Although the property looks dated, our stay here was great. Stayed 2 nights - the room was large, clean and comfortable. Our windows looked into the building wall beside us but didn’t impact our positive impression. Breakfast was great, staff and service also great.
Ate dinner one night in the restaurant on the 18th floor - the meal was really tasty and outstanding, and service was too.
Only downfall we could find was the underground parking garage was a sauna and there were no signs to point you to where the lifts were! Please improve this!

Area around the hotel also good; walked to the promenade, restaurants and shops no problem.

An Acceptable Place for a Short Visit

Pros:
*The staff were very friendly and professional throughout my stay.
*My request for a quieter room was honored.
*The breakfast was nice with a good choice of different types/kinds of food.


Cons:
*The hotel room was very dated and furniture should be replaced.
*My door had some sort of issue, so if it was not closed properly (the doorknob had to be pulled very tightly) it would be left open. This happened during my stay by one of the members of housekeeping.

Little gem of a hotel

Amazing little hotel with very friendly staff. Very close to the corniche and lots of shops and restaurants around. Madinat Zayed Mall is within walking distance ie 2 minutes away. Free parking was available. The breakfast buffet was very good also. I highly recommend this hotel and will be back .

When i checked in i was told i will be transferres to a smoking room when it became available...didnt happen until i had to ask again. The room where i was billeted had a broekn fridge..i asked for a bucket of ice i was going to be charged. I was offered a glass of ice free, but that was not enough for my needs at that time..if the fridge wasnt broken in the first place, i would not have asked for the bucket...

Perfect central location in abu dhabi for everything.its literally 15mins by taxi from the beach, abu dhabi mall or the Emirates Palace.
This hotel was opposite a shopping centre that had everything a traveller needs. The hotel was modern, clean and had incredible staff. As a family travelling with a baby, Cristal made sure we were not too high up in the hotel, upgraded us to a suite so the baby had space to play.
Our room was spacious, clean invluded a cot for the baby and had the all the general free extras in hotels. Our additional requests were met immediately and so were requests for a late morning housekeeping.
We opted to include the buffet breakfast with our stay and it was awesome. Best decision with a baby. Lots of variety, hot and cold and unlimited.
Chef Jen was incredible. She made omelettes for guests and made them perfectly seasoned for my 2yr son.
Staff members Joy and Elvis were always ready to get our table and baby seat ready when we arrived. Its these little details that made cristal so worth our stay in aby dhabi.
I would go back again. 1st for its hospitality and 2nd for its location .

The hotel is in an older area next to a local mall with nothing much to offer except a pretty sufficient supermarket.
The hotel venue itself is older and needs a facelift.
There are a few good restaurants and bars in the building.
The swimming pool is too warm and very small.
Staff is friendly and helpful, they upgraded our room to a suite, and stored our luggage for a few days while we travel to Oman.
Will recommend this hotel in general.

Truly the Best place I stayed in Abudhabi

My stay in your hotel was amazing. Joanna and the rest of her team provided an outstanding customer service to me and my relatives whom i havent seen in over 15 years! I would like to give a Bravo Zulu to Cangga who works at the dining or Mezzinine. He was always friendly and ensured we were always being taken care. One of the policies i did not like was the food being taken away because of the closing hour. I think just close the dining facility entrance at 10, but dont take the fiod away. The chef can stop, but the clearing should may be extended to at least 30 mins to an hour more while everyone is still there eating.
I also would like to give a shout out to the lady who opened the pool door and sauna for us to use. Thank you!

Don’t hesitate to book this hotel. It’s fantastic, the employees are ALL friendly, efficient and professional. This hotel is conveniently located close to so many dining options in the city center that are all walkable. The rooms are updated, clean and spacious, there’s even a hotel bar that stays open until 5am! My son and went to Abu Dhabi for father/son trip and visited Ferrari World and Yas Island waterpark. We took taxis that were a quick 20 min ride and there was always a taxi parked outside the hotel ready for us to just hop in! Hats off to the staff and management at this property! When we visit Abu Dhabi again in the future, it’s a no brained, this is our spot!!

A Gem in Downtown Abu Dhabi

Great hotel that is fairly central to most attractions in Abu Dhabi. The Cristal is a boutique hotel that offers relatively spacious rooms with modern amenities. Wifi was generally good, but upload speeds were a bit disappointing - I understand that upload speeds and internet access in general can be challenging in the UAE. Apart from that, the hotel was very good and provided great value for the price paid. Would recommend to others.

Very good location, just behind the Mall. Easy to get to from/to aiport by bus, also loads of buses to move around, as bus stops are 3 minutes away from the hotel.

Tariff variations

I use the Cristal hotel often, in fact for the majority of my stays in Abu Dhabi, it is always clean, nice rooms and is conveniently located and is reasonably priced…. Most times! But as a regular guest I receive no favorable rates when the high demand periods are encountered. Ie ADIPEC where I find the rates extortionate. So there is no reciprocal reward for my patronage during the “lean” periods (Summer)

One night stay in the heart of Abu Dhabi

Great stay. Excellent overall service. Check-in was seamless and quick. Concierge helped to carry my luggage to the vehicle. The room was in superb condition. The hotel is situated near all amenities.

Couple's stay for two nights

We had an excellent hassle-free stay at the Cristal hotel. The staff was friendly all throughout the hotel. I loved the cleanliness of the rooms, WiFi connection and comfy beds. The hotel is located near the MZ Mall and other small restaurants. It was a pleasant stay.

This is my go to hotel when in Abu Dhabi, great service all around. Only gripe was the receptionists with masks on, who seemed slightly awkward.

This place was a nice getaway closely located to shops and eateries which was very convenient. The room was clean and spacious with the only negative being the fridge didn't work. The amenities offered at the hotel were top notch and I will be back for another visit.

A really nice & clean hotel.

Got to hotel early in the morning from the airport. Was charged for half a day since we wanted to check in early & we still had to wait for at least 4-6 hours. Overall the hotel stay was great!

Nice location and close to the Port. Had an overnight stay before boarding a ship. Easy taxi ride from airport to the city. Large indoor Mall across the street. Didn't have time to visit.

Good location. 99% clean.

Only gripe: the room service menu lists many items that are, when you call to order, \"not available.\"
Last night is was beer. I wanted a Foster's, but it was not available. Then (second choice) was a Stella Artois, but also not available. The room service staff is full of very polite apologies, but this is a matter of managerial competence.
