This property is in need of some maintenance and upkeep. Our air conditioning unit leaked our entire stay. Our sink clogged and wouldn't drain. Paint chipping off walls, etc. Many more examples that I could give.

The only think I liked about this hotel was the penthouse where we stayed And the Guys in the bar downstairs were friendly and attentive. Dont expect to be checked in early. Pool water is cold. Front Desk Staff Rude. No Breakfast nothing special. Large deposit That wasn't put back in my credit card till the 9th day.

The property itself is attractive and staff is friendly. A huge word of caution though! The tile floors in apt and patio are EXTREMELY slick, in part due to the high humidity/moisture in the air! Within the first 30 minutes in apt, I slipped stepping out of the jacuzzi (note: I am fit and was not under the influence of alcohol) and fractured my wrist in 2 places, had to get stitches on my forehead and sustained a mild concussion. Staff came to room and advised urgent care. I ended up hospitalized for the duration of our vacation. No offer for compensation was made by Pinnacle for the horrible experience. I understand accidents happen, but at the very least the owner of unit 506 should put up a cautionary sign and a handrail by the jacuzzi to avoid potential liability. I wouldn't want anyone's vacation in a lovely location to be ruined by an avoidable injury. That being said, MedAssist is within walking distance and all the nurses and physicians were very kind stabilizing me back to be able to return home.

Pros: Clean, gorgeous views.

Cons: No safety measures in place surrounding jacuzzi or attempt by Pinnacle to make compensation for this poor experience.

Loved Pinnacle 180. We had the perfect room with the best view! It’s in Zona Romantica but away from the noise. The hotel sits on a hill but has a free funicular to takes us to our hotel so we weren’t deterred to go out for something small like coffee, churros or ice cream. The Malecon was an easy walk away, ~ 5 minutes. The room has everything you need to cook a full spread if you like. Gresy was our housekeeper and did a fabulous job. Although I wish we had the option to decline washing our linens and towels daily. We come from drought-ridden California so we’re conscious about water conservation. We finally figured out we could just write a note in our broken Spanish. The infinity pool was refreshing although small, and had a beautiful view. Poolside drinks and food was excellent, loved the berry salad and taquitos!! The only downside was that the closest beach, Los Muertos, was not the most scenic and quite crowded but you can catch all the private boats and water taxis from the iconic pier to seeks other beaches and action elsewhere. Conchas Chinas beach was much more scenic and apparently if the water is calm, you’d be able to snorkel from there. Luckily, it’s a few Uber bucks away. If you’re looking to hang out at a large resort and plan to spend most of your time there, this is not really your place. To me, this hotel was a gorgeous place to relax, but also a great place to be near the restaurants and action! We’d rebook here in a heartbeat!

Just Stunning!!

This place! AMAZING! Just a few blocks from the beach, but the view is stunning! Very modern style and plenty of amenities to keep you busy if you don’t want to go out anywhere. The building is right in the center of Zona Romatico and it’s a great vibe! We loved our stayed and nightly recommend. We will be back!

Nice place, but over rated. That \"HOT TUB\" that's in all the pictures is a joke. One of the reasons we picked this room is because of the hot tub. It did not get hot. When we asked for service, we were laughed at and made to feel stupid. Will be staying someplace else next time.

3rd time staying here. New constructions keep reducing the beautiful views and creates noise.

New policies prevent storing bags for longer than a day, but no real explanation on why this has changed was given. This makes smaller excursions to nearby remote destinations more challenging and costly. Very unfortunate changes happening at 180.

My suite was beautiful! I had a gorgeous ocean view. The hot tub was fantastic. The decor was amazing. My bed was very comfortable. I felt very safe. The bar downstairs was fully stocked and made excellent cocktails. We saw whale spouting from the balcony. The afternoon breezes were terrific!

The rooms were nice and clean, staff was a little rude. There was construction in front of the building and our balcony so we heard loud noises all day. Also the construction workers were staring at us the whole time in our room because there were no curtains for the windows. We didn’t get in the balcony jacuzzi until late because the construction workers kept staring at us, would have appreciated if they would have let us know ahead of time of the construction in front of our room/balcony.

We really enjoyed this hotel , we will be returning again. Very beautiful place. About a 5 minutes walk to beach and a great location.

Only downfall was the construction across the street. However there is super heavy and thick doors to block out most of the sound.
All in all it was a great experience.

Great vacation rental!
Pros: Very nicely appointed. It had a luxurious feel to it. The balcony is large, however our unit did not have a jacuzzi. The view was pretty good. The location is great. The beach was a 5 min walk away and there were plenty of shops and restaurants in the area. The condo was very clean and extremely comfortable.

Cons: Currently building another condo building just across the driveway. The view is partially obstructed by the building across the street but it’s still pretty good. Steep hill to get back to the condo after going out in town by foot. There is an tram to make going up much easier. No black out shades in the master bedroom.

Excellent location and very professional and friendly staff. The 2BR/2BA condo was extremely comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. The balcony was enormous and I was able to smoke on it with the patio doors closed which was greatly appreciated. I only wish there was a coffee lounge right on the property (I hate making coffee myself) but there is a charming Cafe just outside the front door.

Room was dirty and horrible. didn't get what we paid for. complained to Diana at front desk and she was no help. Didn't care. Lied about room selections. Gave us worse room on property. Lots of leaks in bedroom, horrible smell coming from dishwasher. Room was not cleaned throughly. when we complained, no options were offered. Charged our 2 guests 40 bucks each to get in pool and guest were purchasing drinks/ food from them. Not good business.

Make sure you get the right room

I didn’t get the room I paid for. I booked an Ocean View room and they gave me a Partial Ocean View. I went downstairs to let them know but they didn’t resolve the issue. They told me that “Partial Ocean View” was the same for “Ocean View” So I said Partial means “part of the view”. I am so disappointed. Also, I didn’t want a Jacuzzi and the room they gave me had a jacuzzi (which at the end didn’t work either). Not staying there again. 😡

Pinnacle 180 is my favorite place to stay while in PVR. The rooms are larger than the other two buildings. The ocean view rooms are incredible. The cable has both English and Spanish channels. The internet allowed me to work remotely with no issues at all. This location is the best as its right around everything.

The staff was friendly and the resort was nice. They did a great job with Covid safety measures. I wanted to love the place, however we paid for a room that had a hot tub, but unfortunately wasn't able to use it. We were told that the HT would take 20 minutes to warm from the maintenance. When it wasn't warming we called down to the front desk and were then told it would take 3 hours. Having known this, we would have turned it on before dinner. Unfortunately, we discovered that this wouldn't have mattered regardless. Three hours later we tried again and it was still cold. After leaving it on over night, we were able to use it quickly in the morning before check-out. Hotel policy should be: If you reserve a room with a HT, the staff should turn it on for your arrival. I understand keeping it off for energy saving purposes, but if people are renting a room with a HT, it's pretty likely that they would want to use it. We expressed this to front desk in the morning, but it was clear that she wasn't interested in the feedback. She just nodded her head. A better response might have been to rebate the money we paid for the HT, extra $30. Great place to stay for location and view, but I would save your $30 and not rent with the HT, or call ahead to make sure they turn it on.

I would caution anyone booking here, to look at other alternative properties. Resort doesn't really reflect well with this property! I've been to PVR a few times and this place was was pretty bad on an array of levels. For starters, the rooms are relatively small, the wide angle lens is misleading along with the fact some photos do not represent the room you book. There was mold in the hot tub, maintenance looked at it, scrubbed it a bit then gave up. There is no rooftop Infiniti pool at this location. It's on the ground level, literally sits in the shade and no one uses it. They will charge you to use any of the surrounding property pools that actually are on the roof. We went to one and were treated poorly because we needed to pay. Seems a bit ridiculous. Also, the housekeeping does all laundry in the room (linen and towels) in the washer and dryer, so every time you want the room cleaned, plan on having the washer and dryer tied up. They have no central place to wash things. I was surprised to see some of the reviews on this place, but perhaps now that COVID has impacted business the bar has dropped. Definitely won't be back here again. Last tip, don't waste money on the onsite COVID testing they offer for a ridiculous amount of money. You can find many cheaper alternatives and clinics.

This place was awesome and we would book again. We went for the weekend to celebrate my husbands birthday and there were no regrets. All the employees were super nice and helpful, but mostly Jhoba, Ramon, & Leo. We felt so welcomed. We got the suite with the jacuzzi and it was clean and the view was awesome. The pool had the best view as well and it was clean, beautiful, and the swim up bar was great. We walked pretty much everywhere since Everything from the beach, shopping and restaurants were very close by. I can’t wait to go back. Great first experience!

Let me start off by saying.... Spectacular!! Great experience from the moment we arrived from our Uber to the hotel! The moment we arrived someone was there to open our door and trunk ready to grab our luggage and walk us into the reception desk, from this point I was very amazed that the luxury feel to our stay was going to be astonishing! Front desk was nice and helpful and they’re English is pretty good. First time staying here and I got to say I was very spectacle by the previous experiences by other travelers that stated rude service, construction and etc. I didn’t see any of that or hear any of that! The service and hospitality were top class! Very friendly staff! Clean room and no construction noise what's so ever, at least I didn’t hear any from the second floor. Hot tub worked just fine and so did washer and dryer, the view was amazing. I asked front desk to send someone to clean my room while my girl and I went out for a walk in the Malecon and by the time we arrived our dishes were washed, towels were in the dryer, and our bed was made. I said ‘omg they are amazing!’ when we returned from our walk. In conclusion like I said my stay was Spectacular! I will return to The Pinnacle 180, Thanks for the memories!

Super clean and modern hotel, great service. We got the deluxe 2 bedroom suite with ocean view and everything in the room was perfect, including having the very large balcony, modern appliances, nice big comfy beds, and washer/dryer. This was our favorite place we stayed during Mexico.
Short walk to the beach and lots of shops and restaurants, along with the best views.

I liked this apartment-style hotel. It is located very close to the beach, but there is a catch. It is at the top of a hill,and climbing all the way up is not that easy, there are a lot of stairs. The good news is that there is a little tram which can pick you up and bring you all the way up,and also down.It belongs to the hotel and you can use it for free. The hotel’s building is pretty new and totally updated both outside and inside.There is an amazing swimming pool on the first floor. It is kind of small, but there is enough space to swim there.There is a cute area to chill around the swimming pool with a bar. They have some food selection, but I found the menu very boring.Also there is a little gym which you can use for free. The hotel is very secure. You can not have guests there without letting front desk know an advance.My check-in was good.I got a Standard King-Bed room on the 3rd floor (#307) with an amazing city and ocean view! It was pretty clean, but not ideally clean (there was a lot of dust under the bed).But housecleaning was very accommodating and quick to clean the room when I needed it clean.The room was pretty much updated and I liked its style. It had a washer and dryer in the unit. The room had a full kitchen, which was also a big plus. I liked the bed, it was comfy. The big issue with the bathroom in addition to no bathtub, was there was no hot water every single day during my entire stay.Wi-Fi was working very bad all the time.

Amazing ocean view form the unit and from the lobby pool. The unit was very spacious and beautifully decorated with designer artwork and custom lighting. The only downside was the bed in unit 107, it is saggy and made for a bad night's sleep and an achy back in the morning. If management reads this, I hope you can have someone spend a night in that bed; it definitely needs to be changed! If it weren't for the bed it would have been a truly extraordinary stay as the unit is beautiful.

This was my fifth stay at Pinnacle 180. The staff at reception are very welcoming, able to answer questions about the condos and new Pinnacle bar across the street. The neighborhood is ideally situated in the zone Romantica, close to some wonderful restaurants or morning/evening walks along the Malacon. The daily room service was efficient and thorough. Gracias.

Wonderful place to stay

My Stay was great, All front desk folks where wonderful, Brenda stands out because she acted as a concierge, for the party I had by the pool area. I have stayed many times, and I will continue to do so, see you in May, Thanks Tony

The boutique feel of this property and the amazing views from our room prompted us to stay 4 days longer than we planned.

The access to the beach, Old Town, and the Melacon were fantastic as well.

We have stayed at the Pinnacle several times - it's always lovely. This time however, we felt things slide unfortunately. We like to take advantage of the kitchen - but the kitchenware was not what it used to be. The fridge had not been cleaned either when we arrived. The constant construction noise is just grating, and the breathtaking views that once were....are gone with new construction.

I wish I was inform about constructions next door. Being woken up with jackhammer is not fun. Wanted to relocate but property management are not flexible with the cancellation policy or even relocating. I think twice before booking. Room was clean but the washer in the unit is smelly.

Pinnacle Resorts, I have been visiting you now for several years now. I stayed at your 220 location and was amazed with the staff and the amenities. This time I wanted to upgrade my trip and experience by staying at your 220 location. Unfortunately we did not have the best time staying at this location. We loved the room, the views, the and some of the staff. I would have to say \"some\" of the staff because I felt like I was being accused or belittled every time I came to your pool location or just to the front door at the \"after hours\" time. We checked on a Tuesday; very little to know one staying there during this time. We introduced ourselves to the staff, as I was staying there with my partner, and I felt very comfortable. Until, we had encountered a very rude security guard, a pushy bar tending staff, and an ignorant front desk host. On our 3rd night/mid day we decided to go to the pool, we were asked several times what room we were in. We were asked every time we ordered a drink; in which we ordered 3 rounds of drinks, how annoying? Especially seeing as we told several of the host and bar tending staff that we were going to be paying out of pocket with Pesos. Then that very night when we went out on the nightlife tours of the bars in the local area where we came back to \"home\" at 2AM we were stopped at the front area of security and asked to go see the front desk to get credentials. I was shocked at the 2 previous nights we had no issues with coming back into location

The staff was amazing from the moment we arrived. The unit was nothing short of spectacular. The jacuzzi on the balcony was an amazing way to end your busy day. The patio doors slide into the wall to create an amazing experience and to sure you take in the full experience. Overall we are very happy with our stay at Pinnacle Resorts 180.
