Surprisingly nice stay at a traditional Mexican style hotel had nice rooms, free breakfast and a great location at the top of the Malecon. They don't deliver water daily but have self service large water bottles to download from. Would stay here again.

The hotel was built in 1948 and is one of a handful of Mexican owned hotels left in PV. It was lovely and truly authentic. Everything's I needed was within walking distance- the perfect location!

Staff was courteous but the room we got initially was terrible. There were no shelves or dressers to put clothes in and the shower did not work. They moved us to a nicer room for an upcharge. The whole thing seemed like something they do to people so they will ask for a more expensive room

The Good: Staff, Location, Pool
The Bad: Shower was cold, beds were uncomfortable and there was MAJOR road construction right outside our balcony.

A good value for a short stay (2-3 nights) but we chose to leave because the beds were uncomfortable and we couldn't relax with all the construction.

Great location, nice big room, even though it overlooked the roof of the dining room and lobby there was still a view of the water and sunset. Expected a continental breakfast and it was a \"warm\" (not very hot) buffet. Way better booking on line than walking in directly.

I highly recommend this hotel 100%. It's very clean, the room service is excellent, the room is spacious and comfortable, the beds are good, as is the air conditioning, and the shower is comfortable with hot water. It included a delicious and generous breakfast. The hotel staff is very attentive and friendly, the hotel is safe and in a great location, and the view of the boulevard is fantastic. My only suggestion is that the hotel add a refrigerator; it's needed.

The room was very basic and clearly reminiscent of its original era. It was a large room compared to most hotel rooms these days, however, the bathroom was very small. It was wonderful to be situated right on the beach and have such a great view and the rate was very good, but I wouldn’t want to stay longer than our one night. By the way, I hope the hotel splurges for some new pillows if that’s what you call them.

This place isn't real fancy, but the location is terrific. Right at the beginning of The Malacon. The breakfasts we're about repetitive, but always well prepared. It's near time of restaurants too.
The service was amazing--we had a problem with our safe and I stopped by the front desk to complain. There was someone at the door to our room before I got back to it!

“The place was clean and the staff were friendly. However, when I visited, there was construction right next to the building, so it was noisy, and I wasn’t able to park my car. I rented a car because parking was supposed to be available, but I ended up having to pay for a public parking lot. Other than that, everything was satisfying. Thank you :)

Great location. Make sure you book oceanfront room. It’s a 10$ difference but there’s zero noise from the busy street.
The only negative thing about the stay is the continental breakfast shenanigans.
You assume breakfast is included. In reality it’s 3 pieces of bread, orange juice and 4 pieces of watermelon. To get access to this mega fulfilling meal, you need to have a little battle with frontdesk who eventually will provide a coupon for it. One day at a time. If you show up 10:15 am , this coupon is not valid.
Overall, I’d recommend this place. Rooms are great, location is very convenient

Besides the initial bell boy and the woman who cleaned our room, everyone else was not very nice downstairs. I don’t know if they were homophobic and had a problem with us or just plain rude. The bare minimum was visibly a huge inconvenience to them. Also, our hallway was flooded and no one bothered to mop it up the entire last day. Also, our key kept having to be replaced due to it deactivating.

Food was tasty, just be careful on the price changes everyday if you upgrade. Margs were delicious. Architecture was classic and cute.

We had a ground floor room with three children, the kitchen noise begins at 4am. I’m not that picky but it was aweful between the late night lobby partying noise that lasted to 3am and the 4 am kitchen I certainly would not recommend to anyone travelling with children. Pool was hot af and we only used once during a 5 day stay. Cool hotel in a great location if you don’t have kids.

Property feels old world Mexico. Really nice grounds. What I didn’t like was that there are no hair dryers in rooms. No screens on sliding door or windows and that was a problem because we lost power in our room one day and it was quite hot.
The “free” breakfast was a complete waste. Also, know that they date and name the coupons, so make sure you use the right ones. They made a big issue out of us accidentally using the wrong ones on day 2 and had two staff come to our table to tell us this and it seemed they acted like we were trying to pull one over on them. The breakfast consisted of a few slices of fruit, either pineapple or watermelon, or some unknown fruit. The “toast” was what looked like a baguette sliced and very lightly toasted. Came out cold and then then you got a glass of OJ. So don’t look too forward to that free meal. It’s a waste of time even sitting down for it. After that day, I just kind of had a bad feeling about the staff.
There were some staffers that stood out. One being Fernando at the restaurant. He was very kind, always. And another girl at the restaurant, but don’t recall her name.
The housekeeping came in twice while we were there and they did a great job.
We got there at 3 and our room was not ready so we ate at the restaurant. The food was not good and the prices were very expensive, IMO. Also, how about ONE vegan option. Just one.
