Our experience at the Nova Hotel in Rovaniemi was simply amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food exceeded expectations. The buffet breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety—those eggs were incredible! It was also so convenient to walk to Santa Claus Village. The only note is that we stayed in a cottage, and the bedroom was upstairs—so if you need to use the bathroom at night, just keep in mind you’ll need to go downstairs. Otherwise, it was a fantastic stay, and we’d love to return!

Superb stay in Rovaniemi

A very enjoyable stay in a unique hotel that was spacious and comfortable including your own personal sauna and huge windows for stargazing. Staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Also, a 5 minute walk to Santa’s village, 15 minute drive to downtown Rovaniemi and about 8 me minutes from the airport.

We had a great time at Nova Skyland Hotel. It was a 5 days trip (4 nights) family trip to Rovaniemi. We were not lucky to have a proper winter weather on the first two days and the hotel location, walking distance from Santa Claus Village, plus the option for staying at Nordic Cottage saved our trip. Breakfast was good. The room cleaning could be better, as we found some hair in the bathroom.

We booked here thinking it was more remote than it actually was. It's on the same complex as Santa Claus Village which was a surprise. The hotel was very good though. We had a cottage which was clean and spacious with a private sauna. The only disappointing thing was that there were no music channels on the TV, v limited channels when you want to stay in and relax. The breakfast was great and all staff friendly and helpful. Recommended.

This hotel and room is beautiful, however it is not ideal if you want to see the northern lights, because it is inside Santa Claus Village and they keep lights on 24/7. You will only see the aurora if there are zero clouds and they are very strong in the sky. If it is cloudy you’ll see the reflection of the light pollution in the village. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay. The amenities in the room are great, the bed is comfortable, and the staff is very professional and nice.

Beautiful rooms, nice breakfast and dinner, well located. Rooms were a bit warm and didn't seem to be adjustable. Stairs have an automatic motion sensor that can't be disabled (unless blocked with a ladder) so beware if you have children sleeping there. Kindly provided an extra roll away bed for a 2nd child. Don't expect to see northern lights from the room unless they're very strong as there are lights nearby - should be viewable after a short walk - unfortunately not during our visit.

Stay here for 3 nights. Loved the in-room saunas, location and the staff was friendly and helpful. A couple of things. There are no thermostats in the rooms and the temperature is kept quite warm. If you are a hot sleeper, this could be a problem.

One of the next hotels I have stayed in so far. The wooden house was very cute and clean. It’s double-decked and super spacious. The staff were very friendly, particularly a male staff who speaks Cantonese who introduced our room to us patiently. One bad thing is the la k of autograph alarm.

NovaSkyland is so nice inside and out and only steps away from Santa Claus village !
I liked the two story unit and idea of a bed on the upper and lower floors and two independent bathrooms. In-room sauna is a winner !!!
And the thoughtfulness of preparing sandwiches for early checkouts is great !

We totally loved the cozy, new & contemporary decor of the suite, the stunning views of the surroundings from the skylight windows, and having our own sauna in our suite.

The location was perfect, within 5min drive to airport, 10min drive to Rovaniemi city and right next to Santa Village. Parking was super easy and free.

All the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was tasty, plenty. We enjoyed saying hello to the 2 resident reindeers every day which were outside the reception /restaurant area.

The hotel was surrounded by beautiful forest and snow and it was just magical to be able to walk around and enjoy nature.

We would love to come back again soon!

The property is fairly new but there were huge blood stain on the sofa bed , they had very basic dishes in the cottages all were stained and dirty had to wash them before use.
If you book this property make sure to get an insurance as if there is any problem like the current outbreak of Corona Virus the hotel will not help, they will not refund or rebook your stay. The hotel management is very much money oriented and have no compassions . I booked 4 cottages with them and had to cancel one due to young children tested positive for flu and would have been unfit to fly,I have medical report which the airline and hotel in Helsinki approved and issued refund. This hotel refused to help and non of the top managers tried to contact me or help at all. There are plenty of other hotels in Santa Village and all located very close to each other and walking distance from main attractions.

Loved everything about my stay here. The Nordic Cottage was very comfortable. The in cottage sauna is the perfect thing to relax in after a long day out in the cold. The staff were very friendly, professional, and accommodating. Breakfast and lunch have a variety of foods to choose from. However, having the in cottage kitchen is a plus so you dont have to eat out every all the time. The property is conveniently located at Santas village however is tucked away from the busy shops. The property is also a short ride to Rovaniemi city center as well.

it was Very clean, and had great amenities, we cooked one night and it was ideal if you didn't want to venture out. Tea and coffee supplies were supplied.

We stayed for 3 nights in November, arrived early on the overnight Santa Express Train but were able to have a coffee in reception and leave our bags in the hotel to have a wander around Santa’s Village before check in. The reception team were all very friendly and helpful, both throughout the stay and in answering questions before we arrived. We stayed in the Aurora Suite and it was absolutely beautiful, the Sauna was also a real treat! Unfortunately we didn’t get to see the Aurora but the team were really honest about the conditions (100% cloud) so we didn’t book a trip to try and see them. We also ate in the hotel on a couple of nights and the food was lovely. The hotel is right in Santa’s Village so it’s very easy to walk to lots of activities and getting the bus from the station to the village was easy and only a few Euro’s each. Thank you - We had an amazing time!

They only clean the property once when you leave which was a bit strange as bins etc were left.....bit odd for a high quality four star hotel. If you want daily cleaning they charge £50 a day. That's the only negative thing about the hotel. The rest was superb

The whole stay is wonderful, staff are very helpful n the cottage is amazing, the cottage is clean equipped with full kitchenette~ nice location, the hotel is just located next the Santa Claus village which is only few mins walk from hotel to the village n less than 10 mins driving distance to/from Rovaniemi airport~
The only thing is the door lock problem, the door connecting to the backyard is not able to lock properly n the main door is too hard to open.. the staff has tried the best to help the backyard door but still can’t fix it..
anyway it’s highly recommended to stay at this hotel, we love it.

Every aspect of my stay was 5 star from check in to check out. I appreciated my bags being places directly in my room while I was out exploring and my particular cabin had reindeer in the backyard. I only stayed one night, but would consider this for a multi night booking in the future.It was a great way to end my trip. The dinner in their restaurant was plenty and delicious. I booked this hotel for a special occasion on the hopes we would see the northern lights. Alas, I did not see the lights, but the hotel and surrounding area more than made up for this. It's beautiful and just an awesome place to spend some time. I was perhaps the most relaxed I have ever been here.

The light pollution was more than I anticipated here and it is not cheap to do anything here. Take money and an open mind on the lights and you will have a brilliant time.

We stayed at the Aurora Suite for 2 nights. The suite is very beautiful with great location within the forest and good amenities such as private sauna and fireplace. It was warm and very stylish. It was a pleasure to be there. However, for that price I would expect a better service in terms of the following. First of all the reception closes at 23:00 which means that after that time you can't have anything in case you need something. Also, there is no cleaning service provided, therefore if you need toilet paper, shampoo or whatever you will have to call reception during working hours to bring you. Finally, breakfast buffet had a good variety but both days food was not fresh. Pancakes, donuts, bread and even fried eggs looked like they haven't been cooked on the same day. Finally, the hotel offers transport to the airport in the price of 20 euro per person. However, if you get a taxi at the entrance of Santa Village (there is a taxi stand by the entrance of Santa village so you don't even have to pre-book one) the price to the airport is not going to exceed 15 euros in total!! You would expect that the hotel might charge you for transport but more than double the price of a normal taxi (and for literally 5 minutes drive) is quite unreasonable. Therefore in general I would say that the apartment itself is very good but for the price paid (£400 per night) you would expect service to be a bit better.

Never stayed at such beautiful & cozy place before! It has everything that we needed, huge windows, open kitchen, especially the private sauna. It really made us felt like home not hotel! I wish we could stay longer.
Except there are some dirty robes in the dressers & some cushion covers smell, but doesn’t bother our stay.

リビングの窓からもペットルームの大きな窓からもオーロラが見られました。シャワーとトイレは2ヶ所にありサウナも付いて値段相応のホテル。1階の洗面の排水管が詰まっていたようで水を使うたびに水が溜まってしまうことと階段のライトがスイッチを切ってもセンサーに反応して点灯してしまうのでオーロラを見ている時には妨げになったのが残念。
また、隣室に喧しいファミリーが泊まっていた為に遅くまで音や騒ぐ声が気になったので部屋割りには配慮して欲しかった。

Perfect house, perfect location, perfect hotel restaurant! Just 5 minutes walk to Santa Claus village. All parts in the house are in perfect condition, especially there’s private sauna in each house, an enjoyable stay.
Also, I sent the massage to celebrate my lover’s birthday at the very last minute and the hotel did tried their best to help with the arrangement.
The hotel restaurant is totally underrated and it only got 4.6 in Google. However, after having dinner in surrounding restaurant with a high-score, I think this restaurant should be the best one.

En el mágico ambiente de Santa Claus Village.

Cabañas preciosas, bien aisladas térmicamente y acústicamente. Con renos enfrente de las cabañas.

Tiene bastantes utensilios para cocinar y de baño.

Espectacular.

This is my first visiting Finland and Rovaniemi.
Great room and exellent staff!!
Except sauna facility.
Any way I will recommand the Nova Skyland Hotel to my freinds in the world.

Es war unser zweiter Besuch im Nova Skyland Hotel. Wir finden die Zimmer wunderschön und fühlen uns dort sehr wohl. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück gefällt uns sehr gut. Abends im Restaurant ist der Service hervorragend. Die unmittelbare Nähe zum Weihnachtsmanndorf ist natürlich sehr praktisch, besonders mit Kindern. Dieses Mal konnten wir sogar die Polarlichter bewundern. Rundum war es wieder ein gelungener Urlaub. Wr kommen ganz bestimmt wieder.
