Very friendly & efficient housekeeping. Me & my friend stayed in rooms 1 & 2, room 1 had a bad smell due to a laundry room that seemed to be attached to it, he had to use a incense defuser to mask the smell, 2 had a musty smell & they had some sort of a dehumidifier going to dry the room up that made a big noice, both had a powder room with toilet but no mirror which is an easy fix so these rooms can be used better. The mirror in the main toilet in room 2 was very dull so could hardly be used & there was no area or shelf to put toiletries, they seem to have had a glass shelf that had broken. Would be good if they had a small toaster over or microwave in the room.

The place was full if not would have asked to be moved. Central location & price was good but they can fix these small issues

Great location, three parking spaces, no-key entry, nice pool and hot tub (rare to see anyone in them). The veranda on the roof has a nice view and a great breeze. Older building, no elevator, no restaurant, lots of food within walking distance. Not a quiet neighborhood (not unique to this building). Hot water, nice pressure in the shower (top floor). One block from the beach. Would book again.

The pool looked exactly like the pictures, but I wasn’t brave enough to try it. Same with the hot tub. The hotel is quite well maintained, but on the rustic side. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is less than 2 blocks from the beach and restaurants all along the beach
Just 1/2 block away is a very well stocked grocery/corner store and also a small pharmacy
Many other small stores and restaurants within easy walking distance
One thing to be aware of is that this area of PV is very steep many steps and hills
The other thing to know is that this area caters to a high ratio of gay men. That could be good or bad, but important to be aware of
On the whole it seemed to be a pretty safe area during the day time, but we didn’t go out at night

Security needs improvement: The gate is always open. That's fine during the day. But the person at reception during the evenings and at night is almost always sleeping. Anybody can walk in.
Also the locks on the doors are flimsy. No deadbolt, just the handle that locks. The door to my room, room 11, was loose. The lock was fautly. In fact, on my departure day I could not open the door. The handle was broken. Someone fromt he hotel had to let me out. Even he had trouble opening the door. When he did, the mechanisme fell out. No more lock on the door. Good thing I was chekcing out.
On a positive note, the staff were nice and the room was always clean.

Clean room Cleaning staff were exceptional. Reception except 1 fellow could not speak any English so was very hard to communicate. My room was not what I choose on Expedia, but it sufficed Will double check next time I book through Expedia. Did not get what I thought I paid for … was very disappointed

Clean, spacious suite but dark and old. Calling their pool a pool is a stretch. Room had little natural light. Street level room with bars over the windows. Passing cars very loud. We lasted one hour and decided to take the financial hit and move hotels. The pics are of the rooftop. If you need space, this is a great choice. If you need sunshine, probably not for you.

Room was clean but bathroom, especially, was falling apart with windows broken and/or would not close and opened onto sidewalk and parking area. Noise level from street and inside hotel was, at times, too loud for conversation. Amenities are minimal (shampoo and shower foam but nothing else. Shower head leaked and sprayed water all over the bathroom so towels, floors, toilet paper, toilet, etc. were always soaked. Housekeeping was efficient but definitely basic accommodations. No concierge-type service at all but since the city is well-known to me, it was mostly unnecessary. Pool was so small that a dip was as much as it would accommodate and the tile tub with rocks floor which doubled as the shower doesn’t hold water so tub use didn’t exist and rounded rock floor made it difficult to stand on for a shower.

Room was SO CLEAN. We had a full kitchen, living room and big bathroom. Could have used a new shower head. But other than that this is a great location. Cute pool, hot tub, and sitting area. 1 min walk to the beach and restaurants etc. The check in guy was very nice and accommodating. Zero complaints. Cleanest hotel room I’ve seen in a while. Basic accommodations. Bed was firm but comfortable. Has deck that is safely secured with bars so you can sleep with the patio door open as we were on the first floor. Would come back!

First off, the check in office staff woman was so charming and so lovely. What a smile.

The room (#6) on the second floor was spacious with a good sized kitchen and lots of sitting options. The air con kept the bedroom coolio.

Close to the beach, great food and beer/cocktails and art galleries, live music, etc. etc.

Great location with everything nearby and 1 block from the beach. Their staff are very friendly and helpful. Restaurants, shops, quickymart & farmacies are 1 block away (oxxo too).

Property is ok, needs an update in several items.
Pool has some tiles off but is enjoyable.

They have drinkable water fountains around the hotel making everything more easy.
Unit (rooms) are clean with mini splits that work very well as well as coffee maker and fridge available that was wonderful. We had an extra area where we could hang our wet clothes (swimsuits) to get dry.
We had an extra space with the view of the street with 1 chair to drink our coffee privately but outdoors.
Furniture (loveseat and chair need to be clean and/or update)
There is minimal furniture in the room and our luggage had to sit on the floor but they have a big closet with a safe.
The only issue we had was the water heater that only worked the last day (of 6) but only for 1 person. We reported this and they came to light the pilot 2 times. Even though they did this the water was decent hot first minutes & after was just lukewarm & for the second person was only lukewarm as well.
Pictures on the website are misleading, it suggest pool was on the roof because showed the pool and then a sunset view suggesting the pool was on the roof not in the center of the hotel on the ground floor. One of the reasons we booked here was because we thought we would have full sun while in the pool.

Very specious rooms with two toilets. Nice full sized refrigerator. A kitchen with a full set of silverware. Good strong free coffee and drinking water, though a bit slow on the water refill. Cruisy windows though straight people stay here also.

Quite noisy on a Friday night with people partying by the hot tub till 1 AM in the morning Join the party or bring earplugs . On Saturday night the party was over by 10 PM. All other nights were quiet. Rickety old furniture. Spotty Wi-Fi.

What is the best is the staff! Arturo, and the cute little lady that I forgot the name :(, which was beautiful... and our cleaning lady, wow! amazing. on the ball always. THere was some dirt on our window and the shower head was old. they cleaned, repainred the window case and changed the shower head. One night one of the upper apt was a bit loud and the next day it was quiet, thanks to the staff that addressed it right away. The location is fantastic one block from the beach. The only thing is that it is a small and in the shade most of the time pool with no space for chairs around it. BUt there is a great and big hottub in the back, a terrace on the top floor to see the ocean. The glass door in the back of your apt are not very sound proof so you will hear the street or the hot tub people depending where you are situated. It did not really bothered us. We were in unit 10 with the back to the hot tub. There is stairs and no elevator if you have trouble walking. Also if you are a cook, it is pretty basic, but also different in each condo unit. ours, one pot, two small pans, 4 of each, plates, bowls, etc. no wine glasses. That said every time I asked for something I got :)
At last it is gay friendly, so if you have a problem with it, pick another hotel. My husband and I had no issue. WE would come back.

The penthouse was airy and sunny. I liked the quirky charm. It was bright and sunny and very clean. Front desk was helpful and always there. All the rooms were large, even the bathroom. There was a nice balcony, and some sort of outside sink room which was nice for hanging wet towels and swimsuits to dry.
Had a problem with our lock and they had a locksmith and repaired the issue in under an hour.
The only negative we had was there was some damage to the door, and the only security on our room was a regular door lock, no deadbolt, or any other lock.
I would definately stay here again.

Is a wonderful vacation spot and so conveniently located. Our room was not ready when 3 o’clock came in was not ready till 445 which wasn’t so bad. It was relatively quiet. I like this outdoor space from our room and I liked having a little kitchen. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful.

The bed was extremely firm. The sofa sleeper was more comfortable. The kitchen area window in the roof suite does not close fully so there is no stopping the outside noise. Very convenient. Roof resting area is nice for 2-4. If you want to sleep get a room behind the pool area closer to the jacuzzi. Ongoing construction across the street is very loud.

Would absolutely stay again, but want to share some small issues that if fixed would have made our stay perfect.

1) No hot water in our room
2) TV doesn’t work
3)Curtains let in a lot of light
4)Nobody told us we needed to know a code for the front gate. We came in after a night out around 5am and we had to wake up the security guard to let us in lol

We felt very welcomed and cared for, though it’s possible we were the only breeders there. The staff was lovely! Bed was comfy, suite was well equipped. I wouldn’t want to try gourmet meals in the kitchen, only very basic pans, but toaster and coffee maker worked. There was construction right outside, til that’s done you may request a room not right on the street. But they stopped at 4:30. Would totally stay there again.

We were shocked when we saw our bed. When we opened the blanket we saw multiple pieces of hairs and the sheet was super wrinkled and strained. It was so clear that they haven’t changed the sheets from the previous guests. Also, the overnight agent was super creepy and was staring us! Do not stay here!

My second time staying here. Really like this property. Nice and quiet yet close to the beach and restaurants. Only two tiny pools, with no real sun, but you have the beach and Pacific right nearby. Room was nothing fancy but perfectly fine. Excellent housekeeping. Great value for the money.

It is a boutique hotel so its not as grand as any other in the vicinity and there are not views of the beach front of PVR and no elevator so be prepared to carry your suitcase if you have a full size. The ground floor has only 3 rooms and the other 2 are big suites and the one I got was the single room with the door has a little gap which people can peek inside your door that's the only (cons) about the room I was staying, I do hope they change the door and on my 4th day because it is next to the swimming pool you can hear the people like what I have experienced on my 4th day this guy was playing loud music and laughing so hard and \"he is by himself\" I could hear everything the rooms are not \"sound proof\" so if you partied all night and want to have a sleep in the afternoon it might be difficult if you have people lounging around the pool area. The receptionist are all very friendly and accommodating but there is a language barrier, it be great if they get a staff who is fluent in english and spanish because there are a lot of foreigners during my stay.

The staff was very friendly but the room was terrible. I wasn’t expecting much for the price but on day 2 the cable went out on my TV and no one knew how to fix it. There was a cat screeching right outside my door all night my first night. On my 3rd day the electricity went out. There were cracks in the door that you could see light coming through. The room was old, the bed was hard and the bathroom was tiny. The pictures on Expedia were very deceiving. They must have been taken 20 years ago.

Stayed there for 8 days. A/C unit in main living area did not work (E1 code - electricity to condensor). Reported 3 times with no resolution (was told that it was working); got Giardia infection from tap water; took 3 requests to get hot water turned on; spacious, sparecely furnished, close to beach, restaurants within a block, kitchen amenities adequate (no micrwave or oven); medium sized refrigerator; room serviced 3 times in 8 days. Main entrance gate locked and staffed at night (very secure). Will not return

On the plus side, the staff was wonderful, the location was great, and the price was right. On the minus side, the property is in need of serious renovation and major maintenance program. The facility is in serious disrepair.

There are only three English channels on the TV if your TV works at all. (We had a working TV for one night out of the five.) Some of the furniture and window panes were broken as well.

The is a small pool and a hot tub and both were clean. It's not the nicest or most modern facility in the area but the Romantic Zone is pretty expensive and you will find the price at Petit Hotel Pilitis hard to beat.

I stayed 2 weeks. It is very close to the beach! Walking distance to the Malecon. The room was large with a kitchenette. A microwave would have been a great addition but you can certainly survive without one. Bed was comfortable. There's also a small \"balcony\" off the bedroom. It would have been nice to have chairs.The pool isn't as large as it looks in the photos but was still great to use. Not at all that noisy. Staff are very helpful and friendly!

Overall, a very nice stay. The pool was clean and there were plenty of amenities in the well-stocked kitchenette.
The staff were friendly & efficient. My only negative comment would be that there was no complimentary small bottles of water offered in the rooms. In a country where the tap water is largely undrinkable, the vast majority of hotels offer each guest one small bottle of water per day. It was missed in this hotel.
Otherwise, I’d stay again.

My partner and I enjoyed our week-long stay at Petit Hotel Pilitas. The staff was very helpful and accommodating; we both felt welcomed. The cleaning staff was quick and efficient. Our suite was spacious and clean, and when we found the TV was not working, it was fixed the same day. Our bedroom room on the ground floor was relatively close to the street, so there was considerable traffic noise until early morning. The pool and jacuzzi were nice places to hang out with our friendly neighbors. The apartment was also within a block and a half of the beach, and there were numerous bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. I would recommend Hotel Pilitas and stay there again!

Great location close to the beach and other walkable destinations. Good places to eat, felt very safe and most people were very friendly in the area. Great staff at the hotel keep up with everything. Cute overlook of the beach on the rooftop. We loved the jacuzzi but didn’t try the pool while there. Adults only so the decor is explicit just so you know! Boutique vibe was great

Nice to have the kitchen in the room. Rooms were OK. Had a problem with A/C but the staff had maintenance repair within 24 hours - It was a bit prison like - you could have absolutely no guest to your room without paying additional - I was with a friend, who was staying at a different hotel, and he was not allowed to come to my room to get a band-aid (and this was in the middle of the day- not sure if this was about security or having no one else on property.

A gem of a little hotel.

This is a modestly priced hotel 1 block from the beach. The bad was a noisy air conditioner unit outside our room that we dealt with by closing the window. The good: the room and grounds were clean, the bed was firm and comfortable. we had great pillows. The room had a kitchenette with a full sized refrigerator, a gas cook top (but no microwave), It had plates and cookware. Our room had a small outdoor sitting area looking at condos. The hotel has two shared terraces, one of which has a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff were friendly and helpful. We saw them daily cleaning the public areas and the pools. The bottom line is that we would stay there again.

This was a very cute little place, near the beach and shopping areas and Jasmin was very nice! Only drawback was the pool was small and not heated, and they were cutting down vines in the hot tub area so I couldn't go in. They had designated parking which was great.

Great location, the hotel was clean.
24 hour guest service, which made the hotel feel more safe.
Shower was cold, but fixed immediately when bought up to attention with hotel manager.
Weird extra guest surcharge of 300 pesos per visit.
Hotel took a deposit of 1000 pesos, which was returned upon deposit receipt.

The rooms have a lot of space. Beds are comfortable and staff is extremely kind. It is adults only what makes it special.

There is no much sun in the pool area so it is usually empty.

The terrace upstairs it is a must see.

I really recommend it.

A/C is strong and works great

Water in shower gets nice and warm, not hot unfortunately but good enough to be enjoyable

Mini fridge kept my beverages nice and cold

I stayed in the standard king room and it was spacious with plenty of room in closet and good sized bathroom.

My room was also right next to the street, be aware extremely loud, but I never travel without a few pairs of earplugs to make sure I don’t have issues with noise.

WiFi is a 1 out of 5 stars - I was right behind the office in Room 5 and signal would go in and out, mostly out and even when I did catch it, it would be very slow. They definitely need to upgrade their WiFi and add more modems for better signal throughout hotel.

The room doors need a major upgrade and better locks added for better security/peace of mind in my opinion. It’s the old school basic doorknobs that I probably could open up with a butter knife. However they always have a front desk person and hotel entrance gets locked at dark.

This place for sure needs some touchups inside the rooms but unsure if I’d stay again due to the cons mentioned above. Price point below $70/night is passable but any higher is pushing it. I paid $59/night before taxes.

It’s a very bad place, they made terrible with the renovation they just paint and vet the old paint. Showers are awful, you have to ask to the staff to turn on the water heater. The room look empty with very poor decoration, the windows don’t seal so you will listed the people talking on the street, I mean they give you a key with a lace! I wish they would have keep the Cora, the old facility as it was. It wasn’t cleaning but it was much more fun and no trying to make a place that isn’t like a boutique hotel!! Bad

Fantastic Stay!! I loved this property. The location the value is fantastic, and the rooms are very spacious. I stayed in a Double Standard Suite (Suite Doble), which contained a comfortable king size bed and large master bathroom. I liked the open shower in the master and two balcony spaces. The other side features a pool view. The staff was exceptional especially Priscila at the reception, which is staffed 24/7. I’d definitely stay again.
