the first umbrella lounger . My water bottle was still on the chair as well. I pointed this out to the couple and the guy rudely told me \"well youre over there now\" That is extremely rude . We never had anyone be so disrespectful in any other resort. We can't even feel comfortable going to thw bathroom in fear someone would \"steal \" our spot and toss our belongings.

My mother, sister and I enjoyed our time here and highly recommend your stay here. I appreciate no one harassing us about timeshares. That is one thing I can't stand when traveling. Punta Sal had the best food hands down.

Upon arrival starting with the checkin process the staff was friendly and cheerful. After checking in and arriving to the room I was surprised and impressed. Very nice room large, comfortable, and very relaxing while we were in the room. Any staff we met always greeted with a smile and willing to help. Even had staff willing a helping teach us spanish. This experience and vacation was way above what I was expecting and I would highly reccomend this resort.

The resort is top notch. Wife & I enjoyed our stay and we would return in the future. The only buzz kill was after checking in. The lady pointed to towards another lady that said would assist us moving forward and offered us a drink. Afyer that, annyoying as heck, as they kept trying to do tje whole sales pitch to upgrade and do all inclusive etc. Bit annoying but after getting thru that and letting them know that we plan on exploring the town and eating where the locals eat, we were good. I did a mother-daughter trip & we did an all-inclusive. However, they have the option of non-inclusive as well.

-beautiful resort
-Several restaurants on the property, we are vegetarian so we could eat at 2 of the 3 restaurants. Italian restaurant is open only on Mon & Sat :(
-went during off-peak season so good service
-good and attentive staff
-nice fitness center
-Good program schedule for activities such as stretching in the morning, pool activities etc

-The toilet in our room leaked. However, they switched the room
-The fridge did not work so they switched the fridge
-Coffee machine is a bit tricky to utilize
-iguana came out of the main pool....yikes...I was petrified
-recommend a few vegetarian lunch and dinner options

I don't know how they're a part of such a prestigious organisation (Marriot). Terrible service overall, complacent staff and non-existent hospitality culture with greed for tips and no actual service. Never going back here.
Also be careful of the ladies near the reception, masquerading as hotel employees, trying to hard sell you a bunch of useless services and wasting your time.

If you order food near the pool, do not get the pizza or the hamburger. Order the buffalo hot wings, nachos, guacamole, or quesadillas. We’ll definitely be revisiting.
