The bottom floor where the front desk and valet parking are had a strong smell of sewage. I booked two identical rooms and called multiple times to request adjoining. They wouldn't guarantee it. When we checked in, they told us they couldn't give us adjoining rooms but that were in the same hallway. When the rooms were finally ready (5 pm, website quotes 4pm), the rooms were nowhere near each other. The rooms were old, stained curtains and chairs, smelled like smoke. I called the front desk and they sent me to a call center supervisor who said they couldn't help me. Between gambling, dinner reservations, drinks, and cover charges, we spent a lot of money on a single night. The Quarter is cool and Carmine's food was yummy. We had fun dancing at Kiss Kiss but the room and the front desk team were terrible.

The facilities were beautiful. Hotel room was clean, the restaurants and places to shop were great.

The hotel staff was awful. The front desk staff was less than welcoming and absolutely put a damper on what was supposed to be a great weekend getaway.

Paid for early check in, only to find out at noon (we arrived at 9am) that they gave us a room that is not the room that I paid for. Front desk told us that we had to leave that room and wait for “our room” to be ready. It’s now 2pm. We didn’t get to “our room” until 4pm and when we finally went to get the keys, she had the nerve to say, “Oh you used the kiosk. That’s why you got that room. Next time come and speak to someone at the front desk.”

Housekeeping never showed up to clean the room and I had to call three times for clean towels.

The Tropicana is a huge facility. My only thing I would say about my visit that wasn’t as pleasant was there is an express check-in that revolves a robot not a live person not everyone is tech friendly. And you have to pay for parking even as a guest $20 that was not the best for me either.

The room was clean but leading to the room smelled like sewage. We used valet. We were not allowed to bring our own luggage to the room. If that's their policy, it is what it is. 30 minutes later our luggage arrived and the man who brought it to our room was rude. After thinking him two different times, he put both his hands out and laughed. I looked at him confused. He said \"well, most people tip. That's how we make a living.\" I just got done driving, I wasnt even thinking about a tip. We figured it was included in the $45 valet since they require themselves to bring the luggae in the room. I didnt even have cash. I felt terrible, truly. Come to find out, they're not suppose to ask for tips.

Highly disappointed with the employees manners. The room had very little lighting. Highly upset that I had to pay an additional 180.00 dollars just to have two beds in the room and when asked to speak to a manager the person refused and basically told us there is nothing more they could have done about it. I felt rushed and forced to pay this just to stay at this location. Though it was brought to my attention that I could have got better treated at other locations such as harrahs and showboat I chose to stay here at Tropicana and got little to no respect at all.

I had to change rooms because of how dirty it was. The staff didn’t like that I asked for a room exchange because apparently the Chelsea tower is for lesser paying customers and since it was all booked I couldn’t be accommodated unless I paid more. After I told them I don’t care where you put me, just put me somewhere clean a room popped up.

Hubby and I decided to do an impromptu getaway for the night! We had so much fun! From the smooth checkin and friendly staff, to our king bed in a very clean room! The price was just right through Expedia. The night clubs offered great dancing, with two of them being free entry, one cover charge was 15 and the other one was 20. The drinks were a bit pricey but they were good at all the bars! The atmosphere was family friendly, there were families there. Something for everyone to do. Close to stores and dining.

Atlantic City isn’t known for being the safest or cleanest area. However, when you stay on the boardwalk, you won’t feel that. There’s a lot to do within Tropicana - clubs, eateries, casino, shows, etc. We enjoyed our stay in AC because we decided to stay on the boardwalk.

Very run down areas. Front desk staff not helpful. Pool hours very limited. THE ELEVATORS!!!!! They are actually a hazard, let alone nuisance to wait the lengthy lines to ride! Too many times the elevator stopped midway, partially opened, or dropped several flights accidentally, scary stuff! I am so thankful we will not be attending this event again and do not have to worry about ever staying here.

We went there for my husband's birthday/ 2 year wedding anniversary/ a break after a foiled ivf and were highly disappointed. We were trying to celebrate during a very tough time in our lives where our finances were already depleted. It was hard getting around, we were in line for 20 minutes waiting on line for elevators, some of the escalators weren't working. We had 3 towels in our room and called to get towels and that took half the day. There was no explanation given to us by the person who checked us in. We learned the resort all on our own. That may just have been our own experience but it was a tough weekend with a lot of disappointments. The pressure in the shower at Chelsea room 907 was horrible. The only positive was the guy who finally got us some towels was the attendant name Jean. Disappointed

I was a bit surprised by my stay at the Tropicana. The nightlife and the variety of places to eat were excellent and definitely a highlight. However, there were a few downsides. The room was surprisingly dark—there were only two lights, which made it feel dim, especially for a newly renovated tower. Another issue was housekeeping. On the second day, I requested fresh towels and had to call three separate times before they finally arrived. Each time I was told the request must not have gone through. Lastly, the amount of smoke in the casino and surrounding areas was overwhelming. The smell of cigarettes and weed was everywhere. Overall, I was disappointed with the stay, although the food options were great.

The public areas were in pretty good condition, but our room in the Chelsea Tower was not. In the bathroom, the towel bar and toilet paper holder were falling off the wall. Paint was chipped, furnishings were grubby and outdated. We saw active leaks in a few areas of the property. Generally the whole place just looked and felt tired.

My daughter(25) and son(21) booked at the Tropicana to experience Atlantic City for the first time. Booking was easy as well as check-in, however after taking in a show and returning to the Trop to gamble, they gambled for an hour+ then they were removed from the gambling floor bc they were unable to verify my son’s state issued, real ID endorsed driver’s license. I was contacted in the middle of the night because they were so upset about “the man in the oversized suit” being so rude getting in my son’s face accusing him of using a fake ID then making him cash out and leave, never telling him why his license was unacceptable. I suggested they try a different casino to see if it’s a system problem or a Tropicana problem. They gambled at Ocean before leaving AC and had no problem. Tropicana and staff was the problem. They enjoyed Ocean. Great brunch, ambience, and they actually had cocktail waitresses (said they didn’t see any at the Trop). Choose wisely!

The room that it was originally putting in was absolutely horrible. It was dirty. There was stuff on the side of the nightstands underneath the glass that sat on top of the nightstands and the desk that the TV sat on stuff on the wall near the garbage cans. The bathroom vanity was dusty and water spotted all over the place. I went down to the front desk. They need to a different tower which was 100% better and the lady was super helpful. I did have to pay an up charge fee which I didn’t think I should’ve had to but the Chelsea Tower is definitely a no go. Thank you again to the woman at the front desk, she did all she could to help me

First there was a kids cheerleading or some kinda sports convention thing going on and my floor must had all kids because I couldn’t sleep with them in out of their rooms and being very loud well into the midnight. Then the linen didn’t smell fresh or the pillows something was off. The water and heat wasn’t easy to control and was very uncomfortable. This is like my second or third time in all my years visiting and I will never book a room again. The club life was loud and police were dispatched for something. Worst experience ever.

We were thrown over to the Chelsea tower where you had to wait in line for 20-30 minutes just to get to the elevator where the bridge was. Then once you got to the bridge floor you had to walk 10 minutes to the Chelsea elevators. Our floor was extremely dated. We were in room 1512 where the water in the show barely got warm. The room was warm and stuffy and we turned the AC down to 69 and the temperature never went down and the temperature was stuck on 74 which was what it was set on when we got there. It was so hot! We usually stay at the Borgata and decided to the Tropicana instead. Never ever again!!!!

The hear in my room didn’t work and it got very cold at night. No extra blankets in the toom and it took forever for front desk to answer the phone to request them. There was animal hair on my socks, so idk if they vacuum thoroughly. On top of that, I went to my room 5 minutes after check-out time and room service had already took my belongings and “couldn’t locate them” before I left smh. Additionally, most of the people I traveled with woke up with headaches, stuffy noses and/or flu-like symptoms after staying in Chelsea Tower. I talked with other people who stayed and they experienced the same symptoms smh. However, the Valet service employees were nice.

The room was dingy, the pool wasn't open our entire stay even when it was stated online it would be open thursday. Need more family friendly activities for events like cheer and dance competitions. Everywhere smelled of cigarettes even non smoking rooms. Maybe put them on the opposite side of the smoking area of the casino. The decor was very outdated. The kiosks were out of order. The staff had no information and were difficult to find. I didnt get my final bill after i called for check out. Calling is an entire process and its automated service after automated service.

Place could use a major update. The cost was OK. Breakfast at Hash House sucked. A comedy show was rough. There’s a lot of places to walk around at least, as we went during the winter. I’m the dumbest thing was that there are no day passes for the spa on a Saturday the whole reason of going to the casino is to hit the hot tubs and stuff, but they don’t offer day passes on Saturdays and we’re sold out of all their services.
