Decent size room for Tokyo and although they do not offer as many amenities as other hotels, I think it's reasonable given their budget price point. A bit of a walk from the Metro station that connects to central stations like Tokyo and Ginza but the area is very quiet, located in a residential area on a street lined with shops that seem to be frequented by locals. Lots of small restaurants with a lot of character. Loved the area!

Front desk was amazing, room is very tidy. However they need to do a better job of screening their cleaning employees. I could hear one of them coughing and spitting as he was cleaning the rooms through the walls!, and immediately put out the do not disturb. If he was this sick he shouldn’t be cleaning and spreading germs in the guest rooms.

The location was excellent - close to a Metro station a few stops from Shinjuku. The street was lively, with restaurants, bars and several convenience stores, but the hotel itself was quiet. The room was clean and air conditioned, but very small (as are most Japanese hotel rooms)

Super location, 2 different train lines close by, very well appointed rooms and comfortable, staff amazing and extremely helpful, reception area had side room with: microwave, ice machine, laundry facilities, vending machines. Area around has super selection shops, convenience stores and restaurants, Shinjuku area is walkable- 20 minutes.

We had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel. The hotel is clean and offered all the basic amenities. The bed is a little hard and there were only 2 pillows, which makes sitting up on the bed a little hard without enough back support. The TV only has Japanese channels, which makes it not much of use for foreigners. There are plenty of restaurants near the hotel along with convenient stores.

This was like a cumbersome little hostel and not a hotel where even water was not provided in the rooms. Everyone had to come down to fill water in paper cups or own bottles after paying such hefty room tariffs. Even if you come down there were no tea bags. The breakfast is even terrible with no live counter, no honey, no tea etc and breakfast is closed by 9 am. Overall a very pathetic experience. Strict no go for families

Typical of most hotels in the heart of Tokyo, rooms at the Pearl are extremely small by western standards. For a single bedroom, you will have a bed, tiny desk and tiny walkway where you would not have room to open up a large suitcase on the floor. Location is very good, just two stops from Shinjuku. If all you need is a place to sleep, then the Pearl could be for you, but if you are looking for a room to relax in, then I would not recommend such a tiny room.

5 minute walk to a very convenient subway station. Super quiet inside. Firm yet comfortable beds.

The rooms are very small, but that seems standard for Tokyo. Great place for first time travelers to Japan since the neighborhood is more calm/easy to navigate compared to crowded areas.

Room was efficiently laid out for its size.
Despite being a non-smoking room, I think the shower curtain was retaining a cigarette smell, so the bathroom always had a faint scent of it.
Hotel is close to transportation and it's a really fun area to walk around and see a bit of normal life or find new restaurants.

Note that this is a business hotel, which means it's not big. It's a good choice if all you need is a place to sleep and shower. Walkable location to both Chiyoda and Shinjuku, find myself walking more than taking transportation. Akebono-bashi station is just right there, very convenient. Note that the station does not have escalator or elevator coming out of the exit, good luck with your luggages.

Nice hotel in a good location, fairly close to the subway station and only 2 stops from Shinjuku. The street is fairly quiet with very little street noise at night.
Front desk staff are helpful and efficient. We were able to send our suitcases to the hotel from our previous destination with no problem. Hotel will also keep your luggage after you check out.

The pictures of the rooms give a false impression.

The room I booked for 2 people looked like it had plenty of space according to the photos. The room we were given did not even have any room on the floor to place and open a suitcase. We went back to reception to ask for a larger room and showed them the photos of the room we were expecting. They came up with us to look at the room and changed it for us to one that had three single beds in it so we had some space for our bags. The bathroom was very small but that was to be expected. The people of the reception desk were always helpful and most were able to speak English. The breakfast buffet isn't actually a buffet - they bring a plate of salad, meats, scrambled egg. and a few slices of fruit. The area around the hotel has a good selection of restaurants and small supermarkets. It is a short walk to the local train station.

Rooms are really clean and spacious enough for 2 large (140cm) luggage bags. Floor real estate is usually an issue for hotels in Tokyo, but Pearl Hotel was rather spacious.

Great location. 5 mins walk to station And 2 stops to Shinjuku station which will take you anywhere. Staff are very friendly and the room is quite spacious comparing to other typical Tokyo hotels. Most importantly there are so many restaurants and supermarkets nearby that we were having difficulty choosing for dinner😂

While this room was insanely small, I suppose I should have expected that for Tokyo. Other than that it was clean and nice. There was nothing fancy but it was affordable for the city. They have a system where you have to put your card in a slot to turn the lights on which is great for being eco-friendly. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was in a neighborhood close to Shinjuku city (the lights and drinking and craziness) which was nice; quiet but walking distance to partying.

For the price, it's fine. It's location is also quite good with easy access to a the Shinjuku line and it's on a nice little street with restaurants and other amenities. The hotel itself, is very much a business hotel. Perfect for one night, but not the most comfortable place to set up base. Expect the bare minimum - for example, if you need an iron, go to down to the front desk to get it. Late check-out? Not likely. Really interesting that they offer you a choice between room cleaning service, or two bottles of water. A decent hotel would be able to give you both.

Located on cute street. Not very far from a subway station but I wish I would have had airport delivery my suitcase to my hotel. Loved they provided lots of bathrooms toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, sponge, toothbrush/paste, comb, razor, bottled water). I added the breakfast and enjoyed that. It’s the same thing every morning, but was good to me. I also liked they had a 3 twin bed room.

We were disappointed with one elderly staff who was tactless and embarrassed my wife in the public during the breakfast. My wife was simply filling water in her container so that she can take her medicine in the room. He came like a \"Policeman\" to stop her by gesturing with his hand and saying No! No!

My husband and I booked this hotel during our stay in Tokyo. We like that the hotel is very clean and convenient, with a few restaurants nearby and 3min walk from Akebonobashi Station. I also particularly like the foldable mirror in the drawer. We appreciate that the hotel could keep our luggages when we left for disneyland for 2 nights and there's a weighing machine at lobby to weigh our luggages. However, there's no free late check-out, and we have the manually change the sole of the room slippers. We booked the double room (not-semi double) and it was just nice for us. Pillows were not fluffy though, but overall a pleasant stay. We will stay here again.
