View from room was terrible (overlooking a roof in front of hotel). The pool was very busy & teenage kids jumping in. Not able to get a reservation at Italian restaurant. Margarita drinks were too sweet. Beer was good.

Staff were all very helpful. Pool was maintained daily.

Food was the worst that I’ve ever had. I just arrived and made it to dinner, dinner was a mix of breakfast cereal and some pastas and salads. From the living room, all I hear are the doors slamming when someone closes their door. The noise is fine everywhere else in the suite. The couches and tables are a bit run down. One bathroom smelled bad.

The one thing I did like was the walk from the counter check in to the room is nice with all the trees and plants.

Since I already checked in, I cant cancel my reservation. I will not stay here again.

Cleaning staff was terrible. They took our towels and never replaced them. We always had to phone down for fresh ones. Never ever replaced our bottled water in our room, we had to buy it. The furniture was broken, couch you couldn’t sit on, afraid it would collapse, drawers in bedroom wouldn’t open up. Pillows were lumpy. Are floors weren’t swept. Toilet seats were awful, didn’t fit properly, they pinched your ass every time. The waiters and waitresses were the only good thing.

The hotel room was modestly decorated, but was clean and spacious. The view was magnificent. The staff was great. The only thing we didn’t like was the all-inclusive situation. We were forced to wear a bright pink wristband, and they wouldn’t let us on the property if we didn’t have it. The only food that was available all day was a small snack bar and everything looked barely edible. The breakfast didn’t look too good and we were never around for the other scheduled meal times so I can’t review that.

Travelled here from Canada, 1 week with family of 5. 3 kids.
If you don’t speak Spanish, this resort is not for you!! Got a great deal, but you also get what you pay for . I mean the staff and grounds are good..
What we did like:
It was quiet , great view of ocean and canal with crocodile, 2 bed and 2 bath room, worked well for us. Also 10 min from melocone, so that was handy.
What we didn’t like:
This is definitely a 3 star, low budget resort, small low key. Breakfast was ok, you can’t mess up eggs, but the lunch and dinner was not good. Stained towels and furniture kinda deal. So I think the communication was the hardest for us. We won’t be back , that’s for sure

This property was very dirty, and no staff to clean things up. I have never been more disgusted with food in a resort.. i am not general picky. But could you server food hot? I am not exaggerating when i say the food in the bufett was cold right out of a fridge. Any complaint was met with ignorance or just plain pretend to not understand you. Never again, and we have stayed here many times over the years.

This was very unorganized for starter , only three people in the whole resort spoke any English and it was hard to understand, there was one fantastic waiter named Jesus very helpful and polite and try to make us feel comfortable, when we tried to ask for different thing no one understood us , the toilet broke on the second last day and they did nothing about it , very poor recommendation to this resort .

We only stayed one night so we didn't have a chance to experience too much of the property. The room was fairly clean but a bit dated. There were no towels in our room and had to ask twice to get some. The sink and shower drains were backed up.

Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet food was pretty good, especially compared to other similar places we have stayed. I have to say that I did find a hair in some of my food but the staff was apologetic about it.

Overall it was a mixed experience but I wouldn't rule out staying there again. It wasn't an expensive place to stay so I wasn't expecting luxury.

Comfortable and relaxing.

Went for a few days with my wife and 2 daughters. Staff were amazing, especially the manager Gabriel, server Inez and bartender Jesus. Suite was roomy and comfortable, and having 2 bathrooms was great.

Este Hotel no se lo recomendaría a las personas por la siguiente razones. 1. El hotel está lejos del malecón en carro aproximadamente 10 minutos. 2. La comida en el restaurante es de mala calidad y no tiene muchas opciones de comida. Este es un Hotel todo incluido, pero las opciones no son muy variadas. Las bebidas alcohólicas en el Hotel son de mala calidad. No tienen muchas opciones y no tienen sabor. Al igual que las opciones de cerveza solamente tienen dos opciones. La comida en el restaurante es de mala calidad y no tiene muchas opciones de comida. Este es un Hotel todo incluido, pero las opciones no son muy variadas. El personal muy amable y la limpieza está bien.

Upon arrival hotel was not as it looked in pictures very rundown. Front desk staff was not friendly. Walk way to room was nice. Pool was very simple. Beach area was nothing great and too many rocks which is common in that area. Food was horrible but breakfast buffet was decent if you arrive early. We stuck with 2 specific servers because they were friendly and attentive other staff not so much. Rooms where not great, need extra set on pillows, blanket, and towels.

Disappointing Stay: A Review of Costa Club Punta Arena in Puerto Vallarta

I had a very disappointing stay at Costa Club Punta Arena in Puerto Vallarta. Despite booking a room with a king-size bed, we were initially given a room with a double bed due to unavailability. The air conditioning in the room was also not working, which prompted us to request a new room. Although we were relocated, the hot water in the shower was not functioning. Despite multiple complaints to the reception, the issue was not resolved promptly.

The resort's dining experience was also subpar. While the meals were acceptable, the dining area was constantly plagued by pigeons and other birds, leading to feathers, dust, and bird droppings being blown around. This unsanitary condition resulted in both my partner and me suffering from diarrhea, which we attribute to the contamination from the birds.

Furthermore, the customer service at the resort was lacking. We felt unwelcome and were made to feel as though the issues we experienced were our fault. Overall, I cannot recommend Costa Club Punta Arena to anyone based on my experience.

Esta es mi segunda vez aquí y debo decir que debes comprar sábanas ajustables para las camas tamaño king y tener un área que limite a los niños. Incluso en la piscina encima del restaurante italiano había tantos niños que no había ningún lugar tranquilo para disfrutar del sol.

This property is disgustingly filthy. The windows in our room were cracked with tape on them. The couches were stained with God knows what the globe was busted on the ceiling fan with wires hanging out. We reported this to expedia and of course, they come back and say it's on the resort and the resort says they won't refund because of policy. But Expedia is the one advertising on their website and it is not what they advertise. We even sent pictures of the broken windows and the filth and the stained couches too Expedia, and they are still trying to push off on the resort. And not refund me. We had to leave after the first night because of conditions and had to scramble last minute to find a place to stay the next 20 days. After sending pictures to Expedia, the guy on the phone even stated that we need to be moved immediately because it is a safety issue and Expedia is still refusing to refund..We tried to speak to the hotel about everything and they acted like they didn't know what we were talking about and got no help. They were very rude. BE AWARE, STAY AWAY. Also, the view from our window on one side was a field full of trash and transients. You could not eat the food, it had been sitting all day, even the breakfast first thing was cold and not edible. The bird poop is all over the tables and in the restaurant.

This is a hotel that caters to Mexican families. Keep that it mind when booking. Definitely not the place for young couples! The staff is friendly but has limited knowledge of English so it would be good to know a little bit of basic Spanish if you plan on staying here. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the A/C worked great. The food was good (not gourmet) and the drinks were good as well. My only complaint was that there was very little hot water pressure (at least in our room).

i had booked 3 rooms for 5 nights for myself and two young adult children. We checked out after the first night. The deal-breaker was that there was no wifi in the rooms. I work remotely and this was a study break week for my children. How can a hotel in this day and age not provide wifi in the rooms? I booked with Expedia and have filed a complaint as the website should have made it abundantly clear about the lack of wifi. This is very misleading marketing. I am seeking a full refund.

Other observations. The pool is small and more suited to toddlers. Not adults. The food selection at the buffet was terrible. All slop-type food. And we were informed that they served the same selection daily.

The resorts beach is full of rocks, the dining options are very limited and there he food is horrible. The hot water in the room only lasted 3-5 minutes and on the last day there was no water at all. I would not recommend or stay here ever again. Crowded and lots of kids. Don’t waste the money and I will ish there were negative stars to give. Even if a free stay was offered. I would have to decline.

The clientele are mostly Latino families with kids. There are 3 different areas that have music playing all day long. If you want quiet, ask for a room in the back. They have a nice section of beach with lounge chairs and umbrellas. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The only place for wifi was by the front lobby near the street. The street noise was loud. There was a large super market next door if you needed anything.

Had to pay for lost paper for the towel ($250 Mex dollar), but I had returned the towel. The aircon had some water leaking, but got fixed asap.

Called front desk for assistance and front desk hung up phone before I could finish. Television in bedroom: Video worked bud audio was lagging, could not hear what was being displayed. Terrible hotel! Air con worked on occasion, the housekeeper knocked on door even though do mot disturb sign was up, hot water was limited to 5 minutes!!! They also play music all day long so if u need to rest, go elsewhere! Just go elsewhere!! This hotel is like a motel six with a staff who doesnt give two cents!!!!
