Very clean, excellent staff, food is fantastic. Accessible pool. Very walkable beach and swimable ocean. If you want a chair beside the pool you will have to get up early to go reserve one. Staying at this resort also gives you all of the amenities of its sister resort right next door.

My family and I visited Mexico and stayed at this resort, we loved it. We got two rooms, one was a full on apartment and one was a hotel room with two beds. Upon arrival we were taken to our rooms and we got bracelets with the keys to our rooms attached which was very convenient. The resturants were very tasty, and we enjoyed going to the neighboring resort and eating at their resturants too. The staff was very friendly, and we felt very welcomed. Our only complaint, was that because we came on the Christmas week, there were lots of diffirent celebrations, but you had to pay separately, although the resort was already pretty expensive and we had payed for an all inclusive package. Overall, we did enjoy our stay and had fun swiming and hanging out.

We had a very nice stay at this resort. The food was good, the beach was beautiful, and the pool area was great. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made the stay very relaxing overall. The staff were amazing - friendly, attentive and responsive.

This is a quiet, peaceful resort with no on-site entertainment. Some entertainment was available at the sister resort and you could walk or get an Uber to Bucerías for dinner or clubs if that's your thing.

We traveled with a 13-year-old, and he was quite bored over the 7-day stay. There wasn’t much specifically for teens at the resort, or at least not that we were aware of. We did a zip-lining excursion and a day trip to Sayulita, which helped break things up.

Overall, this is a great choice if you’re looking for a calm, relaxing vacation. If you’re hoping for a lively atmosphere or lots of activities, especially for teens, you may want to consider a different resort.

Our stay was outstanding. I was upgraded from two deluxe room to 2 bedroom suite. It was spanking clean, spacious and easy access to the beach, front desk, food areas and next to the pool. All inclusive food and drinks are excellent for our group. Room service was great, they were fast and efficient. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were great. There are variety of food including dessert and ice cream. We were there for a wedding and It was a mini vacation well spent.

My family and I had a great time at La Estancia (which also includes all access to the Flamingo.) The grounds were spotless, the food was great (we did an all inclusive, which I would recommend) and the room was spacious (we had a two bedroom suite with balcony.)
Appreciated the events they held (a fiesta one night, a Mexican dance review another.)

We stayed in a studio and loved it. It is huge and beautiful, and the balcony view is outstanding. The only disappointing part of Villa La Estancia was the slow service at the pool and in the restaurants. The first morning, we went for breakfast and asked for pan dulce, and they said it was already finished, even though it was only 9:15am. The wait for an omelette was also very long, around twenty minutes. Because of this, we ended up having our meals at the Flamingos restaurants. The food there was better, the breakfast buffet had many more options, and the service was fast and efficient. The restaurant staff at Flamingos seemed more efficient and attentive. Other than the restaurants service issues, Villa La Estancia is a beautiful hotel with an amazing warmed pool.

Family of 4, 2 kids under 10, AI package. We stayed week before Thanksgiving and had the whole place to ourselves for a few days before everyone else came. Overall decent experience. But for the price, I am a little disappointed in service attitude. Pros: cleanliness room/grounds, poolside service/drinks, sushi restaurant, massage vendor one minute walk down the beach, for a beach side massage $35/hr. Big con: they treat the timeshare owners very differently than the rest of us. Ie: asked for Pickleball equipment as they said the court use was included. At first the guy says the court is under renovation and no one can use it. But I said someone was using it just an hour ago. Then he said that there was actually a reservation in five minutes. After a bit of back-and-forth, he finally gave me the equipment. Someone showed up for their reservation but not for another 45 minutes. Not even sure why he did that. they have their own taxi that cost about $20-$30 per person, Uber is only about $5 total, but when you tell them you are taking an Uber, their attitude changes negatively and they make you walk down to get your Uber and not allow the Uber to come up to the lobby to pick you up. not sure I would stay here again as there elitist attitude put a bad taste in my mouth.

We travelled as a family of 6 the last week of Oct and we had an amzing time.
Lets start with the highlights. Daniel and Jesus at the pool made the week. They work so hard to make your day the best possible. Tip them well as they work hard for it. Santana, Ricardo and Nico at the pool bar and pool service were 5 star service and treated our kids so well too. Sandra at the ince cream and crepes place next door was also amazing. Always a smile and friendly to interact with.
If you are looking for amazing service, great resort and food and dont care about nightlife then this is a must visit.
Its a little confusing (and misleading) online to food options. At Estancia there is on restaurant ( La Casona) for breakfast and dinner. Only lunch option is poolside.
There are 3 restaurants next dooe yo ucan go to, plus the ice cream / crepe place for dessert. It was fairly slow when we went and were able to walk in anywhere we wnated each night. Flamingos does have an amazing buffett breakfast we did most days.
The service at resuarants is slow, so expect it to be! And because not everyone is all inclusive, you always have to wait and sign a bill - which became annoying when they took another 10 mins to dwliver it.
The grounds are well manicured and staff around the resort are all so friendly. You can tell the genuinly care!
The rooms are massive.
One big downside - check in staff are not friendly - they need somw training from daniel and Jesus at the pool!

We really enjoyed this resort! With the all inclusive plan, you get access to the restaurants and facilities of the neighbouring resort as well. So many options for food and with the time we visited (September) there was no waits at all. The pool and ocean area were so clean. Staff are always helpful. One thing you should know however for their free spa service (with all inclusive) it is only one service for one person per room. But really we would recommend this resort nonetheless.

Really loved the beach view and access. Have stayed at other hotels in the area and are great but don’t have beach access front and center like Villa La Estancia. Also loved the size of the rooms and balcony. Great place to stay with family and or friends. The split room stay with one king size bed in one room and sofa bed and then adjacent room with two full size beds works great for families with teenage kids and the best part is that the two rooms are gated so it feels safer to have your kids in adjacent room but not straight access to outside without key access.

This was one of the most disappointing stays.
We travel to the area at least twice a year.
The front desk was unhelpful and charged us twice for an extra guest.
The hotel itself is expansive. Everything is far away from hotel rooms and there is no clear signage. The set up is very choppy and the pools are small and separate from each other. Only one swim up bar at a small pool and always packed. Most areas don’t have a view of the ocean. Expect to wait in long lines for the main breakfast restaurant. Same goes for dinner. Do not recommend. Will not return.

ARE EXPECTING A RELAXING AND PEACEFUL VACATION?
A few weeks back we used Expedia to book a flight+Hotel package to La Estansia hotel in Puerto Vallerta, Mexico for our anniversary. Expedia website clearly mentioned SERVICE ANIMALS WELCOME ( I have screenshots); we booked it all and travelled to the hotel only to be told by the hotel that “Expedia had made a mistake” and they do NOT allow any pets NOR service animals; We were devastated , at 8pm at night , tired and hungry , contacted Expedia and the only choice they gave us was the inferior sister hotel next door that was NOT up to standard. It had very poor-quality Food (flies on food and off shrimps), dirty shower room, lobby with no A/C and 100F, one staff entered our room late evening without knocking just to get a plate from our kitchen; the hotel even charged us cleaning fee for my little Service animal.
As a result of all this unplanned distress for ending up in a NOT-up-to-standard hotel because of Expedia’s huge mistake that completely ruined our anniversary celebrations, my wife was in a really bad state of panic attack and could not sleep all night; we wanted to travel back next day but she was not well at all to be able to travel.
Expedia offered us some cashback that was never a replacement for the lost time and stress and anxiety and emotional distress that we felt during that week.

The property is well kept, rooms are clean, up to date and the vibe was chill for the most part. As the week went on and started to get busier, the vibe was starting to get a little routy which we aren’t used to staying at this resort.

The restaurants are decent but the highlight restaurant funny enough is the pool bar/restaurant. Ricardo provides the best service. Other than the pool bar, other restaurants food is average and service is slow but other than that, it’s great.

The concierge is well the concierge, always trying to upsell you on services and were not trying to allow to use the $75 daily credit provided by Expedia to use for hydrotherapy even though it was a spa service and nothing stated it couldn’t be used for that. Good thing my wife was able to communicate effectively for them to finally approve it. They tried to force us to use it for only massage services while nothing in the details or terms mention that.

Overall, a great place to stay if you want a chill environment (for the most part), beach is great, service is also really good for the price and package we received. Would recommend to friends and family to stay here

As frequent travelers who often rely on the consistency and elevated service promised by Expedia’s VIP Access properties, our stay at Villa La Estancia in Puerto Vallarta was a disappointment from the outset.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Emily at the front desk—whose demeanor felt more dismissive than welcoming. Rather than setting the tone for a luxury stay, her attitude came off as sarcastic and indifferent, especially when we kindly reminded her of our Expedia VIP status. Instead of honoring the complimentary upgrade benefit—as is customary with VIP properties—she offered it only for an additional fee. The perk was not just disregarded, it was flatly brushed off without a hint of hospitality.

The resort itself appeared far from fully booked, yet no effort was made to extend even a small courtesy. It felt less like a guest experience and more like a transaction.

Sadly, the service culture throughout the property echoed the same energy—technically polite but completely uninspired. Dining is limited to two restaurants, both with sluggish service and menus that lack creativity. For a resort that touts an AAA Diamond rating, the food and hospitality fall short of even basic boutique standards.

My family had an amazing experience. The facility was clean, staff was very friendly and accommodating. We loved the diversity of dining options and room service when we didn’t feel like leaving the room or just needed a snack. The shuttle to and from the resort was excellent. The diversity of alcohol was impressive. Not a bunch of low level well liquor. The spa was top notch. The only negative was the “sales pitch” to try to get you to buy a right to use package. They offer discounts for the couple hours of your time. I did not find the discounts to be worth our time.

Beach was filthy with trash, none of our keys to the room worked and had to be changed several times, chemical smell coming out AC had to switch rooms, food was not great and service was slow. I will say the staff at the pool were phenomenal and made sure we were taken care of every single day with chairs and towels- also beds pretty comfortable. It seems as if the condo owners here run the show- no music at all, no fun allowed. Thank God we were allowed to go over to flamingos next door- way better vibe/food/ music playing. When we come to Mexico we don’t want to be in a retirement facility- we want that wild in the wind, yummy authentic food, cultured feel. This is not that.

My daughters (12 yrs and 14 yrs) and I were looking for a quiet and low key holiday. Villa La Estancia delivered. It was beautiful and immaculately maintained. Our room met our needs and offered ample closet space for all of us. The dining options between both Villa La Estancia and Villa del Palmar were excellent. The staff were fantastic and went above and beyond to meet our needs. Having the option to be at a quieter pool or a more lively pool was a bonus. We will definitely be back.

Reason we went back to same resort as last year was because of Santana (spectacular pool side service)! Can’t say enough wonderful things about him, excellent representation for the resort, fabulous customer service skills, and so personable. Cleanliness and staff friendly property. The rooms are big and great for families. But pretty much that's where my positive reviews ends. The towel situation is tragic. Barely any towels and if you need a clean dry one you better watch like a hawk the blue container coming out of the hotel. Only two restaurants at Estancia but it says 5 on Expedia. The wait for food is at least an hour and if you have small kids good luck! Morning buffet breakfast is tragic no options whatsoever unless you order but then if you want to wait an hour then be my guest. You can tell the property is doing the minimal possible so they get more profit. Only one bar and it's only swim up. You better wake up at 7am to tip someone to reserve you a chair. Then for everything you order you have to wait to sign the \"bill\" even if all inclusive or they will hunt you down to your room to sign. The menu options at the restaurants were super limited but the quality of food was great. I was pleasantly surprised. My favorite restaurant was the international restaurant at Flamingos. The service and the food were amazing. The servers were the best! And the food came out so quick. I was very pleased. Some entertainment at Flamingos it was ok. I asked if we can check out at 2pm they 12 pm but will make it happen if I pay $130. But my all inclusive ends at 12pm. So I paid $139 to stay in the room for 2 hrs. What a deal! Not! I don't think I am coming back.

Our fourth stay at this gorgeous resort we like to call our “second home”! Food at all the restaurants was amazing and service is top notch! Such a perk that Flamingoes next door is also accessible and included in the all inclusive package. House keepers did an amazing job and turn down with chocolates every night was a treat. Don’t hesitate to book if you’re considering this resort!

A couple things to know before arriving. If you plan to take a taxi anywhere pay in pesos or the drivers will rip you off with their exchange rate when you pay with USD and they don’t take credit cards. We ended up using Uber which was very easy and safe. When using your credit card choose pesos as the currency because your credit card will give you the best exchange rate. The beach massage booths also take credit cards and we tipped in cash.

The food is pretty good in all the restaurants, however sometimes it is hard to get in. The daily room service is very sporadic , they will clean your room but won't give you new water or coffee. The staff is very friendly

Facility is ok, beach is good. Food is excellent. However access to restaurants is annoying takes forever. Room service is strange , nobody really cares what you ask and conplain. We had 4 room some did not receive waters others tualetics. You can ask and complain noting happens

The all inclusive option was unique in the fact that everything was off a menu except the breakfast Buffett. The food was very good, never got bored of the same old stuff and lots of Mexican food options and higher quality cuts of meats were included!! Beach service was amazing, Santana was impeccable with keeping us in food and drinks all day at the beach! Also at the Italian restaurant went above and beyond to get us churros on our last night and Jesus was hustling every morning getting us towels and chairs set up and checking in make sure all was well. Esmeralda in the breakfast Buffett was so attentive and kind. Fabian got my boys to go cups for their Shirley Temples. Overall a very great experience.

Property is fine. Food is ok. Drinks are fine. Resort credit- nope. Promised 250$ a room delivered 0$. Tried to connect it to a timeshare presentation. Expedia knows but the hotel claims it’s not. Seriously though, it was worth one massage for two. They pay 10$ each worker to give the massage (maybe) so resort cost is basically nothing for the credit. So why? If they lie about this, would I trust them for anything? What a joke. Could have been…

This resort is very comfortable. Its staff is very helpful and
friendly. I loved interacting with Gabriel and Angel at the pool, Fabian, Daniella, Carolina, Lorena, Monsurate at breakfast, and Angel in La Casona. Thank you for everything!
