The gentleman running the desk was good, assisted trying to make our stay better. Out of 4 days in the Honeymoon Suite the hot tub worked only a single day, very disappointing since this is one of the main reasons I booked the place for my wife and I. The bed was terrible, felt like you were sleeping on springs!! There is also no place to store your clothing unless you plan on using the second bedroom to layout all your clothing on the beds which is what we had to do. There was a total of 3 hangers in the place to hang clothing. The parking lots are horrible, the closest holds only around 15 cars and is always full. That left us parking in their secondary lot which is approx a 10 min walk from the hotel. Be prepared for lots of stairs and climbing to get to your place. The desk will offer porter services, take them!! The view is beautiful, the restaurants in the village are excellent authentic food.

Great place!! Lots of steps and thankful hotel staff met us to help with luggage. Area is very quiet and only 20min walk to Oia (pronunced \"Eee yah) . Hot tub was nice. Just note that taxi around Santorini is so expensive!! So if you want to be moving around the island, add that to your budget. Breakfast was awesome delivered to door/porxh.

The suites here are spacious and lovely. The breakfast delivered to your room was tasty and very generous. Most of all, Harris, the manager was terrific. When our rental car got stuck on a dirt road (which we never should have driven on), he facilitated getting us pulled out and didn't even embarrass us. Great place.

So let me start off by saying that I hate leaving negative reviews, I don't want to be the source of someone losing income but our experience here started off bad and just kept getting worse. We came here with another couple and we both have a 3 year old. We booked this because it showed that they were giving us a 2 bedroom suite with a sofa bed. Instead we got 1 bedroom with 4 single beds, cherry on top the double bed frame broke, all to share between 6 people. When we voiced our concerns the person that was sent to meet us basically ran away from here. We asked to be changed to the room we initially asked for and they said it's completely booked up and there's nothing we can do. In fact management hasn't even come here to talk to us. The jetted tub has a bunch of dead bugs in it. There's literally a line of bugs going from the outside through our private sitting area and there were stains on the bedding. Their pictures online are deceiving, communication is non existent after receiving the keys we were told that management wouldn't be available for 2 hours. So we basically just sat around waiting for a response. Now we're stuck here for the next 2 days avoiding sitting outside where we wanted our toddlers to play. I've never been so disappointed by accommodations that I've spent $1200 on for 2 nights. Online it shows they have bookings available for half the price we paid. But they're not able to do anything about it till the following day so we just have to make do.

My husband and I stayed in the Honeymoon suite with the outdoor private jetted tub. Fava eco suites is located in Finnikia- It was the perfect location to stay! It is nice and quiet, with a couple of restaurants nearby (not many), but only a 10 minute or less walk to the more busy/touristy town of Oia. The bus stop is about a 5-10 minute walk as well. We bussed to Fira a couple of the days we were there- super easy to figure out transportation and the buses are very cheap (about 2 euros). It said welcome gift upon arrival, but we didn't get anything- which was fine! The place was very clean and it had 2 outdoor patio areas. One with the jetted tub and one upstairs with an AMAZING VIEW on the balcony. Breakfast was brought to your room every morning. Air conditioning worked well. The cold tub was super nice to cool off in since we were there in June. Overall we had a wonderful experience! I highly recommend it!

We were very very disappointed as the room that hotel offered was completely different from the one we have booked. There was no view at all and the number of beds in the room were also different. We tried to liaise with the hotel, they only said it was the one we have booked and they rejected to change and no compensation to us. They just keep saying that was the room type that we have booked. Will never book it in future and will not recommend to all my friends.

The property location is 20 min walk from Oia center. The property is located in a very quiet area. It is on the hill so be prepared for steps and unpaved roads. The hospitality was the best. The staff is very generous and respond quickly if you need anything. They also carry luggage from the main road from the bus station if you call them. They come and pick your luggage with a hand cart. Kudos to the staff. They are very helpful in any manner. The good thing is it’s very close to Oia main center. I would definitely recommend who wants to stay close to Oia with affordable price.

Eco Fava is a hidden gem. Its located in the small and quiet village of Finikia just a short walk away from Oia which is perfect for people wanting to stay outside, but still relatively close to, the tourist centres. The experience is unique and highly personalized – the terrace is beautiful, each room is one of a kind and a wonderful breakfast is personally delivered to you at the time of your choosing. Thomas and his staff were beyond kind and helpful: we had our (rather heavy) suitcases brought through the village both when we checked in and out, the room was immaculately cleaned every afternoon and the breakfast was spectacular and varied. The only slight issue was that the wifi did not reach fully into the traditional cave room we had, although Im not sure if this is the case for every room and we did not ultimately mind since it was accessible in the terrace area. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special travel experience!

This was a wonderful stay in Santorini away from the crowds but in walking distance to Oia. The village is quiet with several very nice restaurants. We stayed in the Maestro apartment which was lovely and roomy. WiFi was weak. They brought us a simple breakfast including coffee for the coffee maker in the apartment every morning which was nice. The location was convenient to local bus stop and tour bus stops. The steps and walkways are a bit tricky so bring good walking shoes. We did the volcano hot springs boat tour which was fun. We also took the tour of Akrotiri Black Beach and winery. Good tour if you want to learn about the island. Try the local dishes including fava, tomato fritters and stuff tomato and peppers!!

We did not realize how isolated this facility was and that it was rather lacking in amenities. We needed to cut it one day since the walk from the nearest car access was long and hard on my recently broken foot. However, the view from the deck was gorgeous and the nearby restaurant, MesaMesa had wonderful salads.

The location is great as it is just 10 mins walk from Oia. Also locally there are some nice restaurants. Breakfast was good but it could be better for the price of the room. Finally the hotel doesn’t have any car parking.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Fava Eco Residences. We were in the Maestro suite, and it was gorgeous. The unit was so unique, with large rooms, lovely showers, and very comfortable beds. Suitcases were delivered to our door and wisked away whenever we asked; an organic and very thoughtful breakfast was delivered to our door in the morning; and Thomas was a super sweet guy who was willing to help in any way possible. The property is environmentally aware and very conscious of its location and history in the town of Finikia. Our night at the Fava has been the highlight of our trip to Greece. Thank you!

Everything was perfect, from the check in until the check out. The staff was waiting for us at Finikia parking lot, they carried our luggage and welcome us with fresh orange juice.
The appartment was big and had a great view from the terrace. The breakfast was very good with a variety of materials: bacon with sausages and eggs, milk, coffee, yogurt, orange juice small sciles of bread, honey, butter and a fresh fruit. They also carried our luggage until the parking lot when we left. The appartement was clean and comfortable.

Dont get carried away by looking at their beautiful pictures. They are pretty but also be prepared about your morning may get ruined. Even thought I saw few reviews about their bad service and front desk, I still did book this place only because of this pictures. I was there for only 2 days, and as soon as I called the front desk from my international number (yes, no phone facility), I said we were waiting for the breakfast, as the scheduled time last. Thomas, property manager, literally yelled at me and when I asked why are you behaving like this, he goes he is mad because something might have happened with him just before I called him. Seriously?!!!! Many other small nagative and some positive things too, but to me, if i stay at decent places and pay more, first thing I expect is good service. This hotel is expansive and staff is not at all friendly. Wished I had trusted the other reviews. PLEASE STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. not the best view anyways. Oia is big and main area is about 30 min walk from this hotel.

The apartment was clean and modern. Getting breakfast in the morning was so nice! The food was tasty and filling. They provided a full meal (could serve as 2 meals). The AC was strong, which was nice. The kitchen was small, but we did not do any cooking inside. The location is hidden away, so we really had to search around for a long time before we could find it. The views from the property were beautiful! Overall, this was an excellent place.

We stayed in the Helios room for a week and it was lovely. The staff are really friendly and helpful which made the stay even better. The room is cleaned every day and the breakfast delivered to your room.

A warning though it isn’t accessible by vehicle and it is quite a walk. However, it was a nice walk and the staff help with your cases to and from the room, which makes it a lot easier.

I definitely recommend staying here, it’s great value for money and especially for being only a short walk to Oia

I give Fava a 3.5 out of 4. The location is a plus it is a 15 minute walk into Oia. I also enjoy how it is in a traditional settlement. The view from the aloni suite was very nice. It wasn’t of the caldera but it was still a very beautiful view to wake up to in the morning. Thomas the receptionist is very polite and will answer to any of your needs and that is very important to me. Great customer service. They also woke up to carry my bags to the taxi at 2 am and 4 am. They provide excellent service.

The cons were the space of the aloni suite, however, I knew that going into it. The only really negative thing for me was the hot tub did not work and that was one of the reasons I booked the place. We knew at night in Santorini it can get cool so we figured a hot tub would be nice.

The absolute best view of the most amazing sunset in the world is from your balcony.
Everything from check in to check out was amazing at Fava Eco. The hotel manager, Thomas, was the nicest, most accommodating host. He was happy to make sure we were very comfortable and that there wasn't anything we were in need of. He embodied the true spirit of Greece and Santorini.
The residences are in the perfect location to walk into Oia, where there is a ton of shopping and dining options, not to mention gorgeous views.
We would highly recommend taking part in a catamaran excursion and enjoying the islands from the sea. Excellent dining options are right in Finikia, just a few minutes walking distance from your room.
We also suggest utilizing the public bus system on the island. The black and red beaches are must sees, and the bus will get you there for a fraction of the price of a taxi for little hassle. The busses are clean and air conditioned.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is interested in submerging themselves in the life of the island for a genuine experience and vacation!

Ok to book if there is promotion

Location is out of the way not in the best part of Oia. If you are looking for a hotel with a view this is not for you.

Mattress needed a topper and queen size is small for two person. Our potamas villas has two stories. The stairs lead to second floor is squeezy and small. For a price of 80sgd during off peak for a reasonable size cave house with breakfast is reasonable for me. I cant get something bettef for this price else where is other parts of Santorini.

Carpark is about 5-7 mins away. Take note of the way back to your room. We lost our way on e first night and went around searching for almost an hour. No signs of the villa name outside of each villa. Reception is not 24 hrs. We asked the nearby restaurant for help and they contacted the receptionist. They were very helpful and loving people.

You need to drive to book this hotel. If you can find a good deal like me and doesnt matter too much about the view because you will be switching hotel to another one later with better view. You can book Fava. The receptionist to butler were all very friendly and nice people.

Loved the neighborhood the hotel is in. It is in a traditional greek village. The rooms have a cave-dwelling feeling, which is a cool experience. The front desk staff is attentive to details. They booked us a cab for our pick up and drop to the port. They also packed us an early breakfast since our ferry was leaving early. Great. Highly recommended.

Staying at Fava Eco was a honeymoon dream. The staff were helpful, professional, accommodating, and wonderful to communicate with. Our room was so comfortable and the jetted tub on our private terrace Sublime. The mattress was the most comfortable we slept on since leaving home 10 days prior. The location in Finiaki is great, you get the feel and coziness of a village with much fewer tourists around but you are only a 15 minute walk from Oia. Highly recommend! P.s. Eat at Lefkis in the village if you get a chance. Do the Caldera hike.

There is only one manager and he has to do everything and you can never find him. When you arrive you have to wait 30 minutes to 1 hour for him to meet you in the parking lot to find the hotel. You can't drive to the hotel. We waited half an hour and decided to try to find it ourselves and carried two luggage up the mountain in the 30 degree weather. The view of the water is partial from any room you get. This hotel is not what you see in the pictures. It is not your typical off the coast of the mountain you in see in pictures. The rooms are very nice and authentic and clean.The manager Thomas is a very nice guy but he is one person who has to do everything so he's hard to find. It is about a 15 minute walk to downtown oia where everything is... it is a lot of walking up and down hill.

Great location Beautiful Residence

Wonderful experience for us! It's so pretty. You can watch the sunset at the residence. The walking path from the parking lot leads to the residence is winding with Santorini's famous little white houses. Thomas, the property manager, after knowing we hadn't booked any car, told us we needed car to go around the island which was definitely true. He helped us booked a car and also a day cruise.

Walking to your actual hotel is a workout

The feel of being in Santorini is in the room (the look, breakfast) but if you have a lot of luggages and even just one, bad knees...please find another place to stay in. It's a workout getting to your room. Good thing is bus stop is right there when you get to the street. No hot water. Thomas was awesome and very helpful and the other guys for helping us with our luggages

Although the room was small, the porch with the jetted tub overlooking the Santorini sunset was amazing!!! The location was just off the beaten path from Oia, so we missed the crowds around our spot which was nice. We were close enough to walk or drive our ATV into Oia/Amundi Bay for dinner and shopping.

Like staying at a friend's house just outside town

We loved it here! Although we didn't realize this at the time, we had actually booked an entire apartment (Potamos), which slept 6 in a bedroom and separate living space and had a kitchenette. It was lovely (though no pool or hot tub). Contrary to many reviews, the Fava Eco office was actually very easy to find using google maps, though there are many twisty and unevenly stepped small paths in Finikia (so easy to get lost without love GPS mapping). Also, it's an easy 10 minute walk into Oia, and we appreciated enjoying our peaceful evenings without lots of other tourists around. Mr. Thomas was super helpful and friendly, and the breakfast exceeded all our expectations! No cold croissants and toast here! No, breakfast here is a basketful of local goodies, complete with eggs for you to cook in the kitchenette and ground coffee for the in-unit coffee makers! The local cheese and bread and olive oil are SO GOOD! And if you stay here, save at least one night for the oldest restaurant in town - Meze Meze. The food was amazing but the service was even better - like having dinner in someone's (gourmet) home.

We booked 4 nights at this hotel and was not able to check in until 2 days later due to an unexpected transportation strike in Greece. I was told by Expedia that I would receive a credit for the two nights that we missed however once we arrived at the hotel, we were told otherwise by the Owner/ Property Manager. I am extremely disappointed in their unwillingness to credit our stay and the Owner's readiness to benefit from our misfortune. Additionally, the property and hotel rooms were not as pictured. We stayed in the Aloni \"house\" which was actually just a small closet sized room. The bed linens and towels were of low quality, similar to what you would find in a hostel or budget motel. Oddly, the mattress felt wet which made our stay that much more uncomfortable. Also, the toilet had a bad smell coming from it, there were no phones in the room to make local phone calls, no closet to hang our clothes and a safe with no instructions. Breakfast was less than spectacular, a block of hard cheese, rotten apples, 2 eggs, and 2 bread rolls is hardly a meal. We also paid extra for a room with a hot tub but couldn't use the hot tub because it didn't work. After mentioning this to the concierge, we were told that it takes 2 hours to heat up. Unbelievable! First of all, we're not psychic and second, do they really expect their guests to wait 2 hours for a hot tub to heat up? This was by far, the worst experience I've ever had.

Nice place, shame about the access

Through room was nice as was the daily breakfast included in the package. Staff were helpful although you do need a mobile and smart phone data access to communicate with them. Only real gripe is the fact that there is no parking and you have to walk 400m to get there. Oh, and over cobbled footpaths and uphill so if you have lots of luggage, be ready to get sweaty.

Excellent sea view with bad location of hotel

The hotel location is little bit awkard because it is not close enough from the city or bus stoppages. But on the other hand it has excellent sea view which will mesmerize everytime you look at. Just awesome experience it was for me. Only from few rooms you can enjoy the view. As a 4 star hotel we were expecting all the facilities but disappointed a little bit. Because they did not provide materials like shower toiletries and breakfast is not pleasing enough if you think about high class services from a 4 star hotels.

Bad location with decent Reno room

I was shocked and disappointed while being lead to our room. Altho I read the address as Finikia Village, I didn't expect it to be REALLY a close-to deserted area as its at least 5-10mins from the nearest drop off point to our room (provided you recall the maze-like way to walk into your unit). Each time we spent 15minutes HIKING to/back from the nearest car-could-reach point and sometimes we lost our way and hiked up to the main road although it wasn't where we wanted to go but who cares as Long as we could reach out to the main road.
It's 30-40minutes walk to Oia from your room, n must note that this ain't normal flat road walking, it's walking up to hill and down slope. Spare at least 1.5 hours to/fro Oia by walking and be prepared it's not an easy one. The room was generally clean and well maintained, Mrs Eri was friendly. Perfect for a local experience and space

We had a great 4 night stay in Aeloes Suite, the one with a separate single room for my daughter. She likes it very much. We enjoyed the beautifully decorated suite and the peaceful neighbourhood. The staff was nice and helpful no matter pre-trip planning and during our stay. A very comfortable stay with the paid transfer which worths the price. Recommended for those who wants tranquility while having a walking distance to Oia.

Great hotel and the owner goes out of his way to accomadate everyone's needs and communicates well before and during the stay.
Small and simple but VERY beautiful and quiet but close enough to the center in Oia.

Flintstones meets luxury

Such a beautiful and comfortable space!! Very clean and modern inside, perfect amount of space. You have a living area, a kitchen, a bedroom area, and a patio. Everything you need! The staff is great and the breakfast you get every morning is so cute in a basket. Love my experience!

Serene and rejuvenating

Fava Eco is a lovely restful place. It is very clean and modern. The beds are very comfortable. It is away from the noise, traffic and bustle of Oia [but within 10 minutes walk]. There are two good restaurants close by. The breakfast provided at Fava Eco is very good and the staff are friendly. We found it very peaceful and would highly recommend it.

Clean residence, but difficult location

Cleaniness -the room was very clean, more than I expected, and all amenities were clean and useful. Resource - the person in charge was super nice and resourceful. I loved the breakfast basket with traditional Greek bread and fruits! Location - The view is also amazing. The only thing is that the residence is a 5-6 minutes walk from the parking lot, and every time we had to walk all the way, with pretty high steps. And it has more of a village plus sea view, looking at the sea from very afar, while hotels in the Oia area is looking right down the aegean sea. If location is not a issue, this is a very comfortable and quiet neighborhood where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of Santorini.

Nice place away from the crowds..

Fava is a beautiful place to stay, nice cave-like bedroom, distant sea view, nice porch etc. The hosts are fabulous with them trying to do everything to make your stay comfortable. However before you make your decision to stay here, couple of points to consider:
1) accessibility - to reach this place you have to trek up some 400 meters steep uphill Everytime. it seems charming at the beginning but trust me you don't want to be drunk and walking up those stones.
2) when I am staying in a hotel I expect housekeeping to happen everyday. In Fava it happens on alternate days.not cool
3) breakfast - it's kind of a DIY breakfast basket you get every morning.when I am on holiday I don't want to cook! Not cool and there is not option nearby for a quick bite
4) it's close but not as close to Oia. But anyway I preferred Fira much more than the very commercial and touristy Oia. Stay in Fira, overlooking the sea.

You can stay here, but check out other options as well.

Fava feels like home!

The overall experience was just excellent. Very friendly staff, Antonis was very accommodating arranging everything prior to our arrival. The house was spacious, spotless clean and with a fantastic sea and sunset view! The calmness of the area is such that we prefered relaxing and enjoying the true bliss of our little private heaven compared to the breathtaking though busty Oia center which is within walking distance.
Highly recommend Fava Eco Residences to all those who want to have a true Greek hospitality atmosphere.

Comfortable stay but...

We had a comfortable stay for 2 nights. This property is in Finikia, which is a 10-15 minute walk to Oia. However, like most properties in Finikia, it is not easily accessible from the main road and is difficult to climb up and find the right way to go, especially at night. The AC didn't work great either, which we really needed in the Santorini heat. However the hosts were incredibly helpful and the breakfast was delicious

Beautiful peaceful location but unclean and understaffed

Fava Eco is in a beautiful location that feels refreshingly remote in contrast to the overcrowded, touristy, Oia nearby. I was very happy with the location and the beautiful scenery in the Finikia village where our apartments were. The host is lovely and makes you feel at home, but Favo Eco is grossly understaffed so cleanliness seemed to be an issue. There is only one woman doing all the work to run 5 different apartments and it's impossible for all the apartments to be clean with the quick turnover of the rentals. We stayed in two different apartments. The first one had another guests hair around the bed and the bathroom sink was full with beans or another thick substance was clogging the drain. Our host was quick to clean the mess but overall the place looked as if it was just lightly cleaned, not squeaky clean the way a hotel should be. The second apartment was cleaner, but when I went to use the dishes it was a struggle to find one clean dish. They all looked liked they'd been used and then lightly rinsed with food residue remaining on the dishes. I've rented many apartments on other sites and never had issues with cleanliness. This was one very disappointing aspect of our stay. When we we checked out we saw that another couple would be coming right after we left which made me wonder how much time is actually spent cleaning the apartments before another couple comes.

Spaceous villa with nice views towards ocean. Away from the hustle and bustle of Oia, but it's only a short walk away. Right near a traditional Greek restaurant called Katinas with amazing food. We thought Oia was the most beautiful town on the island (although more expensive than Fira)

Great Apartment Option neat Oia

We truly enjoyed staying here. The place was very clean, a great size and had good air conditioning and wifi. It was definitely a great value for the cost compared to others in the area. It's a bit of a hike into the Village to get to the place - but as long as you are ok with a few hills it's not an issue. It's about a 15 minute walk to Oia but considering the cost to stay in the heart of Oia, this is a fantastic value and option. It was nice to also have a small kitchen - should your stay be a few days or longer.

The host was helpful, arranging air port transfers for us both to and from as well as a boat tour. He also offered to make restaurant reservations.

Access was easy and safe.

The place is very nice and very clean! The place looks exactly the same as in the pictures online.
