We were expecting a typical US suite when we booked this. We were blown away by the property. Separate king-size bedrooms with their own bathrooms, full kitchen, small pool, deck overlooking the beach. It was amazing place and are anxious to stay there again.

This was an amazing property. My only small complaints were that our shower barely drained and the bath towels smelled dingy/not freshly laundered. The pool in our unit was SOOOOO HOT, thus not refreshing, but only mother nature's relentless sunshine caused that issue. Maybe a shade of some sort over the pool can help with that problem, but it didn't make our vacation any less wonderful! The hotel's main pool was nice and cool so we found ourselves there often. The beach was just steps away, which provided a good breeze. Everyone we encountered was very friendly. Dulce' was our chef and was amazing. Every dish she made was perfect! She had fresh guac, pico and margaritas ready for our arrival and I've never tasted better. The views from our balcony were beautiful. We loved watching the sunsets every evening. We walked around every day, enjoying the shops and one night had a great meal at a nearby beach restaurant. We are already looking to return next summer.

Vallarta Old School Glam.

Amazing property, on the ocean my one bedroom suite on the first floor with private pool was much more than I expected. Very spacious and well appointed. Decor was very old school Vallarta charm. Full kitchen, dining room, living room and large bath with great water pressure. And the view of the ocean spectacular. Staff was very friendly and had no issues with friends that came over to hang out at my pool. Room 4 highly recommended.

Not a place for a relaxing vacation unless you leave during the day. The property would be much better if it was not next to 2 loud, very popular beach clubs that played nightclub music so loudly that from 12pm- 8 you can not enjoy the beach. You feel the thumping even from your room. Families from this hotel rarely were at the beach in front but would leave or walk down the beach even though it was busier down there. It’s too bad because it really is a pretty spot and is absolutely beautiful in the morning. If you’re in the lower units it’s bright at night bc there are big spotlights on the beach and a drive in front of the place which can be noisy. The staff is pretty hands off but if you need something they are responsive. If you’re looking for a party, this is your spot!

This was an amazing experience! We randomly found this hotel while searching for a private pool in suite, and am so happy we did! Our Chef, Edwin, was the best. He cooked some of the most amazing meals ever. He always cooked with the freshest ingredients and was able to accommodate the needs of our 1 year old daughter as well. The place was cleaned daily by Isabel, who was very kind and did a great job. Zona Romantica and the Malecon are an easy walk, there's a shortcut through the beach, to nearby shops and restaurants. I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing vacation and can't wait to go back!

We are a family of 6. We had 3 large bedrooms and bath rooms. Living area and kitchen along with our own pool and view of the beach. It was great for all of us and to be able to be together. The best thing is you had your own personal chef that would cook 2 meals a day. Our chef was friendly and was a great cook and did everything form shopping for our meals, preparing, serving and cleaning up! Does not get better than that. Overall a very nice vacation.

The place is beautiful. The chef, Raul, was kind, funny and his food was absolutely delish! We Stayed in the three bedroom Sky Suite B for my mom’s 77th. It was perfect for the four of us Gorgeous sunsets and shops are steps away, as you walk along the beach. We are already making plans to go back!

It was a great experience but not knowing the location we weren’t aware of the gay culture there and although we don’t have any issue personally we had kids in the pool and we were able to look down on the pool below us and there were 4 naked gentlemen so it wasn’t good for the kids. It should have been mentioned, or maybe adults only! We’ll definitely go back but adults only of course!

This was my second stay here both times with family members and children. Having a private pool is perfect if you have children. Staff is attentive and communication via email is great. Beach area is updated with a pool and lounging area. Would not hesitate to stay here again and I am sure I will.

It is at the very end of the malecón road so just be aware some walking is necessary so some people may not like that.

This property was amazing, beautiful ocean front view, we had our own pool, the individual rooms and bathrooms were well appointed. the living area was spacious and furnished well. The personal chef made our trip, he stocked the fridge for us and the meals were incredible! the hotel staff was friendly and helped us with spa services and transportation. We were right in town walkable to everything. The beach out front was gorgeous and the hotel pool was also nice. I highly recommend Vallarta Shores. We had a fabulous time.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Vallarta Shores and would definitely book again the next time we are in PV. Lovely, spacious suite with a breath-taking view; friendly, helpful staff; and a well-maintained pool/jacuzzi area overlooking the beach. It is a bit of a walk to the \"downtown action\", but that can be a good thing ... being at the end of the beach gives this property a more secluded feeling despite the crowds along Los Muertos beach. Initially, we were concerned about the night club next door, but the music was never too loud and it usually stopped around 10. We highly recommend this property for a relaxing getaway in paradise.

The rooms are nice. The views are some of the best in PV. Close to the malecon and great restaurants. The hot tub was cold and most of the jets didn't work. The hot water didn't work in the bathroom sink the door handle to our bedroom fell off. The staff was wonderful.

AMAZING! This was our first time here and we didn’t know what to expect…the hotel is located in a quaint, walkable location with a popular boardwalk nearby.
Our chef Raoul was exceptional and very friendly. Even though I enjoyed everything we did, our stay in the sky suite with the wonderful view, the chef, and the private pool was the highlight. We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves coming back to PV.

First time in PV and we absolutely loved Vallarta Shores. The room was so spacious and felt so luxurious. My favorite part was the view of the ocean and beautiful sunset every night. This is our third trip to PV and lucky for us, the hotel we usually stay at was sold out. We searhced for a comparable place based on reviews and landed on Vallarta Shores. What a great choice! We are already planning our return because this experience is far and above any hotel we have ever experienced! We stayed in Suite “D” which is the smallest of the sky suites but still had more than ample space for 5 of us to spread out and have our own space or to gather for breakfast or dinner prepared by our wonderful personal chef, Barbie. She immediately put us at ease and was incredibly accomodating with every request we had. We were staying with another family who was staying in one of the two bedroom suites. We wanted to start the day together and Barbie would cook a delicious breakfast for all 9 of us to enjoy in our suite. The property location is perfect for sightseeing or just staying put and enjoying the grat beach in front or relaxing in your private pool. Taxis are readily available and cheap to get anywhere you want to go. Disregard all the reviews about loud music. Sure, you can hear it but it was not loud enough to be an inconvenience. We can’t wait to return and soak up some more of that wondeful mexican hospitality and sun! Thank you Vallarta Shores!

Construction is ongoing and loud next door and they used one of our closets as storage for dusty adult diapers, gloves bins and steel compartments!

Vallarta Shores was a great place to stay. I loved being right on the beach, having a kitchen, and the huge balcony. The staff was helpful and friendly and the maid service was timely each day. It's close enough to everything but far enough away to be a little quieter than if we were in the middle of it. We really enjoyed the location and would absolutely return. Thank you!

This place is one of my favorite places to stay at. It is at a great location. The view you get is priceless, the staff is very friendly. The hotel/condo is close enough to party and have a nice quiet time to relax as well. It’s a hidden gem in the heart of the Romantic Zone. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous with amazing views of the ocean. I highly recommend it if you want to impress that special person, you will build amazing memories at this place..

Wow, this hotel was perfect for what I was looking for! I wanted to celebrate a promotion at work with a week of just chilling on the beach/pool, drinking and eating great dinners. Ok telling you this place is “on” the beach, there ain’t no “close to” or “short walk” I’m talking you walk out if reception and it’s there. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom had a rain shower, I never used to living room area but the full kitchen actually did come in handy. But I mainly sat on the awesome patio with a drink when I was actually in the room. They had construction going on right above my room that started around lunch time. One day I was sleeping late and it started. I went to reception and politely complained. They asked if it was possible I could deal with it for a couple hours. I said sure and walked down the beach for a few drinks. When I got back there was a bottle of Kettle One Vodka and mixers waiting for me, as a gift for my trouble. But, it wasn’t really a big deal to me, just slightly annoying a couple times.

Great stay

Stayed the last two nights of a 9 day vacation. Hotel is located at the far South end of the Malecon and has a beautiful beach and pool area with great oceanfront views. Staff was very polite, efficient and attentive. Grounds were clean and constantly maintained.

We stayed in the sky suites, and they are very comfortable, although they are in desperate need of maintenance, specially the worn out furniture. But if you're not as picky as I am they are definitely a great choice specially if you're traveling with family.

Room was nice, building was nice, A/C in Living room/Kitchen did not work, personnel at front desk did not care that A/C did not work, personnel at front desk always seems to be busy doing something other than taking care of the customers in the facility, entire facility has tops 12 rooms, how can it be 2 people working the Front Desk were so consumed with managing these 12 rooms??? could not understand why they were always on computer... We loved the location, the staff and the hotel itself...would give it full marks except for the constant disco beat day and night from the outdoor club next door. Volume annoying most nights...had to close the sliding doors to sleep...but a wedding at the club one night was over the top loud and didn’t quit until 2 am. Sleep was not possible even with ear plugs jammed in. Talking to fellow guests in the morning we found all were as upset as we were and none had slept. Too bad because everything else about the hotel is great but we can’t recommend it unless you plan to spend each night at the club next door

The beach and area was beautiful. The suite we were in could be magnificent if it were updated. Needed several repairs also. The people are terrific! Now for the things that probable can't be fixed: The booming noise from next door seemed to funnel directly into our suite, began very early in the day, and was constant all day for most of our stay. There was no way to block out the thump. Also I don't know if more research would have helped but we had no idea that the area was primarily gay and although it was no problem it was quit a surprise. Some behavior in other suites was inappropriate and I was glad we didn't have our grandchildren with us. Management was great and took care of it as soon as they were informed.

I did hear some of the music others spoke about in reviews. there is a club down the street that you can hear music blasting at night. Not to loud inside the room, but you can hear it when you are outside. Not the hotels fault.

Wonderful!

This location was a suite. I went with two friends and we each had our own HUGE rooms. THe pool was great, the kitchen area was spacious and the entire layout of the suite was breathtaking. Three separate bedrooms with king size beds. It was right on the beach!! A bit expensive but definitely worth what you pay for.

Great Sky Suites Right on the Ocean

The good - We had a great Sky Suite. This hotel is only one of a few in PV in the \"Zona de Romatica\" that is right on the ocean/beach, no street separation. The open air suites are magnificent. Stunning sunsets and ocean/beach views, nice open air living space with kitchen, living room, and dinning outside with a private pool. The private chef (Daniela) we had made amazing Mexican breakfasts and lunches for us. One of our friends said of the chef, \"Daniela was the best part of this vacation.\" The bedrooms are in the back of the full suite, but all have a/c and windows into the suite and you can hear the ocean at night and it was a lovely sound. All hotel staff including hotel manager was attentive and very good. The hotel is smaller so very private and unique. The hotel is very clean. -- We will stay there again!

The caution: The open air Sky suites look down upon each other, so noise in one suite travels to others. On our first night, there was a party in the suite above us, loud music, screaming, etc. Two calls to the night manager and it was solved. I discussed with the hotel manager the next day and he said it will not happen again and he was correct. We were pleased. The private pool in our suite needs some updating as does the tile etc., but it was fine and we used it many times each day.

Don't let the head photo fool you.

Pool was super small. We had the ground floor at the 4 parking spots. Was very noisy too. Not what the lead photo showed. Not worth the price & no frills.
