We did not go to the spa. And that other dream resorts we had a choice of top shelf drinks without paying extra. The beach was very small, but the pools were beautiful although I like to walk along a nice long beach.

Parking was easy and secured. The service was good, but it has room for improvement. We tried to call room service and the phone line never was picked up. Later we found out to do any room service request online only because we happened to see the instruction on the tv, otherwise we would not have known how to contact room service. The food was ok, we didn't eat much in the hotel since we went out of the premises to have dinner. Lost and found does not work there so don't loos your sandals.

El servicio por parte del staff que atiende en restaurantes y bares es TERRIBLE. Si no eres canadiense o estadounidense te van a atender mal porque suponen que no dejaras propina para todo. Por parte del staff del front desk y hosts de los restaurantes, super bien la atencion. El cuarto bastante bien, las piscinas y la playa super! La comida muy buena. No vayan al sushi bar porque el sushi es horrible. Los demas restaurantes muy buenos. En general nuestra estadia estuvo bien, pero el servicio deja mucho que desear. No recomendaria.

Secrets La Romana is a beautiful and well-maintained resort. The staff is friendly and helpful. They were very attentive to dietary restrictions. The food was great. The access to Dreams Romana doubled the size of the resort. Nightly shows enhanced the experience. We would go back.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the quiet relaxing atmosphere and if we wanted more activities we could go next door to Dreams. We liked how secure the property felt with guards on the beach. The room was clean. Lots of food choices between the 2 resorts.
Only suggestion would be to have more waite service on the beach area

A beautiful resort with very friendly staff. Everyone was very professional and willing to go the extra mile with anything. Food was delicious at all restaurants. I enjoyed having a separate family resort next door which had water park. Private beach was also stellar. Entertainment team did a great job during the day and also at night. Highly recommend!

Resort staff and grounds are beautiful. Secrets is sister to Dreams and in comparing the two; I’d select Dreams over Secrets. Luckily we were able to gain access to Dreams amenities. Their restaurants were better and overall Dreams had more to offer.

The property is attractive but dated, with decent amenities. It is not five star and feels closer to a 3.5 star experience. We booked a preferred swim out room, which we would not recommend unless you are happy spending most of the day in shade.

The value of the preferred upgrade was limited. Preferred access was not checked at the pool, drink service was inconsistent, and cocktails were similar across all areas. Access to Mare for lunch was not a benefit, as it served the weakest food on the property. The preferred lounge, however, was excellent, largely thanks to Junior and Wander, who provided outstanding service and cocktails.

Dress code enforcement was inconsistent. I was refused service at the coffee bar for wearing a crop top and shorts, despite seeing other guests dressed more casually in both restaurants and preferred areas on multiple occasions. This was uncomfortable and poorly handled.

Food quality overall was mixed. Noor offered good service and Sakura was decent, with staff often compensating for the food. Housekeeping staff were consistently friendly and professional.

The beach is very small with limited walkability due to rocks and debris, though the sunsets and water are beautiful.

Overall, this was our weakest accommodation across eleven properties during a month long trip, improved only by the service in the preferred lounge.

Hotel property is beautiful- beach is beautiful the rest is ok- not worth the price even if you are a preferred guest and honestly not real sure of the actual benefits- cold oily spring rolls? - there are better options - and don’t book an uber and if you do- please advise the concierge to ensure they can clear the gate to access the property- no one’s tells customers this information- we had to wait for 4 Ubers to access the property- good and bad I get it but being informed is the point.

Clean rooms! Housekeeping in all areas did a fantastic job! Some staff went above and beyond and others lacked basic customer service skills. Scores- the sports bar we were looking forward to, the entire staff was rude and would rather play games then wait on customers. Jose, Diorka, and Benny were absolutely fabulous! The food selection ions are the same everyday every rmal- so depending on the length of stay the options are limited.

Has a great time at this property with my mother and my sisters. The staff were all super friendly and very helpful. The beach was beautiful in spite of us going on a few rainy days due to hurricane Melisa. The pools and swim up bars were the best! The drinks were very tasty and the swim up bars were never crowded. I highly suggest tipping everywhere because the staff get paid very low salaries and because they are super friendly and the food and drinks were all excellent. Hibachi and NOOR were ere our favorite restaurants but we didn't try any restaurants on the Dreams side. We did go to the gym and water park at Dreams and that was great. Dreams is right next to door and adults at Secrest have full access to dreams. Even though dreams is right next door, they must have designed it in a specific way because e never heard anything from that side, but when we would walk over to dreams they had a more lively vibe and its music and list of games and entertainment happening at their pool.
Overall an excellent vacation. I already looked my next trip for December.
******make sure to take cash for tipping and tip at the bar a and restaurants. There hard work and excellent service will make u regret if you don't have cash******

The location of this property is beautiful and amazing! We have traveled a lot of places with beaches but this is one of our favorites! Food was also amazing with so many different choices for food. We loved this hotel. It is a beautiful resort on a very nice beach. The service in all its areas was great because the whole staff was very nice. However, I would like to comment about a group of employees who really made the difference for being extremely polite, helpful and very accommodating. They were Bianca Guzman, Yameli Bello, Luz Mary Perez and Dany Acosta all from the Caoba Restaurant, Sauri Santana and Yeifri Jean (bartenders) and Ernesto Ortega from the enterteintment team.What a nice group of employees!!! This resort was absolutely beautiful, the staff were friendly & kind from the minute you get there and even till the last moments you are there leaving. The beach was my absolute favorite part of the property, the water was clearer than the pool, no exaggeration. I will like to make a comment on the food, I disliked every restaurant BUT the cafe/buffet. The cafe & buffet had a lot of good food & different variety. The “restaurants” I felt tried too hard to make up fancy menus and being from the USA I felt the food choices were a mess and not tasty at all. If you like seasoned food & and even cultured Hispanic food, ur cafe & buffet will be your fav choice of dining. If you are younger & looking for a turned up resort, with hip hop music or any kind of party music & feel, this isn’t the place for you. The music is very much elevator music & it’s more of a relaxing environment. Just something to keep in mind. However I loved my stay here & I would come again.

We honeymoon-ed here for 4 nights, and it was perfect! The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, and the facilities were beautiful, well-maintained, safe, and walkable. The food and drinks were delicious with lots of options, and all of the staff were very generous with portions when serving/ making drinks! The only thing I noticed was that the family and adult side have quite a bit of overlap, so if you’re very set on being at an adult-only resort, that might be a negative. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, and plan to come back!!

They do not include a hotel shuttle. You must arrange transportation yourself and pay at least $100 one way for a 45 minute ride. They also want to take YOUR time away from you by selling you a product similar to a time share or telling you about the property. Some people are there to vacation and not be hussled. Also, the ATM is conveniently out of order. But for 10% to the hotel, they will give you cash. It all just seemed like a big scam, although, the property itself is very beautiful. The food was aweful for lack of a better term. The brand of alcohol.....sub par.
