The Pool was a nice place we sat in the courtyard but we didnt use the pool. Overall we enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel to experience an authentic mexico and not the commercialized inclusive hotels. This hotel was the best choice for what we wanted to experience. Totally enjoyed ourselves here. Mucho Gracias to the staff and would definitely return here.

A lot of noise in middle of night from neighbors with several units. Like two to four thirty middle of night. Rooms are tiny outdated. Bed was great. Nice sheets. Shower water was unpredictable. No house phone. Door lock was marginal with no deadbolt. Hotel does not allow guests. No staff supervision of occupants with very noisy late night partying.

The only thing nice but very deceiving is the photos. Upon arrival , NO ellivater , then NO WATER until the next morning and the room being street side was very noisy ( it didn’t stop) . What there was for towels where not much more than thread barren rags with no hand towels or face cloths available. You can see daylight through the ceiling of the room. We stayed one night and found accommodation else where. NOT RECOMENDED

I had the economy room. 5th floor without elevator, no air conditioning, which is made very clear by the hotel. The balcony was basic with 2 chairs, but wifi was strong, so I could work in the shade. Room was in a tradional Mexican style, it is not a luxury hotel with amenities. But it is in good proximity to the bars and a lot of restaurants, and walking distance to beaches. Lots of interior patios to work remote at if that is more your style.

Hotel is clean with water coolers, bring your ear plugs and/or white noise machines (download one on your phone). Iron (la plancha) and tv/ac remotes require a deposit, so have some pesos. Farmacia Guadalajara is next door and has an ATM with favorable rates.

Pack light, know what you are renting, enjoy your stay. Staff is lovely. Guipes, Rienas, and the food trucks nearby are tasty/fun.

Great hotel for such an affordable price! It was very clean, tidy, and cozy. A special thank you to the staff — wonderful people work here who are always ready to help. The only thing to be aware of is the noise level (both from the street and through the walls). However, considering the cost of the stay, we were very happy with our choice.

You have the option to get your room cleaned everyday, it’s not a fancy place but definitely reliable and still great and affordable spot for a vacation. There was A/C in the room we stayed in and a fan which came in handy for hot days. I would recommend bringing along a blanket for extra comfort as the cover on the bed is very thin. The shower wasn’t spacious but good for what’s needed, overall if you’re looking for an affordable place and are familiar with realistic living conditions being in Mexico, I recommend.

Went and talk to the front desk showing the pictures on the website and staring this is nothing like the website portrayed. False advertising!!! We did not stay there. Had to leave. The property charges extra for AC, the price was average to other hotel in the area. They take best pictures of nicer rooms, but they offered tiny, old, rusted ones. Even when paid extra for AC.

Just ask many question before booking this one. The facility doesn’t look the way, they posted on pics, to be honest. Consider yourself warned

BE AWARE about this place.
I want to type and describe everything, but it’s too long, so I’ll just give little list about what we found in this hotel. The photos on EXPEDIA or their website are NOT updated, those are photoshopped. We ended up leaving the place, the rooms are terrible the beds are horrible. The staff members are super unfriendly, like I said we didn’t even stay on the premises after seeing all that. Please read the reviews before considering this place. Because you will regret it.

The hotel is close to all the places that I like to visit while in PV. This was my second time staying here and it was much better than the first time. My room had a comfortable bed, great AC, scenic balcony and a water dispenser outside the rooms on each floor.

This is a very rundown old hotel but in a superb location. The AC was good and linens clean. If all you care about in a clean cool room in a great spot then this hotel is fine. However, it is very noisy all day and night being on a busy street. The balcony doesn't close correctly so it's as if the windows are open all night. Cars and trucks and horns blasting all night. Pool noise carries up with kids screaming too. WiFi was sporadic as was the TV reception. Antiquated policies like having to pay a deposit for a TV remote. Is this 1970? Staff were friendly and efficient but entire place should probably be knocked down and rebuilt.

It is a good place for the value. I would have liked to have had better clarity about the bed configuration when booking. I wound up with two twin beds where I would have preferred a larger bed. Also, they did not have bath mats or face cloths. I was able to get an extra towel to use on the floor though. The room safe was kind of small but it was secure. The only other thing to mention was is there were only two plugs. One by the door that had the TV plugged in and one by the sink. I unplugged the TV so I could plug-in and use the refrigerator. In order to charge my devices overnight I went to a local hardware store to buy an extension cord so that I could get power from the outlet by the sink. I then had to alternate between that extension cord of my device devices and my electric toothbrush which needed to be charged periodically. Having said all of this I would stay here again.

It’s a great hotel, we’ve stayed twice now. Perfectly located between local areas and the beach, easy to get around on foot or by taxi, bars and clubs within 2 blocks! There’s even the Guadalajara Pharmacy and Store across the street, plus other stores like OXXO and more, nearby! Hospital 1 block away if needed. It’s the perfect spot. Haven’t tried the small pool yet but many people and families use it. The space is always clean and tidy, and the rooms are spacious and cleaned and stocked. We always go for rooms with a balcony. You get used to the street noise pretty quick! And the beds… perfect. The wifi is spotty in the rooms but there are lots of common spaces to go sit and use it. The top patio is hot and sunny! Great wifi there too. Thanks as always!

Grear place to stay if you're looking for nightlife. Plenty of restaurants around. Staff was friendly. I was recommend a menudo place from one of the staff members. Best menudo I ever had. Overall great place to stay if you are looking to be in the center of everything. Downside is the city noise. If you're ok w city noise and construction everywhere near Zona Romantica then you will love this place.

this hotel is in the area I enjoy when visiting puerto vallarta. However, our room was on the side of the main street and it was very noisy at night. I may go back, but I will request a room on the opposite side. I really liked that staff were nice and helpful. Another thing to consider is that I was not able to invite a friend to drink coffee with me and that was a disadvantage. thank you

The Hotel is located in downtown centric and at only 5blocks from the pier or the walking strip of El Malecón , but the building is a traditional old town old brick and mortar structure where they add to the old hotel progressively more rooms up to a 5 stories high brick block ( I guess if you are looking for a place to be immerse in the PV night life or travel the Hemingway go for it ) time and we were dispatched to the last floor climbing over narrow stairs not for elderly tourists my sister had a hip surgery so we have to book another hotel after 2 days stay but if you are looking for something very affordable and in downtown this one option for me the last take in account when you are comparing the hotels and apartments for rent in downtown the

There was not much that I liked. It was extremely noisy. I had to climb four floors upstairs. My balcony was right over the main street where all the vehicles coming into that area go by including the trucks, unable to sleep at all the water in the room, kept on going from hot to cold nonstop. The property is old, very old. I got what I paid for, for a cheap vacation but the hotel is old. It’s in a great location, close to everything. However the shower was either scalding or freezing. Not enough electrical outlets. No deadbolt nor night latch on the inside of the room which is not safe. There’s no elevator so if you’re on the 5th floor, be ready to walk the stairs. There’s no smoke detector in the rooms. You have to give 100 pesos for the television remote for your hotel room. At the end of your stay they want you to bring all your dirty used towels down to the reception desk. The beds are twin sizes so they’re too small and uncomfortable. The door handles to the rooms were very loose, although there were cameras in the hallways - which is a plus. The swimming pool was not heated so it was cold. I don’t mind roughing it at times but this hotel was bare bones vacationing. No frills, just a bed and a pillow. There’s a microwave on the ground floor but does no good if my room is on the 5th floor. The employees were cleaning many times when I saw them - so great job to them. But I would rather spend extra money to have the comfort of a quality hotel.

I had a two week stay at this property and it surpassed my expectations. I had a very simple room at a very reasonable rate. Even though the room was basic, it was well maintained, clean and had a perfect little balcony with a distant view of the cathedral. Plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower, as good as home. This hotel was the perfect location for me...in town but a short walk to the most beautiful beach. The best part of my stay was the kind and friendly five-star staff. Claudia, Daniel and Damaris greeted me with a smile at the front desk every morning and evening. The ladies cleaning my room and the hotel also always greeted me with a smile and a kind word. I will definitely be returning. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

For the price we paid the hotel was exactly what you would expect. The rooms were cleaned daily. The room we had was a bit cramped with no real place to put out suitcases, so we had to constantly open our bags, take stuff out and close it back up/stand it up. Staff were friendly. Overall, the stay was fine based on what we paid.

None of this is bad but just an FYI: our room was pretty humid. Lots of air coming through the patio even when closed. It was pretty loud one night. Not the hotel’s fault. They don’t have an elevator. Staff was super nice and minded their own business. WiFi sucked when I tried to work from the hotel. Got better dependi where in the room I was. There is no deadbolt. Just a knob with a press in lock. The safe is also pretty small. Didn’t even fit my AirPods Pro max or my iPad. Location is amazing though!! Felt very safe. This property has some quirks so my review was more of an FYI than a “I had a terrible time here”. It was just average.

I booked with Expedia. The online photos were greatly exaggerated, not at all like the photos, the room that I was suppose to take was dirty, a tiny little window, the room was scary, it looked like a maids quarter. The staircase to that room was unsafe, limited lighting, uneven to walk, a tripping hazard. I did not stay in that hotel. It was terrible and false advertising There’s a sign in the window looking for a repair man… do not recommend this hotel.

This hotel was located in the middle of old town Puerto Vallarta. Every where is walkable, close to the beach, lots of dining experiences, and alot of shops close by the hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful making my experience at the hotel awesome. Keep up the great work.

The hotel was average. It was in a very good location close to clubs & restaurantsThey had free water. When I first got there, I booked a single room which I thought looked horrible. It felt like a jail cell the staff was very accommodating and upgraded me to a bigger room with a balcony for a good price. I would definitely stay here again, but I would recommend booking the room with the balcony.
