This was my fourth stay. As always, the staff, especially Aleksander and Nikola, was very friendly and entirely professional. There were no issues with which to deal. The room was immaculate and comfortable. Great shower and amazing bed. The breakfast buffet was excellent with healthy options included. I look forward to visiting other Mama Shelter hotels in other cities. The interior design is very very cool! Mama Shelter in Belgrade is truly my favorite.

The room smelt like bathroom upon arrival and the next day they gave us a room with a better smell and condition. Before switching rooms, house keeping didn’t even clean our room the first day … but then the staff was very reactive to help and give us a better room. The bathrooms seem outdated and the shower handle was falling out of the wall and we manually replaced it. The amenities in the bathroom were very poor and the quality was not suitable.

Breakfast was good, it’s worth getting with the room

The rooms are spacious. Bed and linens are comfortable and clean. Food options are everywhere around you. Either by visiting mama shelter restaurant or simply walking out in Knez Milosa Street. You are right across the street from the largest park in the city, Kalemegdan. Also walkable distance from here is the restaurant row on River Sava.

This Mama is Sugar!

This hotel is a vibe! Check in was a little longer than expected but the staff is incredible, the property is seriously cool. Did I mention the location!? Although it is above a mall it is quiet and relaxing but can turn up if you want it too. Right next to the coolest park and extremely walkable. I would argue this is the best hotel for the price in Belgrade.

It was my second visit and the hotel is on the more quirky side. Really good bedroom facilities but the 2 elements that REALLY frustrate me about this hotel are that there is no tea and coffee in the bedrooms which is poor for the rating and price and that there is no shower gel but instead solid bars of soap that are so horrible and drying on your skin. I had to go to a drug store to buy shower gel!!
Also if someone is staying more than one night please replenish the bottles of water in the room.
But I do love the little touches like the cookies, fruit and juice. The restaurant and roof top bar are fabulous.

Fantastic location in heart of old town

Great location and great placement above the mall. Fantastic panoramic views of Belgrade. Great service. Very lively bar that happens to be the hotspot for local night life.

After hours access is a bit problematic because the mall entrances close during the night and one has to figure out where is the elevator.

My only complaint would be that they do not have adequate shower supplies. Instead of usual shower gel and shampoo you get a small bar soap.

Hotel is definitely not a four star due to lack of cleanliness. At best a 3 star due to the location and young hip friendly staff. Cleaning staff didnt even bother to clean or remove our trash until we complained the next days. Bathroom had no instructions on whaat is their towel policy and lack of shampoos and shower gels, they infact gave a soap bar. Moreover, we found blood stains on the floor. Wont recommend for kids or toddlers.

I absolutely love this hotel. The location is great. The dining options as well as the breakfast buffet are excellent. The hotel is situated on top of a very modern shopping center with high end stores. It also includes a grocery store, pharmacy, and a Starbucks. Mama Shelter has a very hip and sexy vibe in its interior design and excellent soundtrack that plays throughout the common areas. The stylish rooms are perfectly clean and comfortable with showers that are like a spa experience. Lastly, the staff was beyond fantastic!! They were very friendly, helpful, and professional; especially Jovanka and Radica at the front desk. This was my third time at Mama Shelter. I honestly can’t think of any reasonable criticism. I very much look forward to my next stay at this hotel.

The hotel was situated inside a mall which was just great as it was close to dining and shopping options. The rooms were comfortable but the daily cleaning was not topnotch especially in the bathroom and I noticed that they were quite frugal with bathroom amenities. The hotel is located at the top floors of the shopping center. It has ambitions of a design hotel, but in general it is quite basic, the rooms excess is through a little maze with stairs and elevators. The promised 14 euro food/beverage perks were replaced by few citruses and cookies. No food was available at 10.45 pm when I checked in. Location is very central.

I was here for the second time for my Birthday now this time and I love staying at this hotel. Thank you for everything. The feedback I have is: please inform customers there is another elevator if they are queuing to the three busy elevators and please have a look at the air condition it was not really optimal, more people in the reception and keep it up with all the nice art and decorate the rooms more with that, that's why I keep on coming to you guys.

location is super, the check-in female staff was very nice and friendly, also another male staff who speaks perfect english with very clear american accent was very very friendly and helpful ( apology i forget names)! the staff in the resturant 80% were great and nice, 20% were hesitant to provide service and were ignorant ( my husband requested for coffee and salt but the male waiter never came back with anything and he said to my husband you can pick your coffee from the bar yourself without waiting for me!). room carpet needs deep cleaning there are lots of spots! bathroom sink needs cleaning as well it wasn't really cleaned well. which i hated most was the sharable lifts with the shopping mall visitiors! it was very uncomfortable and very disgusting for our luggage to be taken through such lifts with all different types of people there specially with Covid 19 at the corner! parking is a bit expensive compared to the cost of living in general in Serbia! but i have noticed this around serbia no free parkings most you have to pay for it!

A very trendy hotel in the heart of Belgrade, the best location to explore the wonderful city and escape from the bustling centre.

All the staff are effervescent and very friendly, with a great vibe and energy.

The hotel has an awesome design, it's quirky and fun and sparkling clean throughout

It is very family-friendly, with free arcade games, table tennis, loads of books, and soccer tables for the kids to entertain themselves.

Our room 'Large Mama' was very spacious, with a massive balcony overlooking the beautiful Kalemegan Park from level 1, and we were spoilt with sunset views.

A restaurant is located on the top floor with a fabulous rooftop bar and dining to enjoy the magical sunsets of Belgrade, the best we have found in the centre.

Great value and quality cocktails, incredible food, pizzas were divine and live music regularly to soak up the city energy.

Other benefits for hotel stays: located inside a shopping mall, onsite parking, surprise treats on check-in of biscuits and juice for your stay, a great range of guests from tourists, travellers and locals, mixed-aged groups, and laptop friendly.

Great hotel, great location.

Mama Shelter excel in service and attitude. It's a great location and a really warm welcome and constant attention to the guest in the restaurant and bar. Nice food, too! Only comment that would be a slight negative, would be the disposable plastic toiletries - in 2021, this is not really what we should expect! Otherwise, definitely worth a visit!

Pleasantly surprised by the hotel, location and most important, their staff. Coming from the industry myself, it is always nice to see such the standard, politeness and proactiveness of the employees.

We got the terrace view room. It was very spacious and with a lovely view to Kalemegdan. The room was clean and tidy. They even tidied up the room the morning we were checking out while we were having breakfast.

Only remark, that is entirely of personal taste, is that the bathroom, being all white with metal details, looks quite sterile. But then again, it's just taste having nothing to do with the property itself or how great experience we had there.

The room was clean and comfortable and the bed was very comfortable to sleep in, which is important to me. However, based on the pictures from the website, I was expecting much more from the room. Our room looked nothing like the pictures. The room was so sparsely decorated that it was practically empty--blank white walls, very simple, plain furniture (not much of that either), and very empty looking bathroom. Also, our room was quite cold when we went in (in spite of the thermostat being set to 21C) and took a long time to warm up. Then in the middle of the night we woke up, because the heat had finally kicked in and we were cooking! Overall, fine for the price we paid, but didn't live up to my expectations.

I am really a big fan of Mama Shleter hotel chain, love the design and the location is super central! I have stayed in other ones in Europe and loved it. Unfortunatelly we were very unlucky with the room we have got. There was one window with a view on a wall (see photo attached) so there was zero natural light coming into the room and considering that I have paid a standard rate as for any other room I really felt like this was unfair. Cleaniness of the room is also just okay, it was relatively dusty.

Cool, funky decor. HUGE room - more than adequate for 3 with large bathroom (great shower)! Super comfy, soft beds. Good black-out curtains.
Good range of modern movies on the huge TV provided great down-time entertainment.
Perfect location. You can easily walk to the river, down the high-street, to the bohemian quarter etc.
Lovely, trendy rooftop with amazing sunset. We didn't get to try the food but the drinks were great. So glad we stayed here!

Staff were very nice and helpful. Our room was clean and tidy. The rooms had a unique and strange decor which I didn’t really understand. There was lots of drilling noise during the day which could be heard in our room but that did stop during the evening and night. The rooftop bar of the hotel is lovely and the wood over pizzas were delicious however do expect long waiting times as the service is slow.

A cool hotel for youngsters and couples!

Excellent room with plenty of space and a great view across the Citadel Park. Good position on top of the new shopping centre which gives plenty of choice for both eating and buying. I would definatlely return and this is our third visit to Belgrade.

The Best Place to Stay in Belgrade.

One of the best hotels in Belgrade, the location cant get any better. Rooms are very neat and fancy and spacious the best part it they are all nonsmoking, bathroom is very spacious and neat.
Their restaurant is really nice but a bit expensive compared to other restaurants, they have a massive spread for the breakfast.
They do have three levels of parking but chargeable.
Bad Experience:
Most of the staffs are friendly and helpful, but unfortunately we got on the call couple of staffs who seemed to have a rough day at work, the first one hung up on me and the second one was not at all helpful in guiding us with the location when I called back. Mama shelter is at the heart of the city and right above the biggest shopping mall facing the Belgrade fortress. Couple of things the staff forgets are 1) not everyone knows the city well 2) google maps shows not one but three Mama Shelter Belgrade around the same building and its not easy to just drive around so many times. I even stopped at one of the map pointer and told the staffs the 4 shops that I could find and she quickly stopped me to remind me that “Shop and go is a chain and there are 100s of them in Serbia”
Serbians are very friendly and helpful I found a gentleman on the street who pointed to the big building and said it’s on the 4th floor. When I checked in I found out Mamas shelter is a very busy place, all the staffs are occupied with something or the other every minute and they really do not

Best hotel in Belgrade. On top of a mall with many restaurants. Hotel has the best rooftop bar and restaurant in the city, definitely a hot spot. Next to the fortress with great views of Belgrade, and you cannot be more central. Rooms are good, not luxurious and they do not have a mini bar, although you have access to bottled water. Lots of free movies. Good shower. Good pillows and sheets. I’ve stayed at many hotels in Belgrade and in Europe and this my favorite. Can’t beat it for the price either.
