Lovely stay, great amenities. The only reason to drop a star is the evening meal times. 7pm is a bit too late for it to be family friendly. It was a coincidence for us that Ramadan was on so we were able to get in at 6pm otherwise we would have suffered.

This is a beautiful property with excellent staff who are truly a pleasure to know.
It’s let down by the amount of children who sit and splash around the swim up bar . The rules of no under 16s at the bar are not enforced . Maybe considering and adults only pool rather than a kids water park area which is unused would be better for your customers. I’m sure more would return if this happened . All in all it’s a beautiful well maintained hotel with fantastic food and amazing staff .

An amazing 5* hotel, with the best all inclusive we’ve ever visited.

The buffet was amazing and the a la carte restaurants were sublime, again all inclusive.
Snacks, cocktails, milkshakes and ice cream all brilliant.

Staff all very friendly, polite and helpful.

A great family holiday with everything you need at the hotel, yet easy access to Abu Dhabi with Ubers and taxis.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay very special. I can’t name any stand out staff as they were all fantastic.

Great hotel. Only thing I would improve is that for an all-inclusive package, I would expect at least a restaurant available every hour. Given that is not the case, you have to accommodate your plans to the schedule of the hotel, which seems counter intuitive to me.

For example, the restaurant was not available between 4:00pm - 7:00pm.

What an amazing hotel, the staff were so friendly. The receptionist Harman was lovely. She helped us out so much. There was a lovely young lad, Wendell, who did our drinks for us such a amazing character, another lovely person called Zebh we met at the bar was so friendly, the food was to die for I’ve never had such tasty food ever on holiday. The rooms were nice. We had a family room but we never wanted a family room because we went as friends and it was a bit awkward having a family room.. we had a bad experience with a taxi driver that was ordered from the front door of the hotel, but the company that hired the taxi driver was at fault, not the hotel, all in all the hotel was beautiful. The ambience in the restaurants were lovely and food was amazing. You can’t go wrong! Thank you Rixos you were amazing x

Overall great hotel. Superb facilities with excellent levels of entertainment for all ages; families with or without children. A la carte dining options are authentic and very well executed. The New Year’s Gala Dinner was fantastic and a credit to all whom organised it. The rooms are comfortably appointed and the hotel is spotless; cleaned regularly and rigorously every day. The all inclusive package makes the difference with children and is generally very good value for money. Thoroughly recommended.

Stayed at the Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island for 16 nights and could have stayed longer.
The concierge team on arrival were excellent, very polite and professional. Our bags arrived at our room at the same time we opened the door. The front desk staff were helpful in moving our room closer to the main pool as requested, just our preference of location.

Food at the hotel: you can’t book à la carte restaurants until the 3rd day of your stay, which is okay if you’re on a long stay like we were, but if you’re staying only a week, you won’t get the full benefits as they are often booked out unless you want a 9pm reservation. If you have young kids, it’s not really an option to go out for dinner that late. The restaurants you can book for à la carte are really good options all around for adults, with a different mixture of choices. The only downside is they didn’t have many options for kids’ meals other than chicken nuggets and chips. It would be nice to see more options for kids.

The kids’ club is excellent. The team are really helpful and very polite, and the kids always wanted to go back for more playtime. The kids’ waterpark needs a little TLC; it looked a little worn down the year before, and this year you can see it needs updating and repairs in certain areas. The wave pool was good and is in better condition than the water park.

The pool staff at the main pool are always polite and really quick to deliver drinks when ordered. The lifeguards are great too.

Beach and the sea are amazing. Pool was great- cool water, good, chilled not too loud music. Drinks at pool bar served very quick. Plenty of sun beds.
Staff amazing and professional throughout.
Lobby bar-excellent service for either a cocktail or coffee with a cake. Great decor.
Aircon in the room was really annoying- had to be set really cold for the moisture/humidity not to condensate on the floor, furniture, mirrors.
Although there was plenty of food and presentation was great it wasn't the best quality, everything seemed to taste the same.

Overall I would give this stay a 2.5/5. I will provide pros and cons:

Pros:
1. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Firoj and Ameer remembered our drink orders and stood out to us. Dona at reception was very helpful and polite!
2. The lobby is beautifully decorated and the courtyard was lovely to sit in. Drink service in the lobby lounge was always excellent.
3. Smooth check in process.

Cons:
1. Food poisoning!!! We strictly only ate from the hotel (obviously - it was an all inclusive!). On the last night right before checking out I got severe food poisoning and this completely ruined the last day of my holiday. I’ve been unwell all week since. During my visit I did notice a lot of first aiders on site so it makes me wonder if lots of other guests have had the same issue?
2. The service at this hotel was good but not as excellent as Rixos JBR.
3. The shampoo/conditioner/body wash was secured to the walls which meant when using the bathtub you were unable to access these amenities. It also took away from the “premium” feel of the stay - this is the kind of behaviour you expect at a cheap travel lodge.
4. The kids pool was quite cold compared to the adults pool. Unfortunately the music at the adults pool is far too loud to enjoy sunbathing or relaxing in that area.
5. Resort is quite small compared to how it is advertised on social media.
6. A la carte restaurants were awful. The food at the buffet was much nicer. Booking was awful.

Overall was NOT a premium stay.

A big shout out to Keenan in the diningroom he is an absolute star. He kept the same table for us, had drinks ready on arrival, his service was second to none.

Do not come this hotel

The hotel is amazing, the service in the pool area also.
But expect that: the food at the hotel is not more then discussing. Maybe they have much food to choose but the quality of the food is horrible.
The office desk guys was so unkindly if I look at all the other hotels i have been in the uae.
The manager of the restaurants called bibi is a terrible guy who I won’t let him to manage a kiosk.
So the overall when I payed around 500usd per night is not worth it at all

This was our second time to stay at the premium room, we came back because we had a great experience the first time. But we were really disappointed this time for a couple of reasons:
1- my sister came to visit in order to see the room/ pools as she was planning to book later on but they didnt allow her to see our room neither to check the pool and beach area despite how much we tried with them but they were very rude with this matter!
2- on our second night i got a food poisoning and was not able to leave the room the whole day until check out.
My family and I will consider other resorts for our future bookings although we like the idea of the pool access rooms

Many parts were spectacular, however the room did not contain bathrobes and some of the toiletries in Standadr 5 star hotels. The air conditioning didn’t work and when trying to get help in the middle of the night there were no robes to put on, no apologies just asked us why we didn’t call for the robes.... we ask for them , yet they came in the middle of the night with no robes and kept calling , problems not solved , no offer to reconcile the inconvenience and we had a sleepless night.
The restaurant, bar and Pool service was outstanding. The aqua fitness was amazing!

We had an amazing experience at the Rixos for a 1 night stay this weekend. The staff are all so friendly and the service is the best of anywhere I’ve been. Every staff member you come across from the pool waiters to the concierge to the restaurant staff are absolutely amazing and so helpful. All of the food and drinks are out of this world and the breakfast is the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. We have been to the Rixos many times and will continue to do so.

For one night stay we were charged US$435. We expected top of the range service and quality, consistent with the top of the range price. The quality of service was very mediocre which is typically found in 2 or 3 star hotels. The variety and availability of food was limited. Opening hours of some outlets were designed to force guests to using pay food services rather than relying on the 'full board' booking.

The room was clean and facilities were also clean but the overall experience was underwhelming.

Lovely hotel & great value for money. A little disappointing that only 1 a la carte restaurant was open as I prefer not to dine in buffet restaurants for dinner & also that the lunch restaurant on the beach was also not open (only buffet option available for lunch too). I loved the pool. But wait for service was too long. No food was allowed to be ordered by the pool which was a first one for us in Abu Dhabi. There was no drinks service at all by the beach. Couldn’t get fresh beach towels either at the beach or at the pool - also no other hotel we stayed had this silly rule. I did not see a single time anyone sanitize the loungers. Food selection at the buffet was very limited and long wait at each station - it was clear that half the people serving did not speak or understand English.

Second time staying in the Rixos, and am already looking forward to going back again soon. Yet again it exceeded all my expectations - it is one of my favorite staycays in UAE. Staff are all so friendly, kind, helpful and welcoming especially Ahmet (skater waiter) and Michel (Bartender in pool bar). The rooms are of a high standard with comfy beds and amazing views. Food was buffet style, as opposed to table service the last time, which worked far better for them and us as there was less waste, and also much quicker. Beautiful decor and ambiance throughout the hotel! Pool was amazing (closed last time I went so took advantage of it this time), and beach is also beautiful. The bar was lovely at nighttime also. Would highly recommend.

The restaurant situation should be made clearer. The fact that you now have to pay to eat in the restaurants is off putting which is probably why they have hidden this in the fine print.

The food at Turquoise is not to a good standard of quality at all. If you are by the pool or at the beach you have to get dressed to go inside for a snack. Not even crisps or nuts available. Apparently these are available during the weekend because that is when you are busier and so we were obviously not worth bothering about. That made us feel very valued.

We ended up ordering from a grocery app to have some crisps delivered. I wonder if they know that they are being advertised as \"ultra all inclusive\" online?

The waiting staff in the restaurant and by the pool bar have been pleasant enough but your reception staff could do with some customer service training. They truly don't look to give a crap when we complained about the snack situation.

We had a massage in the spa. The massage was OK but the towels felt as though they had been washed with starch, they were far from comfortable. And the dressing gowns looked like they belonged to a homeless shelter. Hardly befitting the 400dhs bill. The jacuzzi was absolutely freezing so we didn't use that.

They have lost your appeal with us I'm afraid. There are far nicer hotels along the same strip of beach with great prices and much better manners and we will be taking our business there from now on.

The food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) as well as the service at the main restaurant was superb (all inclusive basis). The room service was very good but the corridors and the room itself smelled humidity, and there appeared to be a leakage from the toilet flusher since the bathroom floor was constantly wet. We were hoping we could stay two full days by the beach and at the pool (paying for our food and drinks after checking out). However, when we checked out the next day (and the hotel had kindly gave us a late check-out until 3:00 after we complained about the humid room), we learned that we have to leave the hotel premises since the number of the guests was limited due to the COVID-19 situation. We were surprised to hear about this and did not find it to make any sense as the day before (which was a Friday) had far more people around the pool and at the beach than the next day when we checked out. The bartenders were friendly except for one working at the beach bar and had a rude attitude. Although the beach was really nice and clean, the service of emptying the trash cans by the sun-beds was non-existent.

the resort was (OK) but the staff was so annoying, most of the facilities where closed because of the conditions of the Covid-19, however the pool and beach where open but they close it at 6:30 pm and you cant even set beside the pool or access the beach, after 6:30 you don't have anything to do in the hotel, for towels better get your own because if you want to wait for them to bring towels for the pool you will waste your day waiting.
I have to mention also, the all day dining restaurant you will find all things repeated the whole day and almost all of it not fresh cocked and stored from the day before or more.
Over all This is one time try trust me if you go there you will never think to repeat it, from the first day of my stay noticed the hotel is empty and its obvious why is that, the only good thing is the cleanliness and that at least expected after you pay that price for 5 star resort, also i have to mention the beautiful architecture and decoration of the place and the marvelous beach of Al Saadyat island.
I don't recommend This Resort there is better options in the same area.

Nice hotel. Check in wanted to charge me extra for my 10 year old. luckily, I had him included in my booking. Children under 11 is free, but reception staff said it is under 6 years old free. I don't know why they do this but this was the only bad experience I had.

Beautiful hotel in stunning location

We booked for just one night to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Staff were very attentive and the hotel is stunning. Beach staff were ok. Unfortunately we were unable to book al a carte restaurants as they were fully booked which meant we ate buffet style. With food allergies this wasn’t great as there was a limited choice. They were very helpful finding us drinks though! The pool was quickly crowded in the morning with lots of children. Would have been nice for an adults only area as we had booked in to escape ours!

Gorgeous beach resort

It’s a beautiful hotel, gorgeous lobby and the service is excellent. The hallway leading to the suite wasn’t to the level of the rest of the hotel.

Overall the hotel was amazing but the food options isnt great you have to eat during the 3 meals timing otherwise you have to order from room service surcharge . I loved the hotel , staff , amazing check in with hot welcomes from diana and demitri .

Loved the drinks and the restaurant meals Asian and Italian. The breakfast was a let down really limited items. Lunch was good durong the week but the menu changed at the weekend and was more limited. Rooms sre gorgeous and beach is fan!

at first i didnt believe what i read in the reviews before booking in rixos abu dhabi, so then i said let me try .all i can say is its really below average the service there. like the service is really bad.not even passing in a standard of 3star hotel.its dirty everywhere.i book the room King deluxe and all the bed sheets and pillows smells very bad. i did ask the supervisor to change and they did change but still its the same smell of a room not even for 2 star. the over all stay is disappointing. i am lucky i cancel the 2 days extention and just boooked one day otherwise thousands of dirhams will all be wasted .

Felt Safe during covid times with family

We had booked an all inclusive stay for the weekend. We had a 1 year old daughter and felt very safe with the procedures in place. Staff was amazing and very accommodating at the turquoise restaurant. Overall made the stay a pleasant one.

Cons:

We booked a sea view room. The down side was the balcony had a wall rather than a glass or grill. So if we sat down we couldn't see anything. Its sad when you pay for the additional view and you cant enjoy it. This room should be given as the last preference when you had other rooms empty with an open view option. I noticed another customer complaining about it on our way out.

Pandemic getaway

Booked the Rixos for a mini-escape away from the current crisis and precautions and the Rixos gave us everything we could have hoped for. A beautiful hotel, friendly staff, amazing food and free-flowing drinks. Outstanding.

Disappointing!

I was extremely disappointed, when I booked for Rixos I was expecting a 5 stars resort experience but It was below average.
We had our lunch at Turquoise and the food was incredibly BAD! We had tried everything on the menu and guess what they are all tasteless, waiters are so nice but its not a 5 stars service you would expect.
Dinner at the same restaurant since all other restaurants included it was fully booked! Food was okay... at least it had some taste in it.
Finally, the breakfast which I can nominate for the worst thing that happened to me in 2020.
Talking about facilities, the beach is clean and good. If you want to drink you have to walk to the beach bar to order. Which they serve some nice cocktails.
Room was clean and smells new, no complains on that at all.
Some of the staff are rude, I went to the lobby bar at 10 PM and asked from cranberry juice and he was like with a very angry face SIR WE ARE CLOSED!
Honestly, I wont book there again this was my first all inclusive package and looks like the last. I would rather pay for what I am eating and drinking than getting horrible food.

Amazing stay..... loved it

Started off slightly bad - hotel was very busy- I suspect busier than was expected but things quickly turned around.. thanks to the amazing efforts of one of the managers - Pradeep and some other staff. it ended being an amazing stay.... will definitely do this again very soon. The inclusive drinks include some premium whiskey as well... the pools were not open but the beach covered up for that. Thumps up.

I don’t know if it was because of Covid 19 or it was always like this Terrible as it was our first stay in it and definitely our last..... the food is bad... service is bad... rooms are not comfortable and noisy from next door room hosting bunch of drunk people partying.... there were drunk people shouting in the lobby bar ... when you go the breakfast... you are treated like you are in a hostel and specific food shoved in your face despite the fact that you ordered something else.... the only good thing. Was dinner in the Asian restaurant with a very friendly waitress ms. Delicia...

Amazing stay!
Everything was perfect. Quick check in, lovely staff, great food and drinks, fabulous room and facilities. Everything was so clean, and of high standard especially at this time during the pandemic. Pity we couldn’t use the pool as it looked amazing, but understandable at the moment. Front officer manager Firat was so friendly and kind. Ahmed the skater waiter was amazing, very attentive and great service. Amazing stay. Would highly recommend!

Outstanding service from all staff, always welcoming and amenable.
Only minor gripes were there was nothing to do on poor weather, and the buffet menu never changed at all so if you visited more than a couple of times it was repetitive, though still of a good standard.
Al la carte restaurant food was excellent
