This is a very large hotel . The pool area is a big disappointment. Sun is blocked by buildings and the restaurant and bar completely surrounded
the pool. If you swim there you are very much !on display.
I did not care for the breakfast. Many items but nothing really tased good.
The staff were very nice although housekeeping came around 4 pm every day. Too late for me if returning from a long outing.
Elevators were crowded and slow.
There is a Sheraton and a Meridian hotel next door, I think the better choice.
The restaurant is open to tour busses bringing large crowds for lunch. Lunch buffet no better than breakfast. No à la carte menu.
Check in was very slow and room not ready until exactly 3pm.

I gave my feedback in the other comment. Check-in was very slow. Room condition was really bad. The whole time was worn out for the beverage concepts are lazy. I definitely would not want to stay there again. I tried to check out, but unfortunately, my room had a cancellation policy. Pool is a joke. Everything is worn out an old you feel like you went to back to the 60s.

The check in was really bad to start, room wasn’t ready i had to check if it was 3 times no one called me when the room was ready. The room needed a lot of Maintaince a lot of things where over used. The hotel it self had really poor f&B really worn out the hotel over all is really not well taken care of, dirty in a lot of places, worn out more. The pool is a joke. Public bathrooms where a mess over all i tried to check into an other hotel after the first hour

We were fortunate to have a disabled room so there was plenty of room with great views. On our first day we left to visit Yas Marina F1 Circuit early in the morning and returned after 4pm and our room was still not done. We had to ask twice to have them come to do it. However, when Joyce did come, she was a delightful young woman and a great ambassador for the hotel. That was the only day we had the problem and the room was always spotlessly cleaned.

For two days our room did not have hot water. We requested on four different occasions and were told it was repaired but it was meet fixed . Finally a manager car to our room and also confirmed that no repairs were done and the water was still cold . We were offered to move rooms on the last night at 11pm which was not very convenient and declined the offer

I was told the morning manager would help us out. When I went to the reception desk no manager was available. I waited for one hr then had to catch my cab to leave for Dubai.
I was told a a manger would call me that afternoon but no one did. The next day I called the hotel and spoke to a manager who offered me to come back to the hotel and stay in a suit which was not well received as I had leafy Abu Dhabi and was in Dubai at another hotel.
I was then informed that he would need to speak to a higher level manager and call me back on Monday

It’s now 2pm on Monday and no one had called

The hotel is nice but the service level are poor and management is not customer focused.

From the very beginning my stay at this hotel was way under any international standards. Service was poor in some many areas that it surely reflects on the managing skills of whoever is running the place. The room, though with a great view, had a terribly old given-away mattress, lighting was poor and flickering, tv never worked, closet lights never went off (even when I reported them), and on and on. Terrible standars for a hotel of the Sofitel chain. I recommend staying elsewhere

Showers were mouldy.
Water was cold in the showers.

The food quality was so disappointing in the breakfast.
The lounge is not even worth paying for, only open a few hours a day, children only allowed two hours.

Limited amount of food available.

Definitely not a Sofitel 5* experience.
Would not recommend booking

The property was quite outdated. Overall I was expecting more from Sofitel, with it being 5 stars. The room needs a refurb. There was make up stains on my bathroom wall divider, the carpet was wet near my bedside. One socket was broken and the bidet and toilet roll holder was loose (ready to fall off). Very disappointed there wasn’t a coffee machine as this is basic in the Middle East. The lighting was very dim throughout the room and bathroom. The valet team were quite poor and on one occasion they handed me the keys to drive out from the parking lot!

A relaxing and enjoyable stay in Abu Dhabi.

Enjoyable extended stay. Was due to stay 3 nights but because of flight cancellation I stayed 6. The hotel was ideally located on the Corniche (lovely walks). 10 mins from the Central bus station by taxi with links to the airport and Dubai. Plenty of restaurants and shops around. 30 mins walk to the Dubai Mall. The hotel is well decorated and maintained. All of the staff I encountered were friendly, courteous and professional. I ate breakfast in the hotel and it was very good with a wide selection of options. I also ate in the Chilli’s restaurant and the food was excellent. Definitely recommended. I used the swimming pool and gym each day and both were very good. I would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Abu Dhabi. Thank you.

There wasn’t any view , Bcz whole window was blurry,I booked the room for sea view ,the whole time wasn’t any view ,can’t sleep all night Air conditioned wasn’t not working properly,The ac filter wasn’t clean ,they couldn’t figure out what was the wrong with Air conditioning,after 13 hours of staying,the mechanic came fixed ,it was to late to diagnose it.I want my money back .

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at this wonderful accommodation. It is situated in a good location. The amenities are top notch and all staff were excellent. Our minor recommendations would be to add lighting on the inside of the wardrobes and shelving area and brighter lighting in the hallway outside of the bathroom.

I did not enjoy my stay at this property. I expected a lot better quality of stay at a Sofitel. I was moved to three different rooms during my stay because the beds were so bad. I took pictures and videos of the mattresses and filed a formal complaint. The amenities are nice but the rooms are outdated, poor quality, and terrible beds.

Extended Business Stay

Stayed at Sofitel Corniche for 10 days and then a further 4 days after a quick trip to Riyadh. The room for the first stay was on the 23rd floor, facing the sea and was spacious and well fit out. The room on the 10th floor for the 2nd stay (4 days) was smaller and had broken fridge but otherwise similar. Both rooms has extensive facilities (bath, shower, toilet, wardrobe and cupboard space, jug, etc The bed was very comfortable in both rooms. There are a variety of cafes and restaurants in the building and I think I tried all of them at various times. Breakfast on the Ground florr had an enormous selection catering for all types of diet. The Thai Restaurant was very good as was the poolside bar and food. If I go back to Abu Dhabi I would definitely stay here.

Large and spacious room and bathroom. Located close to the corniche, if you can handle the heat, I walked to Abu Dhabi beach every morning (30 mins).
The pool is nice, but be mindful it doesn’t have any sun - which can be great if you know the UAE heat. But some areas would be nice.
There are shuttles that will take you to Corniche Beach, The Louvre and Yas Island.
Overall, a nice stay.

We loved this hotel. It was in a terrific location. An easy walk to local restaurants and downtown. The board walk was across the street. It was about an hour walk to the pay beach. However there was a free shuttle from hotel we would take one of the ways to cut down walking time. The staff were friendly and helpful. We booked 2 tours (desert and Dubai) which were great and no issues. The jazz bar was amazing service, drinks and view. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Room was clean but dated. There was a strange light in the closet that we couldn't figure out how to turn off. Room cleaning varied. Some days it was terrific while other days they didnt restock the right number of towels and things. Absolutely recommend if staying in Abudhabi. Would stay again.

Excellent hotel in a great location, Super rooms, Complementary bus service every day to the beach, Great customer service by friendly staff and management, Nothing is too much trouble, Fantastic atmosphere and ambiance about the place. Great two swimming pools, Great to sit next to the pool in the evening for food and drinks from the restaurant, One Swimming pool is a hidden gem which is not obvious to find but great spot. Cocktail bar at the top is great with music and great views of the city. I would definitely go back and stay here again. We normally go to Dubai every year and stay at Sofitel on the Palm.

Housekeeping can be erratic

Ive always wanted to stay in the Sofitel and finally got my wish in Abu Dhabi. Its easy to find as its huge. Close to the Corniche.

The room is big and spacious and i liked the sliding doors to the bathroom and the fact that you can ipen them out. A big tub plus all the soap, shampoo, moisturiser on tap.

Lots of different teas were available along with filtered water and a kettle.

I didnt eat breakfast downstairs as it was pricey. I wanted to use the pool but it closed at 4pm.

When i came back from my day out in Abu Dhabi, i saw a note from the cleaners saying they've not cleaned my room as there \"was a do not disturb message\". God knows why they think that as i didnt see any sign. As a result, there wasnt any filtered water and ive run out of tea/milk. So i went down to reception who send a guy to bring me supllies. There wasnt any point having the bed, etc tidied up but it did annoy me - as if they were too lazy to clean it up. I did see other notes left on the doorstep of other rooms so it clearly wasnt just me.

On the whole, its a relaxing place to stay and luxurious at a reasonable price.

I always preferred to stay At sofital as its close to many attractions, and surrounded with all services and i feel comfortable in it, yet its a time to renovate the whole interior!t
The structure of the hotel and rooms layout plus the views are great, but it needs to consider loyal customers who do stay regularly and to raise their expectations.

This is my second time staying here for two weeks and it’s always a lovely experience. I arrived at 8am on the day of my check in and they immediately had a room ready for me, which was greatly appreciated at 15 hours of travel.
They’ve made some upgrades since 2023 and the room is even more comfortable, especially the bed. I spent so much time by the pool restaurant and really enjoyed my time. The included breakfast is delicious and full of variety. I cannot wait to return.

The position is good, but unfortunately the big pool gets no sun all day. Guests can thankfully use a sunny pool at the Residences, which seems to infuriate residents so we witnessed a few irate conversations.
The lounge is wonderful and we were so well looked after by Andrew and Richard at afternoon tea and cocktails.
The All Day dining was excellent too. Breakfast was fabulous and the staff was helpful and efficient. Best danish ever!!We had the buffet every night and it also was good. I noticed dishes were constantly being refilled even late on. There was a wide variety of dishes, all very well presented We had a Prestige suite. It’s somewhat dark and badly designed. It’s impossible to find things in the wardrobe without a torch. The bathrooms are dark with insufficient lighting. Also the toiletries were positioned at the foot of the bath…so when bathing it took acrobatics to reach them. The two toilet floors were very spotted and stained….rather offputting.
The turndown service is a joke… only not funny. If you advertise a service….supply it. We never knew what would greet us…curtains not pulled…no turndown mats or just 1 for 2 people…a pile of damp towels placed on bath but not replaced. We pointed this and other shortcomings to manager Sabine. Nothing improved…discarded tissues under bathroom counter were not cleared in the 6 days despite being pointed out twice. Sabine never got back to us. Suffice it to say we would not return thanks to her indifference.

Definitely not a five star hotel. The whole hotel needs renovation. The rooms are old, worn out, and stained. Extremely disappointed with the conditions of the rooms. Carpet and furniture extremely stained, old, worn out. The duvet insert is dirty and gross. Housekeeping does a bad job of cleaning. Amenities not five star quality. Mattress lower quality than should be. AC is horrible-very old system so loud and still have humidity in room w the AC working. Check in took 40 minutes even though i prebooked and prepaid for my suite.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at

A clean and comfortable hotel with staff who know customer service like no other, nothing is too much trouble for them. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.
The rooms are beautiful with incredible water views and the breakfast buffet is absolutely delicious. There is a free shuttle to a pristine beach, just beautiful. My stay was wonderful and I will definitely stay here the next time I’m passing through on my way through to Europe.
