I was warmly received by the staff, and had a great weekend trip with all inclusive amenities. Fair warning to those hoping for a fridge and a microwave: these are not included but the buffet and free drinks available more than make up for this. I would recommend this place for any first timers in Vallarta.

We recently stayed at Vamar Vallarta All Inclusive Marina & Beach Resort and overall had a mixed experience.
Before the security situation in Puerto Vallarta occurred, the resort itself was very enjoyable. The accommodations were comfortable, the buffet was well stocked with good variety and there were plenty of activities and entertainment options available. The staff we encountered were generally friendly and working hard to keep things running smoothly.
Unfortunately, once the cartel-related security situation developed in the area, the experience changed quite a bit. We were scheduled to check out, however because of the situation we had to book additional nights until we could leave. At that time, the resort charged us more per night than we originally paid. Many resort services were reduced — about half of the buffet stations were closed, most activities and entertainment stopped and the Wi-Fi was extremely unreliable. This made communication difficult at a time when many guests were trying to contact family members, airlines and consular services for information. Communication from the resort during the situation was also limited and many guests seemed unsure about what was happening or what steps they should take.
That said, we do recognize that this was a difficult and unusual situation for the resort staff as well and we appreciate that they continued operating and providing food and accommodation during a stressful time. We met people who were staying in other hote

The room is very dated, and the resort is small. The food is just okay; prepare to wait in line. The pools are cold but they are clean. The location is their strength, convenient to the marina entrance. Staff are friendly, english speaking limited to senior staff. If they renovated, they could be that diamond in the ruff.

Great location that has both Marina and beach views. The resort spans two areas and has four pools. The staff are very friendly and courteous. The room was cleaned daily and food was good with the hotel having different food night themes. There are also two specialty restaurants. We met serveral fellow travelers that have been coming to this resort for years. I would highly recommend it.

We had a good stay and the resort as a whole was very nice. We liked that it was on both sides of the street so you can enjoy the amenities and restaurants on either side. That made it feel larger and more spaced out people wise. The staff was friendly and helpful to the guests needs and sent a couple of emails asking if there was anything we needed and how things were going during our stay. What needs desperate improvement is the beds, the bedding and the pillows. They were the absolute worst I've ever slept on in my life. The mattresses were as old as my grandmother and that's no lie. They actually had sit depressions on either side and were hard as rock and you could feel the springs. Worst ever!!! The pillows were so old and broken. It was like bits and pieces of foam digging into your head. I had to switch it out for one of the accent cushions to not get a headache every night. We asked other guests how their beds were and it was the same as ours. So the resort need to do a complete overall of all the beds. The cleaning staff was sub par. We left a tip every day but she only made the beds and wiped the sink. By the end of our stay the toilet smelled and the floor was very dirty. The food was adequate, some dishes were delicious and others were not. As a whole If it weren't for the worst beds I've ever slept in, I would highly recommend this resort.
We personally would stay there again and hope that the bed situation is fixed.

We had an amazing stay!! I went with my mom and we both enjoyed it so much, we'll be back next year! Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a balcony that looked over the pool. The beds and bedding were fantastic. We spent most of our time at the pools in the sun with wonderful cocktails. The staff from the front desk to the bartenders were extremely helpful and pleasant.

The staff was not nice very rude. In fact, my husband was injured by somebody cutting the grass caused a huge laceration in his side. They did not try to administer first aid or help in anyway.
Multiple times while we were eating at restaurants, we waited hours for our food.

Stayed at this property Jan. 13 -18 2026. The location is stellar. Main building is right on the marina with the villas being right on the ocean. It’s clean and well kept. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is good. Pools are fantastic and not busy. Great orientation to the sun for tanning. No coffee makers in the room and no ice machines anywhere. I would stay here again.

However after 2.5 hr wait for our room - the suite sliding door lock was broken. 2 engineers sent to fix and unable to repair. Sold out and no other room provided to fix the problem. So we were forced to book another hotel about 30 minutes away. The WiFi is week in the lobby and NOT available throughout the property or room on top of the door security issues.
The sofa in the room is in home condition, the room fixtures are in pier condition- lamp in double room is rusted and wire is exposed. This is al inclusive Mexican property - no tortillas at the buffet where we attempted to eat while waiting for check-in. We have been traveling to mexico for the last 15 years and never had this experience.

We had a great view from our room, however we were expecting balcony too. Apparently to get the balcony room we had to pay extra. Overall the staff tried their best to make our stay pleasant even tho some room upgrades were missing. The Italian restaurant has best food, we really enjoyed it. Having marina side & beach side is a plus for guests, walking distance from both sides very close. Location was pretty quiet & the pools were not packed. Mojito was great :)

The restaurants were only open certain hours. The buffet was pretty mediocre. No on property store to but snacks. Everything is inclusive but not 24 hours like RIU properties. The bars don’t open until 11:30am. Not everyone spoke English so of you’re not fluent keep your google translate close. Was clean and people were kind otherwise.

Great location, you can easily walk to the marina, and the staff is friendly. However, the hotel NEEDS MAJOR improvements and upgrades. It is old and has not been kept up. The food and drinks were mediocre for the price you pay. If you want a great all-inclusive experience go somewhere else.

We found that the staff were disorganized and uninformed. Some telling us of events, times and places that were wrong. Other times, we found lunchtime specials that were being set up on the beach that we had no knowledge of. Communication was poor between management and guests regarding events. We came to the resort during the Easter week and found that we were subjected to some discrimination towards us by the serving staff. They sometimes would avoid us or forget that we were even there, either at a restaurant or bar and would defer to the Mexican guests. Also, events were never on time. House keeping seemed random. Whenever was convenient for them. The food was disappointing, although there was a lot offered. No real Adult pool. Nobody was inforcing that. We would not recommend this resort if you are not Mexican.

My only couple of complaints would be that there is no wifi in the rooms and that the rooms themselves were dated and could definitely do with being updated. We got an all inclusive package at what seemed like a good price only to discover that it was on the 3rd floor of a building a quarter of a mile from the main building and restaurants and with NO ELEVATOR! Having a handicapped wife I tried to get a more accessible location and was told that there were none unless I was willing to pay more than double the price. Wound up feeling like the victim of a scam.

It was a lovely day being able to eat breakfast on the edge of the water to the marina watching the boats come and go in the mornings and evening. Dinners was wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunrise as I drank my coffee and had my breakfast. From the moment I got there, the staff was phenomenal. Front counter staff were friendly and very helpful with any questions I had. Juan, Larua and Eliud are some of the people that went above and beyond for me, but all the staff members were very welcoming. This was my first trip travelling as a solo, and I will remember it for years to come. I will also book with them again.

The staff was great always willing to assist. But hotel is not worth what we paid for. Bathroom was horrible (nasty), old and needed so much updates. The kitchen it has looks dirty and not appealing to use at all. The food was ok. Not great but not the worst we have had. The only good food they had was the Mexican theme dinner on Saturday. This hotel needs so much work in the rooms. If we go back we will not be staying there anymore. The pictures online are not at all the same when you are physically there. Disappointed.

Staff were incredible, especially bellman, Eduardo; as well as bartenders Papi Moreno & Salvador. WiFi was almost non-existent. Coffee only available in lobby and restaurants. Not many outlets in the room... but with that being said I was on vacation and wanted to be unplugged and got some extra steps in getting my coffee every morning. When you pay extra for a balcony with a gorgeous view, it's nice to have your morning coffee out there. Resort food was okay. The omelet bar was incredible.

Too loud music at pool, too much bass all you could hear on some days was boom, boom, boom all day.

5 Star ~ 1st Timer! Marina is in Walking Distance!

The Villa Suites are spacious and closer to the Ocean. The View was exceptional!
The inclusive was decent, with beverages galore and food options throughout the day.
Kitchenette was missing a fridge/microwave and pans to use the stove top. The shower was luke warm.
and there was construction and lawn mowers in the late morning early afternoon, but the Airport wasn't a noise factor. And the grounds well kept and are massive with 3 pools, 3 different inclusive restaurants!
The bed was comfortable with A/C in the bedroom. Nightlife was very good without being overwhelming.
The Marina literally met every need we had, and tours could be booked directly in the Hotel Lobby!!!

The area is great with Beach and Marina access. Food was excellent and better than any 5 start resort I have ever stayed at. Drinks were ok. More drink and wine options would be nice. If you have a later flight, be prepared to have to pay extra to stay on the resort until your scheduled flight time.
This resort has a very quiet night life past the scheduled entertainment that ends at 10:30. If you are looking to party later into the night, this resort isn’t it. Overall as a family of 4, we enjoyed our stay.

The food and restaurant service was also great.
The rooms at the villas had a bad smell due to issues with their pipes. The hotel could not change the issue nor accommodated us differently. And the internet was non existent. So perhaps the hotel should not advertise that they have wifi.
The night shows were not of much interest to us.

we loved location and easy access to area Marina and beach. Loved top shelf liquor served in all locations.
Negative Only one spot in facility designated for smokers in parking lot. Some guests do smoke and spend much of their time in parking lot since no other option is aforded.

Negative Also we misplaced one plastic key access card and were charged $10 equivalent in pesos to replace. Most hotels don't charge for a plastic key beig lost or replaced.

The stay was decent nothing fancy. However when it came to check out at 11:00am we asked to hangout until our flight, which wasn’t until 6pm. They first said no. I was shocked. Every other resort I’d been to in the past has always allowed us to store our bags and hangout by the pool or whatever able to still enjoy the facility fully. Not these guys. They cut our bands off and said they’d allow us to only be in the lobby, only after they could see the shocked look on my face. Considering all the money we spent I didn’t think asking to stay on the grounds until 3pm, when we had to head to the airport, would be an issue. Like I said before all the other all inclusive resorts have always allowed us to stay on the grounds with our bracelets as long as we handed in our room keys. We will not be coming back to this resort.

There are always pluses and minuses to every hotel. The Vamar Vallarta All Inclusive Marina and Beach Resort defiantly not on my list to go back to ever. After staying here a week in the villas. The location is awesome as the Marina is very close and Carlos at the pool will keep the drinks coming one right after another as long as you can handle them. The rest of the staff were not friendly and have very little communication skills. Food was Subpar and usually cold, But very authentic at the buffet, Tacos for every meal. The shower head was broken sprayed water all over room. Jacuzzi tub did not work. There was a refrigerator with dishes in the room bed was comfortable. The skinny little concierge lady was far from friendly and pissed me off twice. First I asked her about the Wi-Fi that didn't work and second she charged me for a lost room key and I asked how much she said 200 pesos I said in dollars, So she said 10 dollars I gave her a 10 then she proceeded to say that's not enough dollars are worth less here at the hotel. I threw the 10 at her and told her to shove it and walked out. This place is a 3 star not a 4 and I will find a nicer location to spend my week in Mexico.

As we arrived the hospitality was not friendly. Receptionist was rude and seem bothered. For the resort to be all inclusive but still charge for bottles water doesn't make sense. Restaurant food was cold and and no one attended to us. Didn't have many options for food, the little food I had i think I got food poising was throwing up all night. When asking for guidance of where to get food and snacks no one could guide us. Didn't receive a map of the property or information on the Wifi. When we went back to the receptionist she seemed upset and bothered that we were asking questions. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

If you are looking for a modern relaxing carefree stay, then you should probably consider another location. The hotel is perpetually understaffed creating long lines for food, drink service and front desk questions. The hotel counts with three fine dining restaurants that you have to reserve at 7am on the day you would like to make use of the restaurant. The food there is mediocre at best but the staff is friendly and attentive. Only one of the three pools is heated so everyone migrates to the same pool which quickly put added pressure on staff, beach chairs and food service.

Pros: 10 min from airport. Excellent location on the marina plus on the beach, surrounded by yachts and fancy houses. You can easily walk off the resort and feel very safe. Nice property with multiple pools and beach access. Food is good at the buffet as well as the 2 restaurants. Beds are firm. Staff is friendly.

Cons: Don't recommend the villa's as they are older and smell of sewer. We switched to the hotel suite as it is newer and didn't smell. Activities and entertainment are lower quality.
