Stayed in the Superior Double room with ocean view. The ocean view was beautiful but the room is TINY and was barely large enough for my group. We needed to coordinate opening our suitcases since only one could be open at a time. Furthermore, the bunk bed is super flimsy and there’s a hanging lamp right above the ladder of the top bunk, making it difficult to climb up.

The TV in our room was also not working, which we were told was a hotel wide issue. I’m skeptical about this because we were able to see and hear other people’s TVs were working when we walked past open doors. When we brought this issue up with the staff, they were dismissive and insinuated we just didn’t know how TVs worked (admittedly this is possible, but the error message on the TV made it very clear it was a connectivity issue).

Lastly, it did not feel the cleanest - we saw 3 bugs around the room and even after the sheets were changed, there still appeared to be some stains on the sheets.

Would not recommend staying here.

The property needs to be renovated and deeply cleaned. My shower had sitting water due to poor leveling causing gnats and flies to linger. The door in the restroom was peeling and torn. The closet floors were unswept.

One of the staff members was very aggressive and got into a verbal argument with me and my friend. Not professional at all and to avoid conflict in another country we left to another hotel to feel safe.

Management didn't handle the situation accordingly and hasn't even reached out about the situation.

Expedia tried reaching out to them but wasn't avle to solve the situation.

I wouldn't recommend this place while that employee is still working there.

The rest of the staff were magnificent. They were great the first days I was there. That rude employee should learn from them, but in my opinion they should fire him.

I'm just one person who has an issue with him and I bet there are more guest that feel the same.

This was not a 3 star hotel. There were too many problems. The condition of the room was very poor. There were broken door handles and window pulleys. The noise from the street was terrible. I use white noise apps, but they didn’t help. I should have believed the other reviews. I had to ask for a floor towel and a hand towel. The gym is not satisfactory.

The weather was terrible for 4 of the 5 days so being near the beach and having a pool were wasted. There are very few restaurant options and no coffee shops nearby. I would highly recommend staying near the centro.

The staff was nice and helpful.

i would pick thus place if youre looking for somewhere cheap and close to the beach. the front desk girl is nice and helpful, the the man that works the night shiftvfront desk is not so nice and charges for everything you ask and gives bad attitude.

The only good thing about this place that doesn’t even qualify to be a motel is the view and it’s very convenient, the AC works great, breakfast was included and it was good. However This place needs a revamp asap. Needs to invest on towels ( they are in very poor shape), bed spread and sheets ( thinnest sheets ever), there was not a blanket, the bunk bed was very flimsy, I was afraid it might break, they didn’t clean the room, we asked for towels they never brought them, one of the elevator didn’t work properly, you call the front desk and they don’t answer , the TV didn’t work, the staff could have a better attitude.. I can keep going on. Anyway stay away from this place.

Won’t stay in this property in a million years, rooms are terrible, for the price been you can stay in a better hotel in town, the mirror was broken and painted, all the doors were old and wore out, closet door was broke, noisy room road is next to place and windows are not noise protected, crazy to say in other words.

I did not like the room. Room was very hot when we entered. The shower head wouldn’t turn off & sprayed all over the bathroom. Room smelt like mildew. Walls were warped from no ventilation. Hotel and room was not what I expected. I would not stay there.

This place has a good location cause is close to the airport and to the main places at Cartagena. BUT IT’S SUPER NOISY, if you ask for sea view be prepared to listen cars all night, you are going to listen the party buses and the cars honking all night!
I had to ask for a change of room, cause I couldn’t sleep, at first they refuse, but since my window was a little open and they couldn’t close it, they had to give me the change of room. It was a really bad experience, and for that price you can get a better hotel!
It needs maintenance honestly and rooms are SUPER SMALL, the staff is good though.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

After booking this hotel, we arrived to check in and paid directly with the hotel, once we were taken to our room I WAS SHOCKED once I saw the actual room! I could not believe this was the room that I saw advertised online. The rooms looked absolutely nothing like the photos. To be honest I have seen homeless shelters in better conditions than the rooms here!
To top it off the wifi was not working on the entire floor and was told to use it downstairs as it was the only place it was working!
After speaking with the reception staff about getting a refund because we simply couldn't stay in this hotel, I was told they cannot refund to my card and that I had to come back tomorrow to see the manager who will be able to initiate the refund for me!
After booking another hotel and returning the next day the manager said the refund will take 5 - 10 working days. It's now been over 3 weeks and no sign of the refund!! I even left with a proof of letter as I did not trust them confirming I didn't actually stay in the hotel and I did not use there services, and still no refund!

Also hotel tried to contact the property several times and nobody could get through to the hotel at all and the hotel is literally non responsive to calls and emails so if you ever have an issue, it will more than likely not get resolved by this hotel!

I would recommend to AVOID this place at all costs!

My only regret is not taking pictures of the actual room to show! I did not spend more than a min in the room!

The presentation of the property mislead me on making the reservation. The room is small no place to sit down, noisy, the view to the beach is just a window. No balcony. Disappointed with this hotel.

I liked the pool with the view and my room with the ocean view as well. It was very inexpensive and I got breakfast every morning. Staff was friendly too. The 2 main things I did not like were that my room with the ocean view was in the Main Street so I heard the cars all night long. If you can’t sleep with noise did not get the ocean view. 2nd I won’t be specific with my experience but just be aware of your belongings. Especially when they do room service. You can’t really walk around this area, I would go to the centro every day for food or sightseeing. It’s like a 5 minute drive

Decent hotel. The pool area is small and always loaded with people. The restaurant is tiny, and often there is a line to enter. I ate at tables that were dirty and still had plates and glasses from the last people. The wifi didnt work at all in my room and the windows with my ocean view were filthy dirty so i could hardly see out. Not a great stay.

Stay at Ibis next door, spare the headaches.

Front desk staff doesn’t know what they’re doing. Breakfast terrible and packed with no ventilation or place to sit. THE WORST part is they allow and maybe even encourage the taxis and hasslers (the ones who follow you for a block) to stay right in front of hotel’s only exit. STAY AT THE IBIS next door! They would not tolerate this and can actually be cheaper. When I complained and asked to leave through the staff’s exit (yes, it’s this bad!), the “supervisor” ignored and made little of my discomfort. As a female guest, this made me feel unsafe. Also, I was given a small family room full of beds and no space even though I booked a double bed room. But I would’ve looked past this if not for other issues. (Ps. this was not a cheap stay.)

Amazing breakfast, affordable, friendly staff and hotel is right in front of the beach. Only downside is there is very limited parking so if you have a car that could be a challenge. Parking is free but I only saw 4 or 5 spaces available in total in the space on the side of the hotel.

An overall good stay

Hotel Aixo Suites was a great place to stay in Cartagena.

It is located in the Marbella water-front part of Cartagena, 5mins from the airport and 5mins to the historical district.

The rooms are good and clean, the rooftop pool has a nice view, and the breakfast is very good. The staff is quite friendly and I felt that this was an overall good stay!

The pictures of the pool is what attracted me and my friend. The pool is nice and it does look like that however the hotel in general is a very, very, very tight fit. You feel like families are on top of each other in the lunch area, the pool area is small, the towels are small, and the ocean view is beautiful however VERY NOISY. The hotel put effort in the lobby to make it look modern and the pool view to draw people in however it's smoke and mirrors. The pool closes at 8:30 pm, you cannot bring guests over without them either Denying you to have them after 10:30 pm or you having to pay for them extra!!! The staff acts like you are in grade school not allowing you to take extra towels or out of the hotel without asking. There is NO PATIO AREA to drink and relax therefore you use the same food lounge area in which you have to ask to USE! Beds and pillows were very UNCOMFORTABLE. Overall the whole point of traveling to Cartagena is to have a relaxed environment which the staff and hotel does not provide. When attempting to speak with a manger on the discomfort and inconsistent information from hotel staff on guests, they redirect you and eventually tell you there is no one on the property. You cannot check to see if there is room availability until the morning (I was expecting guests from out of town and had to wait till the AM to speak with someone if there were rooms available). The beach view was beautiful but not worth this hassle. DO NOT STAY HERE, not worth it..

The staff were amazing. The hotel was nothing to write home about. Good location, but hotel need some serious maintainece. There were no hand or face towels. The breakfast was the same all 7dys....scrambled eggs, white bread, bad coffee and hotdogs and sausages. WiFi keep going out and we had to continually sign in. I paid for ocean view but had to remind them. Couch in lobby needs cleaning.

Great staff but need to finish renovating

Lobby and breakfast area were beautiful but the first \"ocean view\" room we were put in to was very disappointing. Was quite small and looked unfinished. There were no side tables for the bed so the phone was on the floor. We asked to be moved to another room which looked nicer and completed but whoever built the shower put the drain on the higher side of the shower floor rather than the lower side so the shower never drained and flooded out into the room every time we took a shower. Also the wifi wasn't working on the second day we were there, and we ended up leaving after that. I did feel bad for the staff who did apologize for everything but whoever owns or manages this hotel needs to sort these things out.

Lugar demasiado FEO, la habitación exageradamente pequeña, incómoda y con un olor a excremento que era insupportable, nos tuvimos que ir a la mañana siguiente porque llegamos de noche y ya no era posible conseguir otro lugar, mi esposo y yo teníamos reserva para 6 noches, nos quedamos solo una noche, hablé con el administrador y no me dió ninguna solución; les dije que al menos me regresaran la mitad del valor de la reserva, pero si respuesta fue negativa, pero este señor ni siquiera tuvo la decencia de salir a explicarme; solo se limitó a dejarme un mensaje en recepción; por otro lado, el desayuno es horrible, el lugar cochino y con moscas; en general es la peor experiencia que hemos tenido; nos fuimos a un Hotel que nos costó solo un poco más, pero el cambio fué abismal; no le recomiendo este lugar ni a mi peor enemigo, no pierdan su dinero.
Para Que se llame hotel tendrían que construirlo de Nuevo, le di una Estrella porque no hay menos de eso

Boa localização, mas a acomodação deixou a desejar

O hotel cumpriu com a pontualidade no check-in, e tanto o serviço de quarto quanto o atendimento foram satisfatórios. No entanto, a estrutura do hotel apresenta diversas limitações: quartos e corredores com pinturas desgastadas, guarda-roupas danificados, elevadores lentos e uma academia com equipamentos bastante antigos. Além disso, o café da manhã foi um ponto de insatisfação. A oferta era básica, frequentemente faltavam itens, as opções disponíveis eram muito oleosas, e o fato de os hóspedes não poderem se servir foi incômodo. Um funcionário era responsável por servir as porções, mas sem qualquer critério claro, o que gerou desconforto. Por fim, embora a localização seja próxima a pontos turísticos, os funcionários recomendaram o uso de carros particulares devido à insegurança da região. Por todos esses motivos, minha avaliação é 7/10.

Struttura non ben mantenuta, i mobili della camera erano tutti rovinati, camera molto piccola e non estremamente pulita. Avevamo una camera con vista mare e il rumore della strada era eccessivo a causa del traffico perenne.
Colazione mediocre.
Posizione non male, direttamente sul mare (mare però non propriamente bello, anche se ci sono strutture per bagnarsi e la gente era a fare il bagno), e in 20 minuti a piedi si arriva al centro.
