I've been to a lot better managed resorts but it wasnt bad. They tried at the shows, and they were good but I have seen more immursive at other resorts...they got boring quick.

Pools and beach are great! Not a lot of merchants coming up to you.
**get boogie board from the towel bar, dont rent on the beach.

I would not go back but it's a solid 6/10 resort

This resort maybe suited to older people more than people in their 30s

The staff was excellent. We always felt safe before and after the Sunday car burning downtown.
No ocean view but we knew that. Traffic was very loud outside our window.
Not all restaurants were open at the same time and schedule for opening was hit and miss.
Room was always cleaned but towels were not changed all the time and face cloth not always provided.

Staff were the best! So cheerful and fun. Room and housekeeping not so much. We had to phone every day for facecloths or hand towels and in a week stay we got them twice. Never got our conditioner or lotion refill like we asked for either. Pillow cases were too small and it was kinda gross knowing the pillow was exposed to all guests and probably not cleaned each time. 2 of our dresser drawer handles were falling off. But besides that resort/pool was nice, staff friendly, food was average, entertainment was lacking. We asked for some salsa lessons and got them. 😁

Staff was courteous but overworked; it seemed the same people were doing double-duty.

Room was tired. Shower faulty, but repaired right away. Pillows uncomfortable.

Online advertising for a partial ocean view room is misleading. The building we were in isn’t even shown on the website! Maybe one person can sit comfortably on the balcony to get a glimpse of water.

Appreciated not having to reserve a restaurant for dinner but the restaurants are sub-par and did not meet expectations. Pizza at Italian restaurant has no tomato sauce. Thai restaurant has no Thai food; it’s a sushi bar. Greek restaurant was just a fail. Most food was bland. Best dinner was Asian at the buffet. VERY irritating always having to provide room number for every meal - why bother with wrist bands?!

Pool closest to the ocean was too cold; not enjoyable to stay in for any length of time.

Overall the facility did not meet expectations and we will almost certainly not be back or recommend to others.

Overall we were very happy with the resort.

The rooms were surprisingly spacious and very clean, and the water pressure in the shower was better than any resort we've stayed at in Nuevo Vallarta.

There were numerous dining options - the steak house and rooftop restaurant were both great! - but it would be lovely if the buffet expanded its offering and variety (for example, a pasta bar at dinner) and also if it remained open every night (it was closed for dinner four out of the ten days we were there).

The beach is spectacular with plenty of chairs both around the pools and on the beach. We did have to wake up to get them but you could easily find chairs anytime of day if you weren't picky about location.

The one downside was the fact that special event evenings like Superbowl and Valentine's Dinner were offered but charging guests who have already paid for an all-inclusive vacation seems very inappropriate to me - especially since it was over CAD$100 per person.

Finally, the best feature of this resort would definitely be the PEOPLE. They were so friendly, funny, and helpful. Angel helped us on day two, making sure our jacuzzi tub on our balcony (wow!) was repaired in an hour...Geraldo on the beach made sure every drink was perfect and speedy...Brenda at the Italian restaurant...and so many others!

We were there with friends on Superbowl Sunday. They had a space for you to watch the game with food and drink for an extra cost. Have been to many resorts on Super Bowl Sunday and never had to pay for the party. The worst part was that they turned off all the TVs in the bars so you could not watch it. If you did not pay you had to go to your room. Was very disappointed we paid for an upgrade on the all inclusive and they wanted more.

The staff were amazing! Our friend Ernesto at the buffet was the best. Greeting us every morning with a smile and good laugh, truly amazing service. Gerry (Gerardo) Was our friend at the pool and was so friendly and couldn’t ask for a better experience.

The resort was ok , Little disappointing as was not aware that the resort is shared with Time share residents. 3 pools were available first being warm and located close to building. 2nd one was perfect temp and 3 rd was close to the beach and was freezing cold.
Due to the setup of the buildings the sun would not hit the pools till about 11-12. Was used to having music or activities at pools during the day but there was nothing going on so if wanting a very quiet area with zero activities. this is for you.

Buffet is small but good in morning. I found lunch menu was disappointing. Lots of potential on resort with the space they had but didn’t seem to use it efficiently.

If your looking for a quiet no activity resort then this one is for you

This resort was amazing. The room was spotless every day, all the staff were incredibly kind. Gerado stood out the most to us he was very nice and made sure we were taken care of every day when we were at the pool. I proposed to my now fiancé on this trip and booked a private beach dinner and also had our room decorated and Alejandra made sure everything was set up for that and made the night stress free, she was very kind to us. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I have stayed in FA PVR several times so was excited for this new opening in Riv Nay. I anticipated some hiccups because of this new ownership and so there were many really good parts to the stay and several areas for improvement.
The grounds and pools are emaculate - constantly being cleaned.The surrounding concreted areas need a real power clean.
Great security around pool area and kudos to the guard that wears the camo hat - he is constantly on the move, tidying up, identifying problem areas, looking out for safety issues!!
Not enough chairs and lots of empty spaces!! And the brown rattan chairs should be replaced. - no wheels, or one missing wheel or holes all over.
95% of the staff were GREAT - friendly, smiling, helpful and really made the effort to ensure an enjoyable stay so i don;t want to mention just a few names. There were others, usually in the a la carte restaurants that gave the impression the sooner you were in and out the better.
Fresh fruits and salads and bakery area had lots of fresh choices but needed better monitoring (frequently no margarine, jam, no cups or glasses, serving spoons etc) Hot entres were hit and miss - e,g, covers left open so everything got cold, eggs station great and efficient.
Ala carte, very inconsistent in quality between appetizers and main and quality in general.
Pool service was generally very good.
Rooms very spacious, oddly furnished though, glass shower and toilet area needs major refurbishment!
AC worked great!!

Resort is very nice with several large pools and nice sandy beach. Nightly entertainment and complimentary use of boogie/body boards. The staff are excellent from Edgar at the front desk, to Froylan/Daniel/Rosario/Irnesto/Fabiola and amazing Omelette chef Mario at the breakfast restaurant, Arturo (Shaquille) at the beach bar and Ezekiel/Alan as the entertainment hosts. Each one of them made a special effort to get to know us during our stay especially Froylan and Arturo. The rooms were nice also. A good variety of restaurants but this is also where some improvements could be had. The food was good but one critique would be there is some inconsistency in dinner service across the restaurants with orders getting missed on occasion. Breakfast was great (go see Mario) and lunch at the fish taco place was great. Inconsistency mainly at the steakhouse although the Salmon there was very good.

We needed to move 2 times due to issues with the assigned room. The first room had security issues as the balcony door was missing a lock. The toilet plugged easily. The second room safe displayed error message and a repairman was needed 3 days in a row. Then the deck outside displayed a major leak that caused the ceiling to become unsafe. We were told we had to go. The third room assigned middle of our stay we discovered had a failing ceiling bulb that flashed on/off blinking all night. Repairman came and was able to fix the wall switch so it could be turned off. Bulbs were to be ordered. This room after that was very good over all. Restaurant Sushi Bar: Family got sick after eating there. A peak at the preparation area showed easy cross contamination. As I weight this I’m home for 2 nights and I’m still sick..

Not enough pool or beach chairs. We did not know that there was a condo complex involved with the property. The condo dwellers took over all chairs in both areas and was never places to relax. Hotel room was excellent but our fridge and towels were never replenished daily. Had to ask nunerous times. There should be a kids play area and eparate pool because they werr eating and drinking in pool and adults were always getting i trouble for having a covered cup. Especially with condo complex there should be a separated swimming pool for kids. Buffet needs to be definitely upgraded. A lot of sloppy stews and concautions that werent familiar. Not enough options. Restaurants were great and bar staff, we had some good waiters and bartenders throughout resort. When we checked in we thought we had ocean or front of resort by what the pictures were online. We were overlooking the road and trees. We asked to be moved but they wanted a $700 or $1300 upgrade. Half of resort wasn't booked.

This was not what was advertised two out of the three buildings are condo living! During the day there is minimal to no music played due to condos. Also don’t be surprised if you get complaints if to loud around the pools due to condos.
There is no swim up bar or exciting night life as all bars except for the lobby is closed early! When there is entertainment of any kind it’s held in the parking lot drive way of the main lobby!!
If you thought you were signing up for a partial ocean room just know that’s only seen before entering your room.
There is a big disappointment in food as the buffet is often closed at night. in the mornings you have limited options for selection and no variety change. You will only get bacon if you ask the egg station.

Also noted that if you have any mobility issues this resort is not the most accessible. lots of stairs without ramps to main areas such as the pool bathrooms and some elecartes.
The sushi bar is a beautiful location but unfortunately could use a lot more tables as many waited hours before being seated.

Noted a lot of staff on their phones including manager staff instead of attending to customers.

Positives the resort is clean and majority of the staff is friendly. The view at sunset from the sushi bar on the 9th floor is beautiful!

Overall very disappointed to have spent hard earned vacation money here!!

Food selection was limited and the watered down Mexican coffee was awful. Thank goodness for the coffee shop! The room was great - good size, comfortable bed and couch. Only having 1 working elevator much of the time was annoying. There was only 1 evening entertainment in our 2 weeks so having no TV on 3 nights was frustrating. Pools were lovely. Extra time spent asking for rooms at every dining venue seemed pointless as it’s an all inclusive resort. Promised diet soda never was provided and on 3 days the room had still not been cleaned by 3 pm.

When you walk into your room the bathtub is the first thing you see...no wall just the tub. The shower and toilet are behind a glass wall. Not divided from the rest of the room. It would be weird to stay in that room with anyone other than a spouse.
The resort is over run by black birds and the poop on everything. You can't find a chair without poop on it. Birds poop all around the pool and in my two week stay it wasn't cleaned. Mini bar is a 50/50 chance it will get filled most of the time you have to call the front desk and that includes water. Constantly out of towels and I mean constantly. All lounge chairs are reserved before 8 am everyday so don't think you're going to relax around the pool. There is no store that is advertised. The strange thing was when we arrived we got a yellow bracelet to wear that identifies that you got your reservation in Expedia. Never found out why the staff had to know that but after 2 weeks I felt like others with different color bracelets got better service. Friendly staff but after breakfast they where always short handed.

The food was the worst I have ever had a resort. No flavor. Same limited menu. Options for various food tastes which was nice but all food just tasteless. Any meat was quite chewy. We ate outside of the resort 2 of the 5 nights for dinner.
I don’t like to leave a review like this but please be warned. The staff was amazing and food was not their fault. We regretted staying here.

I cannot say enough about what a great experience my family had at this property!!!
We paid a little more for ocean front on the 7th floor Worth it!!!! We had a personal concierge Javier who was amazing!!! I lost my phone in a taxi after tequila tasting and he tracked it down he’s literally the best concierge I’ve ever dealt with!! I live in Las Vegas so I’ve had some great experiences but Javier was by far the best❤️
The resort was a little dated but lovely and very clean. The food was great, plenty of choices.
The drinks were also great they consistently offered doubles and shots. All the staff members were very helpful and friendly.
I did not try the spa because just down the beach we met Lupe and her son Sky $35 for an hour massage and it was really good.
I definitely recommend going to puerto Vallarta to shop and do activities it you have time.
We went to the private island with Varrita Adventures. Pricy but also worth it.

Paid for an upgrade that was not wheelchair accessible room went back to the checkin to be told they can downgrade us but not refund us as it’s hotel policy to not do refunds. After many days got a girl that gave me an internal refund form I have to complete via my bank and email back with all my most valuable information and pray I get my money back. No such luck, total loss and now I’m paranoid of fraud. Also nothing to do at this resort, you need a cab everywhere that it’s not convenient.
Book somewhere else!

Resort suites need maintenance attention.
Food, over 2 weeks, remained the same, with little variation, in all six restaurants. Nothing 'spectacular', aside from the wait staff.
On-site staff was 'over the top', offering help in every area, restricted only by what they could provide, trying their best and working hard, although often understaffed in many areas.
Fiesta is trying to improve, but a slow process, with a lovely property that could yet be 'top tier'.

The room is in good condition. The staff are friendly. The building is old and the elevators need work. One was shut-down for 5 days.
The food situation needs much improvement. The buffet was closed for dinner 4 out of the 7 nights we were there, and then only 3 or 4 other options. Those options include restuarants that may not be appealing to everybody - such as sushi. Most entrees are very small as well.

Rooms,staff and customer service were great. It is very misleading the photo with Villa Magna which is most of the room are condos and not part of the hotel. The pool bathrooms need upgrading, lack of any real entertainment like the Rui. The Italian, Mexican and sushi were great. Generally the facilities were run down and in disrepair. The gym equipment was old and not functioning properly. Only one elevator was operating all week with no sign of trying to fix it.
Only one urinal out of three working in bathroom by the pool. No sign of effort to repair.
Quality of food was mediocre and portions too small. The Thai restaurant turned out to be a sushi bar with slow service and barely anything to eat. We saw most of the people filling up at the buffet after leaving.
No evening entertainment.
Quality of beds and umbrellas at the pool was substandard; no cushions, umbrellas don't adjust.
We will never go back and certainly wouldn't recommend it.
We stayed there when it was Dreams which was superior.

The rooms and grounds were overall clean and well kept. Rooms were comfortable and big.

The food at the restaurants was quite good, but they really controlled portions. We learned to ask to keep a menu to order more. We didn't indulge. The restaurants seemed under staffed as well.

The lunch restaurant near the beach was fantastic, mostly due to the great staff. They actually put the effort in, offering drink of the day, food suggestions, and checking in to see how we were doing. They never stopped smiling.
(This restaurant felt like a 5 star experience.)

The waiters during the afternoon around the pool and beach tried hard, but why weren't there more? Those guys had to work so hard to try keep up, but they never slowed down.

No night shows. They tried karaoke, but it felt like happy hour at a seniors home. No activities during the day.

We've been to quite a few all inclusive resorts and this one lacked effort. The overall feel was empty and boring.

If you already booked this, don't worry, it wasn't bad. You enjoy the food and drinks.

Our shower flooded our toilet area a bit, the bathroom is quite open near the bedroom so can be uncomfortable at times, and our AC wasn’t the best till the last two nights. However, the jacuzzi on the balcony was lovely and was a great touch!

My favourite beach server was Aldahar who kept the mango margaritas coming! The food was ok, I tried all the restaurants and the Italian was my favourite, Brenda kept everything moving quickly.

We enjoyed the room and the great view of the ocean. Food was mediocre at best, always over cooked, bland and always cold. Building needs updating and elevator often didn’t work.

The New Years Eve firework show and entertainment was top notch! We haven’t experienced anything like it.

Staff all worked very hard, friendly and wonderful.

The ocean water was warm and couldn’t ask for anything more in January!

The staff were not the issue, they were professional and courteous. However, the resort itself is significantly outdated and lacks the upscale features and amenities one would expect for the price being charged. Unfortunately, it does not offer good value, and I would not recommend it.

We stayed at Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit for a New Year’s Eve trip and were very disappointed. Aside from friendly staff and a decent NYE event, this resort falls far below expectations.

Check-in was late, the upgraded “ocean view” we never got was mostly palm trees and condos, and the room was old and poorly maintained, broken fixtures, no bathroom privacy (no doors: shower straight into the room), leaking tub, missing door locks, and a balcony door with no lock. Housekeeping was unreliable, and the minibar stopped being restocked after day three unless requested.

Room service didn’t work since our phone didn’t work (went down to the lobby to order and food never came), food quality was poor, and the resort is severely understaffed. Restaurant waits exceeded an hour with no staff available to even address large lines, towels and beach chairs were often unavailable or filthy, and for most of our stay only one elevator worked. Cabanas are not worth the upcharge, dirty, soaked bedding and no service came during our 6hr stay there despite being advertised as bar service.

The property feels unmanaged, with non-guests freely accessing the resort from the public beach. We’ve stayed at many resorts in Riviera Nayarit and Mexico, and this was the worst experience, by a long shot. We do not understand how this resort has 8 out of 10 on the ratings nor how it can be called a “luxury resort”. Spend your money elsewhere.

We visited from Dec 30th to Jan 1st. Most of the staff was courteous and eager to be of service. Special recognition to Ildahir at the beach, who truly goes above and beyond. The resort seemed a little understaffed, probably due to the holiday dates. The NYE party was a blast!

I have to say the hotel doesn’t entirely feel like a beach resort, mainly because facilities are shared with an apartment complex; therefore, pool service is almost nonexistent at the two pools closest to the beach.
We waited almost two hours to be seated at the Steakhouse. Ordered a Rib-Eye and a New York Strip, but both were dry and tough as shoe leather. Also, the hostess was somewhat rude (understandable, given the complaints from guests waiting so long).

We reserved a Fiesta Club room and received only a few perks compared to other Club levels at similar hotels.

A few inexpensive changes I would recommend to improve the customer experience:

- Reserved beach and pool chairs, cushioned, for Club guests
- Beach towel stations closer to the beach
- More waiters at the beach and pool
- Pagers for restaurants, so guests don’t have to wait at the door
- More beach chairs (there's an entire unused area at the beach)
- Since we all use bracelets, waiters and bartenders could offer premium liquor to Club-level guests

My experience with the whole group, staff was great. I want to mention special kudos to Mario manager on duty most of the time when I needed to certain things as I travel quite a bit, he came through every time and can't thank him enough for the personalized service, but I will say the rest of the staff was great to me as well all in all the very Surprisingly great experience

While our stay didn’t start off smoothly, it ended on a high note because of Mario, the Hotel Duty Manager at Fiesta Americana.

Due to an issue with water on the floor, we had to switch rooms multiple times, which was understandably frustrating. However, Mario stepped in and completely changed the tone of our experience. He was attentive, calm, professional, and genuinely empathetic. He listened, took ownership, and made sure the situation was handled with care and urgency.

What could have been a negative experience was transformed into a positive one because of his leadership and commitment to guest satisfaction. Mario made us feel valued, heard, and appreciated—and most importantly, confident that Fiesta Americana stands behind its guests.

Because of Mario, we would absolutely return and recommend this resort. Service like his is what truly sets a property apart.

Thank you, Mario, for turning things around and making our stay memorable for all the right reasons.

Limited dining, and when I did eat, the food was subpar. I did not have a single good meal in 3 days. It seemed they used the cheapest food available. I wish there were a Pizza stand.

Check-in took almost 15 minutes. Check-out took about the same.

When I got to my room, the a/c was not cooling sufficiently. I reported this to the front desk, and it was repaired quickly.

The staff was very nice however I did not appreciate maintenance storming into my room with their own key card and not knocking either, to greet me in my underwear and bra. Hoping that being 72 it damaged his eyes for life.:) I did not appreciate watching my specially made dish being brought and place on 3 different tables in front of 3 different breathing on it people before being brought to me. Otherwise normal average food not over the top and not consistent or made the same way each day. Will never go back! Some venues were closed ( games room and commercial market store) and the restaurants are not open every night they rotate them.

This was a horrible experience and hands down the worst resort I have ever stayed at. Fiesta Americana in Puerto Vallarta is dirty, outdated, and extremely poorly maintained. There was a couch left in a main walkway with worn, torn cushions and exposed padding. Our first room had a jacuzzi on the balcony that was filthy with a visible grease ring inside. The closet door would not stay shut, there was barely any hot water anywhere in the room, and all water fixtures throughout the room were loose, splashy, outdated, and barely functional. We documented everything with photos and brought our concerns to management, who moved us to another room. Unfortunately, the second room was even worse. When we tried to use the bathtub, brown water came out of the faucet, and after draining it, the tub leaked water directly into the sleeping area. The gym is a complete joke! Nearly all machines are broken and unusable, forcing us to leave the resort daily and pay out of pocket for another gym as well as for transportation. The food is also a disappointment, with only one tiny buffet for the entire resort, leading to ridiculous wait times STANDING just to get in, and an extremely limited selection consisting mostly of fruits and vegetables prepared in different ways. This place is absolutely not worth the money, and I would not recommend it to anyone not even my worst enemy.

Muchos aspectos están bien. Pero hay cosas donde deberían mejorar mucho: el restaurant en el buffette continuamente se quedaba sin comida y tardaban mucho en volver a servir los platillos. En la cafetería, continuamente se quedaban sin insumos. En el room service, tardaban hasta 24 horas en llevarse los platillos sucios, los dejaban afuera del cuarto y aunque 2 veces les pedimos que pasaran por ellos, ahí se quedaban. En la playa no hay control en las palapas, se queda mucha gente que no es huésped del hotel haciendo muy difícil encontrar palapas disponibles. En general está bien el hotel, pero le faltan muchas cosas para ser 5 estrellas.

Our family’s stay at Fiesta Americana was a major disappointment. We chose this resort to celebrate our parents’ 50th anniversary, hoping for an unforgettable experience, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. The issues began right at check-in. There was only one staff member available, who was not welcoming and provided no information about the resort’s amenities or dining options. We weren’t even given a map because none were available. We were assigned two rooms on the first floor, which might have been acceptable if privacy had been ensured. However, the rooms were directly adjacent to the pool area, making it impossible to relax in the outdoor hot tub without feeling exposed. When we requested different rooms, we were told we either had to pay extra or wait until the next day.
That same night, one of the rooms had a clogged toilet, and another required urgent balcony door repairs because it wouldn’t close properly. We tried to remain positive, hoping the experience would improve. To our surprise, the buffet was not open every evening, and only select restaurants operated on certain days. El servicio del hotel es espectacular. El personal es super amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Estuve por el Ironman 70.3 y lo recomiendo 1000%. Se abrió una cena con opciones para los triatletas y en la madrugada tipo 4:30 am colocaron un desayuno especial para el evento. En ubicación fue excelente muy cerca de la salida y meta del evento. La vista al mar fue increíble hasta pudimos ver delfines y ballenas desde el balcón de la habitación. Totalmente recomendado.

We did not have a good experience at this resort. When we first arrived the check in was good but once we went up to the hotel room there were roaches. The service we received at the buffet the first day we arrived was ok but the second and third day they made us feel like we were not welcomed there. They also didn’t have a lot of food choices to choose from and what they did have it tasted very bland. The servers were not attentive when it came to asking what we wanted to drink or if we needed anything from them that was not available in the buffet area. We tried the Italian restaurant for dinner, awful experience with the service and the quality of the food. When we arrived to the Italian restaurant we waited about 10 minutes for the hostess to show up and seat us, once we were seated we waited for another 10 min for the server to even notice us. If it weren’t for a white couple that sat next to us im sure we would have waited longer. When it came time to be in the pool area or beach area there were about 2 servers for both areas. We were only asked if we wanted something to drink once and after that it was hard to find servers. When we went up to the bar located in the lobby we were told that they were not able to serve us drinks if we came from the pool area in our swimsuits (we were not wet). To this I looked around and saw other guests wearing their swimsuits and they were being served. Overall we felt discriminated and not welcomed at this establishment.

I loved how quiet the resort was. It being 2/3 private residence adds to the appeal for me- less people in restaurants and overall in general at the resort. Loved how there was no loud music blaring. Pool staff was wonderful. Sandra the manager was great- we had an issue with our room our last day and she found a solution to make up for the mix up. Resort is older- could use better mattresses because wow does my back hurt after a week. The buffet was one of the worst I’ve had at a resort in Mexico but nonetheless, I’m looking forward to see what new management does with the place and I will be back.
