Try the matcha fish tostada, its incredible. Dinner at rubra is a cant miss, and we loved the spa. We also saw whales breaching every day-- just siting on the beach watching! Loved it here

The all inclusive package was not communicated well at all. Once we signed up for it (at the cost of $3000 extra for the week), we found out we had to order off very limited menus and weren’t able to enjoy all they offered. Also the most expensive restaurant was not included in the all inclusive package. We were asked before we got there if we were celebrating an occasion. I replied that it was our first anniversary on 1/15. I never heard back and asked the concierge when we arrived if they would help us celebrate. She assured me there would be a bottle of champagne in our room on 1/15. There was not. We enjoyed many aspects of the hotel but the lack of transparency will deter us for ever coming back.

Great hotel and beautiful beach. Our two complaints are the restroom had zero privacy and no door which is not idea for families with teenagers. The other complaint was the New Year’s celebration. The buffet and entertainment was $450 usd and up per person. Hardly worth the cost so we skipped and there wasn’t much available that night at the hotel. They did a good job closing all restaurants and being very vague on email prior to the trip on alternative options so we didn’t have any options other than pool food. The lobby bar had a couple of food options but they needed and wanted you to spend $1,800 for a family of 4 to attend the New Year’s party. They are not the only hotel that does this. We learned our lesson.

Friendly staff. Good food and drink options. Excellent variety of gluten free food options with knowledgeable staff on allergy requirements. Rooms are a little funky with limited bathroom privacy. Double room had limited storage but king room had plenty of space for stuff. Beds were comfy. Property is spread out but they do offer golf cart shuttle.

On a scale of 1-10 I wish I could give the W a better than 10! This resort is top tier. The view is beautiful. The beach the property sits on has soft sand, the waves are huge and guest enjoy surfing. The grounds are well manicured and constantly attended to, to ensure optimal comfort for guests. Our room had an amazing layout, with a private plunge pool on the rooftop. The decor in the room was amazing, the detail made it feel like home. The bed was soft, almost making it hard to get out of daily - are the blankets weighted? Probably! The automatic shades make the view from room beautiful without having to get out of bed! The dual shower heads and the outdoor bath tub made relaxation a priority, almost a spa feel! The staff greet you every time you cross paths. Everyone is so friendly and attentive. I wished we could have checked in a little earlier but understand why we couldn’t - other than that, I have no complaints. The hotel did accommodate a late check out so that made up for it tremendously! The food was not bad, very much upscale dining except the breakfast buffet. We enjoyed the French toast and the omelette station daily. We tried 2 dinner restaurants - Spice Market (Jose was great, attentive and a pleasure to see twice) ribeye was great - & Venazu - pizza was to die for, wood fired and fresh deliciousness. Overall we had a positive experience and wish we could have stayed longer!

This place is amazing. Beautiful facilities, comfortable rooms, and an amazing beach access. The hotel was built in the middle of the jungle making your stay a very pleasant and unique experience. Loved our experience at Punta Mita. My only recommendation would be to rent a car to go explore the nearby towns and avoid the expensive taxi rides.

It was a really boutique property. The rooms are clean and spacious. However, the check-in experience was not as exclusive as we anticipated. Howeve,r the front desk staff was responsive and helpful. The breakfast was good with an open buffet but I cannot say the same for the lunch and dinner of the main restaurant. The menu was very standard Mexican. However fortunately they had a great restaurant called Spice Market which we ate 3 times. It's Asian Fusion but a really good alternative if you get bored eating Tacos. The other thing is that it's not a very kids-oriented hotel. There are not many animations or activities, and there is no kids' center for children. But my kids did fine anyway.

Interesting property. Very rocky beach so definitely not for little ones. Also, extremely remote and isolated. Good opportunity for couples R&R, not excursions. Tuve un percance en la alberca, se rompió una rejilla y me lesione la pierna. El servicio medico es precario para hacer evaluaciones mas profundas o garantizar que pueda uno estar de manera adecuada. De manera de cortesía me ofrecieron un par de pizzas por el percance. En 1.5 días no pude disfrutar las amenidades del hotel por el incidente, lo menos que pudieron hacer es un descuento o retribución; en ningún momento tuve el acercamiento del gerente para ver tal situación. En recepción externe mi sentir y me comentaron que no podían hacer nada al respecto. Es mi segunda visita y debo comentarles que en 5 años el hotel luce igual, se nota que no dan mantenimiento a zonas de riesgo, además que los meseros son muy lentos en el servicio respecto a la primera vez que me hospede ahí. La comida es muy buena y la atención para los niños estupenda.

Room description states queen beds when in reality there full beds . Outlets in restroom did not function . My room had plunge pool had already asked to get extra towels every time housekeeping was there and did not get . Food and drinks are good but over prized . Had asked for late check out on day 1 was told they would contact me day prior to check out , had to call them on day of check out since never received call,was told after 1 pm cost of late check out was $100 . During check out was charged $162 for late check out was also charged for meals that were not ours as well as transportation .

ATMs did not work, overpriced taxi service, make sure if you can, use Uber to go to salyulita and punta de mita towns. Uber was only $15 as opposed to the $155 taxi provided by the hotel. Otherwise the grounds were pretty. Lots of food options at the bar and beautiful views.

The location is great and the property is beautiful but the food, rooms and service did not match the price. There is heavy bass music blaring truly everywhere…the rooms, restaurants, pool, beach. Additionally the jungle view rooms feel like dark concrete bunkers as they are partially subterranean with patios that are against a dirt mound.

The hotel is great, but a little petite in general, just a couple of dinning options, almost no entertainment at all, and it’s far from everywhere. Also they had the room but refused to upgrade us which is fair but not very hospitable and unlike what other hotels in this category always do. But overall it was a nice stay for us.

This is truly one of the most beautiful properties I have ever stayed at. It’s truly gorgeous and this comes from a world traveler person who has traveled to over 40 countries and always stays in the top notch hotels. So this property is very beautiful and well maintained. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. The reason for 4 rating instead of 5 is that everything costs way too expensive in this hotel. The smallest thing would cost double even triple the actual price. If you go to this hotel, simply enjoy the property and the amenities by closing your eyes to the bills and simply pay them. If money is no issue, you are not going to regret staying there.

Really nice resort, food was expensive and a little overpriced for the quality. Staff and Service were excellent. It is a bit removed from from Punta de Mita and cabs cost about $50 USD round trip, catch an Uber if you can. I am glad I rented a car for day trips to Sayulita and San Pancho.

I was assured by the hotel staff that my Amex card that I had originally booked the hotel through Travelocity would be charged only. However this was not the case and was told that was mistaken information only afterwards when it was time to check out of the hotel because I didn't have the card physically with me (it was a bran new account). My son and I love this resort from top to bottom. He can’t get enough of the ocean and boogie boarding. The staff is very accommodating to any needs and timely.

Great stay. The lake view room is gorgeous and fun. I just wished the room could be warmer if desired. There’s lots of lush trees and plants. Lots of butterflies and insects. They provide bug spray, sunscreen, aloe Vera , and tanning lotion. The beach is walking distance from the pool. The staff is Uber friendly and helpful.
