Amapas Apartments offers studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments. We are located steps from “Los Muertos” New Pier and beach, in Puerto Vallarta's Romantic Zone.

Also known as “Old Vallarta”, this area has many restaurants, art galleries and bars, being one of the most attractive neighborhoods of the region. Vallarta's Malecón is about 8 minutes by foot and our International Airport about 30 minutes.

Amapas Apartments has 19 units, a small pool in our terrace, with ocean and mountain view, concierge and free wifi connection in all units. A well-behaved small dog per unit is allowed.

We speak Spanish and English. Details:-Adults only.

We had a wonderful stay at Amapas Apartments. Location was fantastic, one block from the beaches and close to amazing restaurants and shops and easy to get to local busses. Staff were excellent, especially Jessica, her sweet pup, Laszlo, and the maintenance man. We will definitely plan to come back!

The property is very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The beach is very accessible only a 5 minute walk. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within close proximity. The price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend staying here. I will definitely stay here again

I had a wonderful stay at Amapas Apartments! The location was perfect, the apartment was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing getaway. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming.

The only thing I would change is adding a bit more airflow in the lobby area — maybe some fans or air conditioning to keep it a little fresher. Other than that, everything was absolutely perfect. I would definitely stay here again!

Location is great, just a few minutes walk to the pier. Across from the beach, lots of restaurants nearby.
Make sure you have information on checking in as front door is locked and there is no \"front desk\" to speak of. Make sure there is someone at the office to open the front door for you when you check in. Message Amapas to get their info. Maid service is only once a week on Mondays but you can request extra towels as well.
Great value for location and a one bedroom unit with living area and kitchen as well. Small balcony with partial view of the ocean.

This is my second time at this property. The guy who checks you in is so friendly and helpful. The apartments are roomy, clean and have a nice kitchenette, AC, balcony with a partial view of the ocean… right in the zone romantica and steps from the beach, clubs and restaurants.

The apartment was a great size for 1-2 people. It was nice to have a table and chairs as well as the kitchen. The kitchen has the bare minimum needed to prepare meals, but no oils, salt & pepper etc. They did provide me with dish soap and sponge for cleaning up, and there’s an iron and ironing board in the closet on each floor.

The building is very clean. It’s not brand new but it’s quite nice for the price. Laszlo communicated well and helped me with my luggage which was much appreciated.

The “pool” on the roof is tiny and the water was way too warm to be refreshing. I would have preferred to be able to use it after 8pm.

The room was spacious and affordable. What I liked the most was how the staff members were accommodating, allowing me to use their phones and computers when I was robbed of my phone and wallet so that I could get back home safely. It was a great stay overall..I had an issue with a WiFi, I had to work during my stay and it was impossible to use the WiFi in the dinning area which it was the most convenient one for that propuse..other than that a great place to stay.

Bedding was not great and location of bed was undesirable as it was next to the entry door to the apartment and the living room was set to the back of the apartment. The stuff was amazing, they was so nice, the problem was about the bed , it was a real hard wood, I ask with the stuff if I can move to another room and pay any diference but the owner just want the money for another booking, only I recomend if you dont have problems sleeping in the floor you can be here but if you don't wanna done whit serius pain in your back and neck this place is not for you, the place is close to the beach and look good but I rented here for sleep.

This is always an excellent choice for the Zona Romantica in Puerto Vallarta close to all the main attractions close to excellent restaurants and close to all the beautiful beaches. My second stay there. The property managers are great. Excellent location in the heart of the Romantic Zone. Very walkable. You’ll need to supply a few basics for the kitchen. Paper towels, dish soap.
No elevator. Property has 3 floors. I had 1 BR partial ocean view.

I stayed in Amapas Apts quite often over the years and so thought I would stay again. The room was good and it is a great location.
However, the friendliness I once remembered is gone. The young office supervisor was not friendly or welcoming, blamed the computer for all decisions and if questioned, became extremely defensive. I will be contacting the owner.

Apartment was very clean and pleasant. Laslo was great! Note the Wifi only worked in the bedroom. Building has 3 floors, no elevator . Nice little wading pool and view to the ocean. Area is pretty congested but felt safe. Plenty of tourist cops patrolling consistently. Overall a nice experience. A bit pricey. Lots of food choices in area for all budgets.

The place is nice and quiet and comfortable, however the WiFi is only in the bedroom making it very unsatisfactory to use. Only one blanket in the room and 2 pillows, the bed is not comfortable at all. The pool water is dirty and they do not keep the filters on making the water filthy. But overall everything else was fine. The staff is awesome.

This property is excellent! It is just across the street from the beach. The cleaning lady did an excellent job of cleaning. When I came in the first thing I smelled was bleach which i love because i know it was cleaned well. The area is incredibly safe. There always cabs and Ubers in the area to get around. It’s very quiet in the area. The staff were great at helping me with anything in needed. There is a convenient store just outside the building to get any supplies you may need. There is great shopping and restaurants all in walking distance. This place is 10/10

Perfect location. Had a 1 BR with a beautiful view and balcony. The hosts are very accomodating. Very nice apartment. Cleaning service came in once during the week. This was enough for me. I prefer it to someone coming in every day. If you need any extras they will accomodate. You may need to supply some basics for the kitchen. No elevator. Overall, I was very pleased. Actually felt safer than a hotel, because you need a key to get into the property. Can't comment on the rooftop amenities. I did not use them. I will book here again.

Excellent location. Very dated but clean. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Biggest complaint was the bed. Maybe the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. We paid a lot as it was over New Year’s and it was extremely overpriced for what it was but normally a great deal for location. There is also no elevator and we were on the 3rd floor. Not a problem for us but could be for others.

Our biggest perk is the ability to take a two-block hike from the hotel, walking on stone-paved roads beeming with cozy little restaurants, to stand in front of the magnificence of the Pacific Ocean and its particularly beautiful waters. Our family-owned boutique hotel holds to a traditional Mexican motif without elevators or handicap service ramps.

Although we do maintain two suites at the ground level, the remainder of the hotel (including the lobby and pool areas) is only accessible via stairwell. For that reason, we don't recommend Hotel Amaca for our guests with reduced mobility, although we're of course happy to make accommodations as possible.
