We really enjoyed our stay at Strogili Traditional Houses. It’s at the edge of Oia so you still get the stunning views of the sea and Caldera cliff but you’re not right in the craziness with tourists everywhere and squished like sardines like in the centre. There are still a lot of nearby restaurants and supermarkets so it was still super convenient place to stay. We got the 1 bedroom with verandah with a hot tub and a Caldera view. It was a beautiful room. It has essentially 2 bathrooms with an adjoining shower but it has 2 sinks and 2 toilets which is so nice for a family of 4. The verandah was huge with a very nice hot tub and tables and chairs and lounge chairs. And the views are incredible looking out at the sea and you can see the other hotels on the Caldera cliffs which is so beautifully Santorini. The staff were very nice. The property also has a nice pool you can use. They gave us a welcome wine drink. And when we left they gave us a box of treats. They are so nice! It was a perfect stay! I highly recommend Strogili to anyone!

Breakfast was very good but a little late, however the server was very good and wanting to please. I think it would have been better if the had and espresso maker in the dining room where breakfast was served so that we could have coffee/drinks self service while we waited for breakfast. Overall it was a great experience/stay. We are seniors so it would have been helpful to have known our room required so many steps up and down the hill. I think we should have been informed if the availability if rooms closer to the top of the island but the rooms were very quiet and peaceful with a beautiful terrace and view. I would recommend this place.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The room was beautiful and our private terrace with the hot tub was huge! The location was also great, as we were a short walk to Oia but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. There was also a supermarket across the street. The views were incredible and our terrace felt very private. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was simple and just okay. We would definitely stay here again but would want a private pool instead of a hot tub due to the heat.

The location of this hotel is breathtaking, you are on the absolute best part of Oia. The center of Oia where the shops and restaurants are located is a 10-15 minute walk so that was a plus because taxis are expensive. The room was ready ahead of time since we arrived early. The front desk staff was very nice and gave us information in regards to the room. The complementary daily breakfast brought to the terrace was delicious and brought exactly at the time you requested. However, the only thing I will comment is having to turn on the heater and waiting for 15 minutes prior to showering. The pool is cold as is the ocean, so don’t expect to swim. Staying in this cave hotel was such a unique and wonderful experience. I highly recommend for couples. I stayed with husband and two teenagers.

My partner and I had the most beautiful stay here. The view was jaw dropping from our room. We wish we knew about the phenomenal breakfast on our first day delivered to your balcony - we would have it everyday, it’s so beautifully presented. The staff were so helpful and organised transport to and from the accommodation. We would stay again and recommend to everyone. Thank you for a wonderful and a time of a life time stay!

This stay was so incredible. The hospitality was warm, and the room was beautiful. This is an older property, and it shows in the bathroom mostly, but it is hardly noticeable due to the incredible view. Ioannis was a wonderful host upon our arrival, and the breakfast in the morning was so lovely to have while looking out over the Aegean. Would stay again!

Everything about this place was outstanding!!! From the moment we checked in, Thanasis was a wealth of knowledge and helpful information. He gave us some great recommendations on places to go, restaurants to eat at, and was just over the top helpful and friendly at any and every time we saw him. The room was perfect. It was exactly as the pictures described, beds were comfortable, the air conditioning was excellent. The view is indescribable- a must see, if you are in Santorini. I can’t recommend this place enough!! I will definitely be back.

Absolutely gorgeous property in the perfect location. We loved our stay at Strogili traditional houses. It is a very short walk to the city center of Oia but away in a less crowded, quiet and serene area. It is right across a mini market! It also has a fairly large pool area with a bar- overlooking the ocean! Just stunning. The staff was very warm and helpful! I recommending this place to all my friends and family! This was a great location if you want to stay in Oia. You have a beautiful view of the volcanos and beautiful balconies to enjoy your view. I loved it and wished I could stay longer. Ionnis at the front desk was an amazing planner and helped me organize my tours. I was a solo traveler and he helped me figure out what I could do to enjoy my stay in the limited time I had. Just tell him what you like. I have cleanliness 4 stars because I found a very long hair in the shower drain and the books in the room felt like they could be wiped cleaned (maybe they were just old).. I also had problems locking my room door and had to ask for help very last night but other than that— I loved my cave room and wish I could stay longer. I would definitely stay again at the hotel because it’s just a few meters walk from all the shops/people in Oia and there is a supermarket right across the street. You can put on a lovely outfit and take pictures on the Oia caldera while the sun sets. I didn’t eat the breakfast at the hotel because I don’t usually eat breakfast but it seemed very affordable especially for being in Oia. This hotel is definitely worth staying at, especially as a solo traveler. I felt safe, people were friendly, and I got great recommendations.

A Wonderful Stay in Santorini

We had a fantastic stay at Strogili Traditional House in Santorini! The location is ideal—the taxi can drop you right at the door from the airport. While it's a little further from the iconic Blue Domes, it's still just a short walk from the main area of Oia, which made it convenient for exploring the town.

The rooms are adorable, with a charming cave-style design that perfectly blends traditional architecture with modern amenities. Our room had an amazing ocean view, and we loved how serene and relaxing it felt. Waking up to that view was such a treat!

The staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful, which really added to the overall positive experience. They were always there when we needed assistance and made us feel at home.

The only thing I'd advise other travelers to consider is that the hotel has quite a few stairs to navigate. To get to the rooms, you have to walk down more than 50 steps, and after breakfast (which is served near the reception area), you'll need to walk back up to use the bathroom in your room. This could be inconvenient for anyone with walking difficulties, so it’s something to keep in mind when booking.

Other than that small caveat, we were extremely happy with our stay. Strogili is a great place to relax and enjoy your vacation time in beautiful Santorini!

The front desk staff was very professional, friendly, good communication and very approachable. The parking is just across the road from the main office. It was free. The staff helped and took the luggage from the car to our room which was very much needed. There was a mini mart at the corner and it was handy. The room was spacious, with a small kitchenette (fridge and sink); the beds were comfy, the wash room was spacious with ample supply of towels, and shower/bath accessories. Walkable distance to all good restaurants and shopping. Loved our stay and highly recommend it. Spectacular views.

Pros:
The location of the property is excellent. The views are absolutely gorgeous. We had the famous caldera view from the outside seating area. It is very close to the famous Oia walk. The bus stop is across the property. The supermarket is right next to the property. It was a great experience staying in the cave houses. Sophia from the front desk was accommodating and communication with the property was excellent.

Cons: we didn’t enjoy the breakfast. There were not many hot breakfast options. Also, the cleaning crew wasn’t cleaning the utensils in the sink properly. I saw food stains, or leftover food on the utensils every time after they cleaned them.

We felt very welcome during our stay. she helped us with all our questions, even offered to book for us reservations at local restaurants and call local taxi, gave us tips on a “secret sunset spot” away from the crowd and her favorite restaurant recommendations! Beautiful property with our room that had a lovely balcony with a view of the caldera. Location was perfect - in the heart of Oia, but still quiet, safe, and charming. We arrived in Oia and had a transfer bring us to the hotel. It was such a great location if you are looking to be close to Oia. Right next to the hotel was a market and a rental car office. There is also an amazing restaurant, MIA so close.

The reception staff is incredibly helpful and thorough. They started by going through the map of Santorini and asking us about our plans. Get the breakfast to be included in the room rate, it is so worth it. It’s beautiful to eat outside too.

Their staff assisted us with our bags down the stairs and then back up when we were leaving. We ended up renting a car and they had free parking which was perfect. Their pool was also just a short walk and had a bar in that area as well.

Only a short walk from all the shops in Oia. We preferred the shopping in Fira, but a great stroll down the Oia walkways anyway.
