This is a beautiful resort and the staff is attentive. However, it is a 20 minute walk into the shops of. OIA. This is next to impossible during the day as it is extremely hot shuttles are $25 for a five minute ride. I feel this should be offered to the guest free of charge. Other than that it’s a beautiful resort.

Lovely property. Staff tried very hard to ensure that all wishes were attended to.
The hotel restaurant was very expensive on par with a Michelin Chef, which I do not believe was the case.
The hotel spa was also overpriced on a ‘world standard’. With labour costs being so low and the facilities being limited the pricing was incorrect (from my experience at many other hotels). The pricing of the spa treatments should be reflective of ‘the offer and quality’
Tourist numbers were down across the island as many restaurants have raised their prices into the stratosphere without food being anything other than ‘average’.

The Katikies property is a beautiful one, although still under a lot of construction. We did get a room upgrade but had issues with our room including jacuzzi heater not working the first 2 nights and refrigerator not working the first 2 and a half. Our wine was hot the entire trip bc of it. While views were breathtaking, we didn’t experience the best service for a 5 star hotel. Had to repeat our breakfast, dinner and drink orders 2-3 times and this is not a joke. Some of the items we ordered didn’t even come out at times. Drinks would come 15-20 mins after we ordered and one even came out with a hair and we had to send it back. While it is off season, we just expected for it to be a bit secluded and in turn we could get better service but that was contrary to what happened. Even the 2-3 times we went to the front desk, we were told to wait on them even though there were 4-5 staff members in the room. Not sure if only 1-2 could answer the questions but it wasn’t very organized or professional.

Excellent service and very pleasant staff. Views are beautiful. Room was very clean and pretty. My family has celiac disease and the hotel went above and beyond to serve us gluten free breakfast and find us gluten free restaurants to eat at. Will return!

Amazing and beautiful stay

We loved our stay at Kirini! The room, location, and breakfast are all amazing. The only negative I would have to say is that they do not provide any shuttle service to the airport or ports if you do not rent a car like many of the other hotels. Otherwise this place is perfect!

Best coffee and that view!

The hotel staff were fantastic! The food was also fantastic! Couldn’t get enough of their coffee. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. My only compliant would be they would reuse the pool towels. Obviously if you asked for new ones they would provide them. I would stay here again. Loved it.

It’s hard to beat the location and setup of this hotel. The staff and management will go out of their way to make your stay at the hotel and on the island enjoyable. They are very knowledgable about the best local restaurants and things to do all over the island. Whether or not you have an idea of what you want to do on Santorini, ask the staff for their suggestions, you will learn something new. They offered us a complementary cell phone to use while traveling around the island in case we had any questions or needed recommendations once we were out and about.

The buffet breakfast at the hotel has a variety of choices from healthy to pastries. Everything was creatively done. Some of the items missed their mark, but there are enough choices that you’ll find plenty that you enjoy. Along with the buffet, fresh cooked eggs are available to order a-la-cart (included with breakfast).

We took advantage of their indoor “cave” pool, which you can reserve for 30 minutes at a time. The water is warm and the “cave” is a meditative space. Highly recommended.

The hotel is located along a walking path and is a 5-10 minute walk from the shops and restaurants of Oia and about 15 minutes from the sunset point/end of the island.

I will come back to this hotel.

Just shocked Santorini has a lot of stairs but finally it is like in heaven on earth😃. This hotel is located in the centre of nice scenery. When we look at left side there is the mountain..... facing on front of you there is the infinity sea....right side scene there is the white hotels on the clif....nice view while you are taking tasteful breakfast/lunch or dinner. People here from the top management and staffs are friendly and helpful.

Perfect Getaway!!

This hotel was 5 stars. The service was excellent. The views from our room balcony was spectacular. We had our own private pool. The breakfast buffet was delicious. They made their own home made pastries and had many dishes you could choose from. You could also order off the menu. Location of hotel was perfect. Very close to Oia town. Very quiet and romantic place. Beautiful pool and spa. Great bar and restaurant.

Absolutely beautiful hotel on the cliffs of Oia

We visited late September and had a wonderful time. The hotel is a short 10 min. walk from the centre of Oia, which separates it it from the day visit tourists coming off the cruise ships, which we thought was very good.
Beautifully fitted out white cave type rooms and a beautiful pool surrounded by the restaurant and day beds all overlooking the caldera.

We expected much more from this hotel in terms of service and location, particularly considering the price of this hotel when compared to other hotels we have stayed at on Santorini. Overall our stay was still okay. The room was nice, there was still a beautiful view and breakfast was good once we could get service.

Beautiful hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, great location close to the main village of oia. Lovely amenities and very peaceful. The only criticism I would have is there are a lot of stairs which are quite narrow, so anyone not feeling great or with knee problems may struggle.

Absolutely Amazing!

The hotel is amazing! The views are great, the staff are amazing and the breakfast served is also deliciously fresh with a variety of food to suit all taste buds!!
The restaurant is also great and the chef is just amazing.. all around AMAZING!
We would recommend staying at this hotel anytime!
The only negative is if you want to work out, you will need to reserve the gym in advance and lock in a time, if it's available, as it is small and the equipment is not the greatest.. but why would you want to work out when you should be in Santorini relaxing by the pool sipping on a drink!!

The hotel is probably one of the best in the Oía bay of Santorini but even though the hotel is in mint condition you are always going to leave with the felling of that you didn't get for what you paid. Small rooms, no closet space, no drawers to organize your clothes, bathroom has no privacy, mini bar overpriced (coffe pods at €3.00) and overall everything in the hotel is in my opinion overpriced

Fabulous hotel

Amazing service. Gorgeous hotel, comfortable rooms, yummy breakfasts. Only thing I wish for is a hot tub by the pool, but it Durant like like any of the hotels on the island have this! Seems to be a common European thing. I can't complain about a thing though...absolutely perfect stay, and some of the best service I've ever had. Thank you Kirini!

i loved this hotel, the staff were fantastic and couldnt do enough to help. great location, short walk to oia, and fab food. my only negative, was that a child was there, when the hotel said strictly no children under age of 13. it was one of the reasons i chose it. not a biggie, but wanted a quiet retreat to unwind. lucky that he was well behaved otherwise, i would had an issue to be honest.

Everything you would expect from Relais & Châteaux

It took me a while to decide on the hotel which would suit me the best on Santorini as there are so many hotels with good reviews. In the end, I am very glad I chose Kirini, as it was fantastic. I had only one week-end so I needed a hotel which would be practical and well located, but still serene and peaceful. This hotel is a very pleasant 10 minute walk from the town centre of Oia, which is one of the must-see towns on Santorini. Here you can see and photograph the famous Blue Domes of the churches with the view on the Caldera (ask the Kirini concierge about the best spots for photos) and it is also ideal for sunsets. There are quite a few good restaurants in town as well.
The scenery at the hotel is beautiful with the rooms carved into the rocks and elegantly appointed. My suite had 2 jacuzzis, one indoor and one outdoor, which was very pleasant. The view from my terrase was amazing.
The hotel breakfast was included in my expedia rate and was very good. I loved the eggs benedict !
Above all, the best asset of this hotel is its staff. I was welcomed by no less than 5 staff members upon arrival at the hotel. Throughout my stay they were courteous and eager to please.

Stunning hotel only surpassed by its personnel

My husband, daughter and I spent 4 days at the Kirini Suites and Spa. The stay was perfect. From John, the concierge, to Athena and the other housekeepers, to the waiters and the bartenders, everyone was happy, engaged and extremely helpful.

Best Resort in Santorini

AMAZING experience from start to finish. The location was perfect (walking distance to Oia city center but not right on the beaten path). The staff was just fantastic, so friendly and attentive. The room was beautiful with the most amazing view on the island. The community pool and restaurant were the best we saw on the entire island. We just loved loved loved our stay here. Made our honeymoon that much more special. Not to mention the staff prepared some special surprises for us on our honeymoon.

This hotel is on par with the great luxury hotels of the world. The view is incredible, the food is an experience I'll never forget and the service was the best I have experienced at a 5-star hotel such as Kirini. I could give countless examples but suffice it to say that I would recommend this hotel to anyone and my deepest thanks and appreciation goes to the staff at Kirini who made an exceptional hotel an experience I'll never forget.

Wonderful stay, fantastic staff

We have just returned from 4 days at Kirini in a beautiful and spacious junior suite, followed by being upgraded to a honeymoon suite for 3 days at the sister hotel, Katikies. Kirini is beautiful. Wonderful and comfortable rooms. Good and quieter location than most Oia hotels. Unbelievable breakfasts. Friendly staff. We also loved Katikies. Much noisier location but slightly more centrally located. Same delicious breakfast. 3 stunning pools. Gorgeous bar and restaurants. All very comfortable. But the thing that set Katikies apart was the wonderful Alejandro and his team. I had a medical emergency and Alejandro came to the local hospital and was a huge help and support during our stay. Can't recommend both hotels highly enough. Thank you.

An excellent hotel, but expensive for what you get

If you like luxury, this is a great place to stay. Just out of the limelight of Oia, on the quiet end (so a 10 minute walk in), the hotel is the perfect place to relax. The team are exceptional, and the hotel facilities are terrific - especially if you're looking for spa facilities. And the views from each room are absolutely mind-blowing.

But all this doesn't come cheap - and for the price, I'd have probably expected a little more for the money.

The smaller boutique hotels / apartments you can find may not have a spa, but some do offer an even more amazing stay, and much better value for money.

All in all, it's outstanding luxury and great service - but you're paying for it. So it just doesn't feel as special.

good view but not good service

hotel staff's behavior was not good for us as Asean.
Regarding our request, too late to take action.
a shower in bathroom is hardly using hot water which is really narrow and weak.... we could not enough take shower and stayed cold night. Of course we requested repear however hotel staff said " it is normally and it is not need to repear " we were so disappointed that ....
In respect to a view of Santorini it is wonderful.
We recommend to stay Katikies, staffs in Katikies are very good.
