The location is very well located on a great beach. Service staff are very good and responsive throughout the resort. The food was very good including the coffee bar. The gym was very well equipped. We did not use the spa because of the extra charges for the jacuzzi,
sauna and steam…we felt these should be
included for the room price. Pools were all very nice and maintained, never felt crowded.
Our room was not cleaned properly when we arrived especially the bathroom, with hair in the sink

We recently stayed at this resort and what could have been a stressful vacation due to an unforeseen situation turned into an experience that reminded us why we love this resort so much.

The hotel staff immediately followed all safety protocols and reassured every guest with calm professionalism. Even with everything going on, guests including us continued to enjoy the resort safely and comfortably.

I'd like to give special thanks to several incredible team members whose kindness and professionalism made our stay unforgettable:
Marcos, Alejandra, Yaneli and Osadis from the buffet restaurant, who treated us with the utmost respect and made every meal warm and welcoming.

The Ziva staff were wonderful especially under very stressful conditions. They were very courteous and cheerful and always greeted us with a smile.
The grounds are immaculate and the pools are well maintained.
Unfortunately, we feel the hotel does need to address several deficiencies, in particular with the toilet facilities around the pools. We found significant flooding on the floor under urinals and one toilet had a missing toilet seat.

The overall experience was great from the moment we entered. Staff was very accommodating and helpful throughout the time we spent there Jose, our server at the cabanas was outstanding and always going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and attended to. For the most part the food was good but found there could’ve been one more dinning option. However, it was nice that you weren’t limited on what you could order good ask for more of something or additional items. Housekeeping was overall good except for they never came at the same time and sometimes showed up after we got back for the day around 4:30/5:00 pm. There was plenty to do on the property as well as options to explore around. We loved the kayaking off the beach. The massages we got at the spa were one of the best I’ve ever had. It also allowed for one hour of spa amenities yes such as the jetted tubs or sauna. The air conditioning in the room never seemed to get the room cool enough for our liking but it was comfortable. Plenty of space in the room for the 3 adults. I do wish there was more nightlife activities or even just a dj playing music to dance to. I would definitely come back again!

Our stay at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The resort is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and set in a stunning, secluded location. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and housekeeping did an excellent job every day.

The staff truly made the experience exceptional…everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food offered great variety and quality, the amenities were top-notch, and the overall atmosphere was the perfect balance of relaxing and fun.

One of the most unforgettable highlights of our stay was the whale watching. Being able to see whales breaching and swimming so close to shore… sometimes right from the resort… was absolutely breathtaking. Experiencing something so rare and magical added an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime element to our vacation.

This resort exceeded our expectations in every way. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, stress-free all-inclusive experience in Puerto Vallarta.

Incredible time for our family of five. True relaxation which is hard to achieve on family trips! Gorgeous setting, great staff. Loved yoga with Brenda and the entertainment team (high quality shows every single night) and the Kids Club staff (my 5yo misses them). Buffet food was unique and delicious and made from scratch. I tried many new things. And that ocean sound…sublime!

Where do I start, the whole exterior needs a paint job & renovation. The exterior looks very outdated. We were welcome to our suite to have pool towels instead of a full set of guests towels, bathroom glass walls were smudgy with finger prints & etc, the sink had a sewer stinch, our fridge had very minimum beverages, Blaze restaurant gave me Mexican coffee with part of a dead bee’s body…I thought it was a worm but the waiter Ivan said; it’s not a worm; it’s a bee & they get in there because of the brown sugar. As if having a bee is better than a worm . It’s not a 4 1/2 hotel rating; more like a 3 Star…,please correct their rating ASAP. We are use to staying in the RIU Hotels…..the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta is definitely a downgrade from the RIU Hotels

Hotel was located on a beautiful stretch of beach. The restaurants were good and the pools were nice too. I think there could have been more staff interaction and quicker service but overall, the staff did their job well and attempted to anticipate your needs. I wish there were more places to sit near the pool as it was sometimes hard to get a seat.

Staff at the resort was amazing! Ivan, David and Alex were great at the cabanas. Hector was always great to see in the morning at the buffet. Rooms, beach and pool areas were always clean and taken care of. If there was an issue, staff was quick to fix the problem. We spent our time on resort just relaxing and there were plenty of food options and the activities team kept things lively. Definitely going back!

Outstanding stay from start to finish.

I was greeted by Ezequiel from bell services. He has worked at the property for many years and still delivers warm, genuine service. He welcomes guests with the energy of someone excited to be there. It sets the tone immediately.

Registration was fast and seamless. The front desk already had all reservation details from Hotels.com. No delays. No back and forth.

The room exceeded expectations. The view was beautiful. The room was quiet, very clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Rest came easy. There were plenty of outlets to charge phones and devices, which shows attention to real guest needs.

Every employee went above and beyond. Staff members were attentive, proactive, and clearly proud of their work. You feel taken care of at every step. The operation feels organized and calm.

Pools and restaurants were excellent. They never felt crowded. Service remained consistent throughout the stay.

The resort was fabulous in that it was very clean, had a lot of activities scheduled, with lots of pool options and restaurants. We loved our swim-up pool room! The beach was even better than expected! The NYE party on the beach was incredible. The music was great to dance to. Being vegetarian and celiac, I would appreciate more options, and it would be extremely helpful if the staff knew their menu selections better. Kudos to Hector and Jose Luis at Blaze, who were the only servers to be able to make food recommendations that were safe for me to eat! Staff were very busy at the restaurants, it seemed that they were a bit understaffed most of the time. Overall, we had a great time, and booked again for next year.

We had a great stay. Great resort, loved the location and food was great. Pools was the perfect temperature, and we had a great time with our 3 year old daughter. We had a room where the bathroom had a very strange chemical sticky smell. It was a busy time at the report, but the staff was great and helped to get us a new room. We just returned from an incredible stay at the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta, and we’re already missing it. The resort itself is stunning — beautifully designed interiors, spacious rooms, a lovely soft-sand beach surrounded by scenic cliffs, and peaceful pools that instantly put you in vacation mode. The dining options are fantastic, with buffets and multiple specialty restaurants including Mexican, Asian, and Italian. Blaze offers especially breathtaking views.

But the true highlight of our stay was the service, which stands far above anything we’ve experienced at other luxury resorts. And at the center of it all was Gabriela Yerena, whose leadership, warmth, and personal dedication turned a small hiccup into one of the most memorable hotel experiences we’ve ever had.

On our first night, we arrived at the buffet around 9:30 pm. While the hostess was seating us, another staff member told us the restaurant had closed early, even though the website listed 10 pm. When we asked what else was open, we were told “nothing,” which left us unsure what to do.

We went to the front desk, where Lorena immediately said she would speak with her manager. Within minutes, Gabriela Yerena herself came out — accompanied by Susana Rubio and a chef — ready to make things right. She personally escorted us to the Mexican restaurant, which had already closed, and they reopened it exclusively for us, preparing d

The AC in the room they gave us was extremely loud and blowing air uncontrollably. The thermostat wasn’t working well. It was not until the Thursday when I realized there was mold on the ceiling in the room. I have pictures of the molded ceiling.

My mother and I got food poisoning from eating at their Tamari restaurant. Mine started after the hibachi dinner Tuesday evening and my mom’s Wednesday evening after the sushi dinner. We both got severe food poisoning with nausea, vomit, and non-stop diarrhea. We saw a doctor at the hotel who gave medicine but the symptoms persisted all the way through the plane ride home. The doctor gave my mom 2 shots of medicine that didn’t help with her symptoms either.

When showering the water would come out of the shower and spread all over the bathroom floor, not sure what kind of design this was. Our clothes remained wet all 6 days, there’s no air circulation in the room, I think that’s why there was mold growing.

The bread at the buffet was old and stale, they likely recycle left overs which isn’t sanitary. I also noticed the workers don’t wear gloves.

I would ask the waiters to bring bottled water for my baby and most would refuse and tell me to go to the cafe while others were kind enough to bring it. I was trying avoid diarrhea for my baby from filtered water. My son had diarrhea the day we left the resort which seeped through several outfits on the way to the airport, on the plane, and our entire way home.

Best of all, I enjoyed the staff that was there. They were very courteous and did their best to make the experience a great one for my family. Gabriela who manages the front was very professional and attentive. Everyone worked so hard and I had the best time. This was my first trip to an all-inclusive resort as my family always usually travels to Hawaii for warm vacations but this experience was fantastic and opened my eyes to the buzz about Mexico.
