Excellent location just minutes from the cutest underground stations Metro 1. Our room was spacious and situated in the street off the main boulevard. Only criticism was the bathroom towels. They were in need of replacing as very hard, thin and a bit grey!

Our classic room was small but clean. As the hotel was full we had no option to change room unfortunately. We liked the eco credentials of the hotel but the towels were old, slightly discoloured and didn't smell particularly fresh nor fluffy. The restaurant evening menu was varied and the food was excellent. Likewise the breakfast buffet.

Loved my stay!

Staying at Mamaison Hotel Andrassy Budapest was a treat. The location is convenient, being a 3- to 5-minute walk from the tram station. Though this hotel is 4-star and on the expensive side, it’s definitely worth the price as you’ll get what you pay for. If you like variety, breakfast at this hotel is definitely for you. There are so many options, and the food was fantastic.

Good stay but minor improvements could be carried

Hotel was nice and friendly, but disappointed with the quality of the pillows and mattress on the pull out sofa bed considering we stayed in the ambassador suite. Also our mini bar had a half drunk Pepsi in it - easily sorted when we spoke to reception but thought this would have been checked.

Our beds were not made after the first night and towels replaced were not enough for the guests staying in the room.

That being said, the hotel was in a great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is worth having and good value for money.

Would venture back and stay here.

Very nice hotel. A little isolated. Friendly staff. The restaurant is nice and the staff welcoming but the food was only ok. The room and bathroom were wide and comfortable. The towels were awful and I can not get use to sleep with an individual blanquet/duvet. The pillow and mattress were comfortable. Aomething to improve is that it was cold in the afternoonin October...and the heating system was set for summer time, and this could not heat up the room.

Provision of toiletries was a bit stingy and charging for coffee capsules is ridiculous in a hotel of this standard. Minor irritants because I would certainly recommend the hotel for all its pluses.

We spent 3 nights for our wedding anniversary and it was wonderful. The location is lovely, far enough away to be quiet but close enough for a leisurely walk to the centre. We had an issue with the bath and they were quick to apologise and move us to another room. Outstanding service, we can see why it has so many good reviews

First time at Mamaison Hotel Andrassy. Good location with excellent transport links. Rooms are well furnished. Bathroom contained a bath/shower combination, but the bath had very high sides which might pose access problems to those less able. The breakfast buffet offered a wide range of both hot and cold foods. The hotel promotes its green credentials, however it would be better if they did away with the numerous bathroom products in small plastic containers and replaced with dispensers. All in all, would recommend this hotel.

We had a great stay here for 4 nights last week. We had king deluxe rooms and they were huge with balconies overlooking the Korean embassy opposite. We were staying with our two teenage children and the hotel accommodated us well by allocating rooms next to each other.. Breakfast was not included and was expensive but was a good selection. Would definitely stay here again- walking distance from the Szchenyi baths, zoo, circus, museums and fantastic kids playground (def worth a visit for kids aged 3-12). There are also metro stations within 5 minute walk with access to the Danube and other attractions. We would definitely stay here again.

The staff were very helpful arranging transportation.
The elevator was too, too small. We could only get the two of us and my walker to squeeze in! Fortunately my son came as well and he managed the luggage. Didn’t ask, but I’m sure the staff would have waited with the luggage and send it up.
The tub was so high I could barely lift my feet over it. No grab bars so I felt very unsafe!!! Europe is easy for those with physical challenges. Of course there were not any face cloths.

Unfortunately I have to confirm what other reviews have said. On the first day you choose how you'd like your room to be cleaned. When we clme back to the room the bed is BARELY redone.
On the second day as we didn't get another paper to choose how it was to be cleaned, we believed it was going to be the same day one but they did not touch the room at all.
In general the hotel is not a 4 stars.

Great location, easy to walk to metro and cafes. The breakfast buffet was very nice, lots of choices and the room was very spacious although a little on the old side. One disappointment was the housekeeping service. The room was not thoroughly cleaned and sadly realized that it had not been before we arrived either as there were toe nail clippings in the bathroom near the garbage which were never cleaned up!

Staff is excellent ,very helpful all around the hotel,location is perfect ,close to attractions ,invites walking to many,including restaurants .However hotel needs refresh ,stayed there several times in the past 7-8 years and the only change was a bathroom remodel -very nice-but furniture is dated ,stained in places as well as the carpet ,coffee machine needed fixing ,some lights and phone were out ,the clock radio was gone from last visit and clock program in TV set was incorrect when arrived.AC worked excellent on 35 C days however and the large balkony is great to have

We got room upgraded after our first night of our 5 night stay for New Year celebration. The hotel is so close to downtown and all main attractions, quiet and in a nice neighborhood. Best of all, the staff are professional, friendly and helpful. We will stay here again if we come back to Budapest!

One complaint I have is that I was almost certain that I checked the box to have breakfast included in the reservation, but when I checked out was told that breakfast was not included in the price and that Expedia never includes breakfast. That was an unpleasant surprise.

Nice property, somewhat expensive upscale Restaurant. Also charged for in room Coffee Facilities. Bath Tub was unusually High and Deep very difficult for an older person to climb into and out of. As it was recently totally renovated would have been more Green Friendly to have a Nice Large Walk in Shower. Bath Towels were somewhat on the cheap side for an Higher End Property. Also no Face Towels provided. Area was High End Embassies with no other real alternative Restaurants or Bars. Staff that I did interact with, were very friendly.

Arrived to the hotel with my friend, for a long weekend, to be given a free upgrade to a junior suite. Staff available 24 hours a day to assist with any questions or issues. If we required something like an extra pillow for example, the staff would be up to our room straight away to assist. Toiletries were replenished daily. The room was very spacious with ample closet space and lots of mirrors! The bathroom was beautiful and very modern! We loved the high ceilings in the room. Amazing location. Walking distance to everything. Situated off of the main road, Andrassy Ut, linking all major sights and beautiful shops and eateries. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone!

A very nice hotel close to Hero’s Square in Budapest’s embassy district. The charming line 1 metro, the first underground in continental Europe. The deluxe rooms are large and comfortable with balconies facing on to the residential side street. On the downside, the hotel’s WiFi is not great, can be quite unreliable.

Overall good experience, nice hotel, large and clean rooms, and surprisingly quiet, considering it's location.
All is well, except a couple of things I have missed.
Wifi was spotty, and when a bunch of folks checked in for some conference, internet went down to zero. This is no good for any of us on a business trip, we still have to download files, so they need to up to a serious internet that can handle full load.
Two, their room service doesn't start till noon, so some of us who are in bed, sick and need some food to take their morning antibiotics with, they offer no solution. This is once again not going to work.
And they need more TV channels in English.
Otherwise, staff was great and I enjoyed my stay. Would stay there again anytime.

2nd Time Around

We stayed here last year for one night after a stay at a 5* hotel up in the castle area and were most impressed with the greeting., room., location and decided to choose to stay here for our 6 night stay this time around. It is a simple yet elegant hotel only a couple of metro stops away from the heart of Bp..our only tip for the hotel is .. please supply coffee and tea making facilities in the room for free.. a modern coffee machine .. chargeable by pod you use is just not acceptable.. also the breakfast is too expensive and not adequately replenished..mod cons for dispensing coffee and juices just don't cut it. Overall .. I would still recommend this hotel ... particularly if you want to chill out in the evening on your own balcony.

The stay at this hotel was good apart from the last night. We arrived back at the hotel at 6 to collect more money from our room. The key card slot on our door had broken down...took staff 2 hours to fix it, while this was not there fault, the fact that they offered us nothing for our inconvenience was bad service...me and my girlfriend had to basically wrangle a drink from the bar from them...which they originally wasn't even going to pay for!

Comfortable, very efficient and overall a very pleasant experience, is based about a 8 minute walk from Heroes Square so if you are using the 48 hour hop on hop off buses, it's an ideal place to stay. The room was clean and had all the minimum necessities required. Towels were a bit thin but perfectly adequate. We even had a lovely balcony!

We got a very warm welcome at first.
Then on valentinesday I was going to buy breakfast for my wife but the bacon I got was raw, I told the servant about this who was very rude and told me this was the 'hungarian style'. The next day we asked the lobbyist to order pizza for us, with only salami and garlic. After 2 hr wait the pizza arrives with tomatos and olives, I tell the man that I simply wanted salami and garlic. He gets very rude and tells me that in hungary they like pizza with olives?? Well if I had wanted olives on my pizza I had asked. Then he in a very bad mood finally calls the pizza place again, and the pizza arrives at 22:30 - we ordered at 19:00.
This attitude has me shocked, if you are not willing to listen to guests needs and only answer with 'this is how we like it here', then I dont understand why you are running a hotel.
