Nos recibieron con gran amabilidad, gracias Melía hotel, nos dieron un upgrade en habitación y en bebidas, incluso nos permitieron quedarnos un par de horas despues de la hora de salida.
La comida en el buffet es bastante buena, las bebidas tambien, pero lo que mas nos ha sorprendido es el excelente servicio, todas las personas que trabajan ahí, desde la recepción hasta los que limpian, saludan y sonríen, gracias!
Las amenidades y las actividades están a la orden del día.
No pudimos disfrutar del bar de la alberca porque no estaba disponible.
Tenemos que aplaudir de pie a los chicos que hicieron el show nocturno, que a pesar que el público estaba reducido, hicieron increíble su presentación, de primera clase. Felicidades!

From reception to check out all points of contacts with staff were great! Staff was friendly, professional, responsive and welcoming. The room was clean and bed felt huggable! Melia had enjoyable activities for kids and adults. Melia went beyond my expectations! Melia is a beautiful resort. would come back again and recommend this resort to my family and friends!

Too expensive, I was given a room in zone under construction and I was charged the same amount. The sofa bed was on terrible conditions. On the buffet one of the girls that sits you was some kind of rude sometimes other than her the personal in the buffet was really nice.

The resort was great, especially if traveling with kids. The food was okay and the beach was small. However, the beach wasn’t packed with people and the waves were good to ride. My son loves to ride waves. The rooms were okay, not top notch, but I got a family room which had lots of beds. There were a couple of cons- on our 2nd night, the power in our room went out at 4:30am. It woke our baby up and he was up for an hour, since he uses the sound machine. I had to go to the lobby and tell them, which they were able to fix in about 15 min. However, the damage was already done with the baby waking up. My daughter got bit by a mosquito in the room and so did my baby. He had lots of bites. However, this you will find everything in Mexico during the summer. My daughter had an allergic reaction to a mosquito bite on her forehead and half of her face got swollen. Thank god the on-site doctor saw her at no cost. The restaurant food was awesome, especially at the mole & tacos restaurant. Overall, as a mom, I enjoyed not having to cook and my kids were entertained the whole time.

Great value for the price. The staff is amazing and very helpful. The two dinner restaurants are very good. The buffet is decent, but could improve more. The beach is nice, but can be rough at times. I felt the swimming pool was over warmed. However, my family enjoyed the whole stay. I was not aware that as a silver Expedia member they offer extra perks. The best was, having breakfast a la carte, which this meals were great!

Everything was good. The hotel is a little outdated but it is really compensated with the food, drinks, but overall the service. Best part of the hotel is the staff. They are always smiling and helping you out with anything you need. Highly recommended for families who want to spend the day at the pool, eating good food, and have some cold drinks.

There were three of us and we reserved a room with two queen beds. The room was supposed to be ready at 3 o'clock. They didn't have a room for us until 3:30, and the room. They took us to had one king bed. So they took us to another room that had two full-size beds, and the air conditioner did not work. So we waited another 45 minutes for our third room which they told us was a premium room. It had a beautiful view as it was oceanfront, but it also had two full-size beds. Apparently they do not have queen size beds.

The food at the restaurants was mediocre. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either.

The pool is quite large and has several places to sit in the water and relax which is nice. However, the bar is in the children's section of the pool. So the bar is surrounded by children. I suppose that's great if you have children, but mine are grown-up and I was not planning on spending my vacation with small children everywhere. It just seems like poor planning to have the pool bar in the children's section.

Property overall was good. Pool needs cleaning but very spacious. Some staff was very helpful and personable. Other staff didn't seem to be bothered. Room was very nice and clean. Food at the buffet seemed to be always cold, though the situation down restaurants were excellent. Food was wonderful.

As always Melia is one of my favorite stays in Vallarta! I love the staff the rooms everything is just amazing. The only thing that I could honestly just say isn’t ok is that children are able to be in the adult bar areas. They should have an assigned area to ask for beverages versus asking for beverages in the swim up bars where there is adults and the parents no where to be seen

Overall, I would rate this resort about a 5/10 and unfortunately I would not return.

The staff was definitely the highlight of the stay — everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful from the moment we arrived. Customer service was honestly 10/10.

The food, however, was disappointing. I’d rate it around 4/10. The selection was very limited and overall the quality just wasn’t great. Not a lot of options. We expected more variety.

Cleanliness was average, probably around 6/10. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, but the pool area could have been maintained better.

One of the biggest disappointments was that the kids’ pool/play area was closed during our stay, which was something we were really looking forward to for our children.

Also, while I cannot confirm it with certainty, we do believe we may have been bitten by bedbugs during our stay, which was very concerning. We mentioned it to staff & they were helpful, they even offered to wash our clothes.

Overall, while the staff was wonderful, the food, pool maintenance, and other issues made this a disappointing experience for us.

Activities for all ages, especially for the little ones, great service, great food, we loved it. Especially the VIP service that was provided to us. Our favourite show was the Michael Jackson Show and the Magic Show. Food was great, staff clean the pool daily and there were great activities for the adults too. My son had a great time making pizza, bracelets, cupcake decorations we enjoyed it.

This resort is a total gem. Beautiful Ocean Front view, hardworking and friendly staff from housekeeping, dining, pool side and front desk. It was our first time to stay at Melia for a family vacation (there were 23 of us in total from 3 years old to 83 years of age, and this place never disappoint! We would like to give a shout out and express my gratitude to Hector from guest services for his exceptional customer service. He was so accommodating, friendly and very respectful. We had a bit of issue in our room when we checked in however, Hector looked after it within minutes. The food at the buffet was very good as they have a huge variety everyday. The one that stood out was our sunset dinner at the Fish House on our last day since they were able to accommodate 23 people. The food was topnotch, the view was amazing and our servers were excellent. Melia totally exceeded our expectations. It was truly a memorable family vacation. We are already planning to go back, hopefully, by next year!

We chose this resort because of the great reviews. The staff was great and the grounds were very nice. When we had an issue, the general manager came to personally check on us. That said, there are a couple big deal-breakers for us. They actually open up the resort for day passes to the public and the crowds at the pool and buffet were ridiculous. When you pay to stay, you want it to feel relaxed and not like the community pool. We’ve stayed at other resorts where we did feel a sense of privacy and that is top priority. The rooms and bathrooms need to be updated. Housekeeping did not clean our floors and came at varying hours.

I can’t reccomend Meliá highly enough. From the moment we got here the staff was so accommodating and nice. Beautiful property- very well maintained and aesthetically appealing. Lovely marble floors in lobby. Stunning!
Staff was extremely skilled at their jobs and were friendly. They paid attention to our needs, often without even asking.
Rooms are spic and span clean, as well as all common areas. Wonderful fauna throughout the resort.
Pool area was clean and a very large pool accommodated everyone spaciously. Reserving pool chairs is not allowed- which is appreciated- which means you could go to the pool any time of day and be sure to find a spot. There are olenty of chairs for everyone.
The food choice was amazing, different menu on the buffet daily (breakfast, lunch, and supper). Food quality was very good, and delicious. We tried both the Fish House and Mole for supper, both were excellent, and staff were exceptional. We were staying as ‘premium’ booking, so we had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast daily in the Mole restaurant- wow! Top notch breakfasts and service.
Overall, the hotel management is to be commended on running a beautiful resort, the staff were very, very professional and friendly.

Meliá resort was a beautiful place with all that you need in one spot. The ocean view balconies were fabulous! The beach and pool were fantastic for our family. The staff were all so kind. Karen our server at mole and tacos every morning remembered all of our drink orders and immediately brought them out. She was so sweet to our boys too. Kids Club staff were also very sweet and made our boys feel at home. My sons said it was the best daycare yet!

This resort ticks all the boxes! Beautiful, cool rooms esthetically pleasing white on white with little vines in vases for a green touch of colour. The pool is large with lots of shade trees and palapas. The grounds are gorgeous and the beach is stunning. The food and drinks are good but the staff is AMAZING, without exception! I will absolutely recommend this to any family or couple or solo traveller without hesitation and will be returning as a regular!

Our stay at the Melia was incredible. We were celebrating our recent engagement and we were treated like a King and Queen. The resort, pool and spaces are kept so immaculate. We had so much fun.

The staff here are just incredible!

From the start Alfonso at guest check in was very welcoming and kind.

Ulises, Guitron, and Jesus at the pool and lobby bars were very fun, remembered us throughout our stay, and made the best drinks.

Ruben and Brienna at Fish House were so attentive. The food was so incredible. Highly reccomend the Surf and Turf Skewer and Tuna Tamani Tosdada. We were lucky enough to go twice.

Karen at the A La Carte breakfast and Alfredo at Mole and Tacos were so attentive. The food was so good.

Mariella and Mari at the spa were incredible at the spa. We had both of them twice for each service ( we went to the spa twice)The spa is located in the middle of the resort but you wouldnt know it it was so peacful and quiet.

Although we dont have kids ourselves, there was never a shortage of activities for kids or young families. Overall we would highly reccomend the Melia.

The kids club was incredible - my nephew loved the staff there. We had a leak in our room but maintenance was sent up to fix it and it was solved within an hour! Traveled with a 6 month old, and even my baby enjoyed his vacation. The staff is super friendly. We were celebrating our anniversary and our concierge Jose made sure we were celebrated. The restaurants have decent food. The resort had “A journey through Mexico” night with live Mariachi- which was pretty nice. The location of the resort is walking distance to Marina Boardwalk. This was a my first stay at the Melia, but It won't be my last. I was super excited that I never had to wake up early and chase a location by the pool. There were plenty of loungers to pick from at 10am. The buffet had great selection and great tasting food for every meal. Seeing Fernanda and Juan each day also brought a smile to my face because of their great spirits. I also fell in love with the mussels at the Fish House, and Filiberto made each dinner entertaining. Laura, Monse, and Isabela at the spa were fantastic. The steam room, water ritual and outdoor massage rooms were unique and a perfect way to relax. And my room had a great view of the ocean and the fireworks all around the marina. I am also grateful for Hilda who kept my room stocked with all my favorites and was the sweetest person. Such incredible employees all around. Everyone was super helpful and always let me practice speaking Spanish.

I loved our stay at Melia and Hector was awesome in accommodating our needs. The team constantly checked with us every day for how our stay was going. We had 3 friends who were vegetarian and the buffet has good quality food and a lot more options for people who are vegetarians. We loved that there was more cultural food and we could try so many mexican vegetarian dishes too. I am not sure about vegans because they had limited options for alternative milk substitutes like soy or oatmilk and even food wise. So Starbucks nearby is your only saviour if you want coffee and don’t like almond milk. They should definitely have more options like oatly oatmilk or soymilk which was easily available at Walmart. I had to buy my own and then I was good. Property was very well maintained and housekeeping was awesome. Their spa services are amazing and it’s so relaxing. The resort has lot of culture that gets reflected. We loved that part. People are really warm and welcoming. I will definitely come again.

We just came back from Puerto Vallarta after staying five nights at Meliá Puerto Vallarta, and overall it was a great experience. The food at the buffet was delicious, and we really appreciated that there were different dishes offered every day, which kept every meal interesting and varied. The customer service from all the staff was excellent—they truly make an effort to treat you like a king and queen. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The resort also felt very safe, which made our stay even more relaxing. The main reasons I would come back are definitely the amazing food and the outstanding customer service.

The property itself was clean and for the most part the staff was nice. A couple of the lobby bartenders were rude and not sure why. As far as the experience here. That was a let down. The pool bar was the worst part for me. I love nothing more than swimming up and enjoying cocktails all afternoon with friends and the potential to meet new ones. Let me tell you. This pool bar was so busted! There was no music, the selection of drinks was terrible, kids are allowed anywhere in the pool, there are a ton of birds everywhere with all the trees surrounding the pool, and for the most part the bartenders seemed annoyed that they were there. I’ve been to a ton of resorts and the pool bar is usually the fun party bar, NOT HERE!
The buffet is literally the worst. Breakfast was the most tolerable. We made reservations at the taco place one night and a roach crawled across the floor. We opted to eat out almost all meals.
The spa…..if you wanna call it that. We scheduled a RELAXING couples massage. It was anything but that. The entire time we were there all we could hear was a saw and boards being cut from construction that was happening at the hotel. There was no hot tub, or steam room, only this room called the vapor steam room which was like Vicks vaporub being blasted into a hot room. I will saw that we did complain about this and they ended up comping our massages which was nice but if you are looking for a spa I would suggest going into town or maybe over to the marina.

Ocean and pool view. Cleaning staff were great! Room could use some remodeling, which I believe they have started. The staff around whole resort were very good at jobs, and made us feel welcome. They appreciated us being there since we traveled 2 days after the red alert.

The balcony was solid so unless you stood up you didn’t see the ocean. However we requested a change and they moved us on Wednesday to a room with a glass balcony on right on the beach. Beautiful

Ocean was in view slightly but we payed for ocean view and did not recieve that. Staff was great. Room was clean but you couldn't use the dressers as drawers were broken. Activities we weak and geared mostly for children.

Melia made our first trip to Mexico very memorable!
Clean facilities, very friendly staff (helps to know some spanish), and convenient location close to the airport and Marina.
Very happy with the amazing guest services team, Hector and Montserrat were extremely helpful and excellent in making us feel welcomed and supported in anything we needed.
If you’re a tourist worried about safety, we stayed during the week of the cartel events and Melia was very safe on the hotel premises and far enough from the city and close to the airport. Highly recommend to stay at Melia or near the airport if that’s your main concern.
If you’re staying, recommend making daily reservations at Fish House and the Spa steam room. Mole y Tacos was the best place to have breakfast. Ocean view was worth it. The beach was exclusive to hotelgoers, so it was peaceful and not crowded at all. Kayak was our favourite activity. All of these were included in the all-inclusive packages.

The staff at Melia were absolutely fantastic, friendly, and helpful even during the uncertain times recently. The property was very clean, some of the rooms are a bit outdated, specifically the bathrooms but it's a small thing. They had nightly activities and a large pool, we only wish there was an adults only area but understood this is an all ages property. We loved our meal at Fish House.

All the staff were very friendly, mainly Jesus who surprised us with a courtesy at the spa when we arrived at the facilities. Clean room, great Ocean view and Family friendly. Definitely if you are looking for a hotel to vacation where the staff is attentive to your needs, this is definitely a good place to stay.

The staff were all amazing, so caring. Even in the difficult security situation that arose during our stay, they handled in fantastic and worked hard to keep everyone safe and happy. The fish house was amazing, and all the activities available throughout the day were awesome. Hotel was so clean, and it was so nice having the room cleaned daily. Great margaritas as well!!
