Several return travelers we met here had one word to describe it: consistent. The resort is consistently high-quality, the staff are friendly, the food delicious, and the rooms clean. Our experience was the same. Our family of 4 stayed comfortably in 1 room and enjoyed watching for whales from our ocean-view room. When we'd go to breakfast, Felipe knew our kids wanted his special chocolate milk with cinnamon. He also served at the cevicheria, which we ate at every single lunch because the menu was so good and the view of the water was mesmerizing. We set up for the day in the sand under the palm trees and relaxed while staff attended to us. The beach in front of the hotel has soft sand, and the water was clear and a beautiful blue-green. The waves were perfect for bodysurfing! We did not use the spa or gym, but we did get the Club access, which we highly recommend for adults. It gave access to a private rooftop deck bar with top-notch drinks, another rooftop pool and bar with the only hot tubs on the property, and a Mediterranean restaurant. What drew us here in the first place was its design; they've refreshed rooms and added features that make the place look and feel special. It is a smaller resort than ones we've been to in other locations, with one large pool. It had a small playset for little kids, and we saw a kids' club room. The only thing I wished for was that my teens had a hangout spot to meet friends.

We had a wonderful stay! The staff was courteous and attentive throughout our visit, and the view from our room was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were very clean and well maintained, which made our stay even more comfortable.

We decided to pay for the club upgrade, and it was well worth it. The 21+ pool area was a great perk, along with improved dining seating options and access to an additional bar. It definitely elevated the overall experience.

The only downside was that the adults-only pool could get crowded at times and didn’t always have enough space to accommodate everyone. Expanding that area would make the experience even better.

Overall, a fantastic stay that we would happily recommend!

We loved our stay at Fiesta Americana Resort & Spa in Puerto Vallarta. What made our stay great was the amazing wonderful staff! Our room was kept clean & well stocked by our housekeeper Amin. The Chefs Tapia and Hector made sure my Celiac disease requiring Gluten free options were prepared and I could pre order. Davide & Jorge made activities & time around the pool fun! Mario at reception made our stay & room move to accommodate my daughter’s visit an easy smooth transition. Bus boy Martine was great friendly & very helpful helped us with all our questions to travel from resort. Jacinto made sure when we left resort & returned it was carefully noted. The main buffet service was exceptional Darcy, Rosalio, Pauline, Majo, Chrystian all provided us with great friendly love just like family. Seafood house service by Veronica & Marlaina was great. Maintenance worker Mauricio replaced our room safe motor when it quit working & would not open he was wonderful. Our morning coffee was brought to our room daily by Alfredo. Yolissa at Italian restaurant made sure my food was gluten free and Madel & Patricia in the Deli were extra special. All in all we were treated like family restrooms were kept clean pool service from Yonni was exceptional the food was delicious from Italian, Snack bar, Mexican, Buffet, Seafood & Asian and we had a good view of Banderas Bay. We hope to travel back next year! Thank you to all staff at Fiesta Americano!

Great size hotel, big enough but don’t have to walk miles to get from room to facilities. 90% of rooms have ocean/sunset view. Would have preferred a buffet available for lunch and dinner, not just breakfast. Sometimes a quick lunch is necessary or a dinner without a reservation. Need more seating options around the pool, more umbrellas and maybe not solely loungers. The music turned on at the pool at 8 am is way too loud, should be more muted until noon. Would have liked more specialty nights, only had one Mexican night the day we arrived and then an Italian buffet one night that was not advertised, we didn’t know about it until it started. Entertainment was good. Restaurant food was excellent. Nothing was marked with allergies on menus so that was difficult but staff mostly were able to answer questions on gluten.

We were very impressed by relaxing vibe at this resort! We loved the beautiful lobby and the friendly staff at check-in. The pool area was beautiful and all the restaurants had beautiful views and great food. We enjoyed the cleanliness of the pool area. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. All the restaurants had plenty of delicious options. The breakfast was amazing and we loved the made to order omelettes and fresh fruit. The staff were so welcoming and nice too. We will be back!

Our experience at Hotel Fiesta Americana was excellent from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, every single person made us feel truly special.

I would especially like to recognize Housekeeping for going the extra mile and creating a beautiful birthday setup in our room to celebrate my husband’s birthday. It was such a thoughtful and meaningful touch.

In the adults-only area, Nacho and Rafa were always incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful. And the dinner prepared by Victor Reina was absolutely amazing—it truly made the evening a unique and unforgettable moment.

Thank you all for such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be returning.

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta was the prettiest resort in the area and the location was great. The food was amazing, especially at La Cevicheria and the breakfast buffet. The service at the restaurants and standard pool areas was also very good, the workers were very nice. Our view from our room was beautiful and there’s flowers planted in front of most of the balconies.

Unfortunately, the VIP service was terrible and not worth the extra money we spent. To gain access to most of the facilities (adult pool & hot tub, beach bar), you need to be of Fiesta Club status. However, the VIP service, especially at the adult pool and our personal concierge, ruined our experience. The adult pool only had two waiters and they would forget our orders everyday and would come back half an hour later asking what we ordered again and then would just give us the wrong drinks. We made sure to tip them a lot everyday as well, but this still happened. When you first check into the hotel, they assign you a concierge that forces you to walk around with them for an hour. They knew that we just got back from traveling all day and we were tired, we asked if we could please go to our room and at least change and take off our backpacks but they still forced us to walk with them. One person in our party is disabled and the walk ruined his mobility and experience for the entire trip because the concierge walked too fast and made him take the stairs instead of using the ramps.

Don’t get VIP.

We travel a lots, but this was a worst trip ever. The resort is outdated. The rooms are small. We stayed on the club level, but so disappointed.
The food is worst. We got there around 6pm, couldn’t eat at any restaurants since they were all booked. So they told us to eat at the buffet. We were so shocked when we got to there. It’s a pool eating place. There was a rolling cart with a few trays of food. The food was so bad and not much to choose from. The meat was so dried. We didn’t eat anything. The kids asked if we could leave the next day.
On the 2nd day, we were even more disappointed. It was a first time we ever saw an all inclusive resort that has just a couple of food trays for lunch buffet. They left most of the food trays empty. Flies and bees were all over the deserts.
The water was cold. The beach was not that nice. There were so many small blue jelly fishes, so people were scared and got out of the water. We had to change our plan. We stayed for only 3 nights instead of 6 nights. If we could find earlier flights, we would have left the next day. We stayed at Grand Fiesta Americana Cancun many times, but this is no where close.
If you travel a lots and have high standards, this is not for you.

We have stayed at the Fiesta Americana 3 times over the past 8 years and while it is still good value for the money, I would have to say there have been some cutting of corners when it came to the buffet and themed dinner events. Not a lot of Vegetarian options at lunch--maybe a veggie dog or veggie burger could be added to the menus? There have been some nice improvements to the property but sadly most of these(Adults Only Pool and bar, Mediterranean Specialty Dining Restaurant, and Veranda Restaurant for Breakfast) were only accessible to Club Level Guests. It would be nice if there was at an adults only area pool for regular guests. We had a ton of screaming kids in the pool the week we stayed and didn't feel like paying even more money for a day pass to swim in a quiet pool. Many other resorts (even cheaper ones) have an adults only area, just something that Fiesta should consider......
The specialty restaurants were mostly good and would say the Asian restaurant was very good. Our room on the 5th floor had a nice view and was clean and fairly modern. The bathroom was fine but not perfect...paint, finishings, tile etc were looking a bit worn and hot water in shower could be hit or miss.
Staff were helpful and polite, but not quite as exuberant as year's past. We tipped well, but noticed a lot of people were not tipping, so maybe thats part of it?
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but found it didn't quite live up to our stays of year's past, but still good.

The penthouse floor (9), was not as described. There was no concrete merge, no extra amenities as described. There were children on in the rooms. It was totally unspecial and not as advertised. The food at best was mediocre, overcooked and cold. In buffets all pastries were covered with bees. Eggs soaking in warm water for hours. Extremely disappointed. I’d rate this entire experience as a 3.

We stayed at Fiesta America for a family wedding. The resort is nice, a little tired, but very clean. It’s on a beautiful stretch of beach, north of the tourist areas. The food was quite good, with several options. There are several bars that were very accommodating. It has a very large main, but not much more for outdoor activities.
It is a good value for the money.

Comments: Recommended for families with small children. The ‘Adults only’ are accommodated for an extra fee at a smal area that has a bar and shallow pool with a view.

With the exception of a brief but fabulous Mariachi band and a great performance by the staff with the tree lighting ceremony, entertainment mostly consists of blaring or canned music by the pool.

Travel tip: Ensure a great vacation, don’t fly West Jet.

Everything was great!! My only complaint and it's not really a complaint was we only had our room cleaned once in 5 days because she always came around 5pm and we were resting or getting ready for dinner. We would just swap towels and all was good.

The rooms were always arrended to. The staff were very good. Shout out to Erick, Jorge and Nelson. Especially Jorge! This hotel needs more dinner options. The buffet restaurant was never open for dinner. But, my biggest complaint is that there are no palapas or umbrellas on the beach and it was next to impossible to find shade. This hotel used to have the BEST palapas in Puerto Vallarta so the lack of them is really annoying.

Our stay was great! The staff was very nice and attentive, and the rooms were clean. The beach is right next to the hotel, which made it super convenient for us. We enjoyed most of the restaurant options, except for Rosato (the Italian restaurant). I felt the dishes there needed more flavor.

We loved the Mexican buffet they had on Friday night. The food was the BEST, and the show was so fun to watch. My 18-month-old daughter absolutely loved it—she kept dancing the whole time! Another favorite spot was the Cevicheria. They have the best aguachiles and tacos gobernador.

The pool was a lot of fun, too! I especially appreciated the shallow kids’ area—it was perfect for families with little ones.

The only downside was how many employees kept pushing the Fiesta Rewards membership on us. Several approached us about it, and one employee even questioned me when I said we had already received the presentation from one of her coworkers. She kept asking for a name and seemed to assume I was lying, which felt unprofessional. There was no reason for me to lie.

Overall, our stay was good, and we enjoyed our time there!

Positives: Food quality is good, beach and swimming is good. Rooms are nice. Short ride from the airport.

Negatives: 1 bartender at the only open bar all day (waiting too long), Not enough chairs at pool. Buffet was closed on Monday night and all 3 restaurants were biiked until 9:30pm. Buffet in an all inclusive should be open everyday. Buffet dinner was lacking.

The food and drink were subpar. Rooms did not have amenities advertised. Fitness room, coffee shop, breakfast all did not open until 7am, pool did not open until 9/10am.
