Overall not a bad stay. We stayed 4 nights. The housekeeping could have been better and top up of tea/coffee/milk didnt happen. The family room had a great view of the river and lumberjack bridge. Location is great with lots of shops/cafes/restaurants nearby. Bus to Santa claus village leaves right outside. Lots of options for breakfast. Swimming pool is on the cold side when you first get in but you get used to it, maybe too cold for very small kids.

Very nice hotels with renovated rooms. Got a family room facing the lake in the second building above the Lapland Safari adventures shop. Elevator actually went straight into the Lapland Safari shop so I didn’t have to exit the building and wear tons of clothes in order to start my activities. The staff was super friendly and the hotel is close to the city center, shops and restaurants. The bus stop is right next to the building so if you didn’t want to use Uber, public transport was right there. I was traveling for work so needed a place that allowed me to work and have fun on my days off. The hotel was great for my 4night stay. Highly recommend for business or solo travelers like myself. Warm, renovated, cozy rooms with good WiFi and easy access to all Rovaniemi offers.

We have stayed here before and returned due to many factors. High quality rooms and amenities. Location of the hotel is perfect for any trip out. Views across the river are outstanding. Lots of parking spaces. Breakfast is great and the bar really good. The hotel has everything for families or couples.

The bathroom was super tiny. I understand it needs fit the size of the room, but it was super small. The sink beinh a size of a cutting board. Also a fire alarm was raised but there was no communication when the issue was resolved. The communication could have been better. Also the floorboards are mog carpets, the yoing ones kept slipping and falling as the floor was really slippery. The floor in the bathroom freezing during winter. I just dont understand why the floors arent carpeted. The hotel needs some refurbishments. Breakfast not so great either, could have been much better. Truthfully if given a choice I wouldn't want to stay here again.

Wonderful hotel, our room was modern and clean and fitted 5 of us in (2A, 3C).
The bus from the airport and to SCV stops right outside. Our room overlooked the river, there are playgrounds and shops within walking distance.
We didn’t eat at the restaurant as the menu wasn't to our taste, but there are loads of places to eat nearby. But the breakfast had a good selection, and we all managed to find something to fill up on for the day!
Also to note there are multiple playrooms for kids in both the restaurant and main reception area, which our kids loved!
Would absolutely rebook this hotel in a heartbeat!

Room was much nicer then the pictures make them look, was expecting budget travel lodge style from the photos bust actually really well done, good quality and lovely and warm, view was beautiful. I've seen comments about the tunnel, but it's not really that long and saves you going outside in the freezing temps to get to breakfast or the bar.
Staff were lovely, friendly and so helpful. Bus stop for Santa village/ park / airport just outside hotel (only real stop in the city for it) so perfectly located, breakfast was good and varied plenty of options for the whole family. If we were to come back we'd absolutely look to stay here again.

Check in was a complete shambles !
We booked a superior room ? The room was so small we had no room to move around , with a suitcase of 28inch a medium case we could not open the bathroom door , no safe , no phone or anyway of contacting reception, we asked for the room to be made up upon our return they had put a roll of toilet paper on the bed , the only thing that had been done.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The room, however, felt a little small and lacking, and we expected a bit more considering the price we paid. The layout of the building was also quite unusual — the very long corridors leading to the rooms made it feel more like walking through an underground car park than a 4-star hotel.

The staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay, although on one occasion housekeeping knocked to clean the room quite late in the afternoon. Breakfast was enjoyable with plenty of hot and cold options, though a few items that should have been hot were on the cooler side. Still, there was a good overall selection.

We did enjoy our time at the hotel, but like much of Rovaniemi during this time of year, everything comes at a premium.

Location is great. Behind the hotel is the river with beautiful views, in front is a bus stop to Santa Claus village. Multiple restaurants and stores around and close to city center. It's just that we refused cleaning but housekeeper came anyway while we were out.

Swimming pool was freezing (too cold to be useable) and areas of the hotel were worn/in need of renovation. Main single beds in room were very comfortable, but sofa bed was awful and has left me with a very painful back.

Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Restaurant's dinner was delicious! though service was very slow, I waited 40 minutes for my order to get to my table (only 1 person at my table). The room was spacious and comfortable, the view was pretty, but the cleaning was superficial. I found hair and small paper and plastic residues from previous guests. The location is perfect and it was an overall pleasant experience (except for the cleaning, definitely an area of improvement).

My family arrived at the hotel around 1pm. I asked if possible to check in earlier. I was told the room was not ready. We waited patiently and I went back to the reception to check whether the room might be ready around 2:45pm. The receptionist first said she was not supposed to answer my question as the standard checkin time was 3pm. When I insisted she checked again, she questioned my nationality. I requested to talk to a manager and complained about my experience. The manager said it was their standard procedure to ask about my nationality before checking the room availability. We finally checked in at 3:20pm. The first thing my son found near his bad was a pair of used underwear. The room is tiny. There is nothing except for 3 single beds.

I will definitely not be staying at this hotel in the future. The hotel staff do not respect the guests and there is 0 service. You definitely don’t want to see other people’s underwear in the room.

Our family vacation in Finland was still a memorable one except for the terrible experience at this hotel.

The hotel was located perfectly for our stay. High floor river view for NYE. Surrounded by lots of restaurants bars and two big shopping complexes.
Our biggest regret was booking a meal for NYE in the hotel at a cost of €70 pp! This was absolutely not worth the cost. It was buffet style, limited food options with no table service or entertainment. Very disappointed.
Breakfast was was satisfactory.
The hotel is just slightly dated inside and in need of some renovation. Two things for us were the fire pit around the pool area not being on. No ambient music and the sauna only being available 1700 til 2200.
We would also of appreciated our balcony being cleared of snow so that we could of used it fully.

We enjoyed our stay. The room wasn’t what the website said when we booked it, but it worked and we had a good stay. We booked a family room where we were supposed to have two single beds, a double bed plus a double sofa bed. We didn’t get the double bed, just the two singles and the sofa bed.
Anyhow, the breakfast buffet was amazing. One of the largest selections I have experienced as a free breakfast with the room. There was a bus stop right next to the hotel which made getting to the Santa village, Santa Park, and the airport very easy with Santa Express Bus. The hotel had a sauna and a pool. The water in the pool was too cold for me though. The downtown was a quick easy walk away so the location was very convenient. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is quite old. There seem to be a new wing but we stayed on the old wing.
The View was very beautiful though especially the trees with snow and the bridge.
Food was not so great (breakfast).
Overall a comfortable stay and walking distance to the city centre and there was a tourist shop (beside) to arrange for attractions.

Property was clean and tidy, in need of modernisation in places.
The pool was freezing but I am assuming that this is on purpose as this is meant to be used after the sauna in a traditional Finnish way.
We got little static shocks off the door handles around the lift and rooms which was unpleasant, not sure if this was due to the type of clothing we were wearing (ski wear) but we didn’t experience it outside of the hotel.
Overall our stay was good and I would recommend the hotel and the staff were really helpful.

This is definitely not a 4 star hotel - closer to 2 star.

Also, do not let the staff try and convince you to change rooms. We booked a family room (as it was only slightly more expensive than a double room). We thought we'd fold up the sofa bed so we have more space.

The receptionist told us since we don't have 2 kids we should take a double room, as double rooms were the same size as family rooms and without the sofa bed we'd have more space in the double room.

Initially we took her advice, but the double room was tiny. There was two twin beds and not much space to walk let alone fit a sofa bed (refer to photo of disgusting shower in the double room).

Fuming, I went back to her and explained I paid more for the family room and wanted to stay in one. She said she'd have to check if they were still available and managed to get me one.

The family room was extremely spacious and comfortable and probably 4 stars. But that initial double room was closer to a 2 star motel.

For the extra 9 euro, highly recommend you buy the family room (and don't get suckered in to giving it up when they see you don't have kids).

Great location right opposite Lapand Safaris (which I rated 10/10) and highly recommend you try if you visit Rovaniemi

On reaching the reception, we were directed to our room which was at another building, roughly 10-15 minute walk from the reception including going up and down, not fun if you have luggage with you. The room itself was quite old with twin beds. We were told by staff there are no rooms available with double beds in the entire hotel.

The beds and pillows in our room were very poor quality and resulted in both of us waking up (after a rough night’s sleep) with back and neck pain.

Our room was NOT SERVICED/CLEANED AT ALL for 2 consecutive days. We had to complain about this at Reception (after walking all the way from the room because the rooms do not have a phone!) each day. On the days that it was cleaned, it was cleaned very poorly.

There is no kettle provided in the room and obviously no tea, coffee, etc. You would think a 4 star hotel would at least provide a kettle for hot drinks when it is -15 degrees outside. Reception staff informed us that we can rent a kettle for 15 Euros per day. No safe provided in the room either to store your valuables, which is useful when heading out for winter activities, etc.

The reception staff were generally unhelpful and not interested in helping out either. The only helpful staff were trainees, the more experienced staff were quite dismissive and looked like they’d rather just be home.

2 decent points about the hotel - location is good & breakfast spread is decent.

We didn’t get the room that we paid for. We booked a family room for 3 and was provided a room for 2. No daily room service. While there was no in-room tea or coffee, you could get hot water from reception area which was then a long walk back to the room. Customers were regularly complaining and yelling at staff in reception area and staff appeared rude and didn’t seem to care much.

The Room’s TV is responding very badly. It takes awhile to respond. The room is too hot as in there is not enough ventilation. Need to switch on the fan everytime when back to the room.

Good and convenient hotel.

We enjoyed the comfort and the quiet there, though some rooms require a bit of a walk inside from Reception. The shuttle bus from the hotel to the airport was a very good thing. The staff were very willing to help and give advice, and there is an office for tours etc. next door. Check in does NOT close at 11 pm.

Excellent location, clean hotel.

Great facilities, restaurant was delicious and breakfast good too! Easy walking distance to everything and central location so easy pick-up for activities further out. Staff helpful. Room slightly small however this is advertised by hotel so was not a surprise.

Great location, staff were lovely.. Only annoyance I had was the long walk to our room from the reception entrance & not being advised by staff of the elevator in the Lapland Safari building that can be used during the day.. we worked this out ourselves on the last day. Breakfast was enjoyable..

Close to everything

Whilst I have rated this Hotel low, and we will not stay here again it does cover lots of things you need when on a holiday especially if you have children. I just felt that this hotel treats everyone like a number (money) not a person(referrals). Check in was dreadful only 2 on the counter so you had to wait ages to check in due to filling in paperwork with details which are on your passport the process would be shorter if you take photo copies of passports rather than filling in a form. You have been on a plane and all you want to do is have a shower or freshen up not queue.The room was OK very old looking. No double beds all single beds even though we booked a room with a double bed no drama we just rearranged to room. You cannot make calls from your room, no toiletries, broken lamp and whilst the doona was pulled up on the bed each day the room and bathroom was not cleaned over the 3 nights we stayed. Breakfast was a shambles most things empty and took 10-15 min to refill after you mentioned it to the staff. Conveyer belt food and everything cold and bland. I understands and appreciate it is Christmas and lots of people however the Hotel knows how many are checked in so therefore put more staff on to cover housekeeping and kitchen staff. What I did like about the Hotel was that it was close to everything we required. Should anyone ask me about this Hotel I will tell what I have said in this review and let them make their on decision.
