We had a wonderful stay at Motel L Älvsjö. As a lovely Valentine’s Day surprise, we were given complimentary breakfast, which was a great touch. My mother-in-law accidentally left her wallet behind, and the staff went above and beyond—calling an international number to confirm it and arranging its return. Everyone was super friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Highly recommended!

The property was centrally located to everything we were doing while there. Plus very close to train station which was convenient. The room was a nice size.

The beds were quite a bit softer at top of bed so just slept opposite way on bed. The fan did not work well so had window open but can be loud at night because of people hanging outside hotel even though we were on higher floor.

Overall fine for what we needed.

Property and staff were excellent. Proximity to train station excellent. Room was warm and not able to be controlled by us. Bathroom sink leaking. Insufficient bath wash. Shampoo provided instead. QR code with hotel information was incorrect for breakfast opening time. With that being said I would still consider staying again. Could be isolated incident.

Decent hotel at a good price . My room on the too floor got very hot , even though it was just the start of May . Windows cannot be opened , so in summer it must get very very hot on the top floors
On the 2nd day of my stay my door would not open and I had to go down to reception for them to sort out my key . There is a small snack bar ( 24hrs) and a gym ( open to 10 pm ). If coming from Arlanda airport there is a train that goes directly to Älvsjö station.

No frills modern property generally clean although we did find some hairs on towels. As per most reviews beds were soft but comfortable, not for those who like firm beds.Basic continental breakfast, expensive.
Area quiet and pleasant with park for kids 5 10 minute walk away. Supermarket close by, but not much choice of places to eat. Central 3 stops on train. Should factor in travel costs to Central Stockholm when making booking. Public transport expensive. I would recommend motel for short stay

Very happy I chose this place as a getaway stay during my full week in Stockholm. Price wasn’t crazy when I booked, it’s right by the train station for those of you who refuse to drive like me (though I wouldn’t really recommend driving in Stockholm unless you want to ‘venture out the city, but even then the train will take you there. Remember Americans, the EU isn’t built around driving‼️‼️‼️). There’s a a really good Indian spot a cool 5 min walk away from the hotel if you need a bite after a flight, but there’s also a grocery store closer by as well. The area is quiet (When the train isn’t going by lol, it’s not annoying though and you can close the window easy peasy). The bar is open when you wake up and closes at about 1 am which is cool if you’re young and turnt like me lol. 10/10 would recommend SERIOUS‼️‼️‼️

Property was really conveniently located close to the train stop. I could see the train station from my window. Windows were soundproofed so there was no noise. And there were blackout drapes so I could sleep when I wanted to. I got there a few hrs before checkin and asked if I could get a room early, I got a room at about 1 pm. Only downside was that my tv didnt work. But, I would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely outstanding.

I was in Stockholm for a Blink-182 concert. The motel was conveniently placed near the metro, the staff were outstanding, the bed was amazing, and the overall experience was great. I wish I was in Stockholm and at the Motel L Alvsjo for longer. Thank you Stockholm and Motel L for a GREAT trip.

Good value but room for improvement.

The beds are so soft though. And had multiple issues in control of both lighting and heating systems in the room which was disappointing. The controls were not working so I had to rig things to keep the room comofortable.

The dinner menu does not live up to the same level of expectation as the free breakfast which was rather surprising. I will not be having dinner meals there again.

Deserves high hotels.com rating but a few issues

The architects and designers evidently put a lot of thought into their work, as the layout and features of the room were perfect. Many plug outlets and good lighting. The heating is centrally controlled with only minor adjustments possible from the room but this worked fine; there is no door to the shower yet it does not flood the entire bathroom (unlike in some other very expensive hotels in Stockholm) and water pressure is excellent.

The only bad point was that the bed was far too soft (I don't understand why people want to sleep with their backs curved) but this was remedied by sleeping on top of one of the pillows.

I had to wait a long time to check in at 2100 because there was only one member of staff who was dealing with some guest problem, eventually another member of staff came by. Another guest arrived shortly after me and had to wait just as long, so perhaps the hotel should increase staffing levels until a bit later in the evening. Check out also was a bit slow (including for the guest in front of me) even though both of us had pre-paid - I would expect it to take less than 10 seconds to verify payment was already made, but it took nearly a minute both times.

The location is very close to the commuter train station and due to the fare structure of SL, if there happens to be a bus 142, 144, 145 or 190 waiting just as you exit the station, you can even jump on for one stop without having to pay anything extra and be delivered right to the entrance.

This hotel is very close to the train station at Alvsjo (vaguely pronounced 'elphew'). There is a grocery store at the station a convenience store or a Subway and a coffee shop. the hotel tell has a nice downstairs area where you could buy a beer or a coffee and meet with friends. The room was really comfortable and well laid out and the bed was nice as well. There is a small fitness room with dumbbells a treadmill and a couple other machines. This station is three stops from Stockholm Central Station and very easy to get to trains leave all the time I would return here the next time I stay in Stockholm.

The beds and the music was fantastic. Lightly playing in the background and soft birds/outdoor sounds playing in the hallway of the area connecting the rooms. I didn't like that lotion was not provided like most hotels. Other than that the facility was perfect. Great location. Very convenient to the transit into the city.

Some staff were nice, friendly and helpful, but some were not. Rooms are clean but small.
A shower curtain would be nice in the bathroom as the water falls on the commode etc with no division between shower area and wash basin/commode area.

Although 3 of us stayed, we were given only 2 bath towels everyday and I had to go and request for an extra towel daily. They said they will pass the message to house keepers but the message never reached them from the reception desk. On one day, we adjusted with only 2 towels as there was no spare available immediately and they asked us to wait for 20-30 mins for the house keepers to come.

The other cause for inconvenience to us was lack of proper wifi signal in our room as ours was the far end room from the reception area. One member of staff told us that there is nothing she can do and even suggested us to come with our laptop and sit in the lobby area !!

No coffee/tea facility in the rooms. Its available in the lobby and one can drink unlimited, but after a day full of sightseeing etc, you do not feel like coming back to the lobby again for a drink. You would want to sip a cuppa in the comforts of your room.

Positives of staying here is the train station is only 5 mins away by walk and bus stop is right in front of the hotel. The area is quiet and co op/subway is about 6-7 mins away. A microwave is available to use and is great for those who love to bring their own food and want to heat it.

Windows can’t open. Pillow very very bad. Cleaning lady forgot to give new towels but still removing meaning we were missing towels. No shampoo though we asked for it several times.
The chairs in the restaurant broke when sitting on it.

Clean, modern, cheap with all amenities you need.

The hotel was built in 2017 so it's modern and the design is really nice. Breakfast is included IF you book through their own website. Otherwise it's 90SEK(~9€)/PP. Parking is 120SEK on the back of the hotel. The staff was friendly, providing us with help with whatever we needed. The room was fresh with modern flatscreen TV where you can pair your mobile directly to the TV. The room was clean, a bit cold when we arrived but the the heating system can be set from fairly cold to pretty warm so that was rectified pretty quickly. The only problem i had was the beds, which are a bit soft in my opinion, but I'm sure a lot of people would love them. Bathroom was clean and water pressure was good at the 6th floor. Modern shower with 2 different options. There's a gym and sauna at the hotel, but we never used them. The bar had a decent choice of beer and other beverages. There's no restaurant as such, but the bar menu seemed decent. For the price, It's a remarkably good hotel choice.

Rummet var toppen. Önskade en extra kudde, inga problem. Bra läge. Fanns inte så mkt att äta runt omkring och hotellet själva hade endast mackor. Okej frukost men inte något varmt förutom pannkakorna. Servicen från receptionen på fredagen när vi kom och på söndagen när vi skulle åka var toppen! På lördagen katastrof (!) inte det minsta hjälpsamt/flexibelt/bjussigt kring något från hon i receptionen den dagen/kvällen…
