Great hotel. Over road from train station, clean, modern, extremely reasonably priced. Only a few pound more than the East Station Deluxe which is a scruffy hostel. This hotel is the best in the area for the price.

Very Nice Hotel, but on a Dark Street

The hotel was quite nice. The front desk gentlemen were fantastic and extremely helpful. The room was comfy and quiet, which was a plus. The couple of things were that they give you two separate comforters even when two are sleeping in the same bed. I find that odd. Also, there was a big frosted glass pane between the shower and the bedroom, which did have a shade over it, but on the shower side you can see quite a bit of mold growing inside the glass, and not sure how they can get rid of it, but it was unsightly. The breakfast was well worth the money to pay for it in advance, as there were many options to choose from. Also, probably the best tasting scrambled eggs I ever had.

I took 3 nights there this year. I liked the breakfast. But on the last day I had stomach problems because of the breakfast. The coconut milk drink was obviously spoiled. T he worker took it away with no apologize. I had few hours of headache and vomiting. It is very rare for me and the reason was their breakfast, because I eat one meal a day!

The hotel was situated close to the railway station which gave easy access to the public transport network enabling getting around easy.
The reception staff were very welcoming & helpful.
The room was compact but functional & immaculately clean when we arrived.
There weren’t any frills added like a welcoming bottle of water in the room or tea/coffee making facilities which was disappointing.
However the breakfast was good with cold & warm options available.
There were plenty of restaurants & fast food places within easy walking distance as no meals other than breakfast are served here.
There was a mini bar in the room which was chargeable but there was also a spar supermarket on the corner within a few metres to stock ip eith snacks & drinks.

I have been in 20 countries around the world, including Africa and Asia, staying in hostal, apartments, etc and this is by far the worst hotel, the dirtiest and most neglected that I have been. I couldn't stay in here, I rather lose my money, that was already unfair that spend a night here.

Arrived and checked in ok however booked two rooms and one was for friends. They scanned our passports and later told me the rooms were paid for without asking if i was ok to pay the lot. They just took the money off my card and didnt check. We have stayed here a number of times and this one we felt deflated aa it has gone downhill. Our tv didnt work which in fairness they fixed but the room smelt but our friends reported the same. Overall disappointed and probably wont return

It was a really lovely property, the host attentive, check in easy. However (huge), all of the lights in common areas were on automatic, and it's impossible to turn them off or on manually. Taking a shower, you're left in the dark, same when taking a crap. The light in kitchen the turns on and off every 30 seconds or so, maddening. It's a real shame!

Very disappointing. If I were to go back, I would book a different hotel.
There were a lot of flying bugs in the room, water leaked from the shower when there is no sewer on the bathroom floor thus creating a big puddle, you can hear the music your neighbor is listening to, and the sink was clogged as well. Not to mention the peeling wall paints.

This hotel was in an awesome location if you are travelling to Budapest by train, being only 5 mins from Keleti station. It was comfortable enough although I prefer a slightly softer bed, it didn’t stop me sleeping well, very well soundproofed. The breakfast buffet was great and the room was well appointed.

The quality of the rooms is very poor! The beds are not comfortable at all!!! We asked for help from the hotel, we were even willing to pay as much as needed to be upgraded to a room with a comfortable bed, we explained that we have back problems and cannot sleep all night. We were told that this is what there is and they have no way to help us. The response was unpleasant, with an uncaring attitude and unpleasant tones at all. I asked them to try to think of a solution. In the evening we approached again, we asked for blankets to put on the bed to make it softer as the only solution we could think of, they told us it was our problem and they wouldn't give us any blanket and that this is what we chose. Very sad! Every request or question was not answered, the level of service was terrible and unpleasant to say the least. I do not recommend the hotel at all, a very unpleasant experience and ruins the whole vacation.

The biggest selling point is its proximity with the Keleti Central station for train travelers, and the very reasonable pricing. It is also fully served by the metro, trams and buses (just buy a very economical 72 hour all-in public transport ticket ) to go round the whole Budapest.

I honestly would never stay there or recommend anyone staying there. I had to change rooms 3 times because of the filth and urine aroma. The staff was helpful and nice but the facilities were absolutely trash.

This is the hotel for you if you ...

- like the smell of drain effluent in your bathroom;

- very poor room maintenance - headboard shelf not fixed to the wall, lights not working, generally poor condition;

- if you yearn for a poor breakfast selection of items past their prime; and

- 'service' that, in my experience, is unforgettable (for all the wrong reasons).

I've never given a review before, but have done so to help fellow customers have eyes wide open as to what to expect at this hotel.

Good hotel with great location at Central station

Great hotel for the price. The location is less than a minute from the Hauptbanhoff and the Hop On Hop Off bus service. The rooms are small but have good ventilation and air conditioning. Good breakfast in the morning. Sabena at the front desk was extremely helpful and guided us with our hop on bus service which turned out to be great. The locality may not be top notch but it is safe. Value hotel.

Приличная гостиничка , но уж никак не 4* . с натяжкой можно ставить 3 *. Чистые комнаты и постельное, ванная была грязная, с чужими волосами. Краны не текут, вообще ванная вся добротная, плитка уложена аккуратно, стекло вмонтировано в стену между ванной и спальней, но стены в номере окрашены неопрятно. Завтрак вроде и есть, но как-то всё весьма посредственно. Корзины с гнилыми апельсинами и очереди из шумных жильцов чтобы занять место в столовой, сильно напрягли. От прогулочной набережной далеко, несколько км. Электрик приходил и открывал дверь \"проверять электричество\"Подойдёт тем, кому нужен железнодорожный вокзал.

Marks all over the walls, marks on duvets. Had 2 single bed duvets for a double bed? Breakfast was basic and filled with salad, no fruits. Our transfer time was booked incorrectly. We were overcharged for spa tickets as they advertise the price incorrectly only to get to the spa and to be charged more! Wouldn’t recommend.

The hotel was conveniently placed opposite the Keleti Railway Station. Think there are 2 Metro lines passing there + bus routes. The reception check-in staff was cheerful despite being solo and several customers haranguing him. The room was adequately sized and neat. The bed was comfortable. There’s a safe and a mini bar, which was not present in 2 other hotels I stayed at earlier that week. Was happy with room except for a low volume gurgling sound that came out from the exhaust port in the toilet. Able to sleep through though. Wrote about this on Google Maps and the hotel responded almost immediately that they would have done something about it if I had actually told them about this issue The area is 2-3 train stops from the city Centre, and appears like a rougher neighborhood. But I walked around there for 3 days with no issues. The Arena Mall about 800 m walk which I walked to. The Heroes Memorial about 15-20 min walk. Overall, happy with my stay

**AVOID THIS PLACE**

Where do I even start with this place. We were greeted with a big stain by the door entering our hotel room, the room itself was filthy and very small. The bed was very uncomfortable, the pillows were about as thick as two sheets of paper. The view out of the room was a wall so nearly no light came into the room. The breakfast was so bad we only drank the coffee and left to buy something outside of the hotel even though we paid for breakfast. On one of the nights we stayed there some people decided to have a party they we running around in the corridors screaming and knocking on people’s doors, we complained the following morning the solution from the hotel was to give us a free drink at the bar or an extended checkout to actually get sleep. Absolutely atrocious. The surrounding areas is in a worse part of town many drunks and homeless people loiter around and it’s not so close to the city really. This is very far from a 4 star hotel, more like 2.5, I would recommend staying anywhere else except here. Horrible in all areas avoid it.

The location is fantastic, right next to train station and a 1 euro train ride to city centre. The room was clean & cool. Towels a bit grey & old but clean. Second stay in this Hotel which I guess says all you need to know. Price is good in relation to quality of establishment, it's just across the road from Keleti station for onward travel. The area is more typical Budapest than some of the establishment's closer to down town (which I happen to like but if you're queasy then stay away)

Nice place and location. Great price.

Nice location bang opposite the main train station of Budapest. Euro rails can be taken from there. Very nice staff, they accommodate requests and guide you as required. Provided a water kettle on request. Rooms are spacious, ask for an upgrade, they will try their best. Money exchange (good rate) and eateries including Sparr (departmental store) bang opposite.

This hotel is certainly not a 4*, and advertising it that way is definitely misleading! Quite rough and dirty area, and very basic small room. Staff were nice but didn't make up for the lack of 4* facilities. This means it's not value for what you pay!

Busy location but hotel is on a side street. Basic hotel would not describe as 4star. Some cleanliness problems and toiletry supplies in clinical dispensers. Buffet breakfast not usually a problem but there wasnt much choice on offer. Luckily we only stayed 1night in Budapest.

Nice hotel on a quiet street off a busy Main Street.Very good location within walking distance from Heroes Square and Szechenyi Thermal bath and opposite Keleti Station.The staff were all very polite and helpful,especially the reception staff,they couldn’t do enough and had an answer and a solution for everything we asked,from restaurants,tours to printing boarding passes.Very pleasant stay.

Lovely hotel, reception staff friendly, breakfast staff could do with cracking a smile sometimes - the breakfast supervisor was helpful though!
Rooms were clean, plenty of space just too hot!! Couldn’t get the air con to adjust to make it cooler, it was -9 outside so just thing they put heating on full, which was warm warm warm!!
Facilities were great. Good cheap base for Budapest if you don’t mind a fair walk into the city. Probably wouldn’t stay again as it’s a bit far out, however if you like using public transport would be ideal.

Brilliant staff, the hotel suited our needs and the 'handy' phone that you are provided was brilliant so we didn't need to take both of our phones. The leaflets were handy, but we had already looked ahead of what we wanted to do. The metro is close by which was handy.
The breakfast suited our needs for the morning, pastries, scrabbled eggs, french toast and fruit, cereal etc.

We would go back again, the bed was slightly hard but for a nights sleep...it's not the worst.

The hotel is located in the central of Budapest. It's easy to explore Budapest by Metro train. Staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful. The room is very clean and tidy.
However, there were no English channel e.g. BBC, CNN etc. on TV programme.

Free smart phone provided that we took with us on our second day while roaming around the city

Not really Cons but let’s just say rooms for improvement:
No maple syrup for French toast. First day I thought they just run out of it. So I said ok. But second day? Still no syrup.
Our room was not serviced. I guess it’s our fault because we left the room past 1pm???
No free coffee maker in the room unless you upgrade.
