We stayed on the third floor which has great views and easy access to the infinity edge pool, which was a highlight of our stay on the island. However, the hotel condition is rough and quite dated. It needs a lot of work to be worth the nightly rate, in our opinion.

We were particularly thrown by staff that would regularly spit on the pathways, and even shake out their dandruff on the counter top right next to guests.

To end on a positive, we would add that the location is great! Far enough for minimal sound from the bars, but a short walk away.

This hotel could be so much more if they spend a bit of money on it. Great quiet location at the end of Ton Sai beach, fab views from level 3 (pool area) but the artificial grass area round the pool is a bit tatty, the restaurant area at breakfast is a bit dull and lacking light. The staff are great and helpful and the bellhop’s that transfer luggage to/from Ton Sai pier are great too. Room is large and airy with a great bathroom area and also has a comfy sofa opposite the tv. Aircon works well. The room lighting is operated from a single control centre like something from a 70’s James Bond movie! I would stay again if visiting but feel a facelift would elevate this hotel to better places.

Get the beachfront room. Only 3 of them. Worth the little bit extra. Last hotel on that side of island but the walk is fine. Plenary of stores if you need hydration. 4twenty friendly. Massage booths. Smoke parlor in town. Didn’t eat there. Went into town instead. Room was lovely. Great big shower for 2 easy. Out back balcony has pool private but shared with other 2 rooms. Beach and beautiful turquoise water about 30m away. Smoking allowed with ashtray provided on deck outside. Had issues with A/C both nights. But night dude, that doesn’t smile but helps greatly both nights, fixed issue. J

The resort is located far from the busy section by the pier which is a hugh plus. The view from the first floor was spectacular. The resort restaurant only serves breakfast which was good but starts at 7am. We met at the dive shop located past the pier every morning at 645am. They prepared to go breakfast for us. All the good restaurants are located in the pier area, so we did lots of walking.
A large room but the refrigerator was small. We needed to go to 7-eleven to purchase 3 large 6 liter bottles of water and carry them to our room which is a 12 minute walk. The resort only provides 2 small bottles per day.

We killed a few cockroaches. Not a big deal to me but my friend wore shoes inside the rest of the time.

3/5 stars. Its really not a resort by any means. It is a hotel with a pool and small breakfast selection. They unfortunately only provide 1 bottled water per day and you have to walk down to the lobby to refill. Can otherwise walk 5 minutes to the store which we did. Limited food options nearby, be prepared to walk 10-15minutes to anything. Did not offer luggage transport on arrival. Offered transport to pier at the end, but only at 2 specific times. Front desk girls were sleeping every time we walked by, sometimes we didnt see them until the security guard woke them up. The front desk is only staffed during day time hours. Rooms were clean and interiors were nice. Exteriors are very dated and need serious renovation work.

Better than our Krabi and Phuket hotels!

Luggage deliverer met us at the pier holding a sign and delivered our suitcases back to the hotel without us even contacting them. they also did delivery when we left. View was amazing. Breakfast also amazing with many selections. sadly they only had a 2 twin beds that can't be moved together. I did see a cockroach running out of the trash can but can't blame them we're in SE Asia. the room was extremely spacious with kitchen sink / microwave / fridge / living room and the bathroom even had a window so you can do your business and enjoy the nice view. room was cleaned everyday. the shower was clogged so hopefully someone fixed it after we left and let them know. Infinity pool was also great. Massages right outside the hotel for around 400 baht for an hour. It's about a 10 min walk to the main section of town so at night it was pretty quiet. much older folks staying here too so not much party scene if you're looking for a quiet place. the hotel also arranged boat tours but you can get a much cheaper price for luxury one in town haggling with the boat captains. we liked it way more than our Phuket and Krabi hotels. would stay here again!

We loved the room at the Cliff beach resort. It was very peaceful and quiet, away from the hustle of Koh Phi Phi. The bed was very comfy and the room was nice and cool. My only complaint was the rain shower head did not work in our bathroom and I saw a couple of cockroaches in the bathroom on our last night. I guess bugs are to be expected in the jungle

The ladies at the check in desk were delightful and kind. They answered all of my questions and were very helpful.
If you tell them which ferry you’re arriving on, they’ll send someone to meet you with a hotel sign and a cart for your luggage. That was nice!
The hotel is worn down, dated, and in need of a good scrubing.
The mattress had broken coils that pop when you get in and it lays on an elevated frame that extends so far beyond the mattress that you hit your shins on it getting in and your calves on it when getting out. The views of the beach are indeed gorgeous, but they’re packed with people and boats. The 3rd floor rooms overlooking the pool seem to have the best views. There are also pretty views of the cliffs when approaching the hotel, but you can’t see them once inside.
Breakfast was gross. All of the food was cold, except the fresh-made omelette, but it was cooked in a weird oil that didn’t taste right.
The room had excellent air conditioning, which was its one redeeming quality during the hottest season.
Phi Phi is a beautiful island and there may not be any great accommodations, but keep looking if you plan on spending any time in your hotel.

Gorgeous hotel with excellent pool. We stayed in luxury double pool sea view room on 3rd floor. It is exactly like the pictures. Very clean pool, outstanding views. Great small beach area in front of hotel. Clean and large room. AC worked great. It took us a minute to learn to use the shower controls but usually the hot water worked ok. The staff responded to requests for help quickly.

Location - both pros and cons. We loved it. It is the furthest from the party areas, so it was much more quiet than some other hotels I have seen reviewed. It is also a 0.5 mile walk to the main areas and pier. So each time was at least a 1-mile roundtrip to go eat or scuba or the other beach. My wife is sensitive to noise and only barely heard the loud late night parties one night. I thought it was very quiet, but it was out of the way. There are some small beach bars right near the hotel with excellent massage huts right on the beach.

The mattress was extremely firm. I thought it was ok but not great, but my wife hated it, however they will bring a cushion mattress topper if requested which helped a lot. That made it better for her, and they did that quickly for us.

The breakfast buffet was adequate with made-to-order omelettes and a six different hot food options which changed, some fruit and toast and cereal and other pastries.

It was not fancy and there were some areas that could use maintenance, like peeling paint on the steel girders, but overall was so beautiful and peaceful.

When I see the staff “changing “ bedsheets by just flipping the bedsheets on the other side , that would be a good introduction of the cleanliness.
The hotel has few cats that eat and poop between the sun loungers.
The list goes on , but you get the idea .
Need major overhaul of cleanliness standards.

The aircon didn’t work half the time and the hotel was outdated-wouldn’t say that it was worth the money overall. The hotel also had so many moths flying about in the corridors and on the stairs.

Stayed one night in Feb in a Luxury Twin Room, Sea View. Room was surprisingly large. It was clean, well appointed, the air conditioning worked well, the beds were comfortable, and the shower had hot water. The hotel is away from the madness of the central area so you can actually get to sleep at a decent hour if you wish. The buffet breakfast was very good. The hotel has a reasonably nice pool and a small private beach; however, because the property is tucked under a cliff to the west neither is in sun after about 3 pm. I found the hotel to be expensive compared to other areas of Thailand, but that seems to be the case generally on Phi Phi Island. I would recommend the hotel.

Good location at the edge of town, so quiet but a short walk to the middle of all the craziness. Great shower! After that, pretty average. Want ice? Go buy it at the minimart. Water? You get 2 small bottles a day; otherwise, head to the minimart. Unit had a small kitchen area, stocked with 2 glasses, 2 plates, and that was about it. Lots of empty cupboards. Breakfast was similarly marginal. Some basics. Very nice, well-meaning staff, but maintenance is not their strength.

Before I booked I read the reviews and I was waiting that the owner read them too and started take care. Is very updated, the varanda has a bad smell from the carpet that shouldn’t be there. The floor is ugly, the chairs so uncomfortable. The towels are old.

There was a large tear in the couch in the room; large crackers in the dry wall; the bathroom mirror had multiple large spots of rust all over the mirror; the towel rack was partially hanging off the wall; the shower head had 3 of 12 holes working; the towels were falling apart at the edges and had strings hanging off; but the worst was going to breakfast and the sewage smell was awful (we never went back for the included breakfast.)

Great place! Could use a bit of TLC, though.

We loved this place because it was located at the far end of one of the main beaches in Phi Phi, away from all the loud music and tourist crowds. The view was magnificent and the room was extremely spacious. It was, however, not well kept. The bathroom was not very clean and the place is showing signs of aging like rust on the ceiling and even crumbling pieces of wall inside our room. We mentioned these things to the staff and they took care of some of them. It was a great place to stay in general, but if you're easily put off by these things it may be good to look elsewhere.

This hotel does not live up to the Thai hospitality we experienced throughout the country. It is disgusting - our bathroom was not clean when we arrived, we found hair in the drains, and the counters were filled with dust and dirt. When we notified the front desk, they said there was nothing they can do because they don’t offer any refunds or partial refunds. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here.

Check in was very easy. Someone met us at the pier and helped carry our luggage to the hotel. Everything was fine until we walked into our room. There was some cleaning powder left beside the toilet. Water was draining out of the toilet. Shower room wasn’t very clean. And the pool needs some updates. We only took the stairs because the elevator was not reliable.

The location is at the end of north phi phi island with 10mins walk to the pier. The hotel stuff usually wait at the pier to help you take the luggages (which is unexpected). The stuff are helpful, the only thing I don't like is the room has directly access to the public pool on the second floor, people can be found during the night and early morning.

We loved the location and the amazing view. We’ve had to give a bad rating for the “service” purely because of the luggage porters as they were rude to us and very rough with our bags. They damaged 3 of our bags in the process of delivering them to us at the pier. The handles on two bags were broken due to their pulling and yanking and the third bags wheel broke due to the way they threw the bag on the ground. We were overall happy with the actual hotel and hotel staff but the luggage porters were a let down!

Property had heaps of great facilities, you will find that the resort had a bigger than average tv, a microwave and is very spacious. The microwave gave us the leisure of heating up our own food at our own convince which was a plus. Out suite was right outside of the infinity pool which was amazing.

The resort itself is a 10 minute walk from the central town, as the only mode of transport in the island is walking and boat you will find that getting breakfast, lunch and dinner will require you to walk quite a bit.

Another negative is that the cleaners only do the bare minimum in maintaining the cleanliness of your room.

The resort is also a bit old, the elevators play up and there is mold on the ceiling.

Overall I was very happy with our stay and it was one of the best resorts on the island for its price.

Do yourself a favor and do not stay here.

This is a where to begin and how much do I say in so many characters. The building itself looks outdated or as if they never finished it. The room itself smelled musky. The linens were dirty. And they do not change them. When maid service comes through, they make the beds and that's it. They do not sweep, wipe off the bathroom counters or shower. Overall, I wished I stayed elsewhere. If you choose to stay here, I hope you have a better experience than most of us in these reviews.

We loved the resort, the room was much larger then we expected. This resort is the very last one on the \"hotel strip\" which as a bit of a hike into the main shopping area, but was a nice hike. The hotel hosted the first night of drinks (soda & water) chips and peanuts, which was a treat! The monkeys really come running when they hear the bags of snacks crinkling.

We got the room with pool on the 3rd floor which was amazing. Must do! The staff were friendly. Our room was clean. We had a few problems though. When we arrived to the pier, we were told to find a man with the hotel sign, that he will take us to the hotel via taxi boat. We found him and he told us to hold on. We waited in the sun for at least an hour and he never showed up. So we ended up just walking to the hotel with our heavy luggage in the hot sun. Then when we were leaving the hotel, the worker said he will bring our luggages to the pier and meet us at the meet up spot. We went to the meet up spot and he was not there. We waited for 15 minutes and I had to dig through the crowd to find him walking away, towards the pier instead of the meet up spot. He then just waves his hand to follow him and nothing more. My friend went to the pier to get some money from the luggage and it looked like the worker was putting our luggage on the boat. Then my friend left. The worker said nothing. We get on the boat and when we land back in Phuket we find out our luggages weren't on the boat. We find out that the worker would only bring the luggage up to the pier. So we missed our flight & hotel stay in Chiang Mai and had to wait until the next day to get our luggage back. I wish there were some better communication with the staff. We had a lot of unnecessary mishaps that could of been avoided. So just a tip for those traveling there!

The location is 10 min walking from the pier, a someone can help you with your luggage and you can walk to the hotel. The property is located in a cliff. The pool view is spectacular especially during sunset. You will definitely encounter monkeys during your stay, on your porch - be sure to lock your sliding door at all times and don’t leave snacks around- the monkeys are clever. There is a nice beach just at door step with hotel chairs available at no cost. It is a quieter spot on the beach, so no noise at night- but if you want to go to the beach parties they are still 15-20min walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay and would reccomend this hotel.

Nice hotel away from the hustle and bustle

It was a nice place to stay of 2 nights. If we go back to Phi Phi Island, we would stay there again. We had the corner deluxe room with ocean view on the 5th floor, therefore, it was really quiet except the first night, our only neighbor decided to party at 10pm. Luckily we brought earplugs. The breakfast was really nice and it was different in these two days. Room was huge and clean but could use a little touch up paint in some area. The bed was hard like most Asian hotels. One thing to be aware is that beware of monkeys on the balcony and please don't feed them. The location is great for us because we want to stay away from the center town parties and craziness. It's a easy walk to there so it was just far away without being too far away. The front desk also helped us to get a private long boat for 3 hours tour for 1800b. It was worth it but remember to bring your dive booties because when were dropped off after the tour, we had to walk back over the rocky shallow hotel beach back to the building.

PERFECT hotel!!!

Words can’t describe how perfect this hotel is! My husband and I really enjoyed everything about this hotel. Our room was large and beautiful. We had a swim up infinity pool outside our room, ocean view, and a couch/ sitting area. They offer a free mini bar in your room with water, sprite, coke, and chips! The hotel also offers a free boat taxi ride from the ferry/ pier.

This hotel is located on the quieter side of the island (not in the middle of the party area), which is perfect for those not wanting to hear loud music/ noise when trying to sleep. The hotel was quiet and we were able to get good sleep! The staff at this hotel was AMAZING and sooo kind! They watched our luggage after checkout while we went to get lunch since our ferry was a couple hours after checkout (with no charge), they carried our luggage, and called our excursion company to help request specific food for diet restrictions.

They also offer laundry service (for a fee) and our clothes smelt amazing and were neatly folded. The house keepers are also great and made sure we had everything we needed! Lastly, we never saw one mosquito while at our hotel!

We wished we could have stayed at this hotel longer because it’s one of our favorite hotels we have ever stayed at!! I HIGHLY recommend this hotel! :)

Nice ocean view from patio. Don't stay on the fifth floor because there are lot of monkeys that will jump on top of the hotel roof from the cliff and swing down to the patio and will steal whatever left lying around

The front staff was very uncooperative. We requested for early check in and we were denied because we noticed the people from the room were still in the pool until 12 pm, whereas when we asked for a late checkout we were rold that they have someone checking in and we saw nobody come in until 1:30 pm.

Amazing pool and view, far from all the noise and wirhva nice beach private area. Breakfast was good and staff in general is very nice.
Rooms are very comfortable as well as the beds. Best floor to stay is the 3rd one with pool and ocean view. Full of restaurants bars close by and nice yours that you can get at front desk. I would come back and stay more days :)

The location of the Phi Phi Cliff Beach Resort is its strongest suit. Located at the extreme end of the island, one gets a great view of the bay and it’s sights. It’s a ten minute walk from the Tonsai Pier and not far from speed bot operators like Arisa.

The pool offers a breath taking view and do make sure to take the 3rd Floor rooms to afford yourself easier access to the infinity pool.

The rooms were well kept, well endowed and were well maintained. Staff is uniformly efficient if not friendly.

It’s not a place where you would expect exotic food, but breakfast is timely and has a good continental spread

Don’t Do It

My husband and I were on our anniversary trip and were told by so many people that Koh Phi Phi was such a beautiful island. While that is true (the views were breathtaking), I can not recommend this hotel. We were supposed to stay for 5 nights, but instead only ended up staying 2. The service was rude and treated my husband and I with such contempt. We asked if we could pay for an upgrade and received smart answers from the desk saying they were full. Which they were not. We walked past all of the rooms and there were pillows stuffed under the sheets. The bag guy dropped our stuff outside the door, but we watched as other people checked in and were given a tour of their rooms (how to work the AC, putting their table and chairs outside) and didn’t help us until after we had tipped him and ask for help. The beds were hard, the breakfast was sub-par, and for someone like me with a disability, the hotel is extremely inconvenient. Everything was outdated and there was mold all through the AC unit.
We also encountered a lot of racism while we were on the island as well, which left me in tears and begging my husband to get us on the first ferry out after our second night. This wasn’t the case anywhere else during our 3-week trip. We ended up going back to Karon, Phuket and staying at the hotel we had just left. I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially if you’re a person of color. Come for a day trip and then leave.

Could do with a good demolishing

1. Cockroaches and monkeys roam the grounds
2. Room Towels have various brown marks - no further explanation needed
3. Overall lack of service and quality
4. Bed Bugs
5. Renting a tent and sleeping on a beach during the monsoon would be more comfortable

Naturally the hotel will disagree with all of the above but that will pretty much sum up their blindness.

No frills stay in Ko Phi Phi

A nice hotel with lovely staff and some really nice facilities like a pool side room, free mini bar etc. However, for the price, there was no wow factor and breakfast had a pretty poor selection. Also, the restaurant was not open for dinner and there was no bar onsite.

This resort has the right location and nice amenities, however the decor is frankly strange, and the staff are not at all friendly. It could be an amazing boutique hotel with some revamping, and a solid lesson on Thai hospitality. For what you get currently this is over priced...

Not recommended and needs improvement

Room wasn't clean, had cracks in tiles patchy paintwork. Staff were rude and the breakfast inedible and the dining area was full of flies.
Phi phi island was good, plenty of places to eat and enjoy.
