REALLY LOVELY - ALMOST PERFECT!

Really lovely hotel and the service was exceptional. I have to make special mention of Jamaica at check-in who was absolutely lovely. The hotel is in a fantastic area close to so many things and it's a very safe area. My only disliking was the windows could not be opened even in a smoking room! I will definitely be back!

I have stayed with the Tryp hotel many times over the last 2-3 years when visiting Abu Dhabi and have always found this hotel to represent great value for money, a perfect walkable location and well presented.
The staff always provide exceptional service and the recent upgrade of the 1st Floor All-day dining restaurant makes the whole experience even better. The Tryp by Wyndham Abu Dhabi will always be my hotel of choice when visiting the city.

Disability discrimination! Absolutely shocking, awful thing happened to my partner. He was denied access to the top floor lounge by a bouncer and the specific reason given was him being wheelchair user! Disgusting behaviour which should not happen. Management must react!
We stayed at this hotel few times before, staff are friendly and professional, hotel is old but very clean, with a nice view, comfortable beds, mini cosmetics, fridge, safe, daily water top up.

I tried to update my stay but Expedia said the manager never got back to them about my inquiry and I personally did not appreciate the lack of effort they had to try and solve my request. It was an average hotel stay I believe other places for the price I paid for two weeks would’ve been nicer.

What you pay is what you get - and that's not bad.

OK, maybe this is not a luxurious stay - with slightly smelly and outdated interior, noisy bars/clubs on lower and top floors and very poor breakfast. This all is somehow compensated with low price and rather convenient location.

Wonderful stay. Amazing staff, friendly and courteous. Especially Dilshan, Arsalan, Hope and Jenny. Also Amir.
Parking costs AED 30 per day and it is valet parking. The hotel gets busy during weekend nights as there is clubbing and partying at the hotel and other unwanted activities happening in the surrounding areas. Maybe not the best place for families if you know what I mean.

This property was ok. When I booked I didn’t see anything about it having a night club so on a Wednesday night we had to hear loud bass in our room. If you’re not the partying type and you’re coming over relaxation then book somewhere else. On a good note the staff here is really nice and professional.

Room is comfy, staff was friendly. Location is pretty good. It is not very clear where the valet is standing, I had to call 3 times for them to send me the valet and since there is no place to wait in front of the hotel I had to go twice around the block as there were cars behind me. Check in and check out were smooth.

We were assigned a connecting room with total strangers. They were loud and had an alarm go off at 3:50 AM and they let it go for 20 minutes. The windows are thin so the music from the bar and from the street don't allow you to actually rest. I would not stay there again for that reason.

payment at the Rockpool and Thirsty Dragon !

I used to go to this hotel but I will not go again. They had a place where you could have a drink at the Rockpool and it was good to relax. But now when you go there they ask 600 UAD for you to have a table and enter. Many customers are dissatisfied and give up returning to go elsewhere. The bar inside is emptier than before and customers are forced to only go outside around the pool to pay only for their drinks even if it is raining (and it was raining that day). After we tried the Thirsty Dragon on the second floor and there it is worse you have to pay 200 UAD to enter to consume but once inside you have to sit down and a table and they ask you another 150 UAD!!! without clear explanations. I don't know if they have changed manager, but this is no longer a place to go. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. But now he charges 30 UAD for parking and on the site it's free!

Rooms are just OK, nothing outstanding abou them, rather small, decoration is quite simple nothing fancy and the water heating system for the shower is not working, it goes from scalding hot to very cold every 10 seconds and back again, impossible to take a shower.

The property could benefit from a renovation, as the room looked ‘very used’. Also, there is a club on the 17th floor that place loud house/bass music until about 4am (even on weeknights) that can be heard on floors below. The rooms should be soundproofed to not disturb guests with the noise from the club.

I booked a non smoking room but when I checked in only smoking rooms were available. This made for a miserable night of no sleep with allergies. The carpet had burns all over (my wife actually wore flip-flops to prevent stepping on the carpet it was so filthy).

Disappointed in the condition and cleanliness of the rooms. I’ve stayed here several times over the years and each time seems to be worse. The rooms have not been maintained and done are filthy. Completely unacceptable. They did switch my room to a recently updated but still overall cleaning is poor. Seems maybe a management issue of not knowing or caring. Very unhappy.

The front desk staff of Hamid, Kristina and Safa were very hospitable and friendly throughout my time there. Valet staff was also very welcoming and friendly. The only issue a guest may have is the music coming from the club/bar inside the hotel.

The initial room we were given was dirty, soiled carpets, and air conditioning did nor work. We were moved to a new room that was in like new condition in comparison. Not sure why they would still be using the first room anymore. Staff was good but when we went to check out they wanted us to wait until someone checked the room. I refused to wait. Never had that happen at any hotel before.

Comfortable stopover in Abu Dhabi

My first stay here was included as a stopover on an Etihad flight from Sydney to Dublin. I really enjoyed this hotel, so I booked it again for my return journey. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. The hotel is close to The Corniche, has a good pool and breakfast with plenty of choices. The front desk organised tours for me (see pictures).

Great staff, average hotel.

It's an ok hotel but you get what you pay for. Bar upstairs has thousands of working women offering their services so expect to be accosted as you enter or exit the hotel at night. Staff are great, hotel not so much.

The staff were great... only food thing. Room was far from what the pictures displayed. Shower was cracked, broken, and leaking.. had to put a towel next to glass door both days due to amount of water leaking out. Lots of stains on carpets, no iron in bedroom. Would not recommend.
