These newly built villas are a cluster of cave houses in the heart of the caldera. Built in the traditional dug-out manner and constructed along time-honoured lines, they consist of fine accommodation units that have been designed according to the strictest criteria to satisfy evening the most demanding of visitors.

Situated in the best part of the village Oia, they enjoy the most spectacular view over the Aegean Sea. The hotel is within walking distance from the bus stop and from all shops and restaurants in the village.

The villas are elegantly decorated and consist of a bedroom and a separate living area, as well as a balcony enjoying views over the caldera. Guests can relax by the fresh-water outdoor swimming pool.

You are kindly reminded that according to our hotel policy, children under 13 years old are not accepted to our hotel for safety reasons.

It was a nice room but nothing luxurious compared with other 5 stars we've stayed at. TV is not smart and super small so pretty useless. Hot tub didn't get very hot and it looked dirty so we had to request it get cleaned. Didn't use it the first night cuz it was barely lukewarm.

On the plus side, beakfast was delicious and the view was amazing, and staff was as friendly as can be. We didn't bother with the restaurant/bar so can't speak to that.

There are better options if you're going to spend the amount of money this place charges. Felt like a 4 star hotel listed as a 5 star. Definitely overpriced. We won't be returning. 7/10 the disappointing hot tub really spoiled some of the fun of the place, but we did enjoy it one night after it was cleaned.

La Perla needs to do better.

The room was very nice and the staff was very nice. However we were supposed to get breakfast both mornings we were there and we never got breakfast. Also on the morning we were scheduled to leave, the porter showed up 20 minutes late and we had to carry our own bags up the crazy amount of stairs there. My daughter's neck and back are now hurting because of this. Therefore I can only give them 3 stars. They left us very disappointed.

Loved the location, smooth check in process, very hardworking staff / team esp kudos to Leo for walking our luggage on those steps!! He is amazing. Impressive service for bfast and we had a good selection of it everyday. It would be nice to have coffee creamers in the room. The rooms were cleaned everyday sometimes multiple times a day. The staff was amazing and super helpful. The room was consistently clean, it’s very well situated at the beginning of Oia making it easier to access. The view from the rooms are just magical and they serve you breakfast a la carte to your room which is beautiful and convenient. Highly recommend this hotel!!

Bad parking management

Worst : no remote parking door opener provided by hotel. Understand why they have only one door opener, but hotel manager never consider customer’s inconvenience. Our stay at La Perla was pleasant, the staff working at the reception were responsive and nice. They had a gentleman help us with our luggage at check-in and check-out which was great. Breakfast is lovely and they have a bar you can order drinks at with a nice view. We stayed in a honeymoon villa, but unfortunately it was not very private. The pool was in front/below our villa and the umbrella blocked some of the caldera view and there were people frequenting the pool. At one point someone was smoking underneath of us and playing loud music on their phone as we were trying to enjoy our wine in our hot tub so that was a bit annoying. The hot tub is really nice but you do have to ask them to turn on the hot water. You can enjoy a beautiful sunrise from this hotel but not a sunset as it’s East facing and be prepared to walk to go into Oia; when booking I didn’t realize the location was on the out skirts. Lastly, the transport out of Oia is quiet expensive, but the driver that took us to our excursion was amazing, he told us stories and gave us recommendations on dinning (Melitini and Pita Gyros) and sightseeing. Side note - I would not recommend excursions far away, it takes away time and is pricey (cost us over a 100 Euros for a ride there and back. There are several you can book in Oia itself and stay in Fira it’s more centralized if you plan on booking far excursions. Also, if you want a hole in the wall type of place for a quick bite definitely check out Pito Gyros!

Good pick but could do better

We stay 6 nights. View is amazing on the Caldera. Comfort is not exactly 5 stars and service was Just OK. COVID-19 may be the excuse or explanation but besides location nothing was far from being exceptional unless we do not have the same meaning of exceptional. At 500 USD per night you should made feeling bad or too demanding to ask for normal 5 stars service.
We enjoy Santorini but if we ever come back we know where we will not stay.

Nice views but no privacy

The service here is fantastic, Christina at the front desk is knowledgeable and helpful. Views are stunning, and even though you can’t see the actual sun as it sets, the color changing over the water is mesmerizing. The nature of the property puts you in extremely close quarters with other guests. I value privacy and found this almost unbearable. Being by the pool is like being in other peoples rooms, you are right in front of their porch and it’s awkward. Bed was comfortable but pillows were rock hard. Bath products full of sulfates and parabens. Breakfast was dismal, poorly cooked eggs and awful bread. If you’re looking for a true 5 star experience, this isn’t it.

The receptionist is very friendly and always have smile. They offer wide range of food choices for breakfast.

The hotel is overall good but we found many drain flies in the toilet of our room even though we have called the reception to rearrange cleaning. Some of them even came out to the bedroom when we opened the toilet doom.....

The reception explained that the room is closed to the flower pots....to be frank, they are drain flies which usually breed in drains & sewers. We are not very satisfied to pay over €300 for the room with drain files.

Amazing vacation!

Perfection. The staff is wonderful, the villas are amazing, I would highly recommend staying here. We stayed for a week and the pool never gets too crowded, breakfast was very good. We had to make some slight changes due to weather and Christina was great in suggestions on other activities and helping arrange transports.

This hotel exceeded all expectations! We were greeted by the lovely staff who also had a delicious drink waiting for our arrival! They also reviewed the island with us and recommended a lot of beautiful and delicious restaurants. We stayed in the honeymoon suite and the decor and set-up was really cool. Only missing feature was a full size mirror. I needed to go to the hotel restroom to by the pool to have a 3/4 mirror - still no full size mirror, but it was better than the bathroom mirror. The breakfast every morning was superb and the sunsets to die for! Pool is great for relaxing and location is perfect! You’re away from all the hustle and bustle in the center of the tow , so it’s more quiet and less traffic which is nice because at times there can be walking traffic jambs. When we come back to Oia we are staying here! They really understand the value of customer service and elegance!

Great for a week or so

The room was very nice (studio apartment style), although short of drawer space. You also need to be fit enough to manage the large number of steps. Service was excellent and friendly. Area was good for a relaxed time. Lots of good to excellent restaurants and enough bars. Nothing really bouncing, if that’s what you want. More of a couples kind of area.

La Perla is a gorgeous place to stay in Santorini. Close enough to everything in Oia to walk to. The steps are VERY steep and lots of them so be prepared when booking that to get in/out of the hotel you will get tired. However, the view is worth it! The service for food and front desk were outstanding! The cleaning service could have been a bit better - we ran out of toilet paper. However overall I would go back for sure!

The Best in Oia

I don’t think there are words to describe this place well enough. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt like we were the only people there. Not because we were the only people there but because they called us by name and provided us with such individual attention it was stunning. The food was exceptional for both breakfast and lunch from the pool bar. The drink options were excellent! The pool and view is truly to die for. You are staying in a cave looking right into the caldera. We arrived at dark, and when we woke in the light the next day, that view left me and my wife speechless. The hotel is located right at the beginning of the walk thru Oia. You walk to Oia castle in 15 minutes. This is the place for you if you want to have your breath stolen in both views and service. There is no better place to stay than this! The hotel arranged many transfers for us to other parts of Santorini. I can’t speak proper words to compliment this place enough.

This hotel is really perfect for couples. The concierge Rena and Christina and the bartender Alex were really nice and so helpful when it came to making reservations for us on our honeymoon. The pool was perfect, never packed since there are about maybe 10 rooms on property. The rooms were not huge, but that’s the vibe of Santorini. This hotel is really nice, quiet, peaceful and awesome for two people looking to explore all the shops just steps from this hotel :)

Best getaway for us to date

We were initially a little nervuos because this place (and Oia in general) are quite pricey, and we paid upfront months in advance; but from the moment of arrival, all of our apprehensions dissipated. We went to Athens first, and didn't fully appreciate just how much we needed a lazy, luxurious stay some place from where you can easily walk to amazing lunches, dinners, sites, and cute shopping. The staff was amazing from the time of our arrival to the airport when I called for a last minute shuttle booking, to the porter greeting the van at arrival and carrying all of our bags down the steep slope/stairs, to the desk staff's warm greeting with wet towel and sagria and patiently helping us book everything from catamaran to fancy dinners.
The 2x/day cleaning of the room, the pool, the bar, the views, the location, the staff--it was a dream. We couldn't stop taking pictures during our first descent down the stairs to reception, and this basically continued the entire stay. We made sure to reserve our last day for just enjoying a day at the villa by the pool being attended to by the friendly bar staffer. We were also pleasantly surprised by the large breakfasts.
Our room (\"Honeymoon Villa\") was a little small, the bathroom door didn't stay shut, and the AC was a little tricky, but these were minor inconveniences for us. Would recommend splurging even more on bigger room if it's actually your honeymoon. Otherwise, this place and the people that work here are just stellar.

My wife and I booked a honeymoon suite in July. Everything was absolutely amazing. From the beginning, they offer a concierge service (free) that helps you book and plan your whole trip. I was helped by mainly Christina and Rena. I told them what days I wanted to do what and where I wanted to eat and they gave me suggestions on excursions and restaurants. Since I live in the USA, it was difficult for me to make reservations due to time zone differences. They basically booked everything. They even had a ATV ready and waiting for me when I got there. The service and cleanliness was amazing. I highly recommend this hotel. Pool and drinks were great!

We stayed here for three nights in May. Best location in Oia. Gorgeous hotel filled with amenities. Wonderful room with private jacuzzi on our front patio overlooking the sea. Near all the restaurants and shopping yet very private because it is well below the main walkway. Very quiet and private with the incredible view. The staff rolled out the red carpet for us. The staff at the front desk were incredibly helpful in orienting us to the island. They helped us schedule fun activities and reserved seats for us in the best restaurants. The bartender at the pool made our stay even better. He shared information about the island and made sure we were content and happy. Thank you to La Perla for the wonderful memories. We will come back to LaPerla next time we are Santorini.

you need to know that space is limited in Santorini and you pay quiet a lot for a small room with a tv at floor level if you need to watch TV over there. staff is very friendly like all greek people i have ever met on these trips but just a few around. practically you never see them. you feel a bit deserted and not really pampered for your 600 plus dollars a night. santorini is a unique place and it has its price along with these other points i mentioned at least at La Perla

The beginning of the season so hotel was quiet and peaceful. The villa had 2 bedrooms as we wanted. It was cleaned every morning and left spotless by friendly cleaners. Quirky hotel with great views

Basically all of the hotels along the edge of Oia are going to look out over the Blue water and be very unique as they are all built into the side of the mountain. This hotel does have a pool and I think most rooms have a balcony. We booked the \"economy\" room which was very small. I had to hunch over to get into the front door and the same when going out to the balcony. The door height was maybe 5 feet tall. Same with the bathroom, my knees would touch the wall if I sat on the toilet and the shower head was pointed directly at my chest. So if you are 5 foot tall or less this would be a great room for you. Some room also have a small Jacuzzi -this one did not. It was having a glass of wine on the balcony watching the sun go down. Plenty of shops close by, head to the end of the Oia shopping area to the castle for amazing views. At sunset it gets packed so go before or after.

Great Manager and staff. Extremely accommodating. Location as perfect for walking to Naussa. Breakfast was great. Room a bit small. The real negative was the jetted tub was so small it was almost impossible to use. If you are a big guy or even average, see if there are any rooms with showers.
