We had a wonderful stay, very clean, delicious breakfast, Sebastian at the front desk was very helpful for our transfer to our next hotel, great value for price. It’s a few minutes walking outside walled city and they offer a shuttle service into walled city if you don’t want to walk. Taxis are plenty and not expensive.
My only issue which is a pet peeve of mine is that we arrived at 4pm, 1 hour past check in and our room wasn’t ready but upon a bit of insistance we only waited about 10mins.

Couple first trip to Colombia

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel thanks to Fernandez and Oscar. I want to make a special mention to Oscar who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. He also assisted us in booking our taxi to Santa Marta which we could not have done without him.
Things that could be improved are room service and improving clearing the plates at breakfast.
We had a delicious meal at the restaurant for lunch and would recommend it.
We also arranged a trip to Rosario which was amazing. The hotel is close enough to the main city and it is easy to walk or get a taxi.
Overall a lovely experience. With wonderful Colombian hospitality.

Very clean and unique boutique hotel very close to District Histórico and across road from beach with clear view to waterfront. If you like smaller hotels with adequate amenities and a boutique feel you will like this option. Also if you plan to spend multiple days dining, shopping, and exploring the Old City this is a great location with Ubers costing < $4 US to go to and from.

The staff are extremely kind and attentive. I was a solo traveler and felt welcomed and familiar with everyone. The room I got was a little noisy, but traffic is noisy in general. A beautiful church and park is located walking distance behind the hotel. Breakfast had a large area just for fruits. Their fruits have a rich and complex taste. Breakfast had many options that satisfy any diet. The area El Cabrero es located close to a main avenue that communicates with many parts of the city. It is relatively close to the airport. They have airport shuttle but iOS services start after 7:00 AM. There is a little restaurant for locals next to the hotel. Their food is good. The owner is kind and will help with crossing the street if wanting to cross to the beach. The sunset is beautiful in front of the hotel. The weather is less humid and hot around 5:00PM

So glad I stay at this location! The staff were very friendly and helpful! The location is also great, it’s right in front of the beach and there is a Mega Tienda 5 minutes away (walking)! Super convenient for those who plan on taking snacks around on tours, etc. The pool is calm and we can order drinks from the bar and catch the sunset from the pool, I would recommend this location to any visiting Cartagena!

My experience was immediately dampened by the staff at the front desk. The ladies were rude and not helpful. One, that looked like she might have been the Manager, was so completely pretentious and could have cared less that it was past check in time and we were still sitting there waiting on our room. The next day I returned to ask if someone could help connect me with a tour guide and she just shook her head and offered zero solution or recommendation on where I could get help. It’s a shame that these ladies really dampened my experience at what I thought was a relatively decent hotel. The front door staff, restaurant staff were great.

I also feel like they should have someone who help you book tours when you get there, that would be helpful at the hotel itself. Overall I give it 7/10. Thank you !

Check in late afternoon took close to an hour. They told us it would take 5 min to get room ready and it was 45 min after we waited in line and did all the formalities. Then were assigned room with very noisy AC. Asked to change after showering and it took another 20 minutes. There is a tire shop next door and most of rooms lack a nice view

The property was super clean, the staff was extremely friendly, most of them spoke English. The bellboy Sebastian is the most humble person we met at the hotel, he was very helpful with recommendations of where to eat, he provided us with a walk-through of do’s and don’ts when we’re walking on the street. The continental breakfast is chargeable and very delicious. Overall the food in the hotel whether you choose to eat in the beautiful courtyard, indoor or the poolside, the food is very tasteful, and the drinks are very tasty. The beach is right across the street but it’s a local beach, there are vendors that you can rent a chair from, other vendors, who walk around selling food and drinks.

Location is close to airport 6 km and old city walls which is walking distance. However, you cannot walk to the old city due to safety and heavy vehicular traffic. The access is only via taxi which is inexpensive 15 - 30 K pesos about $4.00 -$7.50 due to traffic comditions.

Roof terrace / pool is very nice especially at sunset

The roof has fixed glass window and no fresh air. The Air Conditioning is blows 15 degree air directly to your bed. As a result, we got sick. Althought we complained to the reception and left a sketch that describes alternate improvements such as adjustable diffuser or reflector to be installed to redirect cold air away from.the beds. It did nor happen.
The restuarant and food / drink services were good. The rnglish language barrier with staff has limitations and at times we had errors in the food order.
The reception staff is good. The busmen David is excellent by showing the room and explaining functions and facilities. He has good command of english.
The consiege person has limited english. The Rosio islannd tour was not that great at all

The Door was broken and banged. Also the sofa had so many stains. There was a weird smell in the room. The Bathroom had nothing, no soap or anything. We asked for Conceirge to guide us to make reservation for restaurant, she was sitting in the bar area. Which was very weird for me. She did not speak english and told us to whatsapp her. We did but never got a response back from her. Very poor service. Would not recommand this hotel for sure. His is did not look like a Marriott hotel or had the service of Marriott hotel

Stayed here for a week. Anyone who complains about this hotel is just someone who can’t be pleased with anything. Staff was super accommodating with whatever needs the guests have. The excursions to the islands were amazing and unbelievably priced. The layout of the hotel is stunning. My room was kept spotless daily by the housekeepers. The breakfast buffet offered something for everyone. The rooftop pool was super relaxing and always refreshing for the heat. Huge shout out to Diego at the Oasis bar!! Helped me a ton with suggestions on food, things to do, improving my very poor Spanish skills, and of course making some amazing drinks. That guy is top notch!

The staff was friendly and accommodating. Although our Spanish is very limited they were able to assist whenever we had questions. The inluded breakfast had a variety of free options, and additional specialties at a cost. The rooftop pool was small, but not overcrowded. The hotel is located across the street from a beach that is good for sunbathing, but not for swimming, as the waves are rough.
It is a ten minute walk from the walled city, where there are many restaurants and stores.

Our stay here was very disappointing and the service here was not that of a 4star hotel. I feel like the reviews online are very misleading for this hotel. It is definitely not a 4 star hotel, and is more along the lines of a 2star. We stayed here for almost a week. We were in a superior king room, which was noisy and small. The hotel is along a main road so any water view comes with traffic noise and diesel fumes of the trucks. They then moved us to a quieter but smaller room (smaller than what we paid for). The staff were very rude and unhelpful- they were not able to help us with transportation outside of the airport and the wall city, they could not help us with money exchange, and were extremely unhelpful for booking/recommendations for tours. For booking a tour they gave us a number of a person who did not respond. The location of the hotel is a 20min walk from the middle of the old city but is sketchy to do so alone at night. The breakfast is mediocre at best. I would not recommend anyone to stay here, it is not worth your money, nor do you get the usual Colombian hospitality that we received throughout the rest of the city/country.

Noisy hotel with a horrible smell

The reviews for the hotel are misleading!! The location is walking distance to the walled city but is located in a sketchy and unsafe area of Cartagena. I had an ocean view room and the room was spacious and looked good however there is a very busy road/freeway right by the window of the room, located between the hotel and the ocean that had constant traffic and loud party buses going through it the whole night. I would rate the noise level 8/10 for the ocean view rooms and very uncomfortable to deal with. There is also a very strange industrial smell in this hotel that bothered me the most during my stay. There is an auto body shop next door that could be the source of that or perhaps the fumes from the many cars on the adjacent freeway, but the smell was awful and I highly recommend avoiding this hotel if you are sensitive to chemical smells or loud traffic noise. Overall I would not recommend this hotel at all.
