In Maryah Island, you're spoilt for choice, but the Rosewood delivers above all. Its discreet classy offering, excellent restaurants and ever attentive staff give it the exact balance between a business persons' hotel and a luxury vacation. Why go to smoke your cigar outside, when La Cava offers you a lounge with an excellent choice of wines and single malts? Em Sherif Cafe offers delightful morsels with a twist of the Levant and an excellent milk pudding. Ypu are steps away from the Galleria Mall for those last minute gifts and other wonderful eats. Unlike its top tier neighbor, which feels like strictly business and a place to be seen, the Rosewood delivers it all in a wuiet, unassuming way. Bravo.

We had only one functional key for all of our stay, which was an enormous hassle. Every time one of us came in without the other person, we would have to go to the front desk and ask to be let in. Also, it was very noisy from 6am onward because they are doing construction nearby. This was disruptive to sleep. Finally, there was a bug in the room on my pillow, which was very concerning. Not what I would expect at a 5-star hotel.

Food was fresh but service was not what I expected from a hotel of this caliber. Each time we went, we had trouble finding a server. Additionally, we could not get coffee within a reasonable time. Each time, we had to wait until we finished not only the buffet food but also the made to order items off the menu before our coffees arrived. Usually we waited quite some time after finishing our food. Everything else about the hotel was excellent - the breakfast was just a let down.

Very chic hotel and attentive check in staff. The restaurant / bars are poor service. I went to the Hidden bar to order food. After 50mins of waiting for my drink and food I left. Room service was great. Breakfast (eggs) were served cold. I couldn’t be bothered to ask for a new order so just left the food. Unlikely I will stay again at the Roseood.

From the moment we arrived, my wife and I were received by well trained and polite staff. The chech-in experience was seemless. We got a room upgrade. It is not my first stay at the Rosewood. I have stayed in both a standard room as well as junior suite. No complaints at all in either case. And the connection to the Galleria Mall allows for great fine dining choices and superb shopping. I will stay there again.

Great city break. Loved how quiet the spa was, I often had it to myself. Staff were very accommodating to all requests. Often nice surprises in the room as we went during the Eid holiday period. Lovely little pastry shop downstairs. Access into the galleria mall and Cleveland clinic. Breakfast selection was great too, healthy options and fruit juice shots freshly made were my favourites and all the usual such as an egg station. I would say the stand out was the service. You always felt like the most important guest there. We are certainly going back.

Nice quiet time at a more corporate Rosewood than some others. Housekeeping was excellent but she of the service at breakfast was really slow taking 20 minutes to bring a drink on numerous days even when it was quiet. Service at the Tai Yum brunch on Sunday was great.

The breakfast could have had more choices and for me the staff at Aqua were not the best.
They forgot to bring me my fruit platter and not that friendly
Julius around the poole area was brilliant and he really made our holiday.
He was super friendly and caring - he even brought us hats and made sure we were good though our stay.

DISGUSTING, TOTALLY UNYGENIC
First room AC completely did not work. That told me later in the day they had to completely change the unit so moved my room. In the second room there was a bin in the bathroom full to the top with used condoms and Condon boxes!!!!
I had to get housekeep to come and completely redo the soon and bathroom. They only offered one night rebate and only after I forced it by speaking to the GM. He claimed no one had told him about the incident.

They didnt acknowledge the VIP and said no free upgrades or breakfast or late check out is included. I complained to management and they said there is a promotion with USD 100 credit which they gave me. Not sure why they didnt honor the VIP as the hotel was not busy.

Had to ask for water in my room 5 times and took 6-8 hours. The next day, was informed there is no running water in my room, and it took over an hour to get them to understand that I needed to take a shower. I used to live at the Rosewood Abu Dhabi Residences and this is just gone downhill.

It is a wonderful hotel with a great lady at the front reception by the name of Clarisse. Very helpful and friendly.
The rest of the staff is very friendly but many not at par with what I would expect from a Rosewood. Some speak poor English. Room service often does not answer the calls. TVs in the room are not smart.

The baby crib was too deep it was hard to place a baby in his sleep. So I had to order extra pillows and blankets to make a comfortable spot for my baby who wasn’t comfortable and kept crying all night. We all ended up not sleeping at all that’s why my experience was very poor

This was a nice property in a \"5 star cookie cutter\" point of view. It's a business hotel. I liked it, though it didnt wow me. It presented all that one would seek on a checklist for a 5 star hotel, except that it lacked...spirit. thats what it was. Great packaging but lacking spirit.

This is one of the Rosewood’s older properties and if you’re familiar with some of their newer properties, you’ll notice. However, you’ll also notice that service and “sense of place” is the same.
The pool deck and it’s bar are excellent.

Hotel is definitely beautiful, but its more dead kind of luxury... from the rooms to the restaurants to the service; there is always something missing a final touch that the management is not.achieving, and I assume its because they just don't know how..
Rosewood basically is a gorgeous concrete dead building that doesn's have a soul, and seems to never had one from the begining...

Restaurants in the hotel are out of this world with great quality and service. Rooms were ok, especially the AC was extremely cold and despite upping the gauge to 25 degrees it was freezing. Bedsheets and bathrobes felt a bit dated, I doubt they were changed since the hotel opened. Overall good, but definitely not worth the prices they charge for a room and what you would expect from a 5 star hotel.

Sleazy man in gym

Hotel Gym allows non hotel guests. Some Lebanese guy pestered me for my number. Telling me tall tales about how he is a banker with adcb etc. I saw him do the same with another woman later in the week. As a woman I really felt unsafe. This is a hotel gym not a pick up bar! Have some respect!!

Love this place!

This is our favorite hotel in Abu Dhabi. The staff are exceptional, the rooms are beautiful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming here. It's wonderful! In addition, the Manor Club staff are exceptional, and the food is really good!

What has happened to this place?

We have a 6mo baby. The schedule of our baby is very strict and we always plan around it. Check-in supposed to be at 3PM. We arrived at 5PM and we are told that room is not ready. We are forced to wait in the lobby for another hour and a half. We get our room at 6.30PM, our baby sleep scheduled ruined and hence the rest of our day. We cannot go out for dinner because baby didn't get his nap, so we decide do room service instead. Bad idea. Order all wrong, they forgot to bring a table, plates, and even cutlery. On top of it they took too long. By the time they got the missing times food was of course cold.
(yes we were charged for it)
I was offered another night at a discount, which I rejected because I don't see why I should give them even more money after such questionable service. They promised their manager will call me next day. Of course it never happened.

Tip to the management:
1) If check in is at 7PM please let me know before I make a booking.
2) If I'm promised I'll be called to rectify the situation, please do.
3) Covid doesn't give you a blank cheque to disregard quality standards.

Stay was ok, but did not feel it was good value for money.
Food was good but highly overpriced.
On the plus side, they gave me late checkout, and as much water as I asked for.
The wagu burger was excellent / without the sauce. And I would like to thank The receptionist , and also Ice from room service, as they were very helpful, and a pleasure to deal with.
